1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 09, 2019, 12:56:01 PM
The protest continues. I believe it's time for Hong Kong Bitcoiners to join the crowd, and make their own banners, and chant, "Buy Bitcoin, and HODL". Hahaha.

https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2019-09-08/hong-kong-protests-whole-system-rotten

Quote

HONG KONG —  It took Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam 13 weeks to withdraw the extradition bill that sparked the city’s summer of unrest. But her announcement failed to stop the protests for even one night.
Demonstrators have continued to rally, march, clash with police and, on Sunday, wave American flags while singing the U.S. national anthem in an appeal for help from Washington.

“Resist Beijing, liberate Hong Kong! Sanction China, now or never! Pray for U.S., pray for us!” chanted tens of thousands of protesters who marched to the U.S. Consulate on Sunday afternoon in a call for Congress to pass legislation that would strengthen U.S. support for democratization and human rights in Hong Kong.

Looks very close to BREXIT.  Grin

They already banned BTC in the past. Don't you think Its going to raise an alarm to the government and will cause the crash again if they once again bann?

1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex coin, why not? on: September 07, 2019, 05:59:07 PM
If we compare the market shares that Bittrex and Binance occupied in 2017 and now it is obvious that Bittrex chose the wrong strategy. In order for the coin to be interesting to the community, you need to build related infrastructure around it.

They are gradually taking some actions to compete in the market like the Bitsdaq as their partner.  The changes could put them back in the competition once they can implement  it. I think if bitsdaq will have its success, bittrex will also use its native coin for the bittrex transaction fee like BNB. It wouldn't take a big promotions to make it work for bittrex they are already popular from old users.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My opinion about dumps caused by bounty participants. on: September 06, 2019, 03:38:47 PM

Its not just the bounty hunters, they are even the last to dump because the team distributed the bounty tokens after 3 months or 3 months after the coin is listed to an exchange. Bear in mind that investors does get some 20-30% discounts as they are early investors of the project. This discounts alone are already profit to them when they dump the first day in the market. They can also buy back after 3 motnhs using the profit they got while the price dips to -80%.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Will be much better on: September 06, 2019, 03:21:31 PM

BTC is getting stable above $10k so it must have a good effect to altcoins though it may not really go up substantially, I think altcoins will also be stable. The altcoin holders will not begin to feel the fomo or at least the dilemma whether they will hold or sell for BTC. BTC keeps rising, I really think we are almost there and that BAKKT and regulations are coming.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government-issued cryptocurrencies...Are they the Future? on: September 05, 2019, 06:30:02 PM

We are moving forward to adoption and if governments are indeed going to release digital currencies, its going to help to fast track the adoption. Digital Yuan is very much of a promising, I would really be looking into the future whether we replace the names of the people in our fiat bills probably satoshi.  Grin

I think they are just a phase.

Government-issued cryptocurrencies are no way to go. Maybe a way for the government to get some quick cash but nothing else.

If Venezuela are doing it, there is no stopping a country form doing it to radically change things for the better.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 05, 2019, 06:20:10 PM
Are there Bitcoiners in Hong Kong? How is the situation over there? I believe it should be Bitcoin's time, and help protesters in collecting donations, and help move value in Bitcoin.
I was not aware of the Hong Kong situation until i see this thread, hope it is regarding the extradition bill and i was dumbfound when i saw that 5 people are dead during these protest. I am yet to read the extend of these protest and the way in which the government is dealing these protesters by silencing everyone with brute force rather than sorting the root issues they have at hands.

So basically what is happening is that the protestors are trying to use any alternative to government backed organizations and technologies to boycott their government and this is what Bitcoin is meant to be. <An alternative payment option, when the first option fail for some reason.>  Wink
It is really great to see people trying to overcome any government regulation with the help of alternative payment methods but what if the government put a temporary ban on its usage until everything is calm. The way in which they have dealt these protest makes me wonder that the government will do everything in their power to stop any protest even banning alternative payments methods to fund any movements.

