1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 05, 2021, 09:56:15 AM
Just when everyone is bashing Curry and saying he can’t lead a team... Wow. He now has a higher career high than LeBron, Giannis, Harden, Kawhi and many others. What a perfect time for him to have a breakout game. Too bad Klay had to get injured. As others have shown though, great of him to immediately congratulate his brother. Great night for NBA basketball.

Yeah, we were wrong, Curry is the same Curry that brought the GSW to the NBA Finals and won. You see how fun they are playing, they have a good chemistry now and I can see the same old warriors who are moving the ball very well. Hopefully they'll be consistent all through the season, and prove the doubters wrong by getting a playoff spot.

What do you think are their chances?
This dude broke the records of three pointers and then some like nobody has seen. Before Curry started to make three point shots something very common and can be done in huge volumes, Ray Allen was the person with the most threes in a year, and that was 269 threes in a season, you know what Curry has? 402, yes that's right, he not only took 269 and broke over 300, he broke over 400 at the same time. Even James Harden who is a big time three pointer now, couldn't get there, and this dude has 3 of the best three pointer seasons in the top 5, HALF of top 10 as well.

So, I think we have to give him the fact that he was and still is one of the best players in the league offensively, sure he may not be awesome on defense, but when it comes to scoring, there are rarely any players who can score like him, but also draw defense to him as well, he starts to get defended by half court, when gets closer he gets doubled or even triple teamed. That's talent.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 05, 2021, 05:00:56 AM
Juventus is not doing "that" bad, sure they are not where they were expecting themselves to be but many leagues are having similar problem with their teams, premier league has Manchester city lower than expected, la liga has Barcelona, and some other leagues have their own, great teams are not doing great this year. On the other hand, Juventus is 10 points behind with 1 game down, if they win that it is only 7 points down.

In a situation where there is only 15 games played, and normally 38 games played (hopefully) I think it is obvious that there is a looooong way to go for calling them down right now, they could still recover very quickly. I am not saying Juventus will be the champions, I am just saying it is too early to call them out of the race already, they are only 5th with one game in hand, so they are not really that far behind to call off race yet.

1165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is new occupation on: October 22, 2020, 06:53:24 PM
It’s not a new occupation, it has been like that for years now, unless you’re just referring to cryptocurrency trading because I have seen people who are full-time traders. But this is not something that’s meant for everyone, you need have raised enough funds and have strong knowledge in the business, if not you’re going to wreck yourself.

I had my own business and was trading when I had nothing doing, I’d just bring out my laptop and start trading, and till now I don’t do trading full-time, but there are people who do it, and they have been doing it for long time.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 21, 2020, 10:57:00 AM
What I have noticed is that those saying that the playoffs is rigged are actually those people who don't watch regularly an NBA game.
But how do you know that? I mean if someone claims the NBA is rigged surely they must have watched something happened that was botched or something, right? One who does not watch NBA can't even make any claims.

NBA does have a big stand for that. Players will not throw away their reputation by participating in rigged games.
True and the salary for players is huge so risking their life and career over some money would not be a wise and viable option but there might be other parts of the NBA being rigged like the Referee might be botching a few calls intentionally and maybe sometimes can be other officials like the review center that might botch a play by showing wrong/inconclusive angles. A lot of possibilities are there but personally speaking, I don't think it was rigged just because players played after a long time and without crowd the games were below the average NBA quality.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unique to man. on: October 20, 2020, 06:40:37 PM
Bitcoin is the first and it keeps taking the upper hand for that, nothing changes that. Many other digital currencies has been create and said to be better than Bitcoin due to one feature or the other that they carry, but at the end they can’t replace the cryptocurrency BTC which is the pioneer of the crypto space.

I am lucky I discovered cryptocurrency, it has served so many purposes for me, transaction hasn’t been the only thing though it’s the first, but in investment it has been good, and with that said, I’d like to add that Bitcoin is my first asset that I ever bought with my money. Despite that it was new then, I still believed in it, and this time around no one can tell me that it’s fake, because I have seen how far it came.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin and altcoins bull run every 4years. how many years already? 🐂🐃🦈 on: October 20, 2020, 06:07:08 PM
when do you think is the next crypto bull run?
We have only seen bull run happen twice, so how sure can you be that bull run happens I’m every four years, what if that’s not going to be the same this time around? What if things are not going to work that same way as you thought ? And if it’s going to be every four years, then I guess we are seeing the next bull run in 2021 and not this year 2020. We can’t tell if another all time high price will be anytime soon.

