1181  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 25, 2023, 09:23:01 PM
What's your take on this?

To me, financial stability is simply when you can afford everything you want without breaking a sweat. If you want to get a car for example, you don't have to plan for it and save for it, you just get the car and you don't have to forfeit anything to get the car.
Financial stability is different for different people, but as far as you can afford whatever you want then you're financially stable to me.
A person may be earning well and making a good amount of money, but there are things he will love to do that cannot do, simply because there is not enough money, that means the person is not financially stable.
Or it may be that an energy happened and money is required urgently and he can't afford it in a short period of time, to me he's not financially stable.
1182  Other / Archival / Re: No panic while holding my Bitcoin on: July 25, 2023, 09:10:08 PM
Secondly i have learned never to panic during any crisis time or when the bitcoin price drop significantly because in the near future it will increase in value again, and also to hold an amount i can afford to look away from for a long time.

This is very easy to say but when the time comes, it could be very different. It's not easy to control your emotions well enough when the price of Bitcoin just keeps going down. Your investment would be depreciating right in front of you and there's nothing you'll be able to do about it. It takes a lot for you to be calm amid all that chaos. In times like this, you have to remember that the price will still rise.

The price will rise doesn't mean it would be in the near future like you said. It could take longer than expected before Bitcoin goes back to the original price it was before that particular deep. So it will do you more harm to have a particular time in mind because you might be disappointed.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 25, 2023, 02:12:37 PM
With very little experience in Bitcoin my opinion is based on layman's understanding, so please correct me if I'm wrong, it's true without other altcoins Bitcoin investors would be much but, looking at it from the other hand without these other altcoins and tokens the popularity of cypto world and it's digital currencies would still be in a drowsy motion i.e competition amongst Bitcoin and other altcoins has made Bitcoin more popular and trust worthy for investment because, Bitcoin has proven its outstanding authenticity when compared to other altcoins.

I agree. The popularity of these altcoins have also increased the popularity of Bitcoin. A lot of people where introduced to a certain altcoin first when they were first introduced to crypto, but they know about Bitcoin in the process. You can't know crypto without knowing Bitcoin. Without the popularity of altcoins, Bitcoin won't be what it is today. I agree that there are disadvantages to altcoins but it also has it's advantages.
The more people involve in altcoin, the more Bitcoin becomes popular. This is because when compared to other altcoins, Bitcoin is better than the rest so it makes it superior, but if there was nothing to compare it to, it won't be seen as superior.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 24, 2023, 09:15:30 PM
Well, for me I believe the only way we can say something like gambling abuse is when the person is a minor and when a person is a gambling addict.
Gambling was never made to be the source of income, but it can be "a"source of income even if you're doing it for fun. The fact that it's supposed to be an entertainment doesn't mean it's wrong if you aim to make money from it. Isn't that the goal of gambling? Do you gamble if there is nothing to win?
Different people have different reasons why they gamble, so as far as they gamble responsibly, then it's fine by me.
There's no point policing the motive behind why people gamble or their reason for gambling.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 24, 2023, 08:28:44 PM
If Napoli is actually interested in defending the title successfully, they should actually think about bringing in players who will make the team strong. Defenders are obviously going to be very important for the team. Losing a really good player, like Min Jae Kim is obviously going to be big for a club that is defending the title.

My recommendation is that Napoli seriously contemplate the recruitment of a formidable player - someone capable of seamlessly filling the void left by Kim. However, it appears that thus far, the club is attempting to address this issue with their existing squad members. The predicament lies in the fact that the current players may not possess the necessary qualities to strike a delicate balance within the team.

