11601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to Protect Its Users From Cryptojacking on: November 06, 2018, 07:44:43 AM
Google published a blog on Monday announcing its move towards protecting its users from Cryptojacking. The technology company has planned some changes to the way Chrome handles extensions that require extensive permissions. The search engine is tightening the rules for developers distributing extensions via the Chrome Web Store.

More protection is good, However i hope google won't censor good projects because of that new policy restriction on web store.
For now their webstore is really full of suspicious softwares, so it might be a good move
11602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: Effecting Change and Leading Digital Asset Adoption on: November 06, 2018, 07:18:21 AM

XRP Balance is a new site that provides an XRP price prediction algorithm.  XDEX might eventually be one of the largest exchanges in Brazil, and the Swiss Investment Fund announces that they'll handle custody of XRP for banks.

Xdex promises a lot, but delivered very little so far.

Xdex is a subsidiary of the biggest broker in Brazil, XP.
XP is announcing xdex for years. However, when xdex came live, it's not a real exchange. It doesn't let you buy bitcoin or cryptocurrencies by itself. You buy a fund that they manage, almost a bitcoin fund.

It's having a bad reception from Brazilian bitcoin community
11603  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: How to harrass billionaires? what's your ideas before choping their heads off? on: November 06, 2018, 06:18:21 AM

A lot of what he says is actually true.

What he says is true? That billionaire pays me to protect them?  Or that  I seek enslavement because i have a smartphone? Or Doo I seek enslavement because i recognized the value of smartphone invention?

What you said is also off topic.

Merit system has it flaws, but it's better than the activity system.
And a merit requirement would  certainly block those kind of users who are rude and offending other people when they have no clue ehat they are talking about.
11604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shorting Bitcoin Cash after Hard-Fork? on: November 06, 2018, 12:42:47 AM
bitcoin cash is highly manipulated. Those pumps and dumps are too strong.

It was pushed to 0.5 btc, just go fall to 0.1 few weeks later... Very dangerous

What was this fork about? The real bitcoin cash?

11605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters are only a part of the problem, but but the whole problem on: November 06, 2018, 12:33:25 AM
Bounties are not the reason for the bear Market.

Most of ico have worthless tokens because they do not have a working product or a reason for the token to exist.

They just create tokens and give them bounty hunters and investors, who believe they are worth something, but most of the times aren't worth anything.

You need to research a lot and keep eyes open tp find a good project, which tokens are worth anything
11606  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Bitcoin capitalisation calculation on: November 05, 2018, 01:34:36 AM
The number used  now in coinmarketcap is around 17,360 million circulating supply.

That's because 17.360 btc were mined so far, so 17.360mi btc exist.
I made a topic about it when the 17millionth btc was mined, sort of btc anniversary.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3799898.0;prev_next=next

I think that numberbeing used to calculate capitalization may be incorrect (because of lost btc),... However, that's how it's calculated in stock market too.

Lots of people who own shares of companies in stock market dies every year and those share become "dormant"  for years or even lost forever too. And they also use that metric there.

It's innacurate but that's what we have now.. .
11607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / About claiming BCD Fork on: November 04, 2018, 07:50:05 PM
I was trying to claim BCD (Bitcoin Diamond) fork. https://btcd.io/

It's an old bitcoin wallet, without any funds now, just some worthless forks...

But I couldn't find any reasonable wallet, which would allow to redeem funds using a private key. Only Bitpie, which said that my balance is too low to pay miners fee (which is not).

Have any of you guys able to claim this fork? Which wallet did you use?
11608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptopia on: November 04, 2018, 02:18:54 PM
Unfortunately, cryptopia is a shit exchange.

I had to use it once to dump some past ico investment... I was able to login in just once, dumped my coins, and they never let me login again. Too many "safety" precautions, which don't let even me login. Terrible service
11609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does making investment right now is still safe? on: November 04, 2018, 02:17:04 PM
As of now, I have seen and heard of many ICO projects that turns out to be a scam and some of it is pure legit ICO but after the conclusion of the sale, the developers is gone without a trace. Now my question, is it still safe to invest? And if it is, where can I find a good ICO that is good for investment and good in terms of bounty campaign. Please can anyone help me.

It was never safe to invest in ico, and it will never be.

Even IPO, which are the regulated stock market ico equivalent, are highly risk.

For high returns, a high risk is needed.

It's hard to find good ico. You need to research past good projects, take a look at the teams... See if new ico have any relationship to past good projects is a good sign
11610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: summary on Proof of Work on: November 04, 2018, 12:01:26 PM
This puzzle consists in scanning for a value (called Nonce) that when hashed, the hash begins with a number of zeros.

From this line it seems that the only hash input is the nonce. However, from my understanding, all block data is hashed. The only variable in this block of data is the nonce, therefore it can change the hash output.

The difficult in finding that nonce increases exponentially as more zeros are required by the block. Difficult is adjusted so that one block is mined every 10 minutes.

This sentence would be more clear if you would introduce the frequent term difficulty. Optionally, you can add that the difficulty only changes every 2016 blocks or average two weeks.

Despite this, I still find your summary very informative and accurate.

Thanks, just added your suggestions

There are far too many details, and I try to keep this as simple as possible
11611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative ways to make money in crypto on: November 04, 2018, 05:10:40 AM
Pós coins may be a solution for what you said.

