1161  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Improvement in quality posts on: September 21, 2023, 08:58:44 AM
I must say that our local board seems to have improved greatly in posting and also in numbers. Since we received our local board the Nigeria local board have been up and doing in all aspect of activities but are lacking behind in merit rewards. This has been the major challenge which makes is looks like efforts are not appreciated and morals are much down because of this. Members are not looking at it but are trying their very best to making sure this board remains active and lively with lots of quality posts, activities and rewards such as the monthly charts and rewards form @Cryptoprenuerbrainboss and @Igebotz, the best post amongst the junior ranks by @satoprincess and the merit intervention on local boards which @hugeblack  started and already. We pray our merit source application be granted unto us soonest so that much efforts of the Nigeria board would be appreciated accordingly. I know it is not easy but I believe we will get there with time. Let us all join hands to building our very own platform to a greater heights.

1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡⚡Knight.bet no.1 Online Casino!⚡⚡ on: September 21, 2023, 07:58:26 AM
It proves that his main purpose is just to post about his casino without any plan to communicate with others. Starting from how he created the ANN thread, how he acts in this forum (not communicative), it is already a sign and a warning for the community to stay away from this casino. The same thing (not getting answers) may happen in the casino when players experience a problem, a new casino promote the casino in this forum but have no professional representative, SKIP!

I was curios about it too because I see no  reasons why OP would just keep silent that way without reaching out to members here to hearing and responding to our inquest about their casino. As it it that first impression matters, OP has just revealed that to the platform to see for themselves  as to take caution when dealing with them. At this stage if such experience could take place tell me what will it look like when people starts join the casino platform and making complaints for possible solution and they would just ignore them all.It is such a bad way to start with. OP should come here and respond and anybody who has seen this attitude and goes ahead to deal are on their own.
1164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No matter the pressure don't release on: September 21, 2023, 07:33:56 AM
Many people have lost their assets as a result of this scenario of being under pressure to meet up with time and upon their realization, they already released the assets when they are yet to confirm payment and it will be too late for them to recover it back. I have had this experience before where I  was trying to  sell a coin on a p2p platform. The buyer did not pay on time and it was 4 minutes to deadline that was when the buyer chatted me up that he or she has  made payment meanwhile buyer presence shows online for over 35 minutes and this buyer has executed reasonable numbers of sales record based on the trade history I checked. So I was wondering if the buyer did it intentionally to scam me or a network issues from buyer end. I did not release the coin until I  received the alert 1 hour after transaction time elapsed. What made me more alert was the fact that buyer had not uploaded evidence of payment all these while mounting pressure on me to release my coin but I stood my ground not allowing the pressure to control me. Ever since that experience, I decided not to give in to pressure of releasing coin when I have not received a credit alert for my trade and I do make transfer first for confirmation before releasing my assets.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing your digital assets on: September 21, 2023, 07:00:00 AM
Securing your asset  should not be a problem for anybody who see it as very important to do. Aside you using secured wallets, there are other minor things that are very important and necessary that one needs to adhere to if you must be free of scammers and hackers because that is the only medium through which most of this hacks and scams occur. In other to be safe, you must avoid clicking links that you have no idea where it is coming from maybe through emails, social media, sms links, failing to make use of your browser in the sense that you do not type complete what you are searching for in your browser but using auto complete to finish it up. This makes your system vulnerable to attacks online. Avoid enabling much cookies and stop granting permissions to some apps and sites you have no idea abut to access your device.

Avoid connecting your wallet to web3 sites and if you must do that, create a new wallet for such purpose and after you must have done that make sure to revoke their access to your wallet and transfer away any coin or token you acquired through that site to another wallet.

Make your wallet security a priority.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: September 21, 2023, 06:21:45 AM

The guarantee of a monthly cash inflow gives us ease of mind. We can think clearly because we don't need to think about our monthly expenses. Saving a portion of our wages and investing them for long-term growth gives us confidence about our future, and we think of ourselves as cleavers and long-term visionaries. When things turn against them, they think of themselves as stupid; this is human nature.