Most times it's very difficult to replace a player that is very good. It's not like that player is the best in the world in his position, but getting a player better than or as good as the player that left can cost more that you imagined.
Imagine Napoli goes all out of a quality defender that is up to the pedigree of Kim, how much do you think they'll spend? In my opinion, it would be nothing less than €70 million. This is a club that sold Kim because they needed money to balance some things.
When a player like that leaves, it's not a must to get an equal replacement, the team can adapt and play without him and it will be like he never left.
Napoli have not sold many of their top players which is a good thing. With the players they have they can compete for tye league next season. They just need a few additions for quality squad depth and they'll be good.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 24, 2023, 08:18:16 PM
This is insanity if it is true and it is once again even more unreal than anything else has ever been unreal before... Mbappe has been offered 700 million for one season by Al-Hilal and the club from Saudi Arabia would be willing to pay 300 million to PSG and then after one year they would allow Mbappe to leave as a free agent... Is this still the soccer world or what is this? Cheesy

I have read reports that said it's not true. Fabrizio said it's not up to that. I think people misinterpreted the deal.
The deal is 200 million for one year. Then he keeps 100% of his image right and other bonuses that can take it up to 700 million. I still doubt it would be up to that. If you include all the other bonuses he could get it still will not be up to that amount. €200 million is already a ridiculous amount and he would be the biggest earner in football, how on earth am we suppose to believe he would be paid 700m.

There are some news or rumors I see and I just scroll past them because it ain't happening.
I even read that Barcelona are interested in Mbappe. Isn't that funny? This is the highest paid player on the planet, how is Barcelona going to pay him even if they can manage to get him for free?
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 24, 2023, 08:05:22 PM
I agree that Kane would have been a good transfer for Manchester United, but they have Bayern competing with them for that striker and I think Bayern would not shy away from raising their offer if they need to. It is said that Kane already gave his word to Bayern, but who knows if that is true. It is complicated to make a prediction about how Manchester United will do in the next season and when Kane wants nothing more but titles, I think that Bayern would be the better choice for him. What are the chances that Manchester United wins a title next season? The chances are probably low. They might have a chance to win the FA Cup, but I doubt that they are strong enough win the Champions League or the Premier League.

I feel it would have been easier for Manchester United to sign Kane than Bayern Munich. It's going to be a very difficult thing for a non English team to sign the captain of the England squad. The major obstacle to Manchester United is that Tottenham don't seem like people that are ready to sell Kane to rivals. I'm not even sure they're ready to sell Kane at all, but they will be forced to because they may lose him for nothing next summer. Why lose both the money and the player when they can get a hundred million from him now.

In terms of trophies, Bayern is the best choice for Kane. They have a chance in the champions league and an even bigger chance in the league, unlike Manchester United that have a very little chance of winning the Champions league or league.
But with Kane Manchester United that be a pretty strong team. Kane will fit Manchester United perfectly. Man United should do all they can to sign Kane.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 24, 2023, 07:54:08 PM
So the best option for Mbappe is to earn like 7 times his current salary in only one year and then join Real Madrid.

The deal favours PSG mostly because they will be able to get rid of Mbappe and pocket close to €300m in doing so. This looks like the best situation for them to solve the situation with Mbappe.
Madrid too can afford to wait because they will be getting the hottest footballers on the planet for free. That's a pretty good deal.
The person that may get affected the most negativity by this deal is Mbappe. He needs to stay fit and in top form and going off to Arabian league to stay for one year might affect him negatively.
The quality of football in Europe is different from the level of football in Asia and he might find it difficult to b his best self when he comes back.
If I were him I wouldn't go. He's still too young and filled with too much potential to go to the Arabian league. He has a chance to write his name on the history books of football in Europe, there's no point rushing it.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 23, 2023, 10:06:24 PM
Bayern Munich and Dortmund battle it out every season in the Bundesliga, Dortmund unfortunately lost last season. However, I think if the Dortmund team adds a suitable player to replace Haaland, then Dortmund will go ahead of Bayern Munich.

