1161  Other / Meta / Re: Give physical coins/notes their own board? on: May 16, 2016, 10:16:44 PM
There isn't enough of a demand for Bitcoin Collectibles outside of physical coins/notes for it to warrant it being split into two separate sub-boards. All that would likely happen is the activity from the Collectibles sub-board would move to this new one, leaving the Collectibles sub-board essentially dead.

Maybe a physical coin section with an auction subtopic?
IMO, the opposite should happen. I think that creating a Physical Coins sub-board in the Auctions board would be a better way to combat the messiness of Auctions currently, than killing a current sub-board to achieve it.
1162  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: May 16, 2016, 08:19:54 PM
Hi minifrij, could you please add fanbitcoin.com to the list as well. It is a bitcointalk.org clone and most probably a phishing site. It looks dead alike and if someone lands there and forgets to check the link in the address bar(like I did) and enter your login info there, you'd get your account hacked.
I've added it to the list with a note, since the site can (and should only) be used for archival purposes AFAIK. Thanks.
1163  Other / New forum software / Automatic URL encoding for links in URL code. on: May 16, 2016, 08:15:53 PM
The title essentially says everything. This would hopefully fix things such as spaces and [] breaking URLs on the forum.
This change is somewhat insignificant, however it would fix a few small bugs currently happening when links are handled (such as the one posted here) and would be fairly easy to implement I imagine.
1164  Economy / Reputation / Re: How clean my name if someone flag me? on: May 16, 2016, 06:05:42 AM
how exactly CAN domain names be used as collateral?
The domain is transferred to the person giving the loan, and is then sold should the loan be defaulted. If not, the domains are transferred back to the person recieving the loan once they have repaid fully.
The problem with taking domains as collateral is that most of the time they can't be sold quickly for a good price, causing the person giving the loan to be out of pocket for a while.

I have yet to see someone actually take a domain as collateral.   I'm sure it happens but.it's rare.  And I don't think your domains are worth 120% of the loan amount, which is generally what it needs to be.
I believe it happened when EcuaMobi gave a loan to liteon (which was defaulted). Not entirely sure if he has managed to get the loan amount back through collateral yet, which is the problem with accepting domains.
1165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: May 15, 2016, 10:44:34 PM
http://smasher.info/earn.php  They are closed the page 404 not found.
i have 55k satoshi there. Be careful guys..
I don't think I will add this site as I am guessing that it is a GPT. I won't add those to the list for the same reason as Faucets.

This site "bloclkchian.info/wallet-beta/" seems to be a scam trying tu use the name of "blockchain.info" ; they paid google adwords to put ads in the search engine when you write "blockchain info". I can't contact blockchain.info to inform them...
Added to the list, thank you.
In the future, if you see something like this you can report it to AdWords as well through one of their contact methods.

Added to the list, thanks.

Thank you for removing the http:// from your original posts. I would appreciate if you would do the same to the quotes in the posts quoted. Thank you.

They Also Ban Me To When I Request To Withdraw . After 2 Year My Earning LOL

Now I Can't Login ..Huh?
Again, please make or find a thread in Scam Accusations and I will add it to the proper list.
1166  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $20 Steam account credit for only $2! BiPolarDeal! on: May 13, 2016, 10:03:47 PM
You apparently dont read or see my first posts. I lost my password so I have a new account.
Alright, since you're going with this, can you instead sign any quoted addresses from your BiPolarBob account?
Take your pick between this one, this one or this one. You can sign any message so long as it is dated with the current date.
Or, have you forgotten the password to your wallet too? Roll Eyes

Which registrar is this domain with?
1168  Other / Meta / Re: Account Farmers are the new Ponzis on: May 11, 2016, 02:19:37 PM
People who make money out of it by doing it fair and square have to suffer if this is banned.
People make money by the illegal drug trade, performing hits on others and other malicious activities. By your logic, since these make some people money from these they should not be banned? Please think about what you say before you say it.

I believe that you need to take a more subtle perspective to this problem; rather than banning account farming and selling.
The staff have tried to be subtle and just delete posts, however this has just allowed it to escalate to the point it is currently. Subtlety allows people to exploit it for their own gains, which is unacceptable. Something drastic has to happen in order for the problem of account farming and spam to be stopped fully, especially considering the level it is currently at.
1169  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] BalanceBox - useful for faucet(FaucetBox) owners on: May 10, 2016, 11:40:56 PM
* Quick installation, just copy a folder in your website and set some variables (Passwords and apikeys mostly).
...
* In order to send BTC it requires a Coinbase account
How do you plan to prove that there isn't a backdoor in your script which will use the user's API/Password to steal from their accounts? Are you willing to give a vouch copy to a trusted user who can verify there is nothing shady in the script?