Not to use your investment (in bitcoin) when emergencies arise is a strong statement but not a practical one. When people don't have money to cover emergency expenses, they tend to sell their assets. If you are investing in bitcoin as a retirement plan, then you should not sell it, but in times of emergency, your senses will tell you to sell it.

I would say if you are thinking for long-term and Also doing BTC accumulation its good idea. in case if it is me who is doing BTC accumulation i would never withdraw my BTC until i reach my planned goal. I think this time is very smart we also need to smart as we know this is the time where alot of people having good cash inflow by doing from different kinda online jobs and physical jobs as well.

they just need to prepare themselves  to overcome their emergency situation somehow So that they need not to withdraw their accumulated BTC in the form of funds as emergency situation.

The only thing that can resolve our emergency needs is money. As I have mentioned, it is easy to say that I won't touch my BTC holdings if any emergencies arise, but it is hard to do if you don't have any side income or any other source to assist you in resolving that issue. This happens to me many time. I tried my best not to sell part of my holding, but the situation forced me to do that.
Truly money can resolve our urgent needs but in some cases when money is not available, the available should go in for it or possibly take the place of the money to solve the problem. Most times things happen that no one bargained for but you will have no option but to respond accordingly. These experiences are sometimes among the reasons one needs to invest. Irrespective of the nature of the investment, for instance, bitcoin that you have direct access to when you are in urgent need that requires a financial commitment and you have no cash at hand and in your account but you have crypto assets. It is expected of you to sort yourself out.  That is good because when you have enough to sustain yourself and more, you invest the excess so as to serve you when you are in urgent need and the investment as the case may generate income as time goes by.

You got a good project OP but I am surprised and from what others have said and what I have seen some big casinos are missing from your best casino review. These casinos I saw on your website are  okay  but some are having pending cases to settle here. With respect to KYC and non KYC casinos as you have mentioned on your website would you mind listing them on your website separately? non KYC to be precised. Listing the non KYC casino  would aid members identify with them and also increases the chances of high traffic to your website for those wanting to see the casinos with  a no KYC policy.

Welcome OP. It will be nice you follow up accordingly as you have been advised by members here to upgrade your account to copper membership so you can be able to upload pictures of the out look of your casino here for members to have a first glance of it and how it looks like. I will call your attention to being active here because members really look into your activeness here as that is an impression of how you communicate with your clients. Being offline for too long does not tell good of you because there lots of pending questions here to be answered. If as a representative of your casino here you barely come online what do you think other members would see it as.

As you can see, there are just few engagements here because no one from your team is available to  get members here engaged hence it seems as if you are not serious with your casino business. Do well to be active or better still get the assistance of a representative to aid in replying and attending to members here because first impression matters on this platform if you must scale through.

Correct mate, as you have said confirmation from the casino is another good point because that would enable you be informed and aware of happenings and development so as not to be taken unawares. If you are confused of any mail sent to you, you have every right to call the casino attention to alerting them of the possibilities of the email been used to scam their clients so that they would be aware of the happenings and also alert all their registered clients to not fall for the scam mails they receive from the email. This would save people of the stress of being scammed and building trust with their casino services.

Scamming mostly happens through Email so if you think that what you received is too malicious, then try to do a deep research and check if it's from the legit site. Try not to click links if you aren't sure of it as scammers nowadays are smart enough to fool many users so we have to be careful and skeptical.
I've been receiving lots of malicious emails before but when I decided to block them all, I could say that I'm now safe from scam and malicious emails. It's better to be precautious than to be a risk taker.
The rate of Internet fraud is increasing day after day and it shows that, as day breaks, scammers also improve their methods of scamming people. Some scam casinos after they have been exposed to their users, they will reopen another scam site that looks legit and very different from their previous one saved, so we, as a gambler, whether a regular gambler or not, we should be very careful with the casinos we signed up for, so that our funds will be save and not diverted to an unknown account.
I noticed that email is the easiest way scammers get access to our accounts or systems, so let's be very vigilant.
Knowing that email can easily be faked, it is known to be the source of scam, hacks and other malicious intent. I agree that day by day, new method of scamming are being introduced to potential victims and some of them are really need a technical knowledge to understand and to detect it. There are hackers that are really skilled and they are the one who are keeps evolving once their scam method is exposed to the public that makes people aware. I wonder if they get a satisfaction feeling whenever they hacked someone or steal from them. Being a hacker is hard but being a potential victim is much more harder. We need to maintain our security and always be attentive on what we are doing online especially if we have something that has a value.