So by your logic Dortmund should have won the league when they had Halland.
Even if Dortmund get a Halland they will still not be able to win the league because other part of their squad needs strengthening. The Dortmund team may have good players, but to say the truth they don't have the quality of players Bayern Munich has. Also, Bayern has more quality on the bench. Dortmund lack quality squad depth. Sadly, they don't have the funds to keep a big squad unlike Bayern Munich.
This was way I was very disappointed with Dortmund when they failed to win the league last season. That was a once in a while opportunity and they blew it. They had all the took to win that league but they fumbled till it got to the last game and they still went ahead and got only a point in a match they could easily have won at home and won the league. Till this day I still  wonder why Bellingham didn't start that game.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 09:44:33 PM
I guess this is one of the goals, dominate the Asian Champions League, but it won't stop there. They are also drawing a lot of attention to their domestic league as the World Cup 2030 is also on their to do list. But what do the European clubs do when the Saudis decide to launch a super league and simply 10 x the prize pool of what the UEFA is offering in the Champions League? Will there be a threshold where clubs can't say no anymore to a super league? It feels like this is just the beginning of a massive project.

The Arab league is going to get bigger than it is right now, but it will not be as big as Europe.
One major thing they lack is they don't produce their own stars. If you look at European football and South American football, you'll notice that they produce their own stars. I feel these two continents (Europe and South America) has the best leagues and they don't have the kind of money the Arabs have. It's not by signing superstars to the league. It's about the quality of football. They have to look for ways to play quality football. In S. America they don't have have that kind of money but their football is good, all that is needed is right funding and they can compete with Europe.

I know that the world is dynamic. Years ago the Italian league was the best league, there was a time American clubs were highly rated just like European clubs, so I won't be surprised if I come to earth in 200 years and see another continent dominating football, but what I know is that football won't be dominated by signing big players and giving them lucrative deals.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 02:29:50 PM
Chelsea will be a very strong team next season. There is something in the way the Chelsea team are playing , you can see that they want to show that they are back. There are some particular good youngsters in Chelsea club like Jackson and Cesare Casadei. Jackson and Mudryk link up well and that led to Mudryk's first goal for Chelsea.
It's only the pre-seasons. It will be difficult to predict how a team will play only from the pre seasons. The season is long and requires a lot of consistency for a very long time. We've seen all these before. Even when Mudryk first signed for Chelsea he was explosive. In his first match against Liverpool but along the line he just didn't reach his potential. I know Mudryk is a good player because you can see it in the way he moves and plays. Maybe it was lack of  confidence that made him look badly last season or because the whole team was bad.
I have my doubts for Pochettino. I really hope I'm wrong and he comes out good for Chelsea.

They played very well and were a threat anytime they went forward. Sancho can play as their striker if they do not get a striker, but if they can get a striker, it will be good to complement this very balanced Manchester United team.

Sancho as a striker is the worst thing that can happen to Manchester United's attack. Not because he's a bad player but even at his best he won't be able to play the center forward role. He likes to come in from the wing while on the run. Rashford can play the center forward and if Sancho picks up form he will play the wing.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 23, 2023, 02:08:47 PM
I'm not going to say that we expect to see a miracle from Thomas Tuchel and his payers in the next season but the fact about ith coach is mostly about the experience he got in the champions league which can be usually for Bayern Munich which is the main reason for them to hire this coach.

The UEFA Champions League is an extremely difficult competition in which the best four teams from each European league compete for the campaign championship. Bayern Munich is a challenging contender for the league title; they frequently lose a game. Perhaps during Julian Nagelsmann's administration at the Allianz Arena, the squad functioned effectively, but after bringing in Thomas Tuchel, the club began performing terribly. In his first season as Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel won the Bundesliga despite the club's terrible performance.

