If we can even get in high 440's and have a  number under 5 percent I consider it a great week.   Coinbase is over 450 a tab at 452! So looking amazing right now we beat the 450 sale walls I think... or hope.

Lending bitcoin seems to work for some here. But you just have to be careful who you are lending out too. Ask for a late clause if they are late in their repayment you will charge them a late fee per week or something along those lines. You can make some extra bitcoin that way if you have some to spare that is.

Lending I see as a scam in a lot of way's.  First everyone knows a decent amount default .... and leave lender in a bad deal.  They can bug them but in most cases they don't get it back if borrower is set on not paying.   And some will say but you can get collateral! But in most cases if they had this they would not need loan.   You can't take care or house or other things like a banks so collateral is tough.

The second thing I think bad about lending forum is some use it to bump up trust look they will loan many out on micro loans.   They know some will not pay back... but they loan as their goal is to farm trust.  Look into lending with this mindset and you will be surprised how many it appears do this.

But my advice is stay away from  loans, you will thank me in most cases.
1183  Other / Meta / Re: Noob Forum Question on: April 23, 2016, 05:58:59 AM
Either I'm very blind, or just am stupid to figure it out. Where can one find the draft page?

Draft page?   There is a preview button besides post button.   If you post that it allows you to see what it will look like as a post on the forum, but does not post where others can see.

So this might be what your looking for.  If a really long one like some guides I have done you are smart to keep copies amoung the way on your computer incase problem with website.
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to collect BTC ?? on: April 23, 2016, 05:56:40 AM
I would think getting a job would be the first step.

if you can earn bitcoin directly basides earning them via buuying with your job it would be better

i would see earning bitcoin as a side job with your primarily job

Exactly I see it as a hobby myself.  I consider myself bigger then "home" miner with my mining area.  But consider myself a hobby miner.  I do it for profit.... and for fun.  A lot lose site of the fun part on forums I think.

But a primary job is best to have.  You will go much further with it to support your BTC hobby.  In most cases at least.
1185  Other / Meta / Re: My Account cant login on: April 23, 2016, 05:52:48 AM
You should really link to account in first to help other's not search it is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=513677

You were asking a loan from that address. How exactly did you lost your account?

iam changing my password to the new one and cant login with that password

Looks like last active was: Last Active:    March 22, 2016, 05:12:17 PM .  When did you try to change password?

But you need to post a message that can be verified or it really means nothing.  Also you mention messaged on 21st I will break the bad news it can be weeks or more in some cases to get your account back.  So just be aware of that.

But do another signed message that can be verified.
1186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: antminer s5 after ~ 1.5 years of mining on: April 23, 2016, 05:36:27 AM
the problem with high pressure air cleaning is that they spin the fans so fast while cleaning that its almost guaranteed that the fans will die.

You can hold fan where it does not spin Smiley, easy to do.  Also could even take off on S5's in a few minutes and really go to town with air.   Normally when I go to clean my rigs I use high pressure air due to I can make as much as I want, and it does not get cold and have to stop like canned air.  Not to mention if you are going through quite a few machines I would rather have 1 air compressor vs a box of canned air.

But yea... you should NEVER let it get that bad I'm surprised you did not have it getting really hot with that amount of dust. That has to be one of worst I have seen.
1187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 23, 2016, 01:56:26 AM
Hiya,

Has anyone had good results underclocking the S4?

MM

I never got anything worthwhile by frequency.  I sold mine long ago and at the time bought S5's with them.   The good news is them being all in one's they tend to hold value higher then they should.

But selling them long ago was best thing I could have done.  I have not seen a underclock that really makes them a game changer on efficiency.

And logistics of sitting up a ton of GPU machins, and troubleshooting them.... I don't see anyone picking a industrial size gpu farm.

I wouldn't not worth it most im gonna do is 6 or 7 build them in PC sense i can all ways use one or two more PC's for other things and maybe rent a few form time to time sense the rent on them is not to bad you can actually make something renting not much but something .

It's not only the building but the amount they have to spend on people to watch and restart gear, and trouble shoot will go up who know's how much.  And your talking a person with skills to.  Not one that just goes to asic miner X and restarts it.

