You do know that every X algo is also sooner or later going to have special mining hardware for it? This only delays the outcome which SHA-256 are not afraid to live with. And everyone knows it, so X coin investors have yet more incentive to dump early, because the value is guaranteed to fall at some point due to new ASICs which then erase the only advantage most of these coins have. SHA-256 coins start with ASICs at square one, so they have nothing to lose in that aspect and can focus on other priorities. This is just my observation.

Yes, small miners are out of luck here, but alternative solutions are possible - I will personally ensure a simple but effective solution allows small miners back into the game, among other key changes, if Darren hears my proposal out.

I totally agree with you, but what u say is just an confirmation about what i said.. New miners can find a way into the X coins because at this moment (for what i know there is 0.0 news about X hardware) you can use ur PC by getting coins.

This PayPro coin is maybe good for miners what have special hardware, nobody else can do something with it.

Not hating, like your coin and enthusiasm. Just as far as I know, theres not much innovation in sha-256 that can be done ~.~. But then again, I dont know anything. x) will be watching!
Most people look for innovation in all the wrong places, hashing algorithm being one of them. All the new ones seem to achieve is attracting pump & dump groups, while hardly affecting the difference in network security. If a coin's sole innovation is a fancy new hashing algo, that's almost a guarantee that within a month the only people still holding any of that coin will be bag holders who bought in at the top of a pump and are now puzzled over why nobody wants to buy their coins for even half of what they paid for them. Still, few people recognize what PRO can bring to the table, with the right guidance. Wink Interesting days are coming up ahead, folks.

The thing is, i get interested in this coin till i saw sha-256, nothing wrong with it. But new comming miners can do nothing, when i go to paypropool i see this:
7 Miners
5.40 TH
SHA-256

What means, if new miners want some coins, they must buy special hardware to start with this new coin. Ofc they wont do that. Mining with ur PC is a waste if i see this terrible stats.
So only bitcoin miners with perfect hardware are giving this coin a chance?

Bitcoin is not even half way to the top, and still rising.. Bitcoin got the trust from gouverments etc, so if u think this wont be a bump / dump coin ur living in a dream..

Anyway cause i sold my mining hardware some months ago, there is also no reason for me ( and i guess for almost all people ) to join this?

If u took with ur good attentions an X algo, what is still special hardware proof, u could take it much further... Even that's a fact that all coins are bump and dump except bitcoin, everybody try to find the fastest way to get bitcoins, by buying, mining or trading, all want bitcoin and nothing else at the end

Hm nice i see the nav price is already going up again, i want to vote for your coin on cryptsy ( lovely trading site, i dont use any other, no im not advertising, just advising Cheesy ), register there plox
1166  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: is it profitable to start mining today?? on: July 16, 2014, 08:50:24 PM
True. It's almost not even for altcoin mining.
I have a fun question though..
If you mine just with your regular quad core cpu, for two hours per day, which are your chances of finding a block?
Are these chances less than buying the cheapest lottery ticket of a normal national lottery?
(Let's say a lottery where you guess 5 out of 50 numbers)
It's usually called "the fools tax" lol.

Well the topic starter seems not to read?
Anyway bitcoin mining is some kind of waste of money, unleas u have free/cheap power costs ( like other says ), u can better buy bitcoins, because the price for 1 is only raising up.

What i do i mining alt coins, like i mined some coins a few days, at that week i earned like 10 dollar, 2 weeks later the same coins brought me to over the 200 dollar for the same coins ( not more ).

u can beter stay on this forum for 2 weeks at least, and read all the topics what tracks ur interest, and at this moment i advise the alternative crypto topics.

But again if u have free / verry verry cheap power costs at ur home or somewhere else, u can mine bitcoins for sure.

Update: I'm testing the Update client , among great FUD over here we are getting there and people remember this , this is a Community Coin and help us at this time rather than trying to make your own gain from the situation , I'm always here and whenever needed.

~SoopY~

PS: Payments to Developers are handled by the Foundation so fullhdpixel should contact them.

