1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your predictions for the state of Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 06, 2024, 11:31:50 PM
~Snip~
Bitcoin's value was dropped because of the bad events that took place in the world and in the crypto-world in 2022 and in the start of 2023 Bitcoin was below $17k but by the end of 2023 Bitcoin was already trading over $44k and I believe that Bitcoin's price will be increased in this year 2024.

I'm very optimistic about Bitcoin's price increase and I also hope that we may see Bitcoin over $70k before the end of 2024. There's a chance of having Bitcoin at $55k before April 2024 but it will most probably reach that value before July 2024. The bull run has already been started and it will get intense over time.
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 06, 2024, 10:32:08 PM
The winner is a very lucky person because turning $50 into $42M is not for everyone. I'm happy to see that sportsbet.io paid the winner the mega jackpot that he has won. That's why I always say that luck plays a very important role in the life of a gambler if someone is lucky then he/she can win so much that's beyond someone's thinking and if someone isn't that lucky then they won't win a lot in gambling.

Sportsbet.io has given that player the happiest moment of his life and I'm happy to see something winning that huge amount. I'm pretty sure that in future we may hear more news of same nature and a few more players may win huge rewards for betting online.
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 06, 2024, 10:24:55 PM
Didn't try this casino yet but one thing for sure if they are didn't ask some KYC then they will have may customer will play with them cause some gamblers always thinking that they can hide their identity if they still anonymous. . But there are some casino ask KYC in withdraw cause they found out that you are doing something against their rules and regulations and that's the reason they are asking some KYC in withdrawal.
Many of the casinos offer that no KYC thing these days but only when they don't have enough players or the players won't win a lot of money at their sites. As soon a player starts winning money in $1000 or more then they will change their policies and add that KYC thing in their terms and conditions.

The KYC is a norm now and the established casinos and exchanges will continue to ask for KYC whenever they need it but a new setup often uses terms like No-KYC to convince users that you're not going to be asked for KYC details even in future. But, they can change their policies anytime and no one can stop them or do anything against them.

I believe the KYC enabled casinos aren't bad at all because they're asking for KYC but surely one would prefer a non-KYC casino if he/she thinks a lot about his/her privacy.
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: PvP Games in Casinos | What's your thoughts? on: January 06, 2024, 10:15:11 PM
I'd like to see a real PvP game in a casino, like a puzzle game, or a pinball, or some kind of tug of war.
I'm very sure that most of the casinos won't be offering such games where basically a player will play against another player and the winner may get 90% from the losses of the loser and 10% may go to casino for arranging such games. Most of the PvP games are just named as PvP because the users aren't actually playing against each other, they're are basically playing against the environment, however they aren't alone as others are also playing the same game against the environment.
1165  Other / Meta / Re: Decentralize Bitcointalk on: January 06, 2024, 10:03:58 PM
I think you may be misunderstanding the point. He mentioned Bitcoin as an example of a sufficiently decentralized network compared to other payment networks. He is correct, though. A decentralized network can never be "lighter" than a centralized infrastructure. Why else do you think the entire internet is built on a simple client-server basis? The concept of decentralized networks wasnt invented yesterday, you know?  And you are probably confusing the concepts of a decentralized network with a distributed network, which can be "lighter" with proper load balancing.
Yeah, a decentralized network has to have many working nodes that can be anywhere in the world in order to perform the functions that they are designed to perform but in a distributed network there's a central node that controls the rest of the nodes and that's why it's way energy efficient than a decentralized network.

The main benefit of decentralized network is that if one node somehow fails working then others will do the job without any issues but the problem with such system is the energy consumption as it mainly consumes way more energy than a distributed network. If I'm not wrong then in a distributed network if main node stops working then other notes may not be able to perform its job.
1166  Other / Meta / Re: Old account revival on: January 06, 2024, 08:49:07 PM
Looks like the ETH one was posted by whoever took my account to get the bounty for my new Russian Sig!
I think you can still recover your account if you have access to your main e-mail that you used the register the account on the forum. I don't know if you will get access to your account or not but I still suggest you to try to recover your account from your main e-mail address. The chances are low but still there are some chances.
1167  Other / Meta / Re: Why was the gambling risk warning removed? on: January 06, 2024, 08:39:55 PM
I believe Xal0lex has given you a best answer and it's better to lock this thread now so that no more replies or posts can be created here. I have confirmed the warning myself and it's present on the investor-based games child board but you'll only see this warning if you open any topic in that board without clicking on a topic on that board you won't see any such warnings. I never knew about that warning myself but I have tested it after reading the post of the Xal0lex and I believe that post solved the issue of this thread.
1168  Other / Meta / Re: What new changes would you like to see on Bitcointalk in 2024 ? on: January 06, 2024, 08:27:55 PM
It’s been said many times before but a new higher rank would be cool. There are too many mediocre accounts at Legendary rank. We need a new, more elite one to separate truly elite members from the standard Legendary members.

