how many months weeks till the next eth hack

If eth were launched as a fair system without a 100% premine i would actually take it seriously. Maybe in the future we will see smart contracts on bitcoin and litecoin who knows.

Not sure if there is much of a difference anymore. The people at the top are rich/will be rich while the peasants at the bottom put up with the fact that 90% of the marketcap belongs to the upper eth class. Not to mention a certain dictator who wants to roll back the blockchain which goes against everything the blockchain stands for - satoshi would be hanging his head in shame. To top it all proof of stake will make things even worse due to the millions of coins the devs hold. In short ether has been built by the devs for the devs, even if it fails they will be rich and not give a shit.

Crypto in general is risky, besides i hold plenty of other coins. I will be focusing more on LTC. If i lose my money so be it.

Litecoin is a nice long term investment. 60% gain in 6 months is not bad.

Back at the start of this year i was unsure of litecoins future but with this eth fiasco and more scams being launched everyday i am sure now that litecoin is bitcoins successor. People will laugh now but by the end of this year i can guarantee they will be crying. Litecoin was launched in october of 2011 by coblee (Charlee lee an ex google software engineer) and was launched fairly, no premine, no ICO/IPO, no absurd promises and no greed. Just a vision to create a crypto as a true alternative to bitcoin. Litecoin grew naturally over the years, it took 9 months to grow from $0 to $0.05 and another 12 months to go to $2.50. Then 5 months later it went from $2.50 to $48. Many early adopters became rich overnight. No IPO/ICO and no hype just vision and humble progress.

Back at the start of this year litecoin was $3.20, now it is around $5.30. That is a $2.10 gain per coin in just 6 months time. Marketcap at start of year was around 145 million now it is 260 million. Litecoin is by no doubt growing only those with myopic vision would question it. People always say that litecoin has no development but why fix something that is not broken? Litecoin does its job as an alternative currency perfectly - it just works.

To get to the main point of this post i will be buying $300 of litecoin every week from now on, that is around 30% of my weekly pay. I encourage others who also think that litecoin is going to rise to do the same. I might revisit this thread someday as a millionaire or as someone who lost thousands of dollars. I think it will be the former.

Eth investers are noobs and believe everything that snake oil charmer tells them. Eth is run more like a corrupt business than a cryptocurrency, imagine if satoshi premined 50% of all bitcoins. Nobody (intelligent) would touch that shit!

Eth is a scam with a artificial marketcap. Out of the 80 million or so coins in circulation 60 million are premined by pre-sale buyers and 12 million were premined by the eth devs. That mean 72 million or 90% of ethers coins are premined. This gets even worse when proof of stake kicks in because it means the network will pretty much be a dictatorship run by premined coins.

Eth has only one purpose - enrich the early adopters and the devs. Once all this boils over vitalik and his gang will be rich and all their supporters will be burned and will probably leave crypto for good. Some of them might come to their senses and buy bitcoins and litecoins but most people in eth are going to leave crypto for good with a sour taste in their mouth.

I congratulate the "hacker" for "stealing" the coins as he found a flaw and took the coins by finding a loophole in the code. The hacker should keep his coins and dump to teach the eth regime a lesson in overbragging and being cancer to the crypto community at large.

Disclaimer: I have stayed away from eth from day one and will never use their platform even if it reachs $100 a coin. For smart contracts i think rootstock or something built on top of litecoin is a better option.

IPO/ICO coins are scam. Only invest in coins which are launched fairly.

What that fork that lasted for a couple of hours then was fixed? That was due to underlying errors in the code not due to code exploits like with ether. Besides satoshi never ordered exchanges to stop trading.

well since eth was a arrogant prick all along i say they deserved it. "Ether will overtake bitcoin" this was spammed for months on this forum and now this hack has happened eth shills are silent. In my opinion anything more than $1 per eth is over priced.

I call on people to boycott all coins launched via IPO/ICO. They are all shit and are destined to die. There have been so many IPO/ICO scams it really is not funny anymore, people get burned over and over and over again and they learn jackshit.
