1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Jupiter-Colony-Coin - a new horizon for Humanity on: May 02, 2021, 10:14:52 PM
Hello

This is the start of a new Project - colonizing outher space with the help of a crypto-project
-

What outher space are you talking about here?  Grin

I don't think this is a serious project. Does the OP really think that it is possible to go to Jupiter? In reality, people are just exploring the possibility of human life in Mars, but in Jupiter? I don't think so. So high likely that this is seemingly a joke project. Maybe as Miiike mentioned, it is more on theoretical thinking here not really actually making Jupiter abode.
1162  Economy / Economics / Re: The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 02, 2021, 09:24:12 PM
The current payment system is hard to transform to perfectly decentralized (or I mean using cryptocurrency). The governments always prevent us from fully using cryptocurrency in our daily life. They may force us to use fiat or CNBC (if they can created) but cnbc is acutally another form of E-comercial which is totally centralized by the government. So far, Paypal and other firms work better than the government so I believe they do not want to waste their time on a ineffective project

Cryptocurrency wide adoption means the death of centralization.
Well, the post is about fiat cashless ones included, not just cryptocurrencies and as what we all have observed, Government is only against crypto payment systems, not cashless ones in which we use digital money which are monitored and controlled by the government! It makes it a lot easier for them to monitor these transactions and keep a record of it and regulate it! On one hand it brings government interference but at the same time it reduces the virus spreading through fiat cash!

Yes, the post is not only about crypto payment method but digital fiat payment method. It is just showing how we are going into digital payments these days because of this covid virus. Not only in his country but around the world that as much as possible we want to avoid the use of physical cash. Ride-sharing apps or delivery platforms are now encouraging their customers to pay online to further avoid physical contact.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Efforts of holding wasted on: May 01, 2021, 11:59:27 PM
My advice to all Make a game plan , For example you could choose to have half of your portfolio as a short term flip and the other half long term hold. Everyone has the same objective to make more money/ maintain current money. Follow your plan and tweak as necessary. Good luck!

Also, if I may add, if you decide to hold some alts other than bitcoin, you need to keep up to date with those coins. What I am trying to convey here is that, you need to follow the progress of the coin in terms of development. You can also get a hint if the dev team has active plans by checking and visiting their social media channels. If those channels are silent, doubt about the future of that alt. It may be heading to abandonment. Decide for yourself if you want to continue holding that alt or get rid of it while it has still value in the market. It is better to discard the coins while it is being traded rather than be left out with worthless coins.
1164  Economy / Economics / Re: Government policies help to grow the price of bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 11:29:52 PM
If government policies help raise the price of bitcoin it will have no effect on bitcoin. The government cannot control this currency although many countries have banned this currency they are supporting crypto because of the high price of bitcoin investment will become profitable for economic development currently it is pushing up the price of bitcoin even more in some countries there is no law on bitcoin, while in many countries bitcoin transactions are legal. But economists and other stakeholders around the world are risky to invest in cryptocurrencies as their value increases and commas change rapidly.
If the governments want to increase the price of bitcoin, they can do it in just one single day. What they have to do, get the president of that nation, it would be better if it is a big nation like USA or UK or anything like that, let them say "bitcoin and blockchain are a wonderful technology, we as a government will try to implement that as much as possible into government branches" or anything else that is as positive as that, start with allowing people to pay taxes in crypto. That's it, you need nothing else, if you do this, if Biden for example or Boris comes out and says this, that's it, that's done, we are talking about basically bitcoin doubling in a week if that happened.

If they say they are planning on putting some bitcoin into national reserves? That's like dream come true for all of us, we will go over 200k+ very easily if that was done.

I don't think we will see that kind of approach very soon. Most governments want full control of their financial aspect of things. With bitcoin or other cryptocurrency, it would be hard for them to have full control. This is the reason why many governments are banning or not legalizing the use of bitcoin, because they don't have the full control of it. Some will just make a reason that it may be used for fraudulent activities, but so with fiat currency. But the difference with fiat, is that they have the full control of its circulation. Whereas, with bitcoin, they will not have the full control of it, but they can regulate the use of it.

The terraces are open again in the Netherlands!
To make this as safe as possible, we are introducing Bistroo QR-code ordering; view the menu, order and pay completely contactless right from your table!

It is good to see that this platform is already live with their services. As pandemic is still around us, this kind of service is needed to at least minimize the infection around the community. The rating in trustpilot is also excellent, that means you really have a good start in this business.

And since you achieved the hard cap, what do you think will be your major activities this year to further expand your business? Are you going to integrate another network other than eth or just stay with eth network?
1166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC price is affecting your? Tips and ideas you must know (for newbies as well) on: May 01, 2021, 09:54:15 PM
Anxiety, fear and greed are not bad things we must learn to turn them into a force that makes us more money.
If you look at the price every 4 hours and feel anxious, there is no point in wasting all that energy, learning how to control your feelings, and learning more so that you can transfer it into money.
More fear requires more learning and spending more time enjoying your money. Many people do not enjoy their earnings.

