11721  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: "Fun game" to earn BTC on: October 29, 2015, 09:20:51 AM
Alright I'm here now and ready to reply to you guys , keep giving some ideas etc ... and if you agree with someone idea tell me as-well to know what I should focus on exactly .

I was checking the Magic The Gathering game and from I see it's game of cards ? I never heard of it but looks intresting so I will give it a shoot and I see .
Note that you can give ideas about 3D games , no problem on that .
11722  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Australian buying bitcoin on: October 29, 2015, 08:18:41 AM
i can't find info right now, but perhaps coinimal is supporting australia, you can check them, because they offer paypal too if you need to sell bitcoin

Coinimal is only for europeans only as far as I know so they don't support Australia .
11723  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.5 released on: October 29, 2015, 06:39:28 AM
I have been using Electrum 2.3.2 for a long time. I have no issues with it. Because of the "Low-S values", I need to upgrade my Electrum. I downloaded 2.5.2 setup.exe for windows and it failed to start, saying something about "settings are wrong and need to reinstall". I tried 2.5.1 and it's the same.

I found this thread about "Electrum 2.4.4 and higher crushes at start on WinXP SP3 x86":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1219257.0

I also have Electrum on WindowsXP. I believe this is a known problem. There is a solution suggested in the above thread. I could install this "python" and download the python version of Electrum. But this is not I want to do for long term. Is Electrum going to drop support for Windows XP, or this is just a temporary glitch and will be fixed in later versions?

Thanks!

Python is a programming language , and Electrum is written on Python so you will have to download it if you want to get this working , same goes for Multibit HD for example , it's written in Java so you will have to download Java if you want to get it working .
11724  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: "Fun game" to earn BTC on: October 29, 2015, 06:34:31 AM
Would you consider creating a game of RPG on mobile phone? Maybe like clash of clans LOL. Tho I think it requires time and big efforts but it's really a fun game.
Also there is this game called Oh! Crop in google play, the rewards are in bitcoin. It's fun but reaching the leaderboard can quite be hard, I'd like another game just like that where the coins in the game is real btc and can be withdrawn. Cheesy

@All thanks for the ideas , keep it coming and I will be reading them and seeing them closely once I come back from school later.
@Amacar2 , I would cconsider making mobile phone games but something like Clash of clans would be probably hard and take a lot of time, I was speaking about few simple games fun but addictive that make the player always come back (as I said either exists or not)
11725  Economy / Economics / Re: What really happened to Mtgox ? on: October 29, 2015, 06:33:13 AM
well the CEO somehow "snatched" the bitcoin out of the exchange hot and cold wallet and claimed that it was hacked. He is the CEO he got the trick to spread it away without being noticed. We can track where that amount is going but the point is what can we do now

Well if it's the case and you can track the address then it wouldn't be hard for intelligence agencies or something to track and get the IP I believe from where it was spent (if it was spent )
11726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What do you think about this comment ? on: October 28, 2015, 06:55:26 PM
I was watching this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_hBhymFfm8 then was checking the comments and I found this :

I'd like to hear from you and what do you think about this comment ? is he right or wrong (on the last part )?
11727  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gemini Hits daily volume of 1000btc on: October 28, 2015, 06:47:05 PM

That's nothing if we compare it with Chinese exchanges , they should at least reach something like 40k BTC to be better then Bitstamp  , Itbit , Bitfinex & Coinbase .
In my opinion the only reason that Gemini don't have big volume is because it's only in USA , they don't even allow you to register which is not the case for the other trading platforms .
11728  Bitcoin / Project Development / "Fun game" to earn BTC on: October 28, 2015, 05:10:22 PM
Throw your ideas with a game that already exist or game that doesn't exist and you would like to play it to earn some BTC . (Note that it won't contain any gambling though).

If the game exists simply tell me which one is it , if not then explain the idea (it would be better if it's with pictures etc ... ) .
I already have in mind 2048 (which already exists I believe however they don't really pay , and I have "Deal or no Deal" idea which is based on the TV show for those who know it .
11729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Safest method to double your coins? on: October 28, 2015, 05:01:43 PM

11730  Economy / Economics / Re: What really happened to Mtgox ? on: October 28, 2015, 03:43:47 PM
Turnout out to be a really big Ponzi scam. All Ponzi schemes have to end one day.

That's not what I asked , I'm getting that part .
I'm asking how and why people  wasn't able to trace the coins that was stolen if they was controlling some of them when they got hacked  ?
11731  Economy / Economics / What really happened to Mtgox ? on: October 28, 2015, 03:24:20 PM
ok , sometimes and when I'm on the economics section people keep saying that the price will go low because Mtgox coins will be dumped , on the other hand people say that they don't know where are the coins ... so how do you know that there is coins actually ?
Also , how you guys (users of Mtgox) don't know where are yours coins , I know that adresses on exchanges aren't the same as on the wallets however can't people track them for example ? I mean each one of you take his adress on his account , can't you see where the coins went or moved ? even small amounts u had

11733  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum stopped loading on linux system on: October 28, 2015, 01:39:19 PM
electrum 1.9.7-1

Then it's normal probably and that's the reason . Make sure you have the seed of electrum so you recover your wallet and do this on the terminal

Install dependencies:

sudo apt-get install python-qt4 python-pip
Install Electrum:

sudo pip install https://download.electrum.org/2.5.2/Electrum-2.5.2.tar.gz

11734  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum stopped loading on linux system on: October 28, 2015, 01:19:49 PM

He meant Electrum version and not Ubuntu version most likely .
11735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about vanity addresses? on: October 28, 2015, 11:36:26 AM
Just generated one:

1ButthisoneisREALLYLooooong33ixxX

based on:

Quote
But this one is REALLY long

Aren't those long addresses easier to crack (to get their private keys) ? I mean they are not random as the one the wallets generates .
11736  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling Bitcoins in London for Cash on: October 28, 2015, 11:32:02 AM
Hi,

In London and am looking to sell Bitcoin for 1.5K cash at market rate is this possible? Any Bitcoin ATM's that have zero fees when selling?

Cheers

What's in it for them if their ATM's are without fees ? that wouldn't make a lot of sense . You can simply post here on currency exchange section and find someone that accepts your terms , I mean it's London I'm pretty sure you will find someone , otherwise you can use Western Union if you can't meet face to face , Just make sure that the buyer is trusted if you are going to trade in the forums or use Escrow .
11737  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC Site That Accepts Debit Cards? on: October 28, 2015, 11:29:15 AM
Trying to get bitcoins from my Visa debit card.

Virwox.com should be fine , I'm not sure about the fees though I know that virwox have high fees but now not sure how much exactly .
Virwox.com is a legit website with a high fees but it seems they only accepts paypal funds and not credit/debit cards.

You are wrong . They accept visa , MasterCard , Skrill and Paysafecard card Ukash and much more ... here is the deposit page when you make an account .

11738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rally on: October 28, 2015, 11:26:05 AM
I want to see it 10k $ honestly , of course not now but in few years , but if we are speaking about now then it would be 400$ and I don't want it to be below then 300$ , It took us too much to reach it so there is no coming back !
11739  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: October 28, 2015, 11:24:02 AM
Blockchain.info was down and I guess this is why the API wasn't working and  people didn't receive their payments , you just have to wait guys , no need to panic or anything .
