11761  Local / Майнеры / Re: Не майните в Белоруссии on: August 23, 2021, 08:50:41 AM

11763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do poker and sports betting skills correlate? on: August 22, 2021, 05:05:07 PM
I think its just a coincidence and there's no correlation.
Poker and sports betting are two different games with different ways to have a chance to win. Instead of correlation, I'd think these players are just knowledgeable on the games that they're interested in to play. Thats why skills and strategy are always the edge of a gambler to win.

If you had read some of the thread, instead of coming here to say what you think and that's it, you would have realized that there are correlated skills. For example, a mix between intuition and probability calculation, bankroll management and emotion control are common and key in both betting games.

What you have listed is too general skills to claim any correlation based on them. If you follow this logic, then investments, poker, forex, etc. have a high correlation (which is actually not the case). To state the correlation between poker and betting, it is tedious to identify some more specific skills/patterns.
11764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 22, 2021, 04:53:03 PM

Woah Ronaldo and Chiesa in the bench.
Chiesa is not in the best condition he will probably play in the second half.

Ronaldo, will he leave after all?  Huh

Source: https://twitter.com/juventusfc/status/1429468271619760128

Taking into account that this is not the most difficult match (by the 4th minute Juventus is already leading 1-0), the coach will most likely give all the attackers a chance to prove themselves. I think Ronaldo will appear on the field in the second half, most likely instead of Morata. As I understand it, Dybala is seen as his main partner.
11765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2021, 04:00:23 PM
Celtic defeated AZ Alkmaar 2-0 in the first leg. Furuhashi was the player of the match with 1 goal and 1 assist. And Celtic had a much better performance than AZ Alkmaar. In the second leg, I expect a stronger AZ Alkmaar. They are one of the respected teams in the Eredivisie. They should be able to put up a good fight against Celtic in the rematch I believe. But at the end, I expect Celtic to eliminate AZ.

Indeed, bookmakers rate AZ Alkmaar's odds as more preferable in the return game
2,25 - 3,80 - 2,85
But I think this is due to the fact that having received a comfortable advantage in the first game Celtic can afford to play defensively and even lose with a minimum score. But by the way, I won't be surprised if they win the second match too, playing on counterattacks, probably this explains the high odds for a draw.
11766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 22, 2021, 03:32:59 PM
NFT games can give you big return if you are able to choose between the good and the bad. Because of the recent trend of NFT games, there are many fake games in the market which are made to get money from you and have no future. You should not invest in these types of games and only look to invest in games which are legit and have good feedback from the players.

Good advice! Like selling on highs, buy on low  Wink In fact, it is quite difficult to understand which project is serious and will arouse public interest and which is a dummy, especially at an early stage. And after it is already clear that the project is working and it is promising, it is too late to make investments, since the prices are already high. By the way, maybe you can advise projects that would be worth paying attention to?
11767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 22, 2021, 03:11:33 PM
Monaco are still maintaining their really bad streak in the league. After Lorient, this time they lost to Lens 0-2 home. They just don't have really good performance against their opponents. They are having big problems on scoring and they are really weak in terms of defending. And still, they can't do anything about it to eradicate this big problem. They have a tough season which is waiting for them.

Monaco will play the next match against Troyes, which, after three played rounds, also has only one point. I think that if Monaco cannot make it to the main stage of the Champions League and additionally cannot defeat this opponent, then most likely the management will think about the resignation of the coach.
11768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 22, 2021, 03:05:54 PM
Do you guys really trust Freebitco.in? What if they run away with all these coins? I don't understand how their business can be viable. With fiat currencies, it is possible to get an interest, because they are not protected against inflation. The purchasing power goes down every year, and the interest payment is like a compensation for this decrease in purchasing power. But this logic is not applicable for cryptocurrencies that are protected against inflation. So how can they pay this 4% interest and still return a profit? I understand that Freebitco.in has remained in business for so many years.. but what is the guarantee that they are not just another Ponzi?

They earn on the fact that having cryptocurrency in their account, they can allow increasing the maximum bets in games. Taking into account the fact that the casino always wins at a distance, this guarantees an increased profit and allows them to pay a percentage to those who are ready to place their cryptocurrency with them.
11769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on climbing challenges on: August 22, 2021, 03:03:09 PM
It is okay. There's still not that much attention to rock climbing but who knows that in the future, we'll see those hobbyists of this activity and they will influence a lot of people to love this sport.