Those emotions are normal especially if you are heavily invested into something. Just like when you are into crypto and you have invested in bitcoin or other alts. You tend to check their market movement, which is understandable. But if you feel it is affecting your mental or physical health, maybe, it is time for you to assess the situation. Maybe, it is not the type of investment that you need to explore with. Because in the long run, it might really affect your whole being and you will suffer more intense emotion like depression. Weigh your options here, it is better to address your situation early rather than when you are already in the deep trouble.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HARMONY PROTOCOL on: May 01, 2021, 09:19:52 PM
Introducing the Harmony HRC-20 Governance

The Harmony team is releasing the HRC-20 Governance as a next step into decentralized governance. This is intended for all projects that have their own HRC-20 token on the Harmony network, enabling them to have their own governance system.

More information:
https://medium.com/harmony-one/introducing-the-harmony-hrc-20-governance-5d72c63702b2

It is mentioned from the above article that functionality-wise, HRC-20 is similar with ERC-20. So what can you sell to developers that will make them interested to create their project under your governance? ERC network is no doubt more popular right now. You need to give certain edge that can only be found in your network. How about the fees involved? Do you have a site where users can track the existing fees like with ethgasstation.info?
1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go below $40,000 on: May 01, 2021, 02:45:56 PM
$40k still looks a possibility if an institution like Elon's Tesla comes up with a statement like they simply sold off their BTC assets just to show us there's ^liquidity^ in the markets. I believe BTC is still in its bullish phase but bears leave no chance at putting it down whenever they see least liquidity available downwards to throw and move BTC downwards which also liquidates many longs in futures and makes handsome profits to bears. This is a cycle where BTC can't just go up alone, so the higher it goes, the higher are its chances of getting down.

Yeah, probably this is just a test for Elon, he wanted to see the liquidity and there you have it, bitcoin plummeted to $47,500.

But now, we are back to normal, the market is now on the bullish cycle again and the gain in the last 24 hours? magical, as the price is going to $58k and probably we will going to see $60k in the net coming days. But it doesn't mean that we can't go below $40k though, we just need to be careful of those FUD and negative news again.

The movement of bitcoins has started to slow down with the volume decreasing with each exchange. is there any possibility that investors have started to withdraw their bitcoins to keep their wallets. if conditions like this it is possible that bitcoin will reach the peak point of exchange.

I see investors don't feel any pressure to exchange it, so it feels like it's safe.

How did you know that the volume is decreasing in crypto exchanges? Do you have reference data that can validate this assumption?

But on the other note, not even a week the OP posted this thread and we are really back at $57k+. Which can possibly go to 60k again. For those who bought at 47k, you are now gaining profits not even a week of holding. The support is really strong above 50k. Are we seeing that the adoption nowadays is really different from previous years?
1169  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 01, 2021, 11:23:20 AM
Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronics cash system while Agriculture is the production of crops and rearing of animals for man's use. I am a farm who is into subsistence and plantation farming in my country, but i find it difficult to use bitcoin to improve my farm the way others business men use bitcoin to improve their investment.how can i use bitcoin to improve my plantation farm? Does it mean farmers cannot use bitcoin to improve their peasant or plantation farm?
Kindly share your idea to help someone.

First of all, you should remove the word "vs" to your title since your goal is to incorporate Bitcoin to agriculture and not to compare them.

Bitcoin is an asset or currency so you should start considering that. You can introduce Bitcoin to farmers as an investment. You can allocate some of there profit in cryptocurrency as life savings then take profit once the price goes up. And also you can use it as payment system for your product. You can ask your buyer to pay in Bitcoin.

Yes, the title can be - Bitcoin in Agriculture Industry.

One way is really explore your options in the payment area. If you are selling your farm products, you can give an option to your buyers to pay in bitcoin. You can use your local exchange rate if clients are asking what rate you are using.  If you don't have your own website, you can even put a signboard in your farm like - bitcoin is accepted here. You are now helping in the adoption of bitcoin in your local area.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AVAX] Avalanche Speculation on: April 30, 2021, 11:30:14 PM
i found a pretty interesting discussion about this token on YouTube....what do you think about this project, do you think that this year AVAX will be in the top 10!  and does this have the potential to be used?
Avax has the same potential to be another big blockchain like top 10 coins. Avax needs more than a miracle to enter the top 10 CMC and why? there are a bunch of smartcontract platforms on the top 10 like ethereum, ADA, BSC.
It's quite difficult for AVAX to reach the top 10 this year consider the mainstream adoption as an alternative chain for ethereum already got by binance.
AVAX needs a lot of hardfork to make it becomes top 10 coin
It does have the potential to be used and why not?
The most difficult thing to attract the adopters.

