1161  Economy / Economics / Re: Gary Gensler should be sacked----Warren Davidson on: June 28, 2023, 05:02:06 AM
He should be sacked because of his conflict of interest of how he wanted to work for Binance and got rejected. And now he is basically again crypto most likely because he was never hired a few years back.

For this reason along he should be removed and should of been fired years ago and all these crypto SEC lawsuits need to be dropped because they are unfair. However this most likely won’t happen and if it does it will take years before he is replaced.
1162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will another ETF be immediately bullish for Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2023, 04:57:23 AM
Most likely if there is word that it’s approved there will be a huge rally. Because since it’s a spot etf, it means that the issuer needs actual physical bitcoins, and these are scarse on exchanges pretty much in large quantities. So there will be a bubble of some sort but a mini bubble.

Then when it launches most likely it will peak like it did the prior 2 times and start to head down wards. Unless we think that this time it will be different.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 05:10:39 AM
One thing you need to realize is that if one holds a coin and sells at $10K the perhaps the order is split maybe in 2 people who invest in Bitcoin at $5K each.

When Bitcoin is $100K and you sell then you need 20 people if they invest an average of $5k. If you go to $200K then you need 40 people. And you aren’t the only one selling.

So the higher Bitcoin goes the harder and harder it will be to rally since the market cap is already high. So don’t make prediction like Bitcoin going to $1M because it’s not easy.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Firm Riot Secures 33,000 New Rigs for $162 Million on: June 27, 2023, 05:05:27 AM
Yes this is pretty bullish because it’s a huge investment and next year is the halving. So obviously the smart money knows that Bitcoin is not going anywhere.

Institutions and these large companies invest for the long term. Most retail invest in the short term and that’s why we still got bears around us. News like this is proof that you need to think crypto long term and not short term. Short term it can still break down $20K but what matters is that it stays above $20K next year and the following.
1165  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: June 27, 2023, 04:36:34 AM
I remember when Elon Musk said he would donate his money (or some of it actually) if it could end world hunger. He just wanted a calculation proof first that it was possible.

After many weeks nobody could come up with a way for his wealth to solve world hunger problems. Most don’t realize that. Even if they donated all their billions most of the world would still be poor. There are bigger issues at play here.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everything is on FIRE today! on: June 27, 2023, 04:30:12 AM
The news is not false. It’s easy to prove they they did actually apply for the etf by looking at the application they submitted. Whether it will be approved is a completely different matter.

What’s not good is that we hit the yearly high and went back down. Not looking good unless we can close above the yearly high in the weekly candle close.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: June 27, 2023, 04:25:44 AM
There are lots of privacy and security issues with crypto.

Apps like Metamask tracking your IP address with their forced RCP url
Most coins have no privacy at all, totally transparent. Not good if you reuse addresses
Exchanges which get hacked or peoples KYC details are stolen.
People getting sim swapped and everything

Before mass adoption these issues need to be taken care of first.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hi i have question on mining on: June 26, 2023, 04:10:05 AM
Basically there was a coin called Ethereum which was very profitable for about 6 years. However last year it disabled mining by video cards and just doesn’t transactions by proof of stake. So most video cards basically lost out on tons and tons of profit.

Hence why for years you might of heard about people mining with their video cards but unfortunately that time is over and there is no decent coin out there with good profitability.

Mining Bitcoin is also difficult because the equipment is expensive and most farms have cheap power compared to households.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have betted 100$ on this token [BSC CHAIN] and I explain why on: June 26, 2023, 04:06:23 AM
I learnt that if you ever want to buy any type of meme coins or hype coins. Whatever you do, don’t buy it on networks like BSC or ARB or MATIC, only buy on ETH network. You got a better chance of actually buying something good.

Many tokens on those networks are usually rugs. Doesn’t mean there aren’t rugs on ETH network but there are just more on those L2 networks than ETH.

Hope nobody got suckered into buying this coin.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARPA will reach its ATH price? on: June 26, 2023, 04:02:53 AM
It had a nice rally a couple of weeks ago. However if you look on the weekly chart it looks like a nasty candle. I don’t think it means short but most likely it will go nowhere unless there is some volume going into the coin.

It peaked during the bull run of 2021 and those ATH will be tough to beat for many coins. Remember back then people were buying everything like crazy and values were overestimated. However for ARPA since it launched late it didn’t really crash that much. Either way, won’t see ATH for a while.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: chainlink price prediction on: June 26, 2023, 03:59:26 AM
Link was big back in 2020-21 but basically for the last year it went nowhere. Pull up a monthly chart and you can see it traded in a tight range and slowly went downwards. I think unless there is more development it will just keep creeping down.

