1181  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin on $1000, how do you celebrate? on: November 28, 2013, 04:45:31 PM
By hording them. Muahaha!

The amount of hoarders in this community is amazing.  They alone can drive the price at 10.000$ for no reason at all.

This is the plan   Cheesy

Actually I will celebrate when I sell some of my coins... But not anytime soon
1182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoin reach 1500$ at the end of 2013 ? on: November 28, 2013, 04:38:39 PM
At the end of 2013 between 500$ - 5,000$
Most likely around 2,000$
1183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Prospero x1 100GH Worth getting? on: November 28, 2013, 04:18:42 PM
February 2014 is not guaranteed delivery, just promised delivery (remember BFL 8+ months delay Shocked)
The Bitcoin difficulty is hard to estimate for such long periods
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have any doubts about BTC's short, medium, or long-term viability? on: November 23, 2013, 11:28:53 PM
4) What makes BTC any better than all of the alt currencies? Apart from higher uptake. If that is all it has going for it over the others then what happens if and when attention turns to the alt currencies and people begin to believe that one might overtake BTC? BTC will be destroyed as soon as it loses the single edge it has over the others.

Number of people using it. And much higher security against 51% attack.

For now on, it is true. But it can change at anytime.
And if 99% of the btc users leave and go to LTC, it will be different.

Why would they, LTC is not much different from BTC, only suffers from the two things I highlighted  Wink

1186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the value behind BTC? on: November 23, 2013, 11:18:06 PM
Value of gold:
Many uses
Hard to find
limited amount
Tangible

Value of BTC:
Not tangible
fairly simple to mine
limited amount
No uses except trading for money

I just don't see the value behind it

I strikeout the mistakes you made Wink
1187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best exchange to buy bitcoin? on: November 23, 2013, 11:13:43 PM

1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt-Coin to Start Investing Into? on: November 20, 2013, 12:05:20 AM
Most altcoins are just clones worth 0.

But there are some which are different and some work has been put in. Maybe these might be used in future, who knows

You may buy or sell any amount.
When you will hold coins longer, make sure your computer is clean from malware and make wallet backups
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: just started mining on: November 14, 2013, 12:16:46 AM
Hi there i'm new at this just bought a Block Erupter 333mh/s to start mining but i was thinking about buying 10 so it can be more profitable any toughts about this?

One you can plug to computer dirrectly, for 10, you must have HUB capable of powering all 10 USB Block Erupters. Some HUBs cant power all their positions fully

1195  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Best non-taxable way to cash in your BTC? on: November 14, 2013, 12:02:01 AM
My friend suggested buying Gold on the site which sells Gold for BTC.

Then once you have that physical item in hand, you can sell the gold for cash in hand.  Then I guess you need to keep the cash under your mattress?

Buying Gold solves nothing when you selling it for cash anyway. It is the same as selling bitcoins for cash on Localbitcoins.

Best is spending the BTC slowly, buying products/services for bitcoins directly.
1196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: November 13, 2013, 11:49:15 PM
How many thousands user are of bit coin?
We can't really measure that.

It can be estimated though, with number of running bitcoin-qt nodes, and number of bitcoin-qt downloads. About 100.000+ users estimated, maybe 1 mil
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best faucet sites? on: November 07, 2013, 12:51:20 AM
I tried all the faucets on landofbitcoin for about 2-3 hours. Got my first bitcoins, in form of two transactions, but it totals just .00015805
Not worth it, i guess. Btw what's the thing with those bitcoin generators floating around, anyone here generated some ?

Yes, not worth it. You can now send .00005805 with .0001 fee  Sad

What do you mean bitcoin generators ?

1198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase Reveiws on: November 07, 2013, 12:45:07 AM

Doesn't Coinbase just sell you numbers on a screen as opposed to real BTC?

You describe bank of course. But fortunatelly you can, and should, withdraw your BTC outa there as soon as possible  Smiley