And by that time, if there's that much traction on this, there will be some interesting bookies that will start to look at it and will put it to their books as there are people who loves to do it so, they'll have an idea that there will be also bettors that would love to do it.

I doubt that rock climbing will become popular, firstly it is not a game sport, and secondly it is not a team competition. Perhaps it is interesting to see how someone has achieved mastery in something (for example, climbing), but it is unlikely that anyone will do it regularly. I've noticed that only team competitions have become popular lately (maybe because of the randomness and the fact that each team has a chance against each).
11770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 22, 2021, 02:56:57 PM
I think PSG is playing a very risky game here.
They risk Mbappe leaving without compensation next year, for free, and they bet that their "dream team" will finally win the Champions League this season.
However, there are no guarantees in football, anything is possible, including the fact that PSG fails to win the Champions League trophy again and that Mbappe eventually goes to Real for free.
There is also a real possibility that UEFA will punish them for violating financial fair play due to too much money spent on football transfers.
So, they take a lot of risks because of something that is not certain.
Barcelona had Messi and a lot of other quality players, but they still haven't managed to win the Champions League for a very long time.
It is not enough to buy a lot of good and quality players, but you need to create a good and quality team, well-balanced and ready for big games.

In my opinion, PSG's main difficulty is the weakness of the French championship. They simply do not have the opportunity to build a team playing all year with strong opponents. Football players can be professionals and be as motivated as possible, but weak opponents in any case do not allow them to show their maximum capabilities, for example, the English championship is ideal in this regard - almost every match there takes place in a tournament mode and the teams fight until the last minutes.
11771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 02:31:25 PM
Both are a form of gambling and some people do Sport betting professionally as a primary means of income. You do not need a lot of knowledge and skill to play Slots... but you need a lot of knowledge to be able to bet on all the different Sports.

Poker players also turn professional and they do it as a career... to participate in tournaments... but the average "dice" and "Slot" player do this for fun ...in the hope that they might hit the big jackpot.  Roll Eyes

I think that those who make money on betting do this not because they are well versed in some sports, but thanks to arbitration and other mathematical tricks that guarantee profit. Because if you do not resort to such methods of making a profit, then no matter how good your analysis is at a distance you will lose to the worst bookmaker simply because of the math that works against you.
11772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 02:24:49 PM
Southampton 1 - 1 ManU
They managed to tie the score by Greenwood with a nice game play by Pogba. Sancho replaced Martial and Pogba almost scored a goal. ManU seems to wake up for real and more goals coming imo.
Spurs still 1 goal in advance vs Wolves.

The match is surprisingly difficult especially considering the fact that Manchester United won very easily in the first round. I hope for the remaining time Manchester United will be able to win - it would be a shame if, before the matches with the main competitors for the championship, Manchester United lost too many points and these would be meaningless matches in terms of fighting for gold.
11773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Weekly/monthly financial statements, which do you prefer? on: August 22, 2021, 01:09:09 PM
I'm not losing a lot of money and I can't remember a huge amount of money than what I deposit and I'm not playing on a daily basis so I don't need any statement it will just remind me of money that I use to play, of course, I will be surprised maybe it's enough for me to buy a new motorcycle but on the other hand, I enjoyed playing these games and that's priceless for me.

I agree with you. Your reasoning reminded me of business trainings when "trainers" are advised to give up small regular expenses (such as a daily latte) and say that saving on this in a year turns into a large amount. In my opinion, giving up small pleasant spending (be it latte or gambling) will bring more disappointment than joy from the amount of money saved.
11774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 01:03:56 PM
After this fight, I regret even more about canceling the fight with Spence - I was going to bet on Spence and obviously I would have won. I did not dare to bet on Ugas, although the odds for his victory were attractive. I think the result of this fight is another confirmation that the bookmakers are trying to catch the mood of the crowd and squeeze out the odds according to this, and not according to the real forces of the opponents. The odds on both of Pacquiao's opponents were seriously overestimated and it was profitable to bet on them.
Do you think you would have won? Manny was training for Spence and while I do think Manny should have beaten Ugas even with short notice because he is one of the most talented boxers around I do think Manny would have beaten Spence because he was already training for him and it is clear that he still has the skills. I do not think Manny lost this fight because it was short notice at least that being the sole reason I think it was a combination of taking it on short notice and not being able to train for his opponent and him getting older and slowing down in the later rounds. I think if he was fighting Spence he would have known when to engage and would have saved energy then his age would not play such a big part in the fight like it did yesterday.