However you need to buy some coin to stake it.  As we are currently in a bear Market, it may not be profitable to hold altcoins for now to stake them... As you will buy a lot to stake, and receive only a small percentage of it per month. If the value decreases, you will lose money

11613  Economy / Economics / Re: ECONOMIC ANALYSIS/RESEARCH POLL: Cryptocurrency replacing fiat in the future? on: November 04, 2018, 01:49:42 AM
They "will work in parallel"

I believe Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be like a payment method and a store of value (bitcoin).

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (like XRP) allow people to send the money to another country, without taxes, fees, very fast and secure. Bitcoin also flatten currency relations between different people, allowing faster and cheaper payment method worldwide between people from different countries.

However, I believe bitcoin will never replace cash.

Cash is physical, anonymous, touchable. Bitcoin will never be like that.

However, it was not designed to replace cash and other fiat currency. Only break their "monopoly"
11614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any chance that bitcoin prices will increase by the end of this year? on: November 03, 2018, 06:26:20 PM
Bitcoin will bounce once most of the people loae their hopes.

It will be unexpected.

For now, we are on a bear market. Every news is bad news.
11615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: November 03, 2018, 03:57:50 PM
I'm interest in trading and I want to know more about it. So please give me your valuable ideas and opinions. As a beginner I would like to know that Is there any special ways to do trading without losses or in a manner which minimize the losses. Not only that please tell me Is it possible to start trading with a small amount of money at the beginning.
Hope you will help me.

trade without loses or risk?

Easy: go to coinmarketcap and print all btc charts.

Then build a small time machine. Go back in time, and buy low sell high, according yo your chart

Done!
11616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: .0023 sell every 20 seconds on Coinbase on: November 03, 2018, 03:51:16 PM
It's a bot, possible from a whale which is bumping. As said above, they cannot sell it all at once, as the price would drop. Every 20 seconds will not cause an impact on the price
11617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coinbase launches support for BAT (Basic Attention Token) on: November 03, 2018, 03:10:38 PM
This is one of the coins I like best: Basic Attention Token.

Quote
https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinbase-launches-support-for-basic-attention-token-bat

Major U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced it is accepting inbound transfers of Basic Attention Token (BAT) to Coinbase Pro, according to a blog post published Nov. 2.

Coinbase added support for BAT tokens on its Coinbase Pro platform, while it will enable trading on the BAT/USD order book only when sufficient liquidity is established. Coinbase notes that BAT trading will be available in most jurisdictions, except for residents of the state of New York.

Basic Attention Token (BAT) is a token created by Brave Browser team.
BAT aims to fix some problems related to internet advertisement, mostly monopolized by Google and Facebook.

Brave Browser is a browser focused on privacy, and it comes with a build-in ad-block.
You get some BAT while using Brave browser and watching/seeing adds. You can choose which companies you would like to see ads, and which you don't. When you see ads, you receive BAT Token.

Very good idea.
11618  Local / Brasil / Re: BOLSONARO ELEITO NOVO PRESIDENTE DO BRASIL on: November 01, 2018, 05:54:56 PM

11619  Other / Meta / altcoins x ico . different boards? on: November 01, 2018, 05:29:34 PM
I noticed that some campaigns/bounties are paying with coins that are already listed in exchanges. Such as bitcore, ethereum, byteballs...

As those campaigns are posted in the Bounties (altcoins) session, they are hard to find. How do you find them? I usually just try to read good managers latest posts to keep track about what is going on.. but they are entirely different campaigns compared to ico tokens.

Ico tokens are worthless most of the time. You don't know how much they are paying, as a 90% up or down is expected...
Altcoins already listed on exchanges are almost the same as btc. You can receive them and immediately swap to btc.

Maybe a different session for those altcoins would be a good idea?
11620  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Brazil Presidential Candidate Jair Bolsonaro Is Stabbed on: November 01, 2018, 04:47:55 PM

But surely you don't really think democracy can be defended with guns given to the population in general? not even in Brazil.

I believe it can help to overthrow a dictatorship. And help protesters.
In Venezuela, Maduro just smashes the population because they are unarmed. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-44575599

Well, this is complete chaos and a civil war. That's what they live there... Arming our population now is just an insurance.

I am not much into Brazil's politics, so I can't comment on Lula's views. I know that the right wing parties in many parts of the world, i.e. in Spain are trying to establish a link between socialism and Venezuela in order to scare the voters, and that includes frequent headlines about the human disaster in the country. However, they seem to forget Norway, with a socialist party in power for ages and one of the best systems in the world.

This link in Spain, socialism x venezuela is not entirely true, you are right. As the link between Norway socialism and Brazil is not true either. These are two very different kind of socialism. (Personally I believe they are the same, but in different stages, like the first time lula was president... but this is another discussions which is not worth now)

Norway has a socialist party in government, but they do not have a socialist economy.
Their "socialist" policies are basically abortion, gay marriage, wealth distribution, public health and schools etc... Which are not socialists at all, and most people do not have problems with those agendas (I don't have)

They are not nationalizing private companies for example. The socialists in Europe are educated and intelligent.

Norway is one of the most libertarian economies in the world.
Brazil has a socialist economy. Venezuela and Cuba too.

Check it out:
https://www.heritage.org/index/ranking

Norway is 23th most libertarian economy in the world.

Brazil is 153 and Venezuela is 179, followed by Cuba 178 and North Korea 180.

And Lula is not on the TV saying good thinks about Norway economy, or Norway socialists policies. He is  saying that Maduro is doing a "wonderful job".

Our main fight now was to keep this Venezuela ghost away from us. I believe that in the next elections we may have a more moderated candidate.
In the past I voted for Lula (twice). I was not always "right wing".. but the situation here is just so alarming that our country elected this far right wing candidate...