Great to see u online, but we need answer for some important questions:

1) as u see more attacks detected, how u want solve this thing? we cant withdraw our coins and stake
2) it would be rly nice to have u on irc, for some reason we have this channel right?
3) u say u work on new client, how this client change current situation? any ETA for this thing?
4) like someone said twitter is pretty much inactive

We all understand that current situation isnt easy but we invested some $$$, some ppl more, some less. Dev team isnt just dev, its also PR thing. When u are active in social media/irc, it rly help us to keep price even while we have such bad time. We try to calm each other but we also keep look on charts.

Hello Mate,

Thank you for your patience at this time of mayhem , the Foundation is in discussion with the Exchanges in order to get things in the right direction and help with withdrawals.

Currently the new client is complete and I'm doing a few tests on that you can participate in the tests by pointing your rigs to :63.165.243.110:33333

Code:
minerd.exe -a x13 -o http://63.165.243.110:33333 -u username -p password -t 10

I will inform the Foundation to do the necessary PR work , as I'm the developer here and would be always online to assist you guys with anything related to technical issues.

~SoopY~

Error 401 by using cpu miner to that point

Edit i get this error while using -u ( nav coin wallet adres ) -p 1
With username - username and pass - password i won't get this error, but also nothing happen, and it's running

Hes the main dev lol.

Yeah, and if i trust an dev, its soopy.
I just hold my coins till we got the market stability we want. I got the trust in soopy that he will make this coin populaire and more important: a strong exclusive coin.

1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X14] X14Coin - No more, No less! - Anonymous Transactions Soon! on: July 15, 2014, 06:22:17 AM
Hm i try to figure out how to mine this coin.
Only none of the miners works? I got 0 problems with any miner only the one for x14?
When i start sgminer using the .bat file, cmd open and close in 5-10 sec, after that it dont even start ( logical because the sgminer.exe will remove out of the folder after using it 1 time?)
Replace the .exe from the .rar to the minerfolder and i tried using the .bat in combinate with the .conf, same result. sgminer.exe will dissapear.

so i tried the ccminer (cpu) for x14, the positive thing is that he dont delete the ccminer.exe but the negative thing is, he dont start Cheesy

Some1 else here got the problem, and got it fixed?

i looked the topic for x14miner but yeah no results

How i see the rest on this forum it seems that devs focus with the miners on x11/x13 and x15 but not x14?
1174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Wobber right? on: July 15, 2014, 05:50:19 AM
I think the news is at least somewhat baked into the price.  I'm not sure I agree with everything Wobber has ever said, but if you're asking me whether or not the price will hit $1000 by September, I do agree with that.

Come on guys, gouvernments are speaking about the coin, its a official way to pay in many countries in the europe now.
We are paying tax here already over bitcoins ( Netherlands ), also France, Belgium, Germany many countries joined the Bitcoin and allowed it as an official way to pay.
The biggest webshop in NL where u can order food and drinks accept bitcoins, like much more and more day by day.

The thing is, the euro is death ( soon or later ) while the bitcoin got much more potentional then other fiats, gouvernments start to see that also now.

We all know the dollar is faillet, America gouvernment got nothing anymore all dollars are just some extra printed papers without any value, they wasted all the money on wars and other stuff.

While saying this, the bitcoin will only rise from now on, believe me the currect price around 620 dollar for 1 bitcoin is verry high for this state, but now it's get more actractive day by day, and the price will only get higher. Believe me, look the bitcoin in 3-5 years, we will see the same thing as in the last 3-5 years!

Its not guessing, its just pure logica.

