1161  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 21, 2023, 08:02:38 PM
I believe that the $50,000 is very possible, especially in the last quarter of this month, but just in case it is not, the first quarter of 2024 will be the chance.
Because I believe that the Bitcoin block halving in 2024 is the biggest trigger for Bitcoin to reach again this kind of price level.
We are still in the beginning of 2023 but Bitcoin's performance is already superb, how much more if we will move on the third or fourth quarter of this year? I wouldn't be surprised if we can end this year with at least $50k in price per Bitcoin. This are all possible even if the history didn't repeat itself. Each Bitcoin halving has a positive impact on Bitcoins price.

This upcoming Bitcoin halving are said to help the price to reach 100k dollars. Everyone is so excited about it, this is why they are now filling their bags faster. They are wishing that this bear can still last a little longer because they are afraid that they won't see this price this low again.
1162  Economy / Economics / Re: The Rise of GPT AI. Crypto is at risk? on: February 21, 2023, 06:59:08 PM
Trading bots have been used by traders for years already. AI on the other hand has been very disruptive and is being used for different situations worldwide. From making articles, to programming, to even making some research papers.

Adding AI to these trading bots might have a significant upgrade into it, but I believe there will be some flaws into it and because of it, I don't see it as a risk like other users sees it. Market manipulation is your problem? It has been happening for a long time already, and no one can stop it (at least for now). GPT AI has a long way to go. It has been there for years, but it just went popular when ChatGPT has been released. Overall, AI might be used or integrated to these trading bots, but I don't see it as a risk either. More of a benefit I guess.
Isn't AI and trading bots the same? They are useful but to say that they are disruptive could be situational and that is when they totally replace the human on their jobs. That is something that didn't happen yet in trading because we traders are still the one who program the bot and then we monitor it if they are doing their jobs properly or not.

There are some flaws on AIs and that is they can experience some bugs or they can glitch sometimes. There are risks if we totally depend on them. If you are talking about its risks on crypto or if it's a threat to crypto then I think no because both of them are not the same. Cryptos are a currency but AI is about the bots and automation services.
1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin inflation wilder than fiat? on: February 20, 2023, 09:24:39 PM
Example, lowest value today is 1 satoshi or 0.00000001 BTC, maybe if no more btc, we can small it unit to be 0.1 satoshi = 0.000000001 BTC BTC, it's not just adding value, but maybe next there For will be a lower fee than today.
Denomination never adds value. The value of bitcoins that gets denominated is always relying on the price of 1 bitcoin = $$$. The fees of bitcoin itself are determined by the block. I think that denomination has no relationship with determining the fees of btc.
Yes I know, I just tell effect in the future if all bitcoin is minted and the value is been greater. I believe, the people will find a way how to further shrink the more unit. we don't know in the future if 1 sat may equal with $1. if happens, maybe there will be units smaller than satoshi. 0.1 sat, 0.01 sat, 0.001 sat, etc which I thing will be affect to the value of denomination.
The value of the denomination wouldn't be affected if the price already reaches such a high place where 1 satoshi will equal $1 or even more. Though it sounds utterly unrealistic, but let's just say it happens. That way, the smaller units will only represent a smaller value of the denomination just like how 1 satoshi does right now.

Also, I don't really think that the price of Bitcoin will ever reach that high, I admit it has great potential, amazing use cases and everything, but I think we are taking it a little too far with that. I can't even imagine thinking of a currency that is worth millions.
1164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 20, 2023, 03:03:50 PM
I've some profits as this but I would have to tag it a coincidence but I bought the coin and in less than five hours it went all high and that was one of my happiest days in crypto and most times I always look back to the days of the last glory.
Over the period I've seen most of these alt coins if not all as scam projects because most times, it seems to be a pump and dump project and that is one of the reasons why investing in this shit coins seems so risky and not worth it except you're willing to take the risk.

It's actually no news to me about having some persons fore fronting most of these shit coins and all of these stuffs are for selfish Interests of making huge profits at the detriment of innocent investors.
How can you say co-incident? Did you accidentally see it and you then invest on it? If not then I wouldn't call it as one because there are really people who watch out for the new token listing on binance or they joined some groups on telegram to know if which coin will be listed.