I don't think the bull run runs every 4 years there's no exact date on the Bull maybe it's just a coincidence but there's no proof that every four years a bull run will happen.
Exactly, it can be coincidence. But most of them misunderstood everything. Even the newbies that are joining are just joining because they are expecting the same thing to repeat itself so they can get rich and dump Bitcoin and leave. None of them talks about the technology any longer, it’s only when there will be another bull run.
1169  Other / Archival / Re: Grayscale bought BTC for $690M in the last 100 days on: October 20, 2020, 01:33:53 PM
I agree that OTC could be the way to go but if you are really buying that much, wouldn't buying from the market make it better? I mean think about it, the price is 10k and you want to buy 700 million dollars worth of bitcoin, shouldn't that mean you would increase the market a ton?

People would see that you are buying from one exchange and they will want to buy/sell in order to do arbitrage to make money thanks to you, but the best case would be price going up no matter what since not that many people have 700 million dollars and not that quickly, worst case would be price still standing still, grayscale is not losing anything at all. I would say OTC is the "safe" method and they probably did that obviously, but market buying would have made it a lot more volatile and increase the price as well.
1170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price are decreasing? on: October 19, 2020, 09:26:05 PM
now it is over $11k, do not get your hopes up just because it moved above $11k but do not be discouraged when it goes down, that is how you should react to bitcoin movements.
Absolutely this is one thing that people are yet to learn because if we had to trade with stable markets and prices then we can always do currency trading in pairs like USD/EURO but because we want higher frequency in change of the price we are trading with bitcoins and now people are questioning that which makes no sense.

We are in a volatile market, which has been stable for almost close to 3 months now, and ever since we moved above $10k we haven't went under it which is a big major achievement in the bitcoin world, yet somehow people are still worried about making a big loss or a profit, that is not how you should see this.
Because people have developed that kind of a mindset where they feel unless bitcoins rises by 2-3k USD it is not worth it but people are failing to understand that the reason for sudden rise in past was mass adoption which will not happen again with that same intensity again. The price will be more stable now I believe and while the price might rise slowly but that said even the drops should be more shallow so it acts both ways.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: State influence for cryptocurrency on: October 19, 2020, 08:53:44 PM
What impact will it have on cryptocurrency in a country torn by recession in the COVID19 pandemic?
some developed countries have entered recession. I just want to know what impact it will have on cryptocurrencies in your recession-ridden country
Recession can be positive for Bitcoin. Right now there are many countries in recession after coming out from lockdown, and Bitcoin has been positive, except previous negative it experienced around February – March. During recession, most people, especially investors, will be on the lookout for an asset that will help them to retain the value for their money, and as you can see, there are many people buying Bitcoin now. It’s not just people, companies too.

if government continue to print money, it will reduce the fiat value due to inflation.
This makes investors avoid investing in the traditional market which is bound to be affected by this situation.
No doubt there, but let’s not forget that when the economy stands and maybe by then Bitcoin reached another peak, it’s going to start falling again and investors will sell their holdings to be able to save their money from reducing. That’s just how it works.
1172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm very worried about my Crypto Trading. on: October 19, 2020, 04:59:53 PM
I'm very worried, Will I ever be able to make some income by trading crypto? Everything I buy is down. If I want to earn something from Crypto trading, then what do I have to do? What do I need to know?
It depends , some people can’t tell whether they are investing in a good crypto, would have been better if you listed the coins you have been buying so that forum members will give their thoughts on them and whether they are a good choice. Sometimes it would be better to leave altcoins that are still very new and go for the old ones that we have all known for a long time.

New cryptocurrencies can be good though, because sometimes if it’s a good cryptocurrency the price can start growing from there, and being one of the early investors means that you will be able to benefit a lot from it. But for now you have to go for the ones you know that are very good and have been able to last for long.

1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: October 11, 2020, 08:15:09 AM
Did you guys just change provably into probably and start talking about it like it's the casino's definition of fairness?  Grin I just had to ask even though I know what i'm reading. It's so funny.
It is actually funny how lack of knowledge dragged the discussion from how provably works to how the casinos are probably fair Grin.