Also, would you be willing to use a forum escrow to secure the transaction somewhat?
1170  Other / Meta / Re: How do I know whether I have replied on a particular thread before? on: May 10, 2016, 12:01:45 PM
But I think you can also take a look at your Watchlist lists.
Your Watchlist only shows topics that you're watching if a new post is made in any of them. To see all threads you've posted in, you would need to look on the Edit Watchlist page.
1171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fontase twitter scam on: May 09, 2016, 10:43:03 PM
Having three newbie members all go towards the same target in quick succession means pretty much nothing here. To those who have been here for a while it just looks more like someone shilling for themselves/their friends to try and gang up against someone.

How's about one of you provides some sort of proof towards your accusations? I recall him always paying out giveaways and such when I used to follow him.
1172  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: May 08, 2016, 01:18:39 AM
How can I send blocked visits a URL?
For example
Code:
yourdomain.com/blockeds.php
You can edit the banned() function to redirect your users. At line 1467, you can replace:
Code:
http_response_code(500);
With:
Code:
header('Location: PAGE.PHP');
1173  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcoin AD-Networks on: May 07, 2016, 10:17:29 AM
There are lists of reliable ad networks at this thread and this thread.
If your site is smaller (Alexa ranking < 1,000,000) then I would reccommend A-Ads and BitMedia. If not, I've heard that MellowAds works well.
1174  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: May 06, 2016, 06:31:37 AM
Indeed, working on a little side project right now, this is what I have so far;

http://92.222.76.28/

What do you think?
You don't seem to have a PHP parser installed on your server, as it is just showing the FaucetainABox Source code for me.
If you're trying to host your own server and having trouble, there are packages such as Wamp and XAMPP that come with PHP/MySQL installed. The only problem may be that you might have to install additional PHP libraries to have the script work fully.
1175  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: May 05, 2016, 07:04:10 PM
I really like the concept of Faucetbox but here is the problem i can not modify the template as much as i want, the site still looking a to another shitty faucet.
what is the easy way to implement a template from a normal website in faucetbox??

thanks a lot guys
have a look to https://darkhash.co.uk
Learn a decent amount of HTML and CSS. You can completely change the way your faucet looks if you know your way around both of those well.

If you want to implement a faucet into a normal website however, one way I used on an older site of mine was to make a separate page with a bare-bones faucet (E.G Just the address input, captcha and submit button. Any anti-bot features should probably go there too) then to use an <iframe> tag to put that page into your already existing webpage design.
1176  Other / Meta / Re: URGENT: please peer review a possible back door in Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2016, 11:47:44 AM
I did not write that text with bolded phrase and without the context of the caveats that I provided at the deleted thread which was quoted out-of-context and missing the link to the context
Regardless of whether the context is provided, trying to deny you wrote the text is a lie. Granted the meaning changes somewhat when context is provided, however it doesn't change the fact.

I don't understand what this thread's point is. Are you complaining that the staff deleted your post, or just trying to spread your 'facts' around the forum further to cause unnecessary panic?
1177  Other / Meta / Re: URGENT: please peer review a possible back door in Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2016, 11:31:30 AM
Who are you quoting? I never wrote that text.
Yes you did. Either that or you decided to take credit for someone else saying it. Maybe you should go to a doctor and ask for an Alzheimer's screening, considering you've already forgotten something you wrote today.

Dude they know they can't ban me. I have too much political clout here. You should be careful with your words.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm terrified.
1178  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: May 04, 2016, 10:09:56 PM
I think if faucetbox add a feature to make faucet with any currency this will be awesome
This would be impossible. FaucetBox would need to install each coin to their server which would not only take a lot of work, but be extremely unprofitable and virtually impossible for them to keep up.
If you want a faucet for a small alt-coin, you will need to buy a server and run the daemon yourself.
1179  Other / Meta / Re: Activity not rising on: May 04, 2016, 06:57:59 PM
The activity system is made up of two week activity periods. In each of these periods you can only get 14 activity (by making 14 posts).
If you have already made these posts and gained 14 activity, you have to wait until the next period to gain more.
1180  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: May 03, 2016, 06:30:42 AM
Is there a Faucetbox faucet script that holds a balance threshold before it goes to faucetbox??
I  believe that the MiniFaucet script by Elbandi can do this.