Once hackers notice their tactics are beginning to become exposed, they look for another means to perpetrate their evil acts accordingly so that they keep being active in their scam acts and people who have no idea about it keeps falling victim of their wicked act.
Emails are truly the medium through which majority of the hacks becomes effective. It is advisable to safeguard your email so not to get entangled in hackers circle.  Mind the link you click in your email box.
Information is key and power and that's why a gambler or someone who is always updated would be very difficult to scam, I mean to detect the simplest scamming tricks such as avoiding to click links in your email won't be any problem for such persons. But the latter is case without someone who is lacking such information because the reason why it always feels as if scammers have an upper hand is because they always keep to trend and always advance at every opportunity to meet with new scamming skills so we too should all endeavor to stay updated too.

When one is  informed and updated with developments and happenings around the system, it would be very difficult to fall prey of scams because they are on high alert and can detect scam mails and others too. The more you seek knowledge to learning more about what you have interest in the more opportunity you get to know more about it and be abreast in knowledge as it relates to what you are looking for. So if you must stay safe then you must seek for knowledge and be updated because it is an added advantage to your safety all round.

The best solution is just to ignore unknown emails coming from unknown senders or better still you delete those mails as you have nothing to do with them and block the senders from further repeating such act.
yes, ignoring it would be better, but for example if you use Gmail they usually filter out dangerous links but sometimes fraudsters can escape detection, therefore always confirm with casino service support whether the email is official or not, after all there is no harm to ask before clicking on those phishing links that ultimately harm yourself.

Sometimes people are lazy to ask before doing something when it is clear that there are many cases of phishing emails from several casinos, why should they feel confident to click on that link, when to ask it doesn't take long to go to their service support or their ANN thread on this forum if They are still actively interacting, don't make something easy difficult because you feel like you're too lazy to read and don't ask questions

As far as I know, the name 1xbet as mentioned on OP here is a flagged one and as such should not be taken seriously. 1xbet has lots of pending accusations and cases here to settle before their exit. OP should have been able to do research here by searching for the name before making such a post to know if they once existed here and to know their history so as not to meet resistance from members when making known the name of the casino. As it is now, it would be very difficult to convince anybody here to deal with OP for the fact that 1xbet is involved, and as a matter of fact, this is OP indirectly promoting a scam and may likely get tagged by other members for coming here to promoting a casino being accused of scamming members here. It is likely that OP might belong to the 1xbet team or if I am not mistaken an alt account of a well-established member.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 20, 2023, 06:13:31 AM
As for protection of personal information, you can not tell because a casino can start by telling you they are kyc free just to get traffic and members to deposit but as time goes on, they change their policy telling all members to undergo kyc which was not part of the initial. You will have no option than doing it because you have funds already there with them as that is the trick they use to get at members. One thing you should note is that once kyc is demanded, your privacy is no more guaranteed because anything can happen and they tell you they suffered hack which you can do nothing about.

The OP is referring to protecting personal information against hacker that impersonates casino representatives. This scam is popular via email notifications whenever hacker has an idea that you are playing on a specific casino while the victim post personal information such as email in public.

I received this kind of scam attempt because I accidentally use my personal email on one of the bounty campaigns here in the forum. Luckily the scammer that trying to hack use a casino that I don’t have an account which is why I easily detected it as scam.

You can easily detect such mails to be a scam or coming from a scammer when you see them in your inbox. How do you know they are scam; you did not register anything that links you to them, you have neither visited nor used their website before, you do not use that email for things of that nature, they convince you to click the link they sent to you by promising you juicy offer and enticing giveaway or bonuses that are not feasible.