I don't think hiring Thomas Tuchel was the right move from Bayern. He may have experience but I don't think he's the kind of manager that they like. Bayern struggled after Tuchel took over. While that may be because he's just coming, it may also be because he's not capable of the task. The fact that a manager is experienced doesn't mean he will be successful at any club he goes.
Based on the reinforcements that Bayern are trying to get this summer, they may win the league easily but they won't get to the semi final fof the champions league. There will be no real difference between Nagelsmann's Bayern Munich and Tuchel's
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 23, 2023, 01:48:45 PM
I prefer to see lautaro play in saudi league.

Why would you prefer a player like Lautaro Martinez to play in Saudi Arabia? He's still very good and he's one of Inter's most important players. If Inter are in a tough spot does that mean they should sell all their important players? Won't that put they in an even more difficult position? They're not the only club with debt and they can manage it.
I believe Inter will reject an offer for Martinez except that offer is too good to be true. Paying off their debt is not the only focus of the club and selling player is not the only source of income. Things are bad for Inter, but not as bad to an extent where they can't even keep their few big players.
1194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 21, 2023, 06:51:27 AM
I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them

The thing is I can see the perspective of these people, even if they're going about it the wrong way. They have good intentions for their friends and family member so they try to introduce them to something they think would help their life.
They might have this feeling that they're selfish or holding out on those close to them. Maybe the person makes money from Bitcoin as a trader or any other means and he would like to educate those close to him about it too, but where I draw the line is feeling it's a must for them to buy the idea.

What I suggest is just tell them about Bitcoin, the features, the advantages, the risks etc. Any one that is interested should go make his own research and you should coach him or her any way you can. Make sure they really understand what Bitcoin is all about and what it stands for. You don't have to get angry if someone doesn't want to use Bitcoin, it's their choice.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: July 20, 2023, 10:50:48 PM
Inter Miami got 4 ex Barcelona players and are looking really good for the rest of the games but i honestly doubt they can reach the playoffs with not many games left. They would need to win almost all of their games to try and get that last position that leads to the playoffs

Inter Miami have not won a league game in about two months. That's a very poor run. I hope things will get better for them.
I don't really follow the MLS and I don't know the strength of the teams that much so I can't really tell how effective the signing of these new players will be. Messi is still among the best in the world and I have no doubt he will explode in the MLS. Despite how good they may be, it will be almost impossible to win all their games. The players they signed as nothing players that are at the peak of their career. They're players at the eclipse of their career so it will do us a lot of good to not have ridiculous expectations.
I will be following the MLS henceforth to an extent and I hope it becomes very interesting because the competitions and calander year is very different from what we have in Europe.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2023, 10:00:56 PM
Pochettinno is kind but I'm not too confident in his ability to transform Chelsea but just maybe he is right about sending off all those players that left the club and the ones left will be in good form to pressurise other teams to climb up the table as fast as they can to bring worthy to Chelsea ones again.

So far Chelsea have made good moves in the transfer market. They have sold the players that need to be sold and kept the ones they need. They still have to sell a lot of players though but I believe they will do that before the transfer window closes

I also don't feel confident in Pochettino. I have always had my doubt about him. He was at Tottenham for about 6 years and couldn't deliver a single trophy. A manager with the kind of CV should be very questionable. Although he managed to make Tottenham into a top 4 club, but that was all they managed to be, a top 4 club.
If you argue that Spurs didn't have deep pockets that's why he couldn't succeed, he was also at PSG and even though he managed to win the league there, PSG played the worst football under Pochettino. They lacked rythem and they were painful to watch.
I believe Chelsea will be way better that they were last season but I think they won't make it to the top 4. The top 6 is what I believe they can achieve.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 20, 2023, 09:50:47 PM
Real Madrid could be an undefeated team if Kylian Mbappe joins the team. They have incredible offensive power. With names like Vini, Valverde and Rodrygo behind Mbappe, Real Madrid will be a team that is feared by every team. Next year, maybe they can complete the unfinished business with Manchester City. If they encounter this squad, they have a very high chance of eliminating them.