The coin's starting price is a bit high so I don't think I will ever invest on it and it was also risky to invest more of it because what if it collapse right after bought it? You know there are so many pump and dump coins now and it still happens even if the coin is already listed on binance. Binance nowadays doesn't really care anymore about their reputation but they will only list a coin as long as they can afford to pay the listing fee.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 17, 2023, 07:26:59 PM
I wouldn't, I knwo that makes me sound like a crazy person and probably made you feel like I am a bad neighbor as well. But the fact is that I can't take that risk, even if they come to me begging to learn how to buy some bitcoins, that would still not be good enough reason to help them.

Because, I would be fearing that if they buy and the price goes down and they lose money, the relationship we have may never be the same and they may think that I did something wrong by letting them have it. I know you will say "if they wanted you to help, why would they be mad at you?" but that is just how humans are, it has happened to me once, and I won't do it ever again.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 17, 2023, 04:55:40 PM
Through limiting their user account, it could also mean limiting their bets and I think this is not new anymore  as casinos also set the maximum prize that they can only refund to their bettors. So if a single user has different accounts and all those are winning one after the other, that could really be a problem on part of the casinos. So casinos have to do their part too by looking the patterns on how they bet, aside from monitoring their email add and locate their IP address. That way, it’s possible that those users who have made various accounts will easily be tracked.
To limit someone's accounts is too general and there are different restrictions that can be done here and one of it is like you said, to limit their bets placed. There are also cases where the odds are limited. Yes this is not new but I already saw this even before and I think some of us already got an idea on why it can happen so we just avoid it than to feel disappointed later on.

There are still other ways to bet or enjoy gambling, not only a certain betting site or on a certain game. Multi accounts are strictly prohibited and the reason why the player has it is for the sole purpose of doing an abuse so casinos has the right to punish them.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 17, 2023, 03:19:54 PM
I have not tried Chatgpt with trading, but I have some experience with Chatgpt and my opinion. Chatgpt works best when we are looking for work related knowledge, and it is suitable for people with marketing jobs that need to write content and programmers. For trading, trading means we need to make predictions about the future, and I think Chatgpt is not a crystal ball, so it cannot replace us trading.
So why not try it and see for yourself if it works or not? Because you know, there are so many people who are curious how it works in trading and even in betting. Some feedbacks that I read are great but some says that it doesn't work really well. Maybe it also depends on the timing and our luck, as results can differ sometimes if you will use ChatGpt in different times in regards to trading and in sports betting because their market is also changing from time to time.

What I know is that the main use of ChatGpt is to help programmers with the codes but I never hear that it works well in marketing related stuffs but I think it's not that hard so it can always be done manually.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who makes such predictions? on: February 17, 2023, 02:51:31 PM
People love to manipulate markets its all about profits you know. Every coin holder I know in my office praise coins they hold. It can be good altcoins like Ethereum as well. But most people I see dream about hitting a million dollar level so they buy cheap low cap coins, they encourage others to buy that nonsense coin they picked from Twitter or something. Twitter especially lets people to do many weird claims indeed. Its manipulative place.
Indeed, what is done by manipulating the market is part of a plan that is intended to be carried out so that what is desired can later be achieved and the results obtained will be obtained. but now everyone is smarter and can't be manipulated like that anymore, because information is widely scattered and we are able to sort out which one can be trusted or is deliberately looking for a momentary advantage.
but we cannot avoid such things because it has become a common thing, they do it for well-planned intentions.
That is if the manipulation is successful but at all times it isn't because it's not easy. You need power to do it (money and fame). Elon musk must is an example of a successful manipulator and the coin that manipulates is Dogecoin.

If you are not new in the market then you will know that manipulations are not a good thing and its risky to be involved in but there will always be newbies that will constantly enter and they are the ones who are the target of the manipulators. All of us that are involved in cryptos are able to make such predictions and to make our predictions more precise, we apply technical and fundamental analysis with it.
1169  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here into passive investing (of their time)? on: February 16, 2023, 08:50:49 PM
I heard a story about a CFO who owned a large stake in her company.

When she was fired from the company, the first thing she did was to sell all her shares.  When asked why she did it?  - She answered - that she invests only in those assets, the fate of which she can influence.  There is some wisdom in this ....

Even if we are talking about passive income (for example, renting out real estate), we still need to constantly monitor the situation on the real estate market, repair and maintain the premises, look for new tenants and take other active actions  .