Provably fair is not their definition or anything. It's simply a way of making the rolls random and visible to the player but encrypted so that the player cannot cheat.
You know what I tried to explain this many times but guys who are reluctant and don't want to understand always tell me that all these calculations can be manipulated and I remember how some guy at a casino once told me that the casino might have the the tool to decode sha and I actually left the chat after that because it was beyond my energy to explain him once he said that.

People enjoy calling probably fair as such casinos are promising they are fair but if they understand the concept they would never even question it again.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dash undervalued? on: October 09, 2020, 09:00:25 PM
Not really. It’s a good cryptocurrency, but being that good doesn’t mean that it must be in the top five. Yes it has very good features, maybe if you start comparing it with other cryptocurrencies, especially those that are in that top five you have said, you will notice that Dash is already in a good position. And a market price of over $60 and market cap of more than $6,00 million isn’t bad anyway.

Dash currently sits in the top thirty, that’s not bad. And there’s still more chances of the price going up in future.
1176  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜— Oktoberfest 🍻5th tournament 🥳130 mBTC prize pool on: October 09, 2020, 04:11:48 PM
Hi I used to play at bitcasino.io long time back and I loved the games you had that time like the lucky 5 and lucky 7 balls game. I am now actually thinking about playing again and the last time I left the casino because the wagering was too much and I felt really bad, I will be starting to play again and let's see how it goes this time because the casinos looks a lot more improved and it has been like year or more since I last visited and played there.

I am a long time player of your sportsbook sportsbet.io which comes from the same owners right? I somehow forgot about this casino and I was playing on some poor casinos so looking forward to playing there now. I just seriously hope the wagering requirements have improved from the past and there are more cool games now Smiley.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 26, 2020, 05:42:42 PM
As per the Coronavirus. Isn’t it clear that they were the ones who created the virus as a way to lure these developing countries to take loans from them and then fall into their trap, since most of them will be unable to pay back?

I don’t think people were lying when they said the virus was created by China. Every move they have been taking since the Coronavirus says a lot about them being behind the Coronavirus, like they seem to be more prepared ahead of the time for the breakout than every other country. And when the pandemic started, they have been acting nice to these developing countries and sending doctors and nurses to them, then they are also buying companies that failed, and giving out loans lol.
1178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make `Trading` profitable? on: August 18, 2020, 10:36:20 PM
I know right, that’s how it feels, we always want to have everything. There is a topic in this forum that says – Less profit is okay.
And yes the topic is right, getting less profit is okay, you should be happy that you even got over 50% of your investment when there are people seeing the opposite (losing more than 50%).

So don’t be worried about what you have missed, you should learn to be contented with what you have got and then prepare better for the next time when you will be in that position again. I am a long term trader and I prefer it to short term, it works for me perfectly.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: August 18, 2020, 10:01:06 PM
Nah, I don’t think I’m in support of the choice you have made. Although I wouldn’t say you shouldn’t go ahead with it, it’s all your choice and you know what’s best for you. But left for me to decide I would choose just Bitcoin and Ethereum, and nothing else.

Those two has been what’s working for me for a long time now. And I don’t get why you have decided to put Ethereum as least, when it’s clear that Ethereum is far more better than the other two you have placed as second and third choice. And you have said that lots of ICOs are scam, that has nothing to do with Ethereum, ETH itself is legit and is not a scam.

Court Rules Bitcoin Is a Form of “Money” Under Washington D.C. Money Transmitters Act
https://btcmanager.com/court-rules-bitcoin-money-washington-dc-money-transmitters-act/

IMO, this news could be huge news for the entire crypto community I think this will bring us one step closer to mass adoption. What do guys think?

This could legalize bitcoin but it would also bring more regulations relating to it and would be taxable and counted upon income and other taxes.
In my opinion, bitcoin use was never a threat in an open society like US but it's categorization as money would provide more power to the authorities to control it. Though the consequences would be clearer with the passing time.
If you are earning an income, you should act like a citizen and pay the taxes. Bitcoin was developed keeping decentralization in mind i.e. to eliminate the interference of any third-party institution and not as something to hide your black money with. It is only fair if government imposes taxes on it and stops money laundering and other illegal activities.

Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies if left unregulated, will give rise to many illegal activities and also increase its usage as payment method on the dark web.