I would suggest 3000 Activity and maybe 5000 Received Merit as the qualification numbers.

Rank title - Elite or something like that (open to better suggestions).
I agree with you on that new higher rank creation. I think instead of one there should be two higher ranks that may be more than legendary rank. One of those should be titled as Elite and the other one should be titled as Mythic or Mythical. I believe the highest rank should be Mythical and the members who have 5000 merits plus 3000 activity should get to that rank and the Elite rank should be for the members who may have at least 3000 merits and 2000 activity. That would be the best new change in the Bitcointalk.
1169  Other / Archival / Re: Looking for a pro developer! on: January 05, 2024, 10:02:55 PM
If he is trolling here too, it would be a terrible move worth tagging, deliberately wasting people's time and efforts is as bad as scamming them, imagine someone who spends a few hours or days looking into the services, analyzing it, commutating with other developers to set price and timeline only to get a replay from him saying "haha, I was trolling".
I hope he's not trolling because such type of trolling especially in services board is not good at all. Many people might be wondering that the guy is really looking for a professional developer to build a site that would be similar to the one the OP has requested in the main thread. It would be a pretty hard job to create as website and service like that which OP is requesting and I believe it would cost him a lot of money to have a site like that.

If digaran this thread is created for trolling purpose then kindly lock it as it would be more harmful for someone who may get serious about doing the task but if you're seriously finding a professional developer to create a website and service like that for you then that's another thing.
1170  Economy / Gambling / Re: PoorBot Review! on: January 05, 2024, 09:02:21 PM
Thank you so much Poorbot for liking the review, I'm happy to see that the review is helping other members. I would also like to thank Haunebu and Renampun for liking the review. I am pretty sure that after reading the review and watching the video tutorial everyone will be able use the Poorbot without any issue.
1171  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 05, 2024, 08:23:06 PM
I'm also surprised by seeing the betting activity of the users in the crash game at BCgame. More than 3k players are playing the Crash game at BCgame now.
BC.Game's crash is really entertaining and that's the main reason to have 2k to 3k players who play that game. I believe they have spent some good amount in marketing of their platform and that's the main reason for having that many players playing that game. Marketing truly plays a very important role in gaining that many players.

They're not like other casinos who don't spend money on marketing because I have found their advertisement on many platforms and also on some block explorers. By the way their crash game is quite entertaining and when a player starts playing that games then they almost get deeply involved in it.
1172  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 05, 2024, 02:30:17 PM
You can trust me or you can't. That's up to you. I know i said the truth and my account was compromised. That's all. Now you do whatever you feel right. I have no way to prove myself. So why even try?
If you know a way to prove it, tell me. I'll try to follow the instructions.
All I would say is that it takes a lot of time to build some trust in a community but a few wrong steps are going to be enough to ruin that trust. This happened to you and to two other users and I have also noticed that a few weeks ago a good user with almost 16k posts had faced some account hacking related issues, a malware link was posted from that user's account and which caused problems for him. Now 2FA is added to the site and I believe it's a better security feature to protect your account from unauthorized access.

You have been a very controversial user for sometime and that's another reason why others aren't able to trust you. I would say that be a good member of the forum and try to take all security measure that you can and also try not to make any mistakes intentionally or unintentionally in order to get some trust. But, I fear that lost trust can't be regained easily, you'll have to prove yourself and stick with your statements.

1173  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 05, 2024, 04:34:12 AM
Exactly. Just because someone claims their account was hacked doesnt mean its true. That tjtonmoy character looks particularly suspicious. He has a history of lying and cheating in contests and bounties. I do not believe in his story.
Although, you're right with your doubts but the story he shared seems a little bit informative at least for the ones who use same password on many platforms. It's always better to use different passwords for different platforms and one should avoid using same password or similar passwords on different platforms. I'm not saying that whatever the guy claimed might be correct exactly but it's a matter of concern and that's why I believe others should learn from it.