A person must earn his bread by actively working - this is taught by the Christian Bible.

Passive income is not completely passive, a person still has to work.
It's funny how the ex-CFO asked on why she sold his shares but what's the point of holding them if she is already out of the company? But, the move that she did there can also act as a revenge to that same company that fires her. That company might also be suffering right after she sold all his stakes.

Karma hit them real quick. When we invest we don't just invest and careless but a constant monitoring about our investment is necessary so that we can take adequate actions depending on its flow. Investing on real estate is only hard because some things are still needed but that isn't experienced in crypto and other investment assets.
1170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Check my advertising tips about Bitcoin and criticize it. on: February 16, 2023, 06:59:42 PM
I don't understand why you made this topic.

I thought it is an invitation letter to guests, customers. Is it a letter from your business or from Binance?
I don't think it is from Binance definitely so only one chance left, it is from your business. So where is the link of the invitation letter on your website?

Because it is impossible from your business, I move my mind to another option, it is your educational topic to guide newbies creating accounts on centralized exchanges for trading. In this guide, you teach them to open account on Binance.

Binance. How to get started? New user guide

It's worthy to mention Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts
Just like the title says, the OP is giving tips on how to advertise Bitcoin and I think he only use Binance there as a sample on how can people get involved in Bitcoin but I think that was fast if he will recommend trading without introducing what is Bitcoin first. There is an introduction there but it was wrongly written. As @mk4 said, Bitcoin is not a trading platform but one example of a trading platform is Binance.

Bitcoin is only a digital currency or also called as cryptocurrency which is decentralized. He didn't put a link yet to invite anyone about their program because it will not start now but we still have to wait for 1 more month. I guess the OP can still learn more about Bitcoin and hopefully he will improve before the event starts.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: February 16, 2023, 05:56:42 PM
Ripple always knew that they were playing with fire when they started, and now people are suddenly realizing that fact. This is a company that says "we can move your money all around the world for very cheap using the money we made up" and you think that governments would not find any problems in that?

It was always obvious that money is something you can't just create out of nothing and be a company about it, bitcoin is fine because nobody profits from bitcoin being used, XRP however profits Ripple as much as it could profit them and that is the difference, it is based on a company and that will never be ok for any government in the entire world.
I think Ripple started fine but only face an issue after so many years but they are lucky that their company is still there surviving and still have the chance to continue to operate legally once they win the case that is issued about them. It was the people who invest in Ripple are the ones who are playing with fire right now because some things could go wrong with Ripple later on. It is said that Ripple is backed by different banks therefore I think they don't just issue money out of thin air.

Also, there are people who profits from Bitcoin when someone starts using it, and that is the miners but those who use, invest/trade with Bitcoin can also make a profit out of it. Ripple users can as well get a benefit if they use their coin properly.
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: February 16, 2023, 05:41:10 PM
Someone should do calculations that how much holding 100k of BFG has actually paid during this time, as the divindends on that have been dropping since the start.
And since i don't think that data is available, we should ask from someone who has staked with same amount of bfg from the start.

So can we find a person who has staked same exact amount in betfury from the start?
Well, honestly, even if there be someone with such amount of BFG in staking, doubt if such person would be on this forum, but anyways, lets wait and see if any one comes up with such amount in staking.

And for the guy above you saying that BFG is better than bitcoin, that is one of the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while, comparing BFG to bitcoin is even a big mistake in the first place.\
You spoke about bitcoin losing more than 3 times its value, and BFG less than twice its value, did you bother to put into consideration the time bitcoin was launched and when BFG was launched?
You are completely mistaken with this your comparison bud.
I think it was meant to be mathematically. As in, you would have 100k dollars worth of bitcoin, which turns into 33k dollars, and if you had 100k dollars worth of BFG, then the price would make it drop to 50k, but you would be 50k+ because it is guaranteed that you got paid, so mathematically speaking, it should be a lot better in worth if you did the same investment for both of them.

