Eadeqa your supposed to be a "respected" member of the nxt community.. stop talking shit about nem as if nem has done something to personally harm you. i know you want to "fit in with the gang" and all but this is just lowering you to a bottom feeding troll destroying what ever respect you had.
This isn't a new point. Nxt didn't have development fund, so unclaimed coins went to development development. Nem already allocated 25% for the development, and now they are planning to add unclaimed coins to that stash, growing the development fund to 50%. I mentioned this months ago, and back then Jaguar acknowledge this could become a problem. Nothing has been done to fix it, except doing exactly what I warned will happen. Nem has the biggest percentage of coins controlled by the developers, only behind Ripple. 50% of coins would be controlled by the developers. Im sure there is something we can do to SHOW that the unclaimed stakes are NOT controlled by the Devs..........have you any ideas? Nothing has been decided yet. And it is not the plan to make them developer controlled as there is no plan as of yet. We will come up with one and then will be the time to complain. Just a sidenote: All the complaints have lead the core team to actually consider burning and/or raising stakes for existing stakeholders. My guess is we won't do 1 thing with unclaimed stakes. We will probably do a couple of things. |

So, what ever the real address is, it have to match to the token during the launch?
I don't understand what you mean by that  You have to keep the private key in a safe and secret place. Don't ever loose your private key or reveal it to another person. Come launch you can import that private key in the client and you'll find your NEM in that account. The token won't be needed then anymore. It's only needed to register your address. |

It is a trustful bank, and Kraken as exchange is also known for the most of the community. Nem could be a big supporter for the first cryptocurrency bank ever and the CCbank for NEM, and its a real big promotion as well. Lets think about the potencial in the future. I suggested that as well  My idea was to become one of the partners and distribute the unclaimed to new customers of the first crypto oriented bank. That'd be quite awesome. Many new, real people that are obviously crypto interested. Won't get any better than that. |

Questions: if i create "real account data" and repeat it (after closing client etc.), do i get the same result or does the client generate new one? same as the NXT AE people have to redeem their asset. A deadline will be announced soon. How can a receiving address be tested to confirm it works before requesting the stake? Dou you mean how can you test that the data you've created work ? There is a function for that - in the same menu - in the client. |

I'd like to address all the, very forseeable FUD that is being spread around one more time.

Truth: Devs aren't taking anything. It was explained numerous times what is actually meant with development and nothing has even been deicded yet.
Lie: Devs are breaking the rules because they changed the stakeholderlist again
Truth: No one is breaking any rules here. What is happening is the rules are being enforced. If the final stakeholderlist had been actually final all those people that fell for the phishing attack would have had lost their stake for good. But we helped them to exchange their nick on that list. How come noone started complaining about breaking the rules back then ?

Truth: My guess is you don't even know what you are talking about. Like we said in the write-up on how we proceeded WE DID NOT STORE ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. We can now that stakes were registered by the same person but we have no means of finding out who that person is. We can't even find out which part of the world they live in.
As to why we did this...
People seem to think that distribution isn't important. For non inflationary coins distribution is very very important. Not only because we want to get as many people as possible to get their hands on NEM but also because whlaes are destroying the market especially if they don't actually care about NEM. Look at other cryptos that are in the hands of a few. As soon as the price goes up is dumps down again because the whlaes start cashing out. People that got excited about it and just bought in instantly loose money and probably interest because they don't want to be dealing with these kind of games.

Short question about about the remark on the beta download page: I use Firefox 32 bit and a 64 bit Java on Ubuntu - everything works fine. Why the restriction? I suppose the address/key generation is not affected by this, the data look fine and the client has verified them correctly...
Which restriction do you mean ? If you were able to generate a key then everything is fine |

I'd post this on the forums but it's not sending me an activation email. I'm being accused of being a sockpuppet... which is pretty devastating.  Is there any way I can appeal this decision? I'd appreciate it hugely if I could... PM me any responses to keep the thread clean... (Just an aside: that wasn't a very mature way of going about removing someone's stake. Doesn't exactly give off the vibe NEM wants does it?)
Plz conteact the forum administrators about the mail...you should be getting it. About the appeal...in your case it isn't going to get your anywhere. The data speak a very clear language. Im registered.
Are we going to have the coins on the 0.4.12-BETA or is going to be other one for the new coins? Ive created the real account there but is not shown anywhere.
Coins will come when we launch the live-net which will happen later this month. |

where do you get the idea that there should be more ? 1 address can count for x stakes since there was no limit per tx. 502 bad gateway .......when I click the link It was online for like 1 minute to test...of course someone noticed |