In 3rd case I also found something strange and I believe that someone else might have used his account to place that loan request as in the 1st case, but in 3rd case the user's account wasn't compromised at all, and I believe someone around him might knows his computer's password and that person might have asked for a loan instead of the real owner of the account.
1174  Other / Meta / Re: Admin/Mods: Please ban "jvanname" on: January 05, 2024, 04:20:12 AM
You could be totally right. Every claim you're making could turn out to be true. However, nobody will want to work with you given your extremely poor attitude and borderline psychotic behavior. Its completely unprofessional and uncompelling. Therefore, you have doomed yourself and the future of your project. For as smart as you claim to be, its a pity you haven't yet figured this out.
That's true even someone with 100's of skills and degrees behave in that way then no body would ever want to deal with such person. I believe a professional degree especially a PhD can be useful only for a person if he/she knows how to treat others in a well manner.

Your degree won't change anything but your behavior does, and as humans we want to work with those who are calm and they can understand things. The ones with egoistic mindset are just living in their own dreamland and no body want to work with such people.

1175  Other / Archival / Re: Raise.wf #1 in social media on: January 05, 2024, 01:50:55 AM
It's the #1 in social media that none of us has ever heard about. Is it #1 in your dreams or in real world because in real world we haven't heard about the site and we don't really want to be the first ones to visit and use this site. I think you should create a better introduction of your website and the services it provides. Don't use clickbait type of titles, they won't help you on this forum at least.
1176  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA added on: January 04, 2024, 10:51:49 PM
Except when the phone's clock gets out of sync by as little as a couple of seconds, then the 2FA app will give a skewered result. Connecting to the net exposes the phone to hacking. (Tin foil hat moment)
In most cases Phone's clock never gets out of sync even by a second but if that happens then the user can fix the time manually without any issues. Connecting to internet surely exposes the phones to hackers and for that reason it's always better to use a phone with a Linux based distribution.

A phone like Pine-Phone supports many of the open-source operating systems. You can also use a Linux distribution like Ubuntu touch on Google Pixel Phones, Xiaomi phones, and Oneplus phones. The open-source operating systems based on Linux are still safe and hackers would have to do a lot of work to find vulnerabilities in those operating systems. If fact they don't because they don't really care about less than 0.00001% of members who use Linux based open-source operating systems on their phones.
1177  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: January 04, 2024, 10:36:48 PM
They (people) will know how to not fall in a phishing site. And new mixers are not usually targeted by phishing TLDs.
Yeah, the ones who use mixers probably have some good technical background and they won't fall for the phishing sites in most cases. You're also right the phishers don't really target new mixers because they believe that the users won't use the new mixers. Their main target is always going to be a reputed mixer that has been on the market for quite some time.

Most of the mixers that were on this forum have shifted their threads on another forum. Who knows in future people may find trusted mixers on this forum. The people will always do research before using any of the mixers and as long as their research takes them to a good place then they might not face those phishing sites.

1178  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator application for Polish local board on: January 04, 2024, 10:29:02 PM
I'm not a member of the Polish board but I think the OP deserves some attention from Theymos. OP is one of the best candidates for that board and everyone should agree with me. I don't know if it's the correct way to apply for a moderator or not but if Theymos reads such posts then I hope he may also consider OP's application.

I don't know if my support means anything or not but if it means anything then count me in. I support the OP and I want to see how much support the OP will get on this thread from his own local board members. Best of luck from my side. I believe you're a good candidate to become a moderator. But, the final decision is of course in the hands of Theymos.
1179  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA added on: January 04, 2024, 10:21:23 PM
Wow, such a great news, noticed the change when I was logging in.
It's really an awesome feature for those who prefer security. We all should be thankful to PowerGlove for doing the hard work to make this feature possible on this forum. Theymos has also done a great job by implementing it into the forum. I believe it's the best update for the security of the accounts. The guy PowerGlove really deserves a separate badge for this amazing thing.
1180  Economy / Services / Re: Signature space for rent! Taking offers on: January 04, 2024, 07:35:03 PM
Hhampuz is one of the most trusted and most reputable member of this forum. Anyone who rents his signature space would get best exposure on the forum. He's also among the oldest and most reputable managers of the forum. I would say the one who rents his signature space will surely get best results. I highly recommend him!
