You don't to believe in the reliability of a site which is just a crypto calculator, hosted on godaddy whose merchant is not even verified

no. it's even:
Quote
Multi-currency account
Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Darkcoin, Blackcoin and others

Instant exchange
Instant automatic cryptocurrency exchange

and that's what I'd like to make use of. But given that almost every exchange got hacked and/or lost ppl's coins I'd like to know at least who is in charge before giving him my coins.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptonator.com - cryptocurrency conversion tool, 300+ currencies online on: October 29, 2014, 03:44:02 PM
can you explain why anyone should trust the site with their coins?

"As explained in the Guidance, a person is an exchanger and a money transmitter if the person accepts convertible virtual currency from one person and transmits it to another person as part of the acceptance and transfer of currency, funds, or other value that substitutes for currency."

So we're all money transmitters now.
All culprits=all innocent.

Is there an API issue? We're not seeing any issues on our (MRR) side, let me know if I can help

(ugly) reality:

The values (at least for X11) are wrong by like 500%+.
See the actual rates for a multipool here http://www.wafflepool.com/stats/x11 and compare them to your chart.

Thanks to you today I rented a ton of miners and now I'm mining at a loss.

Someone please find their secret sauce.
1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 25, 2014, 09:26:37 AM
Here's the thing. This is entirely rigged to suck out your coins cheap. Then they will sell your coins to their buddies and watch you panic buy. But there won't be any cheap coins then. I know how that sounds, but real life is just that idiotic and we now have the attention of people with no sense of fairness.

lol dumbass, keep telling yourself that lie.

He might be right, Mr. Personal Attacks

I'm sorry, but picking some elaborate conspiracy over the simple and infinitely more plausible explanation (supply and demand) is literally being a dumbass.

Wonder why big dumps use to happen in the weekends from some time. As if bearwhales were not into gains maximization (in US$) but just into maximizing the price splash ...er crash. If it were a conspiracy we could even be dealing with someone with a money printer. Or another large exchange scandal.

I've got a rig folding from 12 hours with 2 radeons 5870 (cpu folding disabled, it's a dual core pentium), but they make just 34700 PPD together. Seems too low (?).
ATI driver is the latest (downloaded yesterday). Log below. Any advice welcome.

P.S. anyone has experience downvolting Radeons to fold? These babies used to mine for years finely at 0.985 v.
and could Xfire them be a good idea for folding?

[edit] on a machine with 2 Radeon 5870 folding it says that I'm making 3357 Points Per Day, which is way less than it should be according to your guide (which I followed on every point)

Any advice?

Bitcoin is no safe haven.
When the economy goes to shit people aren't gonna be "i'm gonna switch to Bitcoin". Many here just keep blindly repeating this. Based on absolutely nothing. Bitcoiners made up this myth. The average person won't have a clue why you think this way.

it's mostly about inflation: an 'ideal' scenario for btc would be a monetary policy Argentina/Japan style on a global scale (quite likely imho). And a reintroduction of capital and currency controls (quite granted to come next imho) would be another big pump factor.

Not upset. Just trying to turn this thread into something productive.

looking at previous experiences (pirate, DPR, Karpeles), the most that can be done is having the perp(s) indicted. But recovering any coin is a different and quite unlikely story.

Regardless, people invested and lost.

They lost money and gained a life lesson. It's still a trade. No reason to be upset with whom told ya so.

plus, anyone leaving coins on an exchange deserves to lose them.

problem is that if you don't keep coins on an exchange, then you can't trade. So if everyone followed your advice no BTC market could exist.

I have joined back in summer with 4K (earned in 6 months of mining LTC / VTC with 4 computer rigs, they've cost me 10K, now I am full of R9290x video cards and can't even sell them at half price) and earned (by totally reinvesting profit) around 8.2 K until last week. Also have put my 1st withdrawal for the initial 4K last Friday since that was my ROI day.

Rule #1 when 'investing' into risky schemes is to not 'reinvest', but withdraw a.s.a.p and as frequently as possible until you are in the green. Only after you recovered your funds you can reinvest or keep playing with the house money.

With 4K you should have withdrawn 150+ USD/wk. With the above tactic your 'loose' would have been almost nil

there is little to go on in terms of finding John "Mr. Big" Carley.

if they found Pirate@40 and DPR, mr. Carley do not seem to have many chances to stay lost.

I will be publishing my report to my Unofficial group in a matter of time.

Please repost here your findings since several of us would not touch FB with a 10-foot pole.

There have been all kinds of "Is it a Ponzi?" checklists around but the number one evidence it's a Ponzi scheme is that if they have so high returns, why the fuck would they pay out so much? Even an average Joe can take some credit card debt or a second mortage on his house and pay at most low double digits in YoY interest. Why would anyone, EVER want to pay more than that, and even advertize it as an investment opportunity if they weren't a scammer?

Because getting in debt means having to assume the whole risk and having to pay back anyway sometime. On the contrary selling trading shares you unload the whole risk and costs on investors and just skim profits. It's all stated in their small print which nowhere guarantees anything about the return OF any investment. Add to it that it's only them who write and keep their book, and it means that it's just a very risky bet based on their word, which might theoretically make sense, but looking at the too consistent payouts, joke of customer relations, and very lame excuse for the recent block of withdrawals now more than ever seems like a scam.
