1161  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make una dey careful when trading on: November 25, 2023, 05:30:33 PM
Why will an experience trader that has been trading p2p before now agree to do a p2p trade out the exchanger she has been using to make successful trades. Never should you agree to trade p2p outside with anybody you don't know despite how much higher the price they will be offering.

Scammers are fond of using promises that are too good to be true is luring gullible newbies, never get greedy always use recommended and reputable channels for p2p. If anyone chat you on binance to trade outside binance never agree to it, you will be scammed if you do and you won't have who to report to.
That's same greed of humans am taking about and this just like a disadvantage in our system that only few can override this and even if he is veteran and experience trader, he was still naive to agree to complete a trade outside the trading exchange which is a very poor decision for him and whatever consequences that he is facing is all tired to the stupid decision he took.

Before now alot of people were scammed on binance exchange in particular and now there is always a new flash warning as you are about to trade your coins to be very careful and not get involved in anything that can risk your coins.
1162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you avoid scammers? on: November 25, 2023, 05:22:38 PM
There is no free money without doing anything even giveaways and airdrop still need an effort. and there is no way you can rich in single night at least that I know. and never send money to anyone if you have doubt in it maybe the simple version is like that
There is always a saying about free things that it can kill fatser than the one you worked and one thing about human is that they are always attracted to free things because they feel it's a chance to get the best of best of system which they don't know it's the opposite because scammers used the disadvantage of human greed to track those that are vulnerable to this taught. Only a few percent of the human race can actually get hold of their and this same greed is behind why people get stuck in the gaming and gambling industry as core addict.
1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Did You Learn? on: November 25, 2023, 05:11:18 PM
OP you mean how people learned to trade and buy cryptocurrency? If your question is about this than I can tell there is so many ways in the internet. Here is this forum there are articles where you can learn so much and you can always watch videos related to cryptocurrency and use that knowledge to trade cryptocurrency.

Keep in mind that knowledge has no limit so don't limit yourself while it comes to learning.
When I first learned trading I mostly took knowledge from videos. But I started trading with advice from my older brothers around me who knew about trading. I had a lot of difficulty in trading at first. I lost a lot of money while trading without understanding.  But they seem very sad to me now. If I had traded with a little understanding then, maybe I would not have lost those money now. But again, I also think that I have learned good trading by losing money. So I think that learning something without doing anything wrong.  doesn't go
Well your case isn't that bad, well for me I believe in learning and practical and at first I got interested in trading through many influencer that claim it's a very easy act but I found out it's not the hard way as my curiosity led me to actually get an Olympic trade account of which I was given a bonus to try out my skills and on my demo account I actually traded successful and for me I thought it's easy and after some weeks I decided to go real and to my shock I was surprised and lost some tangible funds and on that moment I knew trading isn't really child's play.
1164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Massive influx of scammers activity during the bull season. on: November 25, 2023, 05:03:38 PM
Just recently I got a text from a random number telling all the advantages of the high increase if Bitcoin and siad in the text that all I need was to click the link and they have great opportunity installed for me and we all know curiosity can cause, this can lead to me to different places and even put my HODLing at risking because clicking of random link is never advisable if you are crypto holder and knowing this, I carefully ignored but this action might have been different for a crypto space novice.

