Sold out for now but I hope to replenish the supply in a few days...
1163  Economy / Goods / Re: Raw Burmese honey on: March 05, 2012, 03:25:32 PM
I sold one bottle, so I still have one bottle left.  If anyone else is interested in a bottle for 3.75BTC including registered air mail (trackable online) just holler at me.
1164  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTCPak - Exchange your Bitcoins for MoneyPak: secure, anonymous and easy! on: March 05, 2012, 11:43:02 AM
I bought two more $100 paks.  There was a tiny glitch with one but when I e-mailed DBordello he sorted me out very quickly.  His service is top-notch.  IMHO, this is just what bitcoin needs right now.
1165  Economy / Goods / Re: Raw Burmese honey on: March 05, 2012, 10:37:22 AM
Well I got an education at the post office.  The postage alone for two 100ml bottles was $11.11.  That means that after I pay for the padded envelope and the bottles I am darn near even.  I am afraid I have to charge 3.75BTC per bottle including shipping.  Right now I am out of stock unless the customer who has two bottles on hold releases them.
1166  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTCPak - Exchange your Bitcoins for MoneyPak: secure, anonymous and easy! on: March 04, 2012, 08:49:42 PM
I just bought a moneypak from the site and it is smooth.  Very nice interface.  Got my code as soon as the sixth confirmation hit.  This is so much nicer than the long delays for an exchange to cash me out.  The fee is worth the peace of mind.
1167  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24 hour auction **Peridot from Burma 3.23 cts square** classic step cut on: March 04, 2012, 07:55:31 PM
No sale.  I am marking this one down to 17.5BTC.
1168  Economy / Goods / Re: Raw Burmese honey on: March 04, 2012, 07:32:55 PM
I only have 2 100ml bottles left right now.  Let me see if the honey guy is around tomorrow or if he is back in Burma.  I could ship you the 750ml bottle but it is glass, and I think that would be very heavy.  The plastic bottles weigh virtually nothing.

I will definitely look into larger bottles if the shipping cost does not burst my bubble tomorrow.  Smiley

BigPiggy gets the nod at 4.25!  Congratulations on a very nice stone BP!
1171  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24 hours **Natural citrine oval 4.08cts from Brazil** clean stone on: March 04, 2012, 05:24:14 PM
BigPiggy is in the lead at 4.25!  It's a horse race here!  Anyone at 4.5BTC?  Remember I pay the shipping- registered air mail with tracking.
1172  Economy / Goods / Re: Raw Burmese honey on: March 04, 2012, 02:38:21 PM
Inaba I will report my experience after I ship this tomorrow.  It is very possible that I will lose money at 5BTC for 2 x100ml.  The parcel after packaging weighs over 350 grams.  If it turns out OK and the shipping is not as expensive as I fear (it is going to Europe) I will do more at that price.  If it turns out I lost money at that price I will drown my sorrows in some very, very fine honey.  With a shot glass.  LOL.

Unsold!  I will take 3.75BTC and that includes shipping

...when an auction like this one goes unsold for the 24 hour auction period, I mark it down until it sells.  If it gets too low I just let it run off the page.  The moderators may be looking at the auction forum now so we will see if there are new rules.  I'm fine with following rules.

I think I see the root of the problem.

"We are sorry, this wasn't our fault directly and we were chasing up constantly with our provider as we had sent the transactions and payments."

When I send a white gold ring to be rhodium plated I don't tell a customer who complains that "It's not directly my fault- I didn't plate your ring."  I am responsible.  My customer pays me, and they trust me- and I am responsible.

The cold, hard fact is that you told me during the last batch of transfers that the money was "already sent" and it "should already be there" and you said these things day after day after day even when they were not true.  Instead of the 1-3 days that you promised, it took 1-2 weeks.  And now it is happening again, and you are using the same excuses about your banking partners and AML.  These are tired excuses Crypto.  If you want to fix the problem you can't continually pass it off on your "banking partners".  You have to own it first.

