1161  Bitcoin / Hardware / BFL Announcement Trolling Museum #2 on: February 05, 2013, 10:28:15 PM

edit:  even as old as I am, I still have not learned to just shut up and listen Wink

And you never will. I certainly didn't.  Grin

God you are an idiot.  You are definitely CreativeX level of incompetence and stupidity, congratulations for removing any doubt.

Bumping will take less than a day, actually, but we are allocating two days just in case.  Set up and tooling is what takes the most time, which is what we are trying to shave down.  Do I need to give you a quarter as well to go buy a clue?  Hell, go get it from Bryan Micon, the racist, homophobe... he never used his, so I'm sure he's still got it.

I appreciate you taking the time to post here with such an informative post, but the rest of us (your customers) would like a little more information. Where are you guys exactly in your schedule, and are there any delays to your week-of-the-10th shipping date?

BFL does not communicate with it's customers on BitcoinTalk, you'll have to come to the BFL forums if you want real information.  As evidenced by greyhawk, it's impossible to hold intelligent conversation here with people like him around, retarding up the place.

Not to be ass, Josh, but I believe you may be in error on this one (bold above).

If I remember, the silicon is 17x17mm.  The package is 29x29mm.  I'll measure it and confirm when I get into the office today.

I didn't do the research, but there's a slight possibility user BFL was directing the above reply to non-customers only.

Later, bud.

~Bruno K~

That was then.  We have abandoned BitcoinTalk as a useful means of discourse, it's likely beyond repair at this point, unless the mods grow some nads and actually ... you know ... moderate (It looked promising a couple weeks ago, but that quickly faded into nothing).  Until people like PuertoLibre, CreativeX, Greyhawk, et al are banned and/or moderated into oblivion it's pointless to have any sort of serious discussion here.  When a large portion of the posters in a thread have absolutely nothing useful to add to the conversation, the signal to noise ration spirals out of control.  The above mentioned people are just a small subset of the wastes of humanity that post here... they are incapable of intelligent discourse so they just wreck the place because it's amusing.

See? I told you you need to write better. A COO should be more precise in his statements, especially when clad in his employee persona instead of the Super-Insult-Man costume.

Right... blame me for your complete stupidity and inability to understand basic English. Yep... totally my fault that you're an idiot.

lrn2read and comprehend what's been said instead of posting the first airy thought that enters your tiny little bit of consciousness you manage to hang on to.

As usual, you are an idiot, greyhawk.  Do you even try to make posts that fit reality or do you just post shit to see what you can get away with?  Are you trying to take PuertoRetard and CreativeIdiot's place in the top dumbasses of BitcoinTalk?

The data is still there... it's currently limited to the last 75 transactions.  I don't currently have a method to retrieve all transactions, although I will see what I can do about making that available.
1166  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2000 GH/s] EMC: No Fee/PPS/DGM/Dwolla/SMS/2FA/GBT/Stratum/Vardiff on: February 05, 2013, 02:46:00 AM
BTC payments should have processed now.  There was a bug that was preventing payouts even though the hotwallet had enough funds.  Lately, the hotwallet has been running dry, presumably due to the price of bitcoins and people cashing out, so it's taken a bit of time each time to reload from cold storage.  Should be good to go now, though.

@brucegregory: There are no unpaid payments in the queue... if it's not showing up in your transaction history, then it didn't get entered.  How do you know you have a payment due?  If you can give me some more info to go on I will investigate it.

But, but!  PuertoLibre says there's no IP problem in China!  He is SURE of it!
1168  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: February 04, 2013, 09:35:15 PM
You need to be using GBT if you are solo mining on bitcoind.  You can't mine via getwork on bitcoind at those speeds.
1169  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Someone just ordered 8 BFL FPGA singles under my name... on: February 03, 2013, 05:05:05 PM
I'm checking into this. I think there was an import of old orders into our new ordering system last night and for some reason it was set to email people.  I think it only affected a few people.  I'm not saying this is the case for 100%, and I'm still investigating, but it's possible. We have been working on our new shopping cart/ordering system/backend for awhile now and it's almost ready, so it's entirely possible something leaked out in the form of an email when we imported the old data.

I am really hoping this is real.  Grammar and spelling aside the jist of the post rings true for me.  The way all ASIC vendors so far have forced the community to shoulder ALL the risk basically is unbelievable for a newb like me!  Add to that the absolute trainwrek PR and customer service shown by the current players and I feel like this isn't the real world anymore but some wild west cowboy shoot out!

Hey man, I think you might have a viable lawsuit on your hands if you were forced to purchase something.  Did they use a gun or a knife or something?  Was your family being held hostage until you ordered?  If you were forced into ordering something, it's under duress and you aren't liable for any contract you signed.  You should definitely consult a lawyer, I think you have a case!

BTW - just out of curiosity, which vendor(s) forced you to order?

You sir are a real gem, one of a kind (I can only hope).

Are you often ignorant simply for the sake of being ignorant (I think yes!)

First of all LOL at lawsuits I am not even sure how you managed to get there from my post but ah OK cool!

Perhaps in its literal definition forced was not the perfect word.  I guess me assuming that someone reading the post could get the "jist" of it without translating every word literally we're just slightly optimistic?

Would you prefer if I said something like The current ASIC vendors have decided to only accept full payment pre-orders thus shifting the burden of risk from themselves to the customer?

If you don't want people to take your inflammatory, false/misleading statements at face value, then say what you mean.  You have never been forced to order from any ASIC vendor.  You have always had the option to wait until the products were available for purchase and shipped to you.  Your entire premise is flawed, in so far as the fact that if you pre-ordered, you chose to do so of your own free will.  If the risk that you would be bearing is too much, then do not pre-order. There is absolutely zero requirement for you to do so, thus your statements are false.  You may not like it, true, but you are free not to participate.  Those that are willing to shoulder the risk and those that don't mind the situation will take your place... but there is nothing forcing you to participate at any level.

Yes, of course, attacking you... pointing out that your entire statement is false in a semi-humorous way is attacking you.  You're the only troll here, sir.

Paging Jgarzik.  Party of one.  Jgarzik, party of 1!  Your seat at the ASIC table is ready.  JGarzik, party of 1!

I think this is one dinner you'll be happy to eat alone. Smiley

1179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon going to cut into BFL customers pocket books? on: February 01, 2013, 06:32:43 AM
Hey... you can get an Avalon unit to do 720 GH/s.  It's totally easy.  Just put 12 BFL singles in the case.  Just a bit more wattage than a 4 card Avalon and you'll have room to spare AND you'll get almost 3/4 of a TH out of an Avalon.

BTW, for creativeIdiot who keeps bitching about BFLs power estimates, I would like to point out that power estimates exceeded expectations for the Minirig.  So if you want to talk track record, it's a wash.  So stop with your lies about how we've never estimated power properly.  We made ONE (count it), ONE mistake and you've been banking on it forever.  Of course, you just can't be bothered to mention that the minirig power estimates came in under spec, for which we over delivered on promises.  God forbid you tell the truth in all your bullshit.