Economically speaking, Hong Kong is doomed anyway. When these demonstrations would settle, they would have a stricter policy on payments and China would make them realize who's the boss there. With no Chinese tourists and Chinese business, Hong Kong would be nothing. If China could economically control the politics of Taiwan, a far away political land, they'd punish every Hong Kong activist and helpers unless they leave the country.

True. Hongkongers should be grateful China shows respect when they could just cut the lines and force their power over Hongkong. If it weren't for the one country two system agreement, these protest could have ended in just a day.

The people in China has much respect to their government that they look at it as their father and do as what their father says. Technically Hongkong is part of China whether they like it or not China will take over Hongkong sooner but this protest has been prolonged too much that I think is funded to weaken China's economy.

1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Minexcoin | Minexpay on: September 05, 2019, 05:33:00 PM
Never thought that Minexcoin will end like this after such a tremendous beginning. I am here from the start and have seen this euphoria on ATH.

Still holding my full (actually worthless) bag of MNX from the bounty. I was so stupid that I haven't sold on ATH  Cheesy. I am sure Boris did   Wink.

if you  just have bounty coins be lucky to not have sold them to anybody else. because you would be part of the scam if you did.

Bounty hunters of the price were very lucky since the first release of the coin in the market, it pumped up to more than $50. I was envious about those who joined the campaign during that time, if I got just about 500MNX, I probably sold all for less than $10. I did bought MNX after it settle down and it was just few to try earning thru their bank. Now I'm regretting it.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 04, 2019, 04:55:26 PM

Hongkong may find help thru BTC to fund the fight over this law they are trying to revoke. It would make sense for a crazy rich Hongkoners to also put their money into crypto.  Grin

I'm not sure in what way bitcoin is gonna help them succeed in the protest, there were more slogans and posters raised relating cryptocurrency during the time of protest. Finally I would respect and salute the people of Hong Kong who have been strong taking the protest for such a long term and never leaves the field at any instance to get their freedom.

In 2047 when finally Hongkong will be under the law of mainland China, I would really expect a resistance over it and will have the revolution again. Hope it won't start a war.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Swipe -SXP- [ERC20/POW] on: September 04, 2019, 03:44:56 PM
Why only now did you create an ANN thread?
When SwipeCrypto they are already in the exchange, I then look up to google to find out more of its information and sees a page in coingecko about SWIPE (SXP) which that time its 0.24$.

Always remind you investors the difference between both.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Adoption Rate keeps getting better on: September 03, 2019, 05:23:29 PM

10 years of slow pace but the crypto adoption gets exciting every time when an unexpected country adopts the technology. Brazil is known for BTC adoption though but there are several country that had gradually made it like Venezuela which is also in South America.

The adoption of cryptocurrency has already taken place in several countries in the world, although there are obstacles in terms of adopting the crypto itself, one of the countries whose economy and politics is unstable they have shifted to the crypto world rather than property to safeguard their assets in the future, parties authorities also fully understand that cryptocurrency is a good future

Brazil is a developing country, I think developing countries must dare to take popular policies like Brazil by using Cielo in adopting cryptocurrency, developing countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan and other countries, can follow Brazil's footsteps, because if developing countries adopt cryptocurrency, then the pattern world financial movements will change due to the effect of cryptocurrency

Pakistan might just have the same stance with India. Sure there are users hoping BTC will be adopted to these countries but I think the neighboring countries must adopt first.
1172  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advice needed on which exchange to use to buy Bitcoin on: September 03, 2019, 04:52:56 PM
Avoid Poloniex and Coinbase.
If you're in Europe, I recommend bitcoin.de or Kraken.

Polo use to be the most popular for the traders, they slow down since 2016. I find it hard to use though for every time I shift to my laptop to my desktop, I have to again authenticate my login and  doing it means sending email to polo. I didn't know they now  accept bank wire transfers, must be time to go there again. I'm sure it doesn't matter wherever we are if we use creditcards.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: KakaoTalk to integrate a cryptocurrency wallet on app on: September 03, 2019, 04:13:51 PM
This is basically same as the libra currency facebook is trying to make right? Like they are after helping people move libra from whatsapp that will make sure everyone sends each other money easily via just messages from whatsapp, which would make transactions globally a whole different leave of ease. Kakaotalk has done something like that already and I never heard about it which makes you question, how big is facebook?