1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 25, 2023, 04:56:33 PM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
In gambling, there is no ricks even if you take a large amount for those who are professional and experienced users. Even though they carry a large amount of budget, they adopt a special strategy in gambling so that their wallet never reaches zero balance. But those who are new gamblers, if they adopt special tips and if they take to a large amount, they will not be able to take any risk management, so their balance will become zero at some point. In this case, the small users must be given some pre-planned gambling conditions and resolutions if they follow them, the risk can be reduced to some extent.
Newbies have a bit more risk because they don't know much about gambling, get greedy and place big bets without understanding to win more. Pre-planning is good, and self-exclusion is a responsible gambling measure that allows players to voluntarily exclude themselves from online casino gambling for a specified period of time if the risk is high. It can be helpful for players who feel they have lost control of their gambling habits and want to take a break before their balance is depleted. Self-exclusion can be temporary or permanent and can be done through the online casino's responsible gambling department or customer support.
I believe gambling is something that should be experience because no matter how hard I have tried to advice someone to stay low on gambling due to the risk and addiction that it's involved, it always feel as if am just wasting my time and the thing is just frustrating so I let them do whatever they feel is good because the best teacher to anything is actually the experience you have gotten from gambling and so many people all learn this the hard way.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 25, 2023, 04:47:45 PM
Man City and Liverpool ended up with a draw. The game wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Man City's performance was a bit disappointing. It seemed like they didn't really want to score a second goal after getting the first one. I think they're missing some spark and identity because Kevin De Bruyne is not playing.
I was just surprised that Manchester City couldn't score another goal in the match, they wasted a lot of opportunities that they could have scored. Everyone thought the match would be kind of interesting, but Manchester City dominated the match, they played well, but the most embarrassing part is that they couldn't score more than 1 goal in the match. Seriously, Kevin De Bruyne's absence is really affecting Manchester City. I am sure if Kevin De Bruyne was present in today's match, they would have scored more than a goal in today's match.
Why are you surprised that's football for you, sometimes the games favours you and sometimes no matter how hard you try , it doesn't just add up and no matter how many the chances keep coming the final goal doesn't just seem to come and that was the case with city in this game. Indeed Manchester city have really missed his presence and that's why I always beg to argue that Kevin de byrune is the most important player in the Manchester city squad, I mean the man is a master mind in the midfield and he is just like  the prime time Barcelona's XAVI and Andreas INIESTA.

1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: November 24, 2023, 04:39:48 PM

So let everyone and Companies should stay clear from corruption and money laundering because these are the things the government is using to attack the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
That's a notion which I think can't be corrected because people are found of using their coins as the way deem fit and you know the diversification is also a firm attributes of the human nature. Human being are of many and different characters and illegal activity is also an inbuilt for some persons. And their is also a clause which covers everything in this world both having good and also bad features so using crypto for fraudulent activity is not something we can see stopping any time soon and that shouldn't be used as any excuse as the fiat is also used for money laundering and so many other evil things.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: November 24, 2023, 04:22:50 PM
I'm in crypo world since 2021 only and since then I've noticed a lot of folks talking about Tether as being a potentional scam that may crash the markets one day and I've watched videos from crypto detectives/scam busters such as Coffeezilla and he makes some pretty fair points about Tether being the cryptos biggest scam.

I wanna personally know from people who have been in crypto for little longer than I have and maybe know a few things more or could share their personal view on Tether.

My side question to this would also be: Which type of stablecoin do You find the most credible in the Crypto space?

Thanks in advance for more experienced folks for sharing their insight!

My personal view is that there are 2 stable coins that are the most credible and I personally use both, namely Tether (USDT) and USDC, especially USDT. For example, I want to deposit to an exchange using P2P, I do it with Tether USDT, what else is Tether top 3 coinmarketcap based on Coingecko and CoinMarketCap from I used to use Tether, it's still safe, it depends on which stable coin you want to use, but do your own research
I think USDT is a stable currency and trustworthy. I trade using this USDT most of the time, and also use USDT in p2p transactions. Yes what you said is correct I think these two are the most used and trusted among stablecoins.
Trust me, USDT is a stable coin that has much reputation and value in my country here as it's used for almost everything and when I do gamble on online casino, USDT is the preferable coins as it much stable than Bitcoin and other altcoins in the market. USDT is a coin that have gain popularity because of the big advantage it always get over my local currency as most person also see it as a nice investment coins to get some extra profits as the usdt always beat our currency as a fast rate due to devaluation of ours.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: November 24, 2023, 04:10:16 PM
The bounty, unfortunately, is not what it used to be, but in general there are prospects for returning to the previous level of earnings. There is no need to lose hope, you need to continue to participate in all projects. The potential for rewards within the cryptocurrency space remains dynamic and often depends on the specific participation levels, projects, and market trends.
You are not complaining about this as many of friends who were also early partaker of some bounty project have aslo been saying something like this and it made me wonder that people must have been earning in fortune for them to still be an interest on these projects because with what some bounty project have become these days, it made wonder why people still get involved in these things because some of the project are a total waist of time as they are all valueless at the end.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing a money on: November 24, 2023, 04:05:43 PM
It's better for you to invest in several potential altcoins with as much money as you have. By investing in several coins, such as BNB, ETH, BTC, you can get the profits that you collect in the several coins you invest. But you have to buy it when the price is low and sell when the price is high.
That's the issue there, buying when the coins is low is something that people who are naive on crypto space always shy away from especially when they are not certain of the future of coins and you won't blame anyone to think so because buying several can be dangerous as aslo it can be beneficial but the risk involved is too high and most people tend to avoid such crazy risk. I remembered when my friend actually bought some altcoins, he bought about four different coins at all different price and lately he was complaining that most of the coins have lost it value making him to be at a lost.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in altcoins is a hedge over Bitcoin how true is this? on: November 24, 2023, 03:58:44 PM
Investing in altcoins is a hedge over Bitcoin is not entirely correct. Altcoin prices often have a correlation with Bitcoin prices. If the price of Bitcoin goes down, altcoins also tend to experience a decrease in price. Most of the altcoins are still highly dependent on Bitcoin price movements because Bitcoin is still the dominant cryptocurrency with strong market influence. If Bitcoin suffers a significant decline, altcoins can also be affected by negative market sentiment.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and it remains the pacesetter for every crypto coin today,  this is an undisputable fact in the crypto space.  Altcoins are looking to take the advantage of the coming bitcoin ATH and bull run, to also increase their assets with more investors that will be looking for alternative coins to invest and increase their profits. Without bitcoin, I doubt that we can have any significant altcoin bull run, because none can compere to the influence of bitcoin in the crypto market.