But for this to work, you compare peak of bitcoin and peak of bfg, and you are talking like it is going to be like that forever, we all know bitcoin has a longer future but at the very least the mathematics that they did to calculate the current situation is true.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 15, 2023, 07:49:50 PM
For those who can manage finances well, a weekly salary is a good thing, most people are too easily tempted to shop on weekends so all the salary they get is used up, but if we can leave it for investment even with a small value then weekly salary is better than monthly.
Basically every salary is good and also useful for life because it is part of the results of work every week and also in every month. And for me, those who receive a salary on a weekly or monthly basis are actually not much different if they can save it according to their basic needs. Because what makes the salary look small or not enough is prestige and too often follows a lifestyle that even that is not always needed by everyone.
It is different for me, when I get weekly I fail to live according to how I should, monthly is better. My expenses are monthly, rent, electricity, internet, phone, heating, water, everything is monthly, so I should be getting monthly as well. I have been doing a lot better that way and it's easier to manage.

However, companies are even harder, they make money based on each sale, so if they are doing good, that's not confusing, but there are some who make a ton sometimes, and then for a few months make nothing, making sure that runs is a very difficult one, like make 30k a month, then nothing for 3 months, how do you manage to live like that? I wouldn't be able to.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: February 15, 2023, 12:22:10 PM
Its just 11 days into the new year and 2023 is already showing signs of hope for bitcoin investors. Bitcoin is currently on 17k plus as of this morning when i check my binance app which is currently a good results as bitcoin has been stuck at 16k for a very long time.
You know how much profit you would be making by now if you had invested when you made this post. Bitcoin is now above $21,000 and it is going to rise more in days to come. But the problem with investors is that they are always afraid to invest until price begins to rise.
It has been said that there is a 30 percent increase which have happened in Bitcoin in a month or so course. Imagine that? I think 30 percent is already huge, more if we are investing a whole coin but the fun doesn't stop there.

People are still bullish so it's a must if we will HODL for a while and continue some buying since there are a few corrections that is felt along the way. Less experienced people are actually more encouraged to invest once they see the value improves but some veterans thinks it's not wise for accumulation. There are still old Bitcoiners who are now into longer terms so they will just do a DCA no matter what is the condition of the market.
1175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2023, Bullish or Bearish? on: February 15, 2023, 11:26:50 AM
The first thing is, of course we must know from what price we determine bullish or bearish, if we take the price position at the beginning of the year, of course there has been an increase of more than 30%, and if we pay attention to the trend that occurred in February then it was seen that the price was difficult to rise, me sure if the price of February can touch $ 30k then this year the market will be bullish, it might be able to make a new ath again.
The title says 2023, so yes we begin on January. It's clear that these early two months of this year are still bullish for BTC because we haven't dropped yet below our starting point which was $17k. Maybe what we currently see can carry a big load to the next month or two but the rest of it are still going to be unpredictable.

There is still a possibility that we can end this 2023 with a bearish market but everyone seems sure that the next year is going to be a better year for Bitcoin and the rest of the coins. For now I don't think we can hit $30k this February because even $25k seems difficult but it's going to be a big achievement for BTC once we hit those numbers this year.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 14, 2023, 08:04:53 PM
I remember that when PSG was losing against bayern in UCL final 2019/2020 but PSG was making its revenge to the bayern by winning away goal in UCL 2020/2021. These are also another golden moment for both of teams. Bayern has mission to make revenge against PSG.
Sending PSG back to the french league is the main aim by bayern. Im still prefer to take bayern rather than PSG. Mssi and mbappe will be playing but i won't expect full time of playing.
PSG will be facing one of strongest team in UCL that has a very good history in UCL too. It's unlike PSG that never won UCL trophy ever.
Both teams having good rivalry in last few years with both are having same competition in their domestic leagues which Bayern Munich is dominating in Germany and PSG is also having dominance in France which mean things are not easy for both teams to have win in this match even I am personally feeling PSG at home having some advantage and can do better for qualifying into round of eight because if they are able to beat Bayern Munich in this leg then surely this could be plus point for them, and they will have good chance for going into second leg with advantage even both are having good quality players and both are also having good performance in last few matches as well but still it's never been easy game for place into next round.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 14, 2023, 08:39:20 AM
West Indies already have a lead of 175 runs, and there is a good chance that they may not be required to bat again. Zimbabwe once again proved that they are competitive only when Sikandar Raza is in the team. But he is participating in the PSL, so can't rescue them this time around (BTW he played his last test match for Zimbabwe almost 2 years ago). My advice to Zimbabwe would be to restrict themselves in test format against teams such as Ireland. If they play against the tier-1 test nations, due to the gap in player skills the matches will turn out to be too much one-sided.