Alts are not like stocks. There are some stocks which can be dogs but if the company exists and makes money then it’ll have a certain value. Alts like link unless they bring something new to the table they will be forgotten and go nowhere.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that if you bounce bitcoin back and forth to different wallets on: June 26, 2023, 03:51:21 AM
What you are describing it pretty much what mixers do. They basically take your Bitcoin and send it to other addresses that want privacy and they are sent at random amounts and random times. Is it truly anonymous? I don’t know. There are some firms that can trace it anyways perhaps.

Keep in mind if you do this and send to an exchange like coinbase there is a good chance your account might get locked since they don’t like it when they receive funds which come from a mixer. Due to AML they are very strict.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin ETFs on: June 25, 2023, 05:44:42 AM
The SEC in my opinion is very unpredictable. Especially when It comes to crypto.

They sued Ripple
They let Coinbase on the stock market
They let Ftx get away with everything
They sued binance, coinbase and kraken
They rejected all the spot Bitcoin etfs but allowed an 2x leverage etf to launch.

So who knows what the outcome will be with this blackrock etf. Everyone will think it will get rejected but in the end it might actually be approved.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you running your BTC wallet on Linux? Why? on: June 24, 2023, 05:19:01 AM
Yes windows is very unsafe. I remember installing a new fresh copy of Windows7 and right out of the box there was some malware already due to some bugs. After the service packs were installed it seemed fine but shows you how unsafe and targeted it can be.

Whether you use windows or Linux you need to use a cold storage or hardware wallet approach. Don’t keep your private keys or seeds on an online computer ever. You can use something such as electrum which is free and can have a fool proof wallet solution.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost coins redistribution on: June 24, 2023, 05:14:30 AM
I don’t think there will be a consensus for a hard fork to add this feature. Seems the only people to benefit would be miners pretty much. No Bitcoin holder would want this since it increases the supply and will lower price.

I think one of the Bitcoin forks had a feature to do this. Might of been BSV where it allows the unspent coins to be in circulation again. Had a bad negative response from the community and most likely BTC won’t have a positive response either for this to happen.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: June 23, 2023, 03:41:33 AM
Crypto is rallying because of the positive news with the spot Bitcoin etf. Generally blackrock gets their etfs approved by the sec. So since they applied and 2 other companies also filed for a Bitcoin etf, it had a good chance of getting approved.

If approved then the bitcoins will need to be purchased and stored in coinbase custody. So there is less and less supply and price has to go higher. And ETH is just along for the ride same with other alt coins.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the steps in understanding technical analysis? on: June 23, 2023, 03:37:57 AM
Just understand that if it was that easy by Simply buying when price hits some moving average or selling When price hits some RSI then everybody would be very very rich.

Technical analysis is not perfect. You need other methods for taking a trade such as fundamentals or order flow. With crypto it’s more transparent than something such as stocks which have tons and tons of insider trading and manipulation.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is next for Bitcoin? Seems like the only winners are early adopters unless on: June 23, 2023, 03:34:59 AM
You are correct. Bitcoin won’t make you rich anymore unless you are already rich. Those that bought large amounts prior to 2015 and held are very wealthy, maybe some who bought the low in 2018 and COVID low at $3-4K. But these days you buy at $30K, unless it goes to $1M which it won’t. It won’t make you rich.

Same with buying Ethereum. This is why many are pumping coins like Pepe out there because that has a possible 10-100x move. Same with all those other meme coins. Remember shiba inu? Yes these coins can make people rich but not Bitcoin itself. Market cap is just way too high.
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 23, 2023, 03:29:37 AM
The $30K is not really that much of a important resistance are. It never was. Same with $50K when most people assumed it would be the top last cycle.

This entire rally is based on the fact that the spot etf might be approved and we got 3 different companies apply for etfs. What this will do is create demand for real spot bitcoins which are already in short supply and should cause Bitcoin to rally quick.

Hopefully they won’t get rejected.
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Fun Fact] Is Gold scarce ? Bitcoin is ! on: June 22, 2023, 05:56:09 AM
When it comes to gold. There is lots of it on the planet but the cost to mine it is very expensive hence the supply is capped. This is similar to how anyone can mine Bitcoin with their laptop. However it’s very expensive due to the electricity and hence why most people don’t mine Bitcoin.

So there might be a star which has tons and tons of gold. However how will you extract this gold and bring it back to earth? Seems impossible pretty much.