Altcoins remain alternatives to bitcoin, and for now bitcoin still dictates the bull and bear runs, for cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin is still more preferable and everyone in the crypto space is well aware of this and that's why most long term investor that consider buying Bitcoin like also considering altcoins but they only do this only in a period like this when the bull is somehow getting close because most altcoin tend to boost very fast which for these investors is still worth trying as they can edge ofd some profits in short time with their real investment still intact with the supreme coin@bitcoin.
1173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unnecessarily quoting by members of the forum. on: November 23, 2023, 03:53:06 PM
Most likely they are mobile users who are too lazy to edit the part they want to bring into the discussion,
I disagree that mobile users make up the majority of pyramid posts because, as someone who uses a phone for posting, I too am aware that pyramid posting is not ideal and I don't quote every single thread that someone posts. Mobile users who know how to quote properly are not lazy to trim their quotes.

I am not saying most mobile users are practicing this pyramid quoting style, but those who do are mostly mobile users and they feel lazy to edit the content and just go one and continue to edit the whole. Even I do use mobile for bitcointalk and sometimes I have to comment on something, when I have to I will try to edit as much as possible or just clear the whole and stay on topic or if I want to respond to the previous ones reply I just use ^ kind of symbol and like that.
The places where I have seen much of this type of posting would be the gambling discussion thread, especially very popular ones like the premier league thread and so many other football discussion thread. Well I don't know if you can term this to mostly mobile users as I know when it comes to laziness even the users that are using PC and desktop can also be lazy as this is one of the most common trait among human beings.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: November 23, 2023, 03:46:02 PM
If you have the privilege to hodl then take advantage in this as your investment in bitcoin is to give you profits which can serves as your earnings means, then don't hesitate to grab in this opportunity regardless of what may be your challenges because bullrun will always come after Halving, also the value of bitcoin remains ever increasing and this is part of the reason why some have chosen bitcoin over any other forms of assets investment because it's relatively reliable.

If you are not privilege then I think you make out the opportunity for yourself because Bitcoin investment is an opportunity that everyone must not fail to miss especially now that you are aware of it, if you are not aware then I would have taught that atleast you weren't aware but if you know and preach out this taught and then fail to make out to achieve with this chance then it would be really disappointing, because after the whole bull season has past the only thing you might saying is just regretful feelings.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bnb after next 5years on: November 23, 2023, 03:39:10 PM
Few years ago, didn’t though that bnb could reach such milestone as it is 3rd most invested altcoin in crypto world. But most of exchange tokens are fall down for being useless (only use for discounting exchange fee) as well as after exchange get hacked. So what do you think about bnb in next 5years?
Is it really worth for long investment?  Will it increase like ether or become dump like others exchange coins?