So it really is impractical for industrial size. I see large hobby size being largest people go on this.  If it goes industrial size they likely will have an asic, which is hard to say if/when/ever it happens.
1189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: April 23, 2016, 01:51:05 AM
I have and run it for 6 month one time at max over clock with out issue and sold it a few months after that im told by that buyer it still runs great i wish i had keep it . The one i have now i over clock to much with kano update for CGminer that unlocks the over clocking limits in the GUI and Burt out a chip .

S3 were and still are that good just outdated  !! S1 were to but i don't run my S1 anymore it just sets for parts and i hope some nice bitfury boards one day .

OPs you said under clocking my bad

cya

Each S3 had it's own personality.  Even from same batch same everything some did better then others.  Only way to find out is try it... see results.  You will find some overclock well other's do not.

Also batch 1 was the worst off any of them. If you have S3+ you know you don't have one, but batch 1 was so bad everyone got partial refund.   They just did not hit spec and did not OC well on some.

So all depends on the unit.  You will have to test to know.
1190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: April 23, 2016, 12:26:08 AM
You are not asking much when it comes to looking for one BTC in a full year.  You can collect from faucets and collect that much in one year with out any issues.  I personally make about 3 BTC a year just playing around with faucets and such.  It is nice and something easy to do. Just look around.  I hopes this helps.
How much time do u play with faucets a day?
Because 3btc is alot for faucet claiming.
U earn 3-4$ a day with claiming faucets?

I think key word is and such.  I don't know what his such is... but that is most of earnings most likely.  Faucets you can spend hours and earn cent's for your hour of work.   So you will not get 1 BTC a year using a faucet... let alone 3.  Only way is a few have big referrals.... yes they might do it but these are few and far between.

Most cases you pay more in electricity to use a computer then you make off of faucets. So I think your losing money in most cases on faucets.

Exactly your electricity bill would be more then what you are earning from fauctes  Grin do not waste your time and energy into it if you have other options to earn.

And it's crazy knowing this people still throw it out there. They say it's a good way to learn bitcoin.  In most cases you would be better buying a few dollars in BTC to play with then doing faucets.

You will save your self a LOT of time, and actually will have a lot of time you would have wasted.
1191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining - Please help a newbie on: April 23, 2016, 12:17:53 AM
i thin cloud mining is not profitable at all because you can only get profit if you buy a lot of hash to make profit in the next 2  and 3 months , well at least for me cloud mine is just waste of time , all the time you are cloud mining , you are paying  more for the coin, than buy the coin from some exchange

I would suggest for most to avoid cloud mining, there are to many scams out there.  Almost all cloud mining sites are to good to be true. They do tricks like show profit without adding in difficulty change.   Pay back extremely slow on many invstments, if at all.

If I was wanting to mine I would buy a S7 with coupon right now send it to a legit hosting center.  You get to mine with it for as long as you want (and it's profitable) and one day you have a miner to sell which is nice little bump if you have a lot of them.
1192  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to earn bircoin on: April 23, 2016, 12:15:08 AM
make a scam site like most of the users do here in bitcointalk! So FUCKING tired of that. All the bitcoin sites I have invested even one satoshi have been a scam.

What area are you investing in?  Is it cloud mining?  Certain alt-coins?  We need a lot more info.

But you should research any investment a LOT before putting down any money.  For example if going after cloud mining... almost all are scam after research likely you end up hashnest.   If alt-coins that is much harder... there is a lot of pump/dump.
1193  Other / Meta / Re: top usage hours on the forum on: April 23, 2016, 12:12:20 AM
3) Anyone who posts here is making random guesses.
Wrong. The times that posts are made are public and all of the posts (except in three subs) are public, so all someone would need to do is crawl all of the forum's threads and make a list of the times when each post was originally posted. There are several sites that are essentially mirrors of the forum so this has essentially been done multiple times before.

Might get the time during the day the most posts are posted.  But I think the forums have a good amount off lurkers, and members not posting.  So it's possible the most posted time of day does not equal most viewed.... we don't have data as normal people to say.