Yes, I'm sure I would have won. For Ugas, this was also an unexpected fight and he was able to prepare in a short time and win as few expected - on points, it turns out that he was able to outbox Pacquiao. Taking into account that Spes was also preparing for Pacquiao, then the fight with Spence would not have been easier for Pacquiao at all, but more difficult - due to the fact that Spence is in his prime.

11776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 22, 2021, 12:53:42 PM
That is much more likely to happen than expecting the high interest on offer. The higher the interest offered, the more we should be able to raise awareness of scam attempt. It's almost like a ponzi investment that investors should absolutely avoid. But that doesn't mean the offer of a small interest can guarantee a completely safe investment. Everything needs consideration and if someone entrusts their bitcoin or crypto asset to someone else, then they must also consider all the risks as they no longer have full control over the invested asset.

This is a rather funny paradox - the interest that casinos (and other organizations) offer for a crypto loan usually does not exceed a few percent per annum. I'm talking about safe investments. But does it make sense to make such investments if the volatility of bitcoin is hundreds of percent per year and we simply will not feel such a return?
11777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 12:45:50 PM
There are people who play gambling only while there are others who prefer betting only.
Do you think both of these type of people have different mindset and one of them is willing to take more risk than than others ?

Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.

I can't say anything about the types of mindset, but in my opinion, betting is much safer than gambling. Even if you have a serious addiction, due to the fact that sports events are not endless, you make certain pauses in the game and you have a chance to calm down and return to an adequate state, but if you gamble, you can continue to endlessness at any time.
11778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 22, 2021, 12:41:42 PM
Nice share, I think it's the same topic, regulations are cracking down on popular streaming sites... in Twitch's case, it's gambling, in OnlyFan's case it's porn! In the first place, the government decides to be stricter, and then banks and all payment providers are under pressure to apply some regulations!

Gambling and porn are vices, but it's all normal I think! We all like to play games and have sex! And for that reason, I think that these bans will have just a temporary effect... there will be a demand for both no matter what, and when there's a demand some people will provide! Another thing, people made/making a lot of money from both services, and I don't think they will stop, they will find some way to bypass these regulations!

After the market has been created, it will not disappear anywhere due to bans or restrictions. Users will move to other platforms and continue to do what they did before. By the way, I noticed that some (apparently especially smart and understanding the perspective) users have already left OnlyFans for other services - for example, Amouranth went to Fansly.
11779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- now at: 21/22 Playoffs on: August 22, 2021, 12:08:40 PM
If you guess right, you will get a good profit) Personally, for some reason, it seems to me that Monaco will win, but Shakhtar will advance to the next round (I don't know from the results of extra time or penalty shootout). I will think about making a bet during the match, I think a lot will become clear in the first half.

I think bookmakers are a bit misled by Monaco's last season. I watched a few summaries and there were very often extremely close games with the lucky end for Monaco. Just assume that 5 or 6 games do not turn out to be positively ending for Monaco and you can place them a couple of spots down the table. It was very rare that they had a strong win with like solid 3 - 1 or whatever, you know what I mean. Everything worked out perfectly for them. I am not sure what the squad looks like for Donetsk right now, but they aren't easy to beat for a team like Monaco. Also, Donetsk plays at home. Doesn't look very well for Monaco.

Monaco was defeated 0-2 in the last round of the national championship, I think this is another argument in favor of the bookmakers overestimating this team. Perhaps Monaco was saving strength before the return match with Shakhtar, but given the weakness of the opponent and such a weak result, I am starting to think that Shakhtar can also win the second match in this confrontation.

The odds on both of Pacquiao's opponents were seriously overestimated and it was profitable to bet on them.

Pacquiao did not adjust, that's the problem he faced in the fight and he admitted it, the style used by Ugas was the same style Marquez did when he beat Manny Pacquiao and knock out him cold. Congratulations to Ugas, I also did not bet on him but it's okay, at least I enjoy the fight and possibly the last fight of the 8th division world world champion.

It was a worthy fight and I hope Pacquiao will find the strength to end his career after this fight. I will be sorry if Pacquiao continues to play in the ring and suffers crushing knockout defeats (as for example, I think it would be in the case of a fight with Spence). The art of leaving in time to leave a good memory of yourself is very important, it would be a shame if Pacquiao followed the path of Roy Jones Jr., who at the end of his career spent many unnecessary vague fights and ruined the impression of himself.