I am sure that BNB will remain the best investment for the long term, because BNB has a very good project, popular and widely used by many people (exchange and blockchain), although maybe BNB is not in the top 5 on coinmarketcap anymore, but I am still confident that the price of BNB will continue to increase and make a new ATH price every time Bitcoin makes a new ATH price, therefore I still recommend and advise you to invest in BNB for the long term, because you will definitely get a lot of profit from investing in BNB.
With the recent propaganda that happened with binance and CZ, I would like to argue about the future of the BNB coins although I would say BNB has always been my choice when it comes to paying for so many things online but the purpose of saving I won't really count it a choice I would prefer over the USDT and that's because of the rate at which my country currency devalues so fast against the USD, over the few months if I had held some USDT I would have gotten some profits from it, at least double of the money I would have used For the investment.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: November 23, 2023, 03:31:13 PM
You wouldn't believe that if I say most of altcoin pumps instantaneously because they follow the trend of bitcoin, so btc pumps, those alt trader will be in hurry to pump as well but that only limited to some certain altcoin with good fundamental.
the good altcoin are always the one that pumps so always watch them out.
I think I will believe this as all altcoins tend to follow the pump of Bitcoin and we have confirmed this from the little time I have seen Bitcoin started pumping. The previous bull season has made it clear that only Bitcoin isn't the possible way of earning some income as some altcoins also pump massively but the only difference is that as they pump it's same way they also dump. This issue is why cry out in period when everyone is supposed to be smiling some just make mistake and buy the wrong coins.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: November 23, 2023, 03:04:14 PM
Are you still just starting out in this trade, mate.  You have chosen the right investment by buying BTC.  If you still feel that you haven't made a profit, then continue to hold the BTC holdings that you millet until you make a profit

I would like to clear you that an investment in Bitcoin will only yield profit when you are patient for it to work it way to it and I feel now is the perfect time to actually buy if you want to make some profits when the bull season comes because the price of Bitcoin is very friendly now to buy although there are some altcoins that can also give you huge profits during this period but they are very risky but if you are planned on short term operations then you can actually get something out of your investment in these altcoins.
1178  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Multiple accounts (newbie) on: November 23, 2023, 02:54:43 PM
I think that's would be called ban evasion but I don't see this rarely happen because the person that have being ban would try to do everything to try and cheat the system and since their is no special system deviced for this kind of case it would be difficult for the ban person to be caught but this can be possible somehow with how the poster behave in relation to his old account and the new one because some persons are just the same with how they posts.
The thing is that the forum can make use of tools that can recognize and link ban evaders to their previous accounts. This can be done with some tools that can know the exact device and the IP address used and be used to link the accounts together. But the forum is doing nothing about it just as you said. This is just one of the things which this forum only take lightly which is good like that, unless another user is able to link the accounts and report it for ban evasion.
Hmmm, I see your point but I think this particular solution can also be manuover by someone who is desperately trying to evade his ban. I think you should be familiar with some tools also in the internet to actually bypass the identification of IP address used for browsing, tools like VPN apps can actually work very well for this kind of security as it can change your location in an instance.
1179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I encrypt a link inside a text before posting? on: November 23, 2023, 02:36:51 PM
There's this challenge I'm having when it comes to posting a link inside a text on the forum, what I mean is that, I have seen people dropping links I there threads and comment in this Fillippones thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5412657.0 they kind of encript the link inside the text and what you see is only the text that could be the title of there post of replies, i wanted to do this but I have tried it severally but couldn't. I would appreciate if someone can help out with this or at least drop a useful link that can guide me on how to go about this.
You have gotten the illustration already so I think it's best now you actually lock this thread to avoid more similar and out of points answer to this particular question. I think you should also try out the superbot notifier so that you would get notified whenever someone quotes or mentioned you to keep track of your discussion.
1180  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Multiple accounts (newbie) on: November 23, 2023, 02:23:57 PM
If you have two accounts and one of the two accounts is banned, that means the second account will be banned if known. Also if your account has been banned and you open another account and be posting (than on meta about ban appeal or so), your account will be banned again
