Yeah no doubt about that, but Boca its really bad, the only thing they have its that mistic of being a HUGE of America and always making good games in Libertadores, the card their have is Cavani, until now Cavani doesnt show anything, lets see if he start to show his magic in that game.
And so far I don't think Cavani has managed to show the same form he did a few years ago (of course) But he can still be that player who comes on in a difficult match and manages to score the only goal of the game He's got the talent, it's just a question of whether his age will affect his performance against a Palmeiras team that's a lot younger at the moment. Boca needs to do a good match in La Bombonera Did you hear about the return of the "plate" that Conmebol will deliver to the Libertadores champion? Last Wednesday, the president of Conmebol made the announcement that they will return to handing out the champion's plate along with the trophy to this year's Copa Libertadores champion.
If I remember correctly, they had already given a spoiler about this last month, when the Conmebol president had asked his followers on social media about the possibility of returning with this award.
An additional "incentive" for the teams that are still in contention in this final stretch of the competition.
I haven't seen anything about this alegotardo Do you have a link to the news you saw?

And to my surprise (I think everyone's) Botafogo lost yesterday to Atlético MG. That's two defeats in a row, which hasn't happened to the team until now The lead, which was 10 points, has now dropped to 7 points. Botafogo wasted 6 points
They were games against tough opponents of course, Flamengo and Atlético MG are very strong, and the next game will be against Corinthians, so it's good to keep an eye on them because if they lose again, the lead could drop to just 4 points.
My team, Corinthians, will play against Gremio tomorrow, who are in 3rd, but even so, because Corinthians are playing at home, the odds are favorable, with 2.55 odds for a win, 3.20 for a draw and 3.0 for a Gremio win. To make it more exciting, I'm going to bet just 4 or 5 dollars on Corinthians because I'm not so convinced that the team can beat Gremio, especially as they'll be using reserve players since they're focused on the semi-final of the Copa Sudamericana

Wales, Poland, Denmark (and possibly some others) play in League A and they have a chance of not qualifying for the Euro based on the results of the qualifying stage, so they, like the representatives of Leagues B, C and D, will participate in the qualifying tournament for the losers. I don’t know how bad Sweden’s performance is if we evaluate only among the losers, but it seems to me that their chances are small.
And do you know how this choice will be made? There are 14 groups in the League of Nations, and there will be 12 places for this play-off in which 3 teams will qualify 4 groups in A, B and C and 2 groups in D Perhaps they could exclude League D from this play-off and leave 12 groups to choose from?

Now there is Another date in October, and Brazil's next rival will be Venezuela, which by the way yesterday beat Paraguay, against all odds they did it, so with Brazil's game I do see it difficult for them to beat them, in fact if they beat them A Draw against Brazil is as if it were a real Victory.
Brazil and Venezuela have played 28 times Brazil won 24 matches, 3 draws and only 1 victory for Venezuela in a friendly match in 2008. The odds are all in Brazil's favor, especially playing in Brazil Venezuela in last place? it doesn't make sense to me, they won't be in the top 6, but not in last place. Bolivia is more likely to occupy that position because they really deserve to be there with their achievements so far. The following is a list of my predictions for the CONMEBOL qualifying standings for the 2026 WC: - 1 - Argentina
- 2 - Brazil
- 3 - Colombia
- 4 - Uruguay
- 5 - Chile
- 6 - Paraguay
- 7 - Peru
- 8 - Ecuador
- 9 - Venezuela
- 10 - Bolivia
I'll quote here to make our "bet" officialy hehehe Let's see at the end of the qualifiers who will have got the most positions right The good thing is that you already think that Argentina will come out on top. And to tell you the truth, I really like to see opinions contrary to my own in order to learn more. Regarding Venezuela, I put it last for a few reasons: Venezuelan teams didn't do well at all in the South American games Venezuela finished last in the last two qualifiers From the two games I saw, against Colombia and Paraguay, I thought they weren't playing very well But I hope to be surprised, I hope the team can bring joy to the Venezuelan people and qualify for the World Cup One question: why do you think Colombia will finish ahead of Uruguay?

Sounds interesting, especially if there's a prize for whoever wins, should we make a side bet on this? Hehe, just for fun (at least for now) I'll post my prediction here: - 1 - Brazil
- 2 - Argentina
- 3 - Uruguay
- 4 - Ecuador
- 5 - Colombia
- 6 - Chile
- 7 - Peru
- 8 - Paraguay
- 9 - Bolivia
- 10 - Venezuela

Of course it's not difficult because we know which teams have dominance in CONMEBOL, in my opinion those who will enter the WC 2026 Brazil are: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile and Peru/Paraguay.
I'd put Ecuador on that list of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup They qualified directly, in 4th place in the 2022 qualifiers and in the World Cup they did well, with 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss From what I've seen so far, with only 2 games of course, Paraguay, Chile and Bolivia are very weak
Shall we make a prediction? Which teams do you think will qualify? At the end of the qualifiers we can compare and see who got it right