Also I would imagine top usage also has to do with attacks.  It seems that sometimes forum get's attacked and has a slow down.  These are not going to be easy to predict but if talking about most resources used it's likely during an attack.  And that is just my guess I have no data to back that up.
1194  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BTCS Dumping SP35s for SP50s on: April 23, 2016, 12:06:44 AM
The tagline of their latest auction reads: "Not many units left, don't miss out!". They sold 15 previously so they're not actually selling many.
15 is not that much, maybe they need the room for a smaller type of miner. Or they have less energy consuming.
Can it be so simple.

The number 15 might just be what they were willing to do as their "first round" of sales via Ebay. See how they go and then adjust the price (up or down) based on what happens with the first 15.

Bitmain has done this along with the S7, with each successive batch being lower priced (generally) than the previous one. The posting by scyth3 makes more sense in terms of numbers.

With having a data center though already in contract... the big question is what do they do with spots?   If their goal is to sell all or a good amount will they leave empty? Seems like a dumb idea.  Will they buy other's machines... seems like it would be a big ego burster to do this.

I just don't see they are going to do next as I don't see SP50 being there when these ship out.  And I also don't see them wanting to have open spots where these miners were.

Maybe they have 15000 GPUs mining ETH.

If they have $3M to buy GPUs then sure but....

Eventually someone will have a asic for it... they likely will keep private as long as possible.  We saw this with X11 once profitability went down... we could get well used gear for the algo.      Them buying so many GPU's is highly unlikely the man hours to put together and parts needed... I don't see them spending it on that.

I also don't see a SP50 there though.... but I think it will either be empty spots or they will buy some other brands gear (which will not sound good on financials when released).

http://cryptomining-blog.com/7752-what-we-dont-like-about-the-ibelink-dm384m-x11-asic-miner/

I read a review about that x11 miner it might be waste now sense there is only one two coins you mine at x11 if I read it right and that miners has so many flaws in the software that need to be fix with no update in sight and it's not open source software, i think they said you can't even change the default password they may even turn into another Zeus miners type company at first it was good then they started ripping others off. and went cloud which made it even worth script mining was very popular back then till Zeus and few others destroyed it but that's how i feel. I actually had the cash when it came out all most bought one im broke now and kind of glad I didn't buy one.

there taking orders for batch 2 i think and/or I hope you get by may or June i think it said was the ship date .

Them buying so many GPU's is highly unlikely the man hours to put together and parts needed... I don't see them spending it on that.

on top of that eth prices are going down  so why buy so many GPU's only to end up selling them again a few months later they are for sure about to do something what ever it is.

you can buy it now if you want to pay 2100 with free shipping n the US if this link is right , www.dualminer.com/iBeLink-DM384M-Dash-and-X11-Miner_p_36.html

They kept secret and mined X11 with them internally (possibly sold in bulk). I think they were selling them now that they got to mine chances are good profits being X11 asic.    Now they are trying for sales... to get even more profit.  But I think these machines come well used.

Any coin that brings massive profits will get asic chip makers attention.  They might keep internal like the X11 one was.   So many were suspose to be coming out with X11..... then all went quiet.  I suspect on eth if they make a asic it will be in quiet and they will mine the crap out of it, eventually sell well after they have ROI'ed.

And logistics of sitting up a ton of GPU machins, and troubleshooting them.... I don't see anyone picking a industrial size gpu farm.

1196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest and fastest way of buying Bitcoin on: April 22, 2016, 09:58:08 PM
I used LocalBitcoins for my first BTC and it was super fun/exhilarating!

I suggest for people to use a real exchange for purchases in most cases.  LBC is great if you want to remain anonymous and willing to pay more.   A lot depends on country your in.  But if your in US look at coinbase you at a certain level can get some instant, and they pull money from your linked bank account.  Works great.

Even on ones not instant they are fast and you can lock in buying price as they get money from your linked bank account.  But yes they know who you are which some done like. I figure I'm not doing anything secret... so I don't mind using them.
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to earn bircoin on: April 22, 2016, 09:55:33 PM
There are many ways to earn BTC every day, you just need to do a search.  You can find some great ways through this forum or you can search through google.  Just do your research and you will be great.