I am also not seeing AVAX to be in the top 10 this year. Though they have a very promising platform, but they have a lot to prove first before entering into this group. They need to attract as much projects as they can and make it successful in the market. In that way, those projects will be concrete examples that their network is making a dent in the crypto industry. Without successful projects under their belt, would be hard to claim that they are one of the best networks out there.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL vs Staking, What is the best strategy? on: April 30, 2021, 10:41:50 PM
They are attracting you to deposit bitcoin to exchanges and have it on their platform being staked but it's not really staking. You lend it to them.
But what if they get hacked and they announce and most deposits can no longer be refunded because all of them are affected?
Just HODL it without any problem if it's for bitcoin and for some reputable wallets, allows you to stake altcoins.

Yes, not staking but just like in Binance, you can transfer your btc to flexible savings, so it is earning interest on their platform. However, if you will send your funds to gain interest, make sure the platform is very trustworthy like binance. Because even if they will be hacked, they have SAFU. So you have insurance with your funds. Other exchanges offering this kind of service, you need to be careful as you have no assurance that your funds will be returned safely once you decided to get out your funds or someone hacked their platform.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fee has brought dogecoin to limelight on: April 30, 2021, 09:32:43 PM
This feels the same as due to high gas fees on Ethereum, projects are moving to Binance smart chain Grin . Not sure what will be the limit to this high fee issue. If things will not be easy in near future, the trend may change for ETH.
But for Dogecoin, I see the reason in price increase because of more hype than BTC high fees. It went directly 4x in a small period of time which shows the increase in interest in it from investors.

Basically, it is owed to Elon Musk's tweeting about doge why it pumps its price in the market. Nothing more. Because in my opinion, it is not because its lower fees that doge comes to light. Exchanges are still charging like 20 - 50 doge (approx $6.4-16 at the rate of $0.32), so it is not in any way cheap. There are cheaper alts you can use if you are after for low transfer fees like TRX, XRP, EOS or LTC. Let us admit that it is mainly because of Elon why doge is in its position right now. So for those holders, you need to be careful because once he is finished with this alt, it will go down again.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Cappasity - platform for creating, embedding and selling 3D digital assets on: April 30, 2021, 04:08:38 AM
-
Cappasity and Victoria Andreyanova held the first immersive fashion show in Russia. The new collection by the brand “Victoria Andreyanova” was presented in the format of AR holograms.
-

Aside from these developments, are you going to be listed in at least another exchange aside from kucoin? Also, is it possible that you can post the companies or organizations that are currently availing your services with their corresponding website? It would be good to see those companies using your services. This will also give other companies good reference of your product.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Token (ERC20) to Binance Smart Chain (BEP20) on: April 29, 2021, 10:33:53 PM
No, definitely you can't send your ERC20 tokens to BSC network directly from your own private wallet, you need help from bridge services for doing that action. Although they have the same address but both of them are on a different chain, if you happen to send it then your ERC20 tokens won't be shown on BSC, the worst case might you will lose the tokens.
its true, every project which is migrate to binance smart chain now building bridge. so trader could swap or convert their eth token to bsc. as we know swapping eth token in dex like uniswap need alot of gas fee and much people complaint on it. bridge was the solution for all this , so its why binance and dex in bsc will growth beat ethereum dex.

One thing to make sure you are doing the right thing is ask the team themselves if they are supporting the BSC network for their token. Normally, if a project, an ERC20 token switch to BSC or make a bridge to BSC network, they will give announcements to its holders. And they will also give tutorials on how to transfer their token to BSC network. Remember, it is not the first time someone asked regarding this. But better communicate straight to the token dev or the group channel as they can direct you in a much direct way.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: chances of bank closing account if you buy bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 08:45:42 PM
Your best bet is probably to head over to the local section, and ask about the specific bank you're planning on using. The answer to your question will pretty much vary with country to country and with bank to bank.

That's the right thing to do. Because each country has their own regulations and approach towards crypto. So no one can give you a specific answer unless you will tell where are you currently residing. It is better to ask your co-users in your local section as some of them are already old here and one way or another, some of them have had experienced dealing with your local banks. But if not, you can always use your friend google and search the bank laws in your country towards crypto. Nowadays, it is easy to get a hold of info because you can use the search engine anytime.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TBD on: April 29, 2021, 09:15:50 AM
Hey everyone,

Quick update:

We now have two indexes live (and 7 more to come over the coming weeks):

https://coincheckup.com/coins/bitflowers
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/bitFlowers-PETAL

We've also launched a bounty for YouTube content creators over on the Discord server [winners get 25,000 / 12,500 bitFlowers (PETAL) coins]:

https://discord.gg/nxGju4nMb3

-
What's next?