Yes, Sweden actually lost second place in the group in the head-to-head match and now they are waiting for participation in the tournament of losers, although I’m not sure that they will be able to qualify at least there - they took last place in League B in group 4 and were relegated to League C. Given that selection for the underdog tournament is based on performance in the Nations League, this defeat to Austria turns into a complete disaster for Sweden.
From what I've read about the 3 remaining places to Euro 2024: The remaining three teams will be decided through the play-offs, featuring 12 teams selected based on their performance in the 2022/23 Nations League. SourceThe 12 teams that will participate in this play-off will probably be the top teams in League B, C and D. I don't think League A will take part in this play-off, but I'm not entirely sure. And Sweden won't be one of them, as they finished very poorly indeed, in last place of their group Only a miracle will qualify Sweden If anyone knows any more information about the 3 spots, please post it here

I think Argentina,Brazil and maybe Paraguay should be the triple to join from these games, sure it is not with that high odd but more likely. After that I would combine another two here,Uruguay draw no bet together with Chile draw no bet as most likely the teams from South America when playing at home are dangerous in front of their fans.
On a side note I don't know how many times Argentina has suffered in Bolivia because they play in a very high above sea level there so it has been difficult. Most likely tomorrow will be different as they are reigning World Champions but I would be cautious here for that above sea level.
Hehehe, once again South American soccer surprise us (and makes us lose bets ) Uruguay lost, Argentina didn't suffer from the altitude and Paraguay lost to Venezuela Ecuador - Uruguay
Good analysis, you got the 2 games right and got Uruguay wrong, just like the rest of us hahaha I also thought Uruguay could win this game without too much trouble, but Ecuador managed to at least reset the points, since they started with minus 3 because of FIFA's punishment This is a very controversial topic.
Bolivia has a number of good quality football stadiums in different parts of the country, but they insist on playing their qualifier matches at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, which is located at an elevation of 3,637 meters above sea level. Other teams are not happy about this, and several times they have complained against scheduling matches in this venue. In 2007, FIFA actually came up with a rule that no World Cup Qualifying matches can be hosted in venues that are 2,500 meters above the sea level. But then in 2008, Bolivia managed to get a special exemption for Estadio Hernando Siles.
Yes, it is controversial In the past, teams suffered more, but nowadays with new discoveries, technology, faster transportation, etc., teams are able to make a good strategy so as not to suffer so much from the effects of altitude Di María said this after the game : “The altitude is psychological,” Di María told journalists after his team's victory. Source
Brazil managed to win, but it was a very difficult game The new coach is very good, and I think with a few more games he'll be able to find an ideal team I could already see Brazil playing differently, playing the ball more, with more teamwork

Austria is doing extremely well just like Albania is doing in their group, and they will most likely both be qualified for the Euro,Austria on top of Sweden and Albania on top of Poland. When you only rely on yourself you can make huge steps forward and to be successful as Sylvinho,ex Arsenal,Albania coach has said since the beginning of this qualifying campaign "there are no big teams and small teams anymore, football changes way to rapidly and for us every game is a final".Such mentality is paying off for this qualifier,I believe the same for Austria.
It's good to see different teams gaining ground and playing better I like Sylvinho a lot, he played for Corinthians, which is the team I support, and I liked his speech a lot, it's very consistent with today, where bigger teams need to show why they are bigger, and not just stay in the past. Albania are doing their job well, with two supposedly better teams, Czechia and Poland, they have a great chance of qualifying and continue a good job Albania and Scotland are the two teams that have surprised me the most (maybe Austria too ok hehe ) While Norway, Iceland and Sweden are the ones that have disappointed me because I expected at least a better level of soccer

Eu as vezes vejo a seria NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC - Segurança Aeroportuária: Peru e Brasil.

I was quite surprised to see Austria take those three points in such a convincing manner. They have been very efficient with their chances and Arnautovic is still going a great job although not much is hard about him when he plays for his club. But both teams have to work on their passing accuracy as that was quite obviously a problem for both of them.
And in general this was probably the most important game in the group so far as it seemed to be very likely that this group will be decided between Sweden and Austria for the second rank. Now it is 7 points advantage for Austria over Sweden. It is a bit sad as Sweden is actually a nice team and country and I would have liked to see them play at the Euro 24.
The last game was crucial for Sweden in my opinion. The group looks like this: Belgium - 13 points Austria - 13 points Sweden - 6 points If Sweden had won, it would have been Belgium - 13 points Austria - 10 points Sweden - 9 points Sweden would then need to beat Azerbaijan and Estonia, which wouldn't be difficult, and try for a draw against Belgium at least But now the situation has become very difficult. Austria are relying on themselves to qualify and are unlikely to lost the 6 points against the weaker teams, and could even lose against Belgium, it's sad but Sweden lost the two matches against Austria