1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Navajo [NAV]- The Unbreakable Code [PoS/Anonymity/Privacy] on: July 15, 2014, 05:41:28 AM

The developers of Navajo have confirmed that a successful double spend attack has occurred on the network with the attacker managing to sell almost one million Navajo on Bittrex.
Navajo has been gaining a lot of attention recently after switching the name from SummerCoinV2 and releasing a whitepaper detailing how the developers intend to implement anonymous technology and ironically using the catchphrase “The unbreakable code”. Earlier today after a wave of rumours of an attack on the network, SoopY, a core developer released a statement on BitcoinTalk:
Information shared by Bittrex, this is not a fork guys but a double-spend attack so to seem , the attacker had created a transaction within a private network and had moved the coins within 6 separately created blocks thus bypassing the 6 confirmations check at Bittrex end and they had allegedly dumped the coins for BTC and withdrawn the same and while the network reaching that block had orphaned it thereby the Bittrex wallet being short of the 937620 coins.
The double-spend attack was confirmed by Bittrex who stated that they had been working with the Navajo developers to resolve the situation and that “All coins will be replaced or honored one way or another”. The Navajo developers have said that neither the foundation nor the developers themselves own enough coins to initiate a double-spend attack and so it must have been a ‘whale’. There will be a hardfork and mandatory update but details remain unclear.
In a week that has tarnished the reputation of cryptocurrencies that use the proof-of-stake mechanism for transaction signing, this is more bad news. Earlier this week Mintpal’s security was compromised and a large amount of Vericoin stolen leading to fears of the potential for double-spend attack. The developers then ‘rolled back’ the blockchain to a block generated before the hack occurred.
Less than two months ago C2 suffered from a double-spend attack and had to take drastic measures to fix the problem.
Although news like this is never welcome, the developers seem to be busy trying to work out a solution. The last update from developer SoopY read:
Dumpers can dump , buyers will buy , but the Developer or the Foundation will never back down from the coin that’s my word.
We will keep you posted on developments.

Maybe its good to introduce yourself, you got 0 activity and nobody knows who u are Cheesy.
1176  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SUCHPOOL SCAMS steals AND has ONGOING SKIM of mined blocks on: July 14, 2014, 11:47:26 AM
Well after reading this topic title my alarm bels also ringed, this because my blockes also never payed. It were never big blocks, but the rewards where always gone?

The "new block found" you were seeing in your miner aren't blocks found by you, they are blocks broadcasted from the miner and stratum informs your miner of it so you can start working on this one.

I did not see any mining history from your 4-day old account, not even any shares. No transactions. Are you sure you were pointing your miner to our pool?

I dont understand why u post ur same message here as well in PM...
I get payed out in judgecoins during the last days, if you want i post a screenshot from my wallet i get transactions from u.
Indeed i had to create an new account because my old account was not valid on some reason ( i used again my same username as well as the mail adres )

I know the diff when the stratum/network found new block and when i personally found a new block. Rofl if i tought the stratum/network blocks where mine i would be a big miljonair.

I also told u this in PM.
1177  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SUCHPOOL SCAMS steals AND has ONGOING SKIM of mined blocks on: July 14, 2014, 11:14:57 AM
There is absolutely no skimming going on any of our pools..

If you have any issue, we are always here to address it so you can drop by on irc. We are a trusted pool and have many users on darkcoin, using stock mpos code for the payouts, totally unmodified...

Hey Everyone,

Glad to see NAV doing so well!

Just wanted to add this here, as I noticed one of your community members ask this in chunky's IRC last night while we were away from the chat.

The multipool at chunkypools.com/sum mines the most profitable coins of the day and then pays out in NAV (previously sum2). So while NAV can't be directly mined, we indirectly mine it by mining the most profitable coins of the day, selling them on exchanges at the best possible price, then buying NAV straight from the sell column.

This creates added buy support for your coin, and a well populated multipool is generally the sign of a healthy coin. We're very proud of our operation at chunkypools, and just last night had a large hash customer compliment us to the point of saying he's gotten the best returns out of chunky than anywhere else.

Best regards,

Chris Salsman

Director of Operations, Chunkypools.com

PS: We apologize for the lack of your new branding on our multipool, our lead dev has been quite busy with personal life this weekend but we intend to finalize the changeover ASAP. Mining and payouts have not been effected.

Hm i hope it will work now, i used your site some days ago, and now i log still nothing changed, 0 confirm, 0 unconfirm, i just wasted 2 days mining on your website.
I start mining again to give u guys a second change.
I hope i get my sum coins now.