These are the reasons why it is advisable to always use a separate email for all your online engagements so as not to mix things up for yourself. This would ease one the stress of trying to pick from where an email is sent from so one could be able to be careful in other not to fall victim of scams.
If you are really that bothered whenever you have recieved some emails on sites or services on which you didnt even register then better not to put yourself in stress and anxiety with those things which those are just simply scams which are trying out to phish you out or whatever scammy attempt that they would really be making. It is really just that there are people who are really that naive enough on trying out to believe and click those random links without even trying to think on how risky the thing that they had done. We know that phishing, malwares and viruses could really be that downloaded into your device which it might not really be that causing for some access on your accounts in gambling platform but also it would really be compromising your personal wallets as well.

This is why if you've been bothered with this, then you would really be finding yourself to have the solution on which it would really be that ideal that you do make a new email address when you do
tend to play on a site. Exploited emails or the ones you do input might really be leaked out somewhere and its not new. This is why you would really be getting random emails and stuffs
but its better not to mind and ignore most of the time.

Random mails  mostly come from phishing sites and as we all know, these mails are mostly sent by hackers to steal peoples information upon any attempt to click the link sent to ones mailbox. If one must play on casinos or otherwise, it is good one uses different mails for the exercise so as not to complicate things for themselves because they might forget themselves and click link thinking it is from one of the sites they had registered since it is obvious that they use one email for several sites and activities. Some times, there is data breach from most of these third party organisations  which puts data and information of clients at risk because of possible hack. In that case they get emails from that data base and start sending phishing links to the emails for  possible hack attempt.

I have had this experience whereby a particular email i used fora particular website  started receiving all sorts of spams and phishing links and it became obviously clear to me  that there have been a breach of data on that website and hackers must have done that or clients data have been old out. I sometimes blame the websites for keeping silent and not informing their clients to be aware of the data leakage or breach on their end. They just keep quiet over it and do as if they know not what has happened. If not that some people are wise to create separate mails for different activities, one can not be able to detect where the breach could have taken place.

The best solution is just to ignore unknown emails coming from unknown senders or better still you delete those mails as you have nothing to do with them and block the senders from further repeating such act.

Of a truth reputation matters when sourcing for a casino to deal with. A casino with track records should be able to have a good reputation and built trust for themselves. At least one should be able to do a research on their choice casinos before engaging with them. Doing this would give them more insights of what people are saying about that casino in particular. From trusted review sites, you can get reliable feedback of peoples remark about casinos and their activities from the past. Mostly old casinos can be trusted if they have good reviews because they have been in existence long enough compared to new casinos whilst some pay for fake reviews. So what I would likely advice any one sourcing for a casino is to check out review sites here which i believe are much reliable and trusted. Also, reviews on this platform on a casino can also guide one through choosing  casino to deal with.

As for protection of personal information, you can not tell because a casino can start by telling you they are kyc free just to get traffic and members to deposit but as time goes on, they change their policy telling all members to undergo kyc which was not part of the initial. 1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram launches crypto currency wallet. on: September 17, 2023, 07:10:49 PM
I was wondering how safe it would be hence me bringing it here for discussion. So far the telegram platform is very porous and scammers carry out their nefarious act there which makes it not too conducive for most discussions and now Crypto wallet is about to take shape their with one storing or saving his or her assets there. What are the possibility that one can securely safe their assets there without having any issues of scam or hack through telegram hack?
Telegram has become a gathering place for Crypto enthusiasts. Telegram with cryptocurrency is nothing new. However, the problem is Telegram's security. Currently Telegram security is very easy to infiltrate. When Telegram creates a cryptocurrency wallet, there will certainly be lots of hacking attempts.
Or it could be by creating a fake link to the Telegram wallet. I have tried downloading the TON app but I am still not comfortable with the UI of the app.
I chose not to invest in TON but will still put it on my watchlist.
Telegram security is another focus point of discussion. I was thinking if the telegram team could give this security aspect of their app the attention it requires because the rate at which scams, hack and other acts are carried out on the telegram platform is something else.
The news of telegram wallets would trigger more acts from hackers and that would call for more work on the telegram application itself to strengthen the security features so as to prevent hackers gaining access to owners wallet.