So far this series has served it's purpose to improve the personal stats of some of the players. Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Gudakesh Motie would be happy about what they have achieved so far. But the ICC needs to take in to account these mismatches. They need to decide whether Zimbabwe should be allowed to play in test format, against tier-1 countries.
Most chances we will have this test match ended today or tomorrow early which could be good for them because now West Indies is in complete control, and they will not allow home team Zimbabwe to have anything good while their batting is struggling but good thing happening for the West Indies as now they are having few youngsters which can give them better results in test format even now I have feeling few countries need to change their strategy and stop playing test and ODI with having only T20i teams will be also beneficial for them because with these teams can improve their quality, and they also can do good domestic set up for this set up with West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan these all are just wasting their time and energy for the two formats with good results can achieve with just work on one format.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 13, 2023, 09:42:58 PM
The game getting more interesting to watch, I might likely bet online for the home team to add an additional one goal.
It is now very obvious that Everton were just lucky against Arsenal. Liverpool have been able to get another goal and a really important goal for Gakpo who has not had a wonderful start to his Liverpool career. With this goal, hopefully he has broken the deadlock and the confidence that scoring gives is already showing. Gakpo has made some excellent run, and made some good combinations with Nunez.  A few more games with those two and they both can become a very strong force for Liverpool.
Even Derby matches are never been easy for any team but in today match Liverpool are doing better and after 70 minutes they are leading by 2 - 0 with firs goal score by Mohammad Salah and second from new Dutch hero Gakpo which is good for him from start Liverpool doing good job and having good aggressive approach which is giving them good edge and their strikers are also in good action as they are consistently working on their target hopefully now with this match they will be felt better and having confidence to face Real Madrid in their next big game for the spot of last eight in Champions League.

With their next target in Premier League is Newcastle United which is currently at fourth spot and having four draws from their last five games, hopefully Liverpool will try their best for another positive result because now time is running out, and they have no enough options for having better results in all coming matches.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 11, 2023, 09:25:39 AM
Benzema has started to get injured more frequently these days. This time he has muscle fatigue and I don't know when he will be able to return.

Maybe he gets injured often but it doesn't last long at least. Real Madrid really need him though. His productivity is really important for the team. But even in his absence Real Madrid are actually strong enough to beat smaller teams. But they have made simple mistakes in some games which led to unexpected results. They need to step up if they want to maintain their claim for the league title.
Injury prone Karim Benzema is now 35 years old, and his contract is going to end after end of this season which mean most chances Real Madrid is not going to extend his contract and after this season they will go for the new striker even they have few youngsters but still they will bring something special with few are already under their radar but until last day no one can give any prediction who is coming and how things will go.

Carlos Ancelotti is doing good job, but this is wired why he has no player for the running season even all were aware of Karim Benzema situation, and they were defending two titles but still have no suitable replacement which create some mess up for them in middle of this season.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 11, 2023, 06:53:03 AM
although Milan's performance in this match did not look optimal. or still under the best performance they have. but at least Milan get 3 points from this fight. And in 4 more days Milan must prepare to compete in the Champions League against Tottenham. I'm not sure about the condition of Milan. Even I doubt if Milan can win the game against Tottenham in the Champions league. But at least in Serie A at the moment Milan is back in 3rd place. although we know that it seems like this is only temporary. because Rome and Lazio if they win the match later, Milan's position will be shifted again. But the Lazio vs Atalanta match looks like it will be a fierce and exciting match.
Milan's narrow 1-0 victory over Torino is a good thing for Milan (especially for their position in the Serie A standings), but in that match, it seemed that Torino dominated the match, so when they faced Tottenham later, I doubt Milan will be able to bring victory.  by the way, the competition to be in 3rd place in serie a standing is very fierce, but it seems that milan will not be in 3rd place for long because roma will definitely win easily against lecce later.
In first half both teams were playing with the same level but no one able to score any goal but in second half Torino were better but still not able to score any goal but Milan having good chance and Giroud were able to give them most wanted win which bring them back in competition for the top four spots, and now they have good change before big game against Tottenham which is going to play after four days and things are not good for the Milan because if they want to have better results in Champions League they need to improve their quality which will help them against team like Tottenham which is struggling in Premier League but still having better squad and combination for this big game.
