1161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: August 08, 2014, 05:17:22 PM
I have finally connected my miner to my network and set up the miner config page but my stupid question what do I do to get it started?

I have a green light that comes on periodically but it doesn't stay flashing. Is my config set wrong?

I have

Pool 1:                   stratum+tcp://pool.mycryptoco.in:50150
Pool1 Worker:       wallet address
Pool1 Password:   x

What coin are you mining?? have you tried another pool?

Sorry at work.

Was trying Trinity Coin. But I didn't have a chance to try another pool but I did set up Pool 2 for a different coin and pool.
Based upon their settings, that was the correct information. Did you check the system log?

I know where to look but not what I am looking for. I literally just got this yesterday and have never used one before.

EDIT: The last date in my system log looks like this:

Wed Dec 31 18:00:11 1969 kern.info kernel: [    0.000000] SLUB: HWalign=32, Order=0-3, MinObjects=0, CPUs=1, Nodes=1
Thu Aug  7 22:50:11 2014 cron.err crond[575]: time disparity of 357961 minutes detected
Thu Aug  7 23:15:01 2014 cron.info crond[575]: crond: USER root pid 4176 cmd /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor

After looking through some settings I see I am not on correct time and time zone so I synced that.

Ok After doing that I can't log back in. Ugh. I wish this was simpler like the BFL's. Install driver and run BFG miner.

Finally got everything up and going. Turns out my router ip wasn't saved correctly in the Antminer setup page.
Glad to hear!

One last question.

Is it possible to solo mine into a wallet on another computer with this?

I am trying to solo mine the Trinity from Rig A (with miner) to Rig B (with wallet). I keep getting on the Status- Dead under the Miner Status Tab.

1 880(not titan) run at 3 x 750t speed, unless it consume more than 180w and cost something like more than $600, it will be a great gpu for sure, and you need less rigs which is also a good advantage over 750ti

We can only know until someone try it out with actual hashrate data and watt at wall.

i posted the specs not long time ago, one 880 is x 3 750ti, 880 titan is 3.5-4x
And the price will be 4x 750ti ...

MSRP is supposed to be between $450 -  $499

Maybe I missed it but how many total blocks for the coin?
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: This Dev is a f moron on: August 05, 2014, 03:12:25 AM
You guys do realize it was only rolled back like 8 hours right?

I realize that. 8 hours that could have been some where else. Actually a full day and a half from when earlz figured it out.

I kn ow the dev said he has no plans to get this coin listed but what kind of faith is lost in the dev and his "future" coins or books/novels as he calls them.

I am just saying that the mystery was figured out a day and a half ago and a lot of this could have been avoided by people who actually paid for miners. I did not rent but I see those peoples views. Nor can i read code so I would have never figured it out which means I am the one this coin was meant for initually. Blindly mining a coin at launch not knowing what I was getting into.

And yes I would have pulled some rigs off it a day ago at that point and went on to something else. Yes I still have 1 rig on it.

That was only while it was broken. Now I will pursue exchanges, since it's fixed and safe, now. I really wish you guys were more mad at yourselves for blindly throwing BTC and hash at something you were being told was broken, but I guess the entire point was lost

Either way, it's a solid coin now and there was only a few hours lost from the rollback. I'm sorry to say, but those of you whining are just proving the point further that you should be more careful

Mad at ourselves?  You can't be Fk serious?  How would anyone know you had a shitcoin, shitplan and shit for brains?  GFY

I find it funny how mad you guys are at him. It clearly said this coin had an issue. He could have just launched it with a weird name, not brought attention to the problem, and dumped all over your faces

I approve of this honest and fair lesson. Big time - Stop doing stupid shit

If you read all my posts you would see that I understand what he did. But show me in the OP where he EXACLTY said there is an ISSUE.

I read this. This coin has a mystery. Not This coin has an issue.

This coin has a mystery...
It's not malicious...
It's not obvious...
Virtually insignificant...
But when found...
Will raise the due diligence standard

Yeah if I could read code I might have found it. My whole point was it was figured out and the dev lied and said that wasn't the mystery/issue that another member found until that said member went ahead and did it. My whole point is that should have been the end of it there. Not letting it drag out another day and a half of mining.

Call me crazy I am still mining with one asic even though the dev has not been posting in a while now. We'll see if he is pursuing exchanges now.

Kinda off topic.

How do I find out my main wallet address for verification purposes?

Not the address I set up for pools for payment.

Elaborate please on what coin/wallet you are referring to and if you are linux/windows.

Fuel Coin tried to hard fork but failed so they are creating fuel coin 2.

I hav to send my wallet address with the amount of coins to convert to the new coin.

I know about the address i create for pool payments but not my "main wallet". I gues what i mean by "main" is if i looked at a rich list how do i know my address on the list?

I am on windows 7 64 bit.

EDIT: And the article says only 3 days but you posted 30 days in the thread.

I'll be ticked if I lose out since I started this on day one.

@ cayars

I am an idiot. Sorry, I thought I was on nvminer 7b but I was on 6c. Any ways updated to driver and all is fine now.

Weird. I am still running cuda 5.0 with all the old ish files, maybe your running newer?

I just noticed that there is a 340.52 driver. Trying it out now.

Not sure what Cuda I am running. Was using nvminer D7
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 04, 2014, 12:58:51 PM
I keep getting driver crashes running jackpot on 340.43 driver. I am on windows 7 64 bit.

Doesn't matter if I run ccminer or nvminer.

overclock too high? i am running the latest drivers, 340.x with jackpot i haven't had any trouble on my 3 750Ti's. Windows 8.1 that is mining at 5.5MH/s each

Nothing overclocked besides the factory OC.

Ok guys so i am stuck with a seriously problem right now.
After just realising i had 0.26btc sitting in my wallet which i forgot about, my mining cards have now paid for themselves.

The problem is i haven't turned them on in over 2 weeks because nothing is profitable to my knowledge.
So what would you guys do? sell the 3 cards for roughly £200 back, and the psu for £80
or keep them and see if anyone is nice enough to start me mining in the right place again?

honestly with work etc. i don't have the time to read like i use to, and i guess i have gotten a little lazy which is why cudamining.cc hasn't had its full recoding yet.
So what would you all do honestly?

Keep going and hope for some nice hints off people or sell up and stop?
(would rather not do option 2, i love this community)  Smiley

I say to keep them and put on a coin and try and stack up.

The 800 series should be out next month. If rumors are true about the 880, 3 times the performance (not sure about mininig) of a 750ti and around $499 msrp, things should be good and only 200 watts.

I hear what everyone is saying about profitability. Just too many coins coming out left and right.

Dwarf stats might be messed up. They show more pool hash than net hash. 7.81 Gh/s

And Mining Pool Hub shows 3.72 Gh/s of the 7.36 Gh/s total network. Also Mining Pool Hub shows twicw as many workers (I believe they hit the last 3 in a row.)

I could be wrong on all that though.