If this is not properly taken care of and the hacks becomes obvious I doubt if people would keep the telegram wallet or think of storing their assets on the telegram wallet as everybody considers the safety of their wallet as a priority.
1177  Economy / Services / Re: Telegram Stickers - Giffs Service on: September 16, 2023, 02:58:51 PM
Why creating a new thread when you already have an announcement thread for your services. Irrespective of the year it was created and how old the thread could be,you could have updated it with this new service of yours or better still you bump it up rather than creating multiple announcement thread for same purpose you could be tagged a scammer or spammer for doing this and nobody would look your services already I noticed from the old announcement thread you made available some newbie account vouching for your services which I think is a no no sign here. That alone shows how desperate you are and could scare away prospective clients from patronising your services.

Lastly, your stickers are way too much expensive than one could imagine. Do you not use escrow services for your business? As I think that is the only means I believe members here would want to deal for their own safety. Maybe you should have a look into it and put it into consideration.
1178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another day to take caution of sim swap attack on: September 15, 2023, 10:50:57 PM
I am still wondering this whole scenario of a thing. If a computer guru, the founder of ethereum blockchain could have his phone simcard swap and got his account hacked I was also wondering how the novice that knows nothing about tech could be going through without their knowledge of being hacked.
You don't need to wonder how it happened because sim swap is not new and the hacker had help from someone in the telecommunication company. As a tech expert and with the incessant cases of sim swap on the rise, I expected him to fortify his account with another layer of security. If he had added 2FA to his Twitter account, it would have made it impossible for the hacker to hijack the account and send the phishing link. Sadly, persons who fell for the click bait have to learn the hard way and newbies can also learn from this.

It all points towards my curiosity and making it pertinent that one must be careful and be able to protect their details safely so as to avoid hack or if per adventure any attempt is made, there would be a prompt from the end of the account owner but what baffles me on is that the victim is a computer guru himself and a founder of the Second largest blockchain itself. He is the list person I would hear about suffering hack from scammers when in the reality he himself knows more about the industry and how it works.

I think OP did well to have come up with this. This shows that OP is really focused on learning more about Bitcoin and having the right knowledge of what he in or she is going into.  These are the signs that shows how beginners are eagerly ready to learn new things when ever they encounter such. Although there are threads that possibly have this content which OP did not really do search for here but I believe OP was doing as a newbie and for other newbies to see as well because the time and commitment OP must have devoted in doing this is not what to he waits when there are similar posts of this nature on this platform. Well what OP did is one of the attributes of newbies so I would commend OP for giving it a try putting the this thread up.
I think if there is will power to learn then results will definitely come out but if you are reluctant and always feeling like there is a short cut to everything you do in life then you would probably not excel even when it comes to the forum. For OP to what compiled such then he must be really aspiring learn.

This thread is actually very useful because most person here and not only newbie don't actually know the full details of some of the words given .

Making out time alone to do research and making this thread alone is enough to tell us the truth that OP is really trying his or her best to present something meaningful to the community to see because not every newbie would have  that time to want to engage themselves with such a task as this nature. OP has done well and should be applauded for this gesture of putting up with this task.

OP indeed you have just revealed some big secrets here and I wish our local board members would see, read and take this serious. So far you have listed some key points that really affects newbies here and as a matter of fact, these points you have listed are what is standing as a big challenge to members of our local board because they have no knowledge about them.

The key major challenges faced by newbies are plagiarism and exchange of gas between wallets which is a major error and should not be in the first place. Newbies are not the only ones facing this but old members here as well because they fail to understand the fact that could nail them if it is being discovered that there are linking wallets from different accounts. It is obvious that people still do not understand that copying online without reference is more amount to plagiarism and that is intellectual theft crime committed so it is obvious when caught, the culprit would face sanctions. So you can see ignorance is not an excuse in the eyes of the law. Who ever keeps lose