Like we know its bigger than kakaotalk for sure but how bigger exactly? I have never heard of kakaotalk and we all heard of facebook so we know its huge but will the difference be enough to say "nobody knows what libra is and only few crypto nuts use it" or "everyone realized libra is amazing and now worldwide everyone uses that to send each other money". If this is any indicator I would say listing your ICO on an exchange has always caused the price to drop at first, maybe they should have created a stablecoin like libra.

Must be what facebook had in mind too to make use of Libra thru their apps. Facebook is so big that the whole world can fit into it. Only those Chinese aren't there but they already have Kakaotalk which is now in the exchange.  Kakaotalk is very popular to the Chinese and to some countries in Asia. Its how we can make transactions across platforms that will matter when Libra will be launched.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 [ANN] Minter. The Internet of Money (TON & Libra will be integrated) on: September 02, 2019, 02:54:03 PM
Cool project there. The first that I know integrated to the newly released TON. The documentation you made on the first page of the ANN was readily arranged, easy for anyone to look up for the information. Good job there. I probably will join the bounty program if there were article campaign and then declare my candidacy to the MN.

1176  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to make an AdWords-style website. on: August 31, 2019, 07:57:01 PM
So, I need something that can help me fluctuate those values in BTC as well (maybe we'll peg it to USD for better results) where everything will be transparent and where cost of clicks and impressions will be described openly. I'm open to more suggestions as to what should I exactly look for in order to start it from scratch but make it reach to the heights of success?

Isn't it possible to just pull the data from adwords as well?   The price per click and impression are base on the type of niche so your AI will know how many satoshis to send if it determines the price in USD. Not sure if you can start from scratch with this project but I think there are opensource scripts to start with.

I have worked with several adnetworks before so you should know that its a constant battle to the crook publishers and advertisers.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN]🔥 RachelX Token – The Revolution Of The Erotic Industry On Blockchain 🔥 on: August 31, 2019, 05:30:36 PM
the project has already gained the fame that is necessary for the development of their business in the digital space. For me, the token is needed for quick profit, and I think that this is consistent with the development of the platform.

I don't see it gaining popularity though it would be a good industry to exploit when it comes to VR and blockchain. There are certain group which are particularly into cryptocurrency and adult in the blackhatworld forum and in the GFY forum which I believe will be a good audience to pitch this project but those people are mostly not in the small exchanges where they do an IEO. Convincing them to register to exchanges which asks for KYC would be hard.
For such participants, the project offered the first stage of sale for Family and Friends. It is likely that some of them were able to join the purchase of tokens.

Great! For a company that has 35 years of experience I guess they already a have a big family and in the crowd who stays in one club. Xbiz community must be one in their mind. They do have one channel to go, though they compete each other they are just in one industry to which they share new trends.  Wish good luck to the project. I really would like to see how the devices work and entertaining it would be to pleasure someone.
1178  Economy / Economics / Re: The New World Order with Crypto and Blockchain Technology on: August 30, 2019, 04:17:03 PM

Looks a lot scarier than the current system today. If all information like driver's license, ownership and certificates of birth and other services within the global Blockchain system, this system can easily destroy a life like the movie Changing Lanes. If this blockchain is going to be adopted widely, do you think we are nailing ourselves to our coffin?
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties keeps getting worse on: August 30, 2019, 03:21:37 PM

Besides the team being scam form the start. There are also teams who wants to trick the bounty hunters, without the good faith to pay for the marketing promotions done by bounty hunters. They pay the tokens but will subject users to KYC even when they said there will be no KYC before the campaign started. 2019 is the worse year for a newbie to start a crypto career.