Real Madrid once had Ozil, Di Maria, C. Ronaldo, Benzema, Ramos, Pepe, Khedira, Xavi Alonso, Marcelo, Casillas an more all in one team and they were not undefeated so how do you think having Mbappe will make them an undefeatable team.
Football is not like that. There is no team you want to asemble today that will be better than that Madrid team. If a team has the most star players, it doesn't mean shit if there is no chemistry among them. If there is no understanding and rythem in the way the team plays then they'll look like a regular team e.g PSG. Even that Madrid team couldn't win the champions league and managed to win just one La Liga title. If Madrid with Mbappe meets Manchester and Manchester is a team with chemistry and understand each other then they'll still school Madrid.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 20, 2023, 09:19:25 PM
I don't see this as losing, it was a beneficial agreement for both teams. Although Ilkay Gundogan was the captain of the team, I don't think he was the key name of the team, he had an important role, but there are other alternatives to play his role. We will see a different central midfield game in City this season. Chelsea are really falling apart one by one, how will the team be re-formed, big losses were experienced last season, they say goodbye to their good games this season. I have no doubt that he will adapt to City Kovacic, communicate with his teammates in a good flow.

Kovacic is good, but not nearly as good as Gundugan.
Gundugan was a little bit underrated in that Manchester City team. He was a key part of that squad. The team can survive without Kevin De Bruyne but I don't think they could survive with Gundugan. They had nobody that could play the role Gundugan had. Now that they have Kovacic signed by City he can play that role. Like I said Kovacic is not as good as Gundugan but Pep knows what he's doing. He's going to turn him into the kind of player he wants.
When De Bruyne was absent, Gundugan stepped in for De Bruyne, but De Bruyne cannot play the CM midfield role like Gundugan. That was how important he was to City.
I'm not worried because Pep will find a way to make things work and I know Gundugan will fit very well into Barca and continue to be a top player.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 20, 2023, 09:07:52 PM
I have some doubts about Man City after looking at their transfer market, a lot of key players have been let go like Mahrez recently joining the Saudi Pro League. For sure they need some time to get into top form after so many changes in their main squad.

I actually have no doubt about Manchester City. They might have lost a lot top players and will most likely lose more, but I know what Pep is capable of. Also, the transfer market is still open and there is still a lot of time for them to reinforce their squad. Mahrez and left and they're looking for a replacement for him. They are talking about getting Raphinha which would be a very good replacement. The good thing about Pep is that he can turn Raphinha to a world class player, the same way he'll turn Kovacic into a world class player.
I heard a swap deal with Barcelona for Raphinha and Benardo is on the table.
Pep is a genius. He needs good players to succeed quite alright, but the players in Manchester City is ready for anything. All the need is like three players; a right winger, a right back and a central midfielder and they will be good.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 19, 2023, 10:44:24 PM
Atletico Madrid bring Joao Felix from Benfica in the 19/20 season for over €120 million. Quote from the transfermarkt media, the Portuguese player has a market value of € 50 million, this value can increase depend on how much the club wants Felix. I doubt Barcelona will get him apart from the transfer fee which is of course quite high, the Joao Felix issue has been spreadi since the last two seasons even before this Felix is report close to reach an agreement with Manchester United but what happened is  atletico chose the loan option to Chelsea last season. I conclude that Atletico still want to take advantage of Felix and have no intention of selling him

Atletico wants to sell Felix. His relationship with someone is not a good one and there is no going back for him. At this point he doesn't even have a jersey number at the club so he's going to leave the club this summer except a deal cannot be done.
I've not really seen reports that Barcelona are interested in Joao Felix but a swap deal would not be a bad deal. Atletico want Barcelona's Frank Kessie and Ferran Torres. These two players could go to Atletico while Felix head to Barcelona.

The problem is Felix's preferred position is the supporting strike and that position doesn't exist at Barcelona. Except Felix would be used a a left winger, it's going to be a problem for him to shine in Barcelona.
