1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if dogecoin value goes 1$??? on: June 08, 2017, 09:02:48 AM
Hi guys i am having around 1k dogecoin in my account its value currently around 3 $ . I was thinking what if dogecoin value goes to 1$ . I know that dogecoin dev's left project long before and it was considered dead . But even its having market cap of 36,97,14,195 according coincap result .Is there any way of reaching at least 0.1 $ ? . If any highly influential please reply
I don't think that doge coin will reach 1$ and even 0.1$ but it might be possible when bitcoin price is more than 1m$ each which I think would take a long time and the chance of this happening when bitcoin reach the said price is low. Another way of it to reach 0.1$ is if there will be a miracle like dogecoin being used on famous online shops to pay that will happen to it in the near future which is most unlikely to happen.
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much money is needed to manipulate scamcoin prices? on: June 08, 2017, 06:31:19 AM
I’ve gotten pretty lucky lately trading and would like to try to pump and dump some low value coins. Exactly how much money is usually required to make these coins pump and how exactly would I go about in pumping/dumping the coin. I’ve got a decent treasure trove so I can probably make it happen.
You would need a large sum of btc at least 2-15 BTC to pump some low value coins. If you are feeling pretty lucky in trading, I suggest you stop what you are about to do because if you fail pumping and dumping the low value coins you will pump, you will end with a loss on your side and having big losses by doing what you think is pretty common.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: crowdsale token ethereum qeustion! on: June 08, 2017, 05:35:06 AM
Hi guys,

If i organize an crowdsale with ethereum it says the next thing:

"""""""
If you miss your goal, the donations are returned, therefore reducing the risk for donors. Since the code is open and auditable, there is no need for a centralized, trusted platform and therefore the only fees everyone will pay are just the gas fees.
""""""""

So my question is if i do a crowdsale of 1000 ETH worth of tokens but I only make it up to 999 ETH all the ETH will be returned?
Or if i do a crowdsale of 10 ETH worth of tokens but in 1 min the crowdsale is finished i will not be able to get more crowd funding?

If you do a crowdsale of 1000 ETH worth of tokens but only made up to 999 ETH worth of tokens and you indicated that your goal to reach was 1000 ETH, then all of the ETH will be returned to the investors. If you do a crowdsale of 10 ETH worth of tokens but in 1 min the crowdsale is finished, you can't get more crowd funding because you already stated that 10 ETH worth of tokens was the goal, and you can't add supply to it because you stated that 10 ETH is the only supply of tokens. That's how I remember it I might be wrong though.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to know crypto pow or pos? on: June 08, 2017, 04:26:15 AM
some of them have a pow phase and then go to pos, i don't think coinmarketcap can tell you that, or other have a pow activated after some times and there is initially a distribution in some way via airdrop for example, the only way is to look at the ANN

Thank you. But what is ANN? i don't know about ANN?
ANN thread is the thread where the altcoin was announced when the altcoin was first released and further announcements are posted there, ANN thread for short. If you want to know if a coin is pow or pos, or both, it is mentioned there. You can also know it on coinmarketcap too or in exchanges sometimes it is mentioned there when you look at the wallets section.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 08, 2017, 01:50:30 AM
What maybe the reason for the almost 100% price rise in  these 2 days?

People are realizing this is a solid project with real potential.
And the coin can be swapped 1:1?

Yes SJCX to STORJ will be 1:1 swap

The question is
When is the swap and distribution going to happen?