1176  Other / Meta / Re: I feel tiptopgem has destroyed the auctions board. on: March 04, 2012, 07:13:22 AM
Boss the number of auctions anyone has up is a function of how much work they are willing to put into their business.  Also bear in mind that for some businesses, listing is more involved than others.  I take the train into the stone district here in Bangkok, sort through parcels of stones, take the best ones home, photograph them, crop and resize all the photos, and then write the auction copy and list it.  It is substantially more involved than saying "I have a federal reserve note for sale."  It seems to me that if you want to list a lot more of your auctions your investment in time, money, and effort is very small compared to mine.

If the moderators determine rules are needed then I will do my best to follow them.  But don't fall victim to the crab mentality.  My business helps bitcoin.

You guys are hitting on many of the irritations with CryptoXchange.  I have been a customer for a month now and I am totally fed up at this point.  Yes, it is very expensive.  The entire month I have been promised a new fee structure- coming very soon!  Withdrawals take FOREVER.  Think 1-2 weeks!!!!  And every time they act baffled that your money is not in your bank account.  Well- if they bother to answer at all.  Amazing that people in a business like that take weekends off to golf or whatever.

The rule of thumb with Crypto is if you ask a pointed question, they don't answer you at all.  If you ask anything on Saturday or Sunday- no answer at all.  And yes, in spite of many requests the interface is still very cluttered.  It is an utter mess.  Why try to pack as much as possible onto each page?

Here is the latest example of just how bad things are with them.  I have been waiting for a "wire" that is "in processing" for maybe 10 days.  Folks, as a business person living and working in Bangkok I can tell you that a wire has never, ever taken that long.  There is something they are not telling me.  I can move money between here and Europe or here and the USA in one day- or two at the most.  Right now I have maybe $900 that is tied up with them.  What is much, much worse is when you ask to transfer money they might answer or might not, and sometimes you have to ask multiple times and it takes 3-4 days for them to even begin the process.

They have a new person who is in charge of withdrawals- Malinda.  Never once has answered an email that I sent.  Great new system.  Bottom line- they are not ready for this business at all.  Stay clear of them.

Thank you for the bid!  Binox has the opening bid and the lead...for now.  Do I hear 4.25?
1179  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24 hours **Natural citrine oval 4.08cts from Brazil** clean stone on: March 03, 2012, 06:07:41 PM
This auction ends:

Sunday, March 4th at 06:06:40 PM
1180  Economy / Auctions / 24 hours **Natural citrine oval 4.08cts from Brazil** clean stone on: March 03, 2012, 06:06:40 PM
This is a very lovely oval citrine that weighs 4.08cts and measures 11.87 x 9.91 x 6.53mm deep.  This is a natural citrine!  It has been treated with heat only- no other treatments like chemical diffusion, dye, or filled fissures.  It was mined in Brazil.

This is not hydrothermal synthetic that is most common in the market.  This is a natural, mined stone that grew in the earth.  We never, ever sell synthetic stones as natural.  We always disclose treatments.  These are very important issues for informed colored gemstone consumers.

We guarantee your satisfaction on every gemstone that you buy from us.  We can do this very easily because we live and work in a colored gemstone cutting center.  There are very large amounts of stones available to us and my wife Melanie and I sort through parcel after parcel, day after day in the hunt for the "Miss America" stones.  That is how the Thai gemstone dealers mock you when you choose the beautiful stones and leave them the junk:  "Oh, falang (white foreigner) only want Miss America!  Leave me junk to sell!"  It can be very comical.  But yes, we only want Miss America.  That is all you want to buy so that is what we choose.

This is a very clean stone with a VVS clarity rating- meaning it is "very very slightly included."  The inclusions are tiny and hard to see, and there are not many of them.  This is the highest rating that is given to colored gemstones according to GIA.  Diamonds also have two grades above this- FL, and IF.  Flawless, and Internally Flawless.  But neither of these grades applies to colored gemstones.

Bidding starts at 4BTC and the increment is .25BTC.  Good luck!