7 more indexes, 2 new exchanges, and then deployment of the mobile wallet.

How about listing in coingecko or cmc? Was looking for PETAL in both sites but you are not yet listed. Anyway, if you are busy with other developmental plans, that's fine. But maybe in the near future, would be great if we can see PETAL in one of these sites. These are the 2 common sites where users look for the details of the coin.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 28, 2021, 11:59:33 PM
Elon Musk and his tweets have a huge role in the rise of Doge Coin. We can say that until this time, the doge coin was known so much, thanks to Elon Musk. If he doesn't keep on tweeting and explaining his doge coin, the doge coin will hardly rise. I guess people invested because they trust elon musk.
Without this hype, DOGE will remain as a meme but since Elon changes the perspective of many investors with regards to DOGE, it was able to land on the top and until now the hype is there and Elon keeps on hyping DOGE.

If you’re a scalpers or short term trader, you can make a lot of money with DOGE if you follow the trend, its pump and dump trend good enough to make money. I’m sure traders are working hard already with DOGE, keep monitoring.

For now, I don't think Elon is stopping to promote this coin. But til then, holders should make sure to get profit out of it before he got tired of tweeting about this coin. Remember, his support is not forever. Sooner or later, he will find another interesting coin to support with. And no one knows for sure which one. Just be safe also with your investments on this coin. Unless, the doge team will find a very good use case that can sustain the interest of crypto users.
1178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To keep coin long term on: April 28, 2021, 11:24:55 PM
My ask is what will be your advices about keeping a coin long term ? Which coin is worth for it?
Only currencies that have an active team, continuous development, and an idea to solve an existing problem in the blockchain or the world in general.
Most altcoins fail this test, and even good currencies will fail to maintain the price, so if your goal is just price, buy bitcoin.
Some altcoins may be a suitable option for a year or several years.

The OP should start understanding the bitcoin market first. Because going straight to other alts will be a very challenging part to understand all these projects. And if he has already the grasp of what's going on with bitcoin market, he can check top alts first, at least more than likely, their market is already established as well as its use case. But it is hard to suggest about which coin to hold long term as it depends on the user how "long term" is he talking about, his goals about his profits and other factors. In time, he will understand more about the existence of these coins and which ones are worth to keep.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BNB is at it's peak price? on: April 28, 2021, 09:09:26 PM
At the moment it has a triangle chart, it is possible that if the price of Bitcoin continues to rise we can see an eventual laterality of BNB, but the bearish are acting stealthily, it may be that due to the high demand for BNB it has not fallen As the other altcoins did, as the RSI is in positive territory, a price hike is very likely:
-
Quote
A breakout and close above the triangle will indicate that demand exceeds supply, and that could result in the start of the next leg of the uptrend, which could reach $808.57.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/price-analysis-4-28-btc-eth-bnb-xrp-ada-doge-dot-uni-ltc-bch?_ga=2.53070382.708585949.1619490222-1822102485.1580788659

It is very likely that the price of BNB of a bullish turn and put in a new ATH, if things continue like this it will be one of the most traded currencies in the market.

From the time the OP posted this thread, which BNB was in $500 level, BNB already surpassed this level few times as it has roller-coaster ride also, which follows btc trend. And in my opinion also, if btc will continue to rise and so top alts like BNB. So the $500 is not the peak for BNB, it will be a lot more. Wonder if the OP cash out his coins?
Also, the usage of BSC network is growing because they are offering cheaper fees. So yes, BNB may emerge as one of the most traded cryptocurrencies in the market. Maybe even small to medium exchanges will list BNB for this to be available to more crypto users.
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tokyo-Based Game Maker Nexon Purchased $100M in Bitcoin on: April 28, 2021, 12:51:46 PM
Nexon has announced that it has purchased about 1,717 Bitcoin (BTC) for $100 million. In addition, Nexon is a Tokyo-based video game maker that becomes the latest publicly listed technology firm in Japan.
whats ur thought on this..?
Read more on Tokyo-Based Game Maker Nexon Purchased $100M in Bitcoin

That's a lot of BTC and surely that would affect the market well. the price has returned back to $55,154.08 I wonder if this event will hold the price to that high until it will reach the $60,000 mark again. Because this is not a small amount you know. a huge amount like this will make the market rise if there will be some big company will follow it up as well.

Based from the article, Nexon, "the firm bought BTC at an estimated amount of $58,226 per crypto". Including fees and expenses. So seems that they bought it at a higher price maybe OTC. This is a very good addition to companies that are holding large amounts of bitcoin. It also shows that companies are not losing their confidence over bitcoin. Even if they saw it dipped below 50k, still they bought it at a higher price. I believe there are also other companies buying their own bitcoin holdings but not publicly announcing it.