I figured it would be happening right now
I am not certain when the swap distribution will happen but I'm sure that swap from sjcx to storj will happen soon right after or before storj's listing to the exchanges mentioned in the original post made by OP.  For now always visit the exchanges mentioned by OP because exchange will happen soon and it might be exchanged there from sjcx to storj.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin transaction is fastest? on: June 08, 2017, 12:46:03 AM
How do you claim that both ethereum and bitcoin will make their transaction instant? That sounds weird, frankly. You must be aware of the bitcoin transaction time problem.
You must also be aware about segwit too, maybe he thinks that segwit might make transactions instant on bitcoin but O don't know why he claimed that ETH will have instant transactions in the future too. For me the fastest and cheapest coin to send right now on altcoins is doge since their transaction fee is only 1-2 doge which is 100+ satoshis only. It also takes only less than 5 minutes most of the time for it to have confirmations.
1167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 07, 2017, 06:27:09 AM
That's right price is increasing at a moment and in coming days we can expect it to go more higher and even if price falls then I don't think it can go below $1500 so for me $1000 price has become history now and we will never see that low price again.
Even if price is continuously increasing at the moment, I think it can still go below to $1500 and $1000 price and maybe some others think the same way too. There is a lot of possibility that can bring bitcoin price down to those levels like a major exchange being hacked, and many more possibilities. Because of those possibilities I'll say that we can see bitcoin at $1000 again or lower in the future, after all bitcoin is not always priced this high.
1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I sell? on: June 07, 2017, 04:08:08 AM
If you OP wants to sell now feel free to do so since the price is pretty high right now and if you need money right away now, don't hesitate to sell if you will gain profit if you sell now. If you don't need money right now and if you want to sell your bitcoin with higher price, better wait and hodl your whole balance because bitcoin still has a lot of potential to grow more and go up in the upcoming weeks.
1169  Economy / Speculation / Re: segwit effect on bitcoin price on: June 07, 2017, 02:57:09 AM
I guess you should sell your bitcoin after segwit since price would be higher if it is really the solution to slow confirmation times of transactions (whichever one is decided). For now just wait and see if a chain split will happen or not but personally I think that there will be no chain split by the time either segwit or BTU is implemented but I might be wrong.
1170  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC outcome shortly after August 1st? on: June 07, 2017, 02:11:43 AM
If the consensus is good and many investors liked it, and if the consensus attracted more investors which will add to the demand, price goes up even higher and if current investors does not like it, price will fall massively but for now the short term effect if the consensus is made is still unknown but most probably price will go up. For now let's wait for it to happen and either hold or sell depending on your needs.
1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is kwukduck? on: June 07, 2017, 01:27:16 AM
For now I think kwukduck is enjoying his/her day doing what he/she wants to do while waiting for price to go down again before making a thread saying bitcoin is doomed and will go down, etc. When kwuckduck comes out and posted his same old FUD prepare to buy bitcoins because I know he/she is doing the opposite of his/her post or just waiting to buy lower. Expect kwukduck to show up again soon if we hear bad news about bitcoin.
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: What we are experiencing right now is the norm on: June 07, 2017, 12:40:38 AM
Right now price is really high and I don't think your prediction would not happen OP since bitcoin does not operate within a pattern maybe by July we will see another one which is probably a pump with price higher than what it is now, or a dump to a lower price and maybe we will see 1200$ again. If an exchange is hacked by July or August which is possible, then we would see 1000$ again or lower.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 06, 2017, 07:42:13 AM
I think you misunderstood the Australian ATO publication .. Australia is not accepting BTC as a currency, it's simply doing away with the double taxation on transactions with all & any Alt coins. When i can pay my Government duties in BTC or Alt coins, is the day it will become a currency.. long way off before that happens.
Still it would boost price either way because with the double taxation on transactions using cruptocurrency gonr, many more users from that country might use bitcoin. You are right though in saying it would take a long time before Australia accepts BTC as a currency but the main point of OP here is that price would increase to 3,500 $ in 60 days so let it slide and just wait and see whether OP's prediction will happen or not.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 06, 2017, 05:49:40 AM
If btc were to be replaced in the future, it is because btc is an outdated technology in cryptocurrency in the future. Unlike you OP who does not like high volatility of btc, It ain't that big of a problem for me because I see those price movements as a chance to earn money quick and I don't think minexcoin would be better than bitcoin, I think minexcoin is yet another altcoin that might end up to be a shitcoin in the end. If scaling issue is solved the right way, there is a possiblity that in the future, btc will have better security.
1175  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC near $3k on: June 06, 2017, 02:50:02 AM
BTC right now is sitting at 2,800+$ price and is slowly rising according to preev and coindesk. The current price rise that we are experiencing is not just because of many businesses starting to accept bitcoin right now, but is also caused by the adoption in Japan which helps price to be stable at a high price. I hope this time 3000$ mark will be reached but there is a chance that it won't be reached for now.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What your favorite altcoin on: June 06, 2017, 01:42:43 AM
For me I like the 3 altcoins doge, ltc, and ethereum. I like doge more than the two because transfer using doge is fast and cheaper when compared to the other two. I like ltc just because they implemented segwit and also I use it frequently when I like to gamble. I like ethereum the least among the three I chose but I still like it because it got so many ETH based erc20 tokens that has a lot of potential and is a good altcoin to invest in now to make more bitcoin.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: June 06, 2017, 12:49:45 AM
Op your point is right, And that is the main reason why not all of us can be rich because if we are all rich, who will sell a house to us and our basic needs? Who would do the things that are needed to be done by humans? Also, taking care of a child would be no robot's task because it needs to be done by another human, not a robot. If all is rich, no one would bother do such labors that are needed by all of mankind to survive so if all became rich, there would be chaos and there will be no order afterwards.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2017, 08:36:59 AM
Bitcoin still have a lot of potential to grow in the years to come but I don't hold all the bitcoin that I have on my wallet. I sell a percent of what I got time to time after a price rise so that I got some money to spend and also to contribute to the market's price movement.  I also rebuy sometimes but holding bitcoin is against it because if all users will hold, no one will supply bitcoin to the market for others to buy and experience the benefits bitcoin gives to it's users so it is better to spend it and then gain some again afterwards.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Value of Altcoin IF Bitcoin splits on: June 05, 2017, 07:58:53 AM
It really depends on how things will go since no one is really that sure what will happen by august 1 but there will be no split because BU or Segwit will just implement changes therefore there will be no split. Bitcoin would still be bitcoin although but im sure if that happens, some altcoins will rocket in terms of price if the crypto users didn't like the implemented changes.
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of micro-transaction on Bitcoin on: June 05, 2017, 07:04:16 AM
My concern is that if Bitcoin can be an effective medium of exchange tool?

The reason why I asked is that there are fees associated to each of the transactions and the fees are increasing day after day, so it gets to a point that it is no longer justifiable to use Bitcoin to buy smaller items.  Higher fee becomes required as low fee transactions will be placed in the unconfirmed bucket for long time, if not forever, as no miners are willing to include them in the block to validate it.

How will the high transaction cost impact Bitcoin usage and price in the long run?  I would rather to see the future price increase is due to demand in the coin circulation than due to demand from speculation.

Please provide your feedback.  Thanks.
The scaling debate might solve this issue if one side wins and I hope that will be the way to lower transaction fees and faster confirmation times. The high transactions would hold back bitcoin's price growth in the long run and because of this it needs to be solved right away. Also higher transaction fees in the future might make some users look for other ways or other altcoins to send money if this continues. If that happens bitcoin will still continue to be an effective medium of exchange for big transactions only and an effective store of value for crypto users.