You don't even have to do a search at this point.  These thread are ALWAYS in top in beginner area.  So OP just go back to beginner area and read titles of posts.  You will find some with this exact question that go on for months.   So they are easy to find and have more then anyone could possibly add to your thread.

But do this come back if you have a question about a method mentioned in other thread.  If you have question about method we will happily help.  But your first step is reading threads already there.
1198  Other / Meta / Re: Please open banned on: April 22, 2016, 09:51:31 PM
Why me sir please don't evil to me Smiley
Sorry about that , help me , help me , help me hellppppp meeeeee

No one means it as evil just showing what you did wrong.  You can't take it back at this point a sorry does not get you your account back, just not how it works in meta.

You already got justice it was done by people far above me and staff of forum.  You don't like it as I see permaban mentioned... but it sounds like it was fair and just already.  You want a new decision not justice, as you see justice linked to you not being banned.

Best advice if your permabanned wait a few month's come back with a real sorry post, accept what you did wrong and ask for forgiveness.  Send via email to the email mentioned and then start a meta thread.  Don't push... but ask nicely.  But waiting the time and showing you learned from it is kinda key.
I wrong ok and always wrong y ?
ok ok ok thank you for the permabans my account i really happy on this forum
bye , happy nice day broo ... not sorry with what I did not do
thanks thanks thanks Smiley

You are wrong as you are accusing others of not giving you justice.  You had a LOT of small posts that added nothing, I think you got ban for that. Then you ban evaded.   So you did multiple bad things.

The fact you are not sorry shows you have learned nothing.   Once you have learned something in a few months come back and ask for ban to be lifted.   But it's not something that is going to happen soon.

My best advice is not to try another account in the months between as many do to post they will catch you.... and you lose chance of coming back at all most likely.  But best of luck in your adventures.
1199  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: World’s Largest Bitcoin/Ether Mining Farm Unveiled by OXBTC on: April 22, 2016, 09:44:02 PM

I wonder if it is a typo and should be 1.5 cents or something.  China mega mines are normally paying a few cents..... so I would assume they don't pay near the 15 cent level.  I would be surprised if it was 5 cent's even.

So either they let out false info to scare others from doing it there... or typo.  Not sure which is more likely.

Well both the press release & the website quote 15 cents per kWH, so it's not a typo. So..... I vote that the whole thing is a scam. You don't get a "Worlds largest" in "Three Regions" covering "200 Acres" pop up out of nowhere claiming  " electricity cost as low as 15 cents per kWH" as being a good thing. If it don't sound right it probably ain't right......

Rich

Yea you are right with both press conferences having it.... likely a scam.  For them to be a cloud provider sadly this area is just littered with scammers.    I want to see pictures before I believe.

I was giving benefit of doubt on typo.... which your right was too nice in cloud mining area.  No one should invest in this site to pop out of no where and claim biggest... and facts don't add up. Just another scam to make cloud mining look bad.
1200  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER U3 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2016, 09:40:35 PM
Well I changed the thermal goo and still behaving the same. It will hash at expected levels for 5mins then drop down. I've got it cranked right up and just about managing 40ghs. Aslong as its still going I'll keep it plugged into the r1, at least it will be restarted if she stops.

That is the best thing you can do is a R1 with crazyguys custom firmware.  It really will make your life MUCH easier no more babysitting.  Some U3's hang in the 40 ghs area so I would not be to caught up with it.

I would hook it to custom firmware R1 and just let it go.... and check back in a few years Smiley.

Yep the R1 I have already has crazyguys firmware and is currently running in the antrun.de aswell, although I always hover around the 10-12 position  Cheesy (my R1 must have a dodgy leg or something lol)

It's still on my to do project to get mine up and running again.   I really do like the R1 once you put crazyguy's firmware on it.   I have a list of projects to get to.... and been slower then I had hoped for.

But I will eventually get my R1 back up and running Smiley.
