1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: January 25, 2022, 03:39:14 PM

Well, I also support this motion, because I have seen that many chess players in recent times are very young and have great potential, even when I was at the University there were many children who always came and played in the chess club, under which they had a great level for their age, that is why I also assume that age does not matter much here, the intellectual level, strategy and plan that they can establish is unique, and each person thinks differently, and anyone from a young age he sees clearly what he will be as an adult and more so in any sport.

I think over time, your game will also evolve. Look at Carlsen for example: when he was young, he was a much more attacking player (sometimes maybe too attacking) but now he is more an allround player. It all comes with experience.

this is amazing, since chess have a huge amount of games that are recorded somehow (even if just text notation) one can observe how a player style evolve and change over time
quite good material for studying and learning

Chess is actually a very popular sport and its popularity is often overlooked. Actually, if you open twitch right now, you can see 35000 viewers watching people play chess right now. And this is also a really good way to learn and study.

I think this rate of the Paris team can be considered a surprise. I was thinking that Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain would win the UCL this year. However, the ratios are misleading me. Perhaps because of the Real Madrid-PSG match, Paris Saint-Germain's rate is so high. If they can knock out Real Madrid, they can drop their odds and become one of the favourites.
I didn't even want PSG to make the final this season. Although they have a lot of great players, it doesn't seem like they have the UCL winning mentality in every player yet. Moreover, they will play Madrid, of course I will choose Madrid to win. At least all madrid players are more experienced than PSG this year. But I think the opportunity still exists for PSG they could certainly be a surprise and beat Madrid, Madrid must be vigilant.
PSG has always had one target. Not really their local league. If not past season, ligue 1 title has been their birth right.
They signed Neymar and Mbappe for this purpose and it didn't work.
They signed arguably the world best player - Messi, I believe they will fight to the end.
If they can escape Real Madrid, they will lift the trophy.  Their major problem is Madrid because of experience. Madrid as a team has champions league final experience. Even the individual players has such experiences. So it will be tough.
Actually, let's not forget that Paris Saint-Germain also has the experience of the Champions League final and it was quite recently in 2020. It is not even necessary to talk about the winning experience of such players as Keylor Navas, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos. Paris Saint-Germain is really difficult to call the main favorite of the current Champions League draw, given the kind of game the club showed before, but on the other hand, I wouldn't be too surprised if they told me that PSG would win the Champions League. It's just that now the club needs to pass a very difficult barrier in the face of Real Madrid, and in terms of the status of its players, PSG is not lower, and in some ways even higher than Real Madrid.

It is well discussed in this topic that PSG looks really good and often too strong of a team on paper. but we all can agree that their results tell us a different story.

It is true that they look really stronger than real Madrid but judging by their performance, well at least this season does not look so promising. They are winning the league and I have no problem with that and no one does but we all can agree that there should have won the league more convincingly and asserted dominance. But in PSG vs Real Madrid, I think it is going to be an even match.

At the age of 34, of course, Luis Suarez is not young anymore, but that doesn't mean he can't make a big contribution to Aston Villa later, Suarez is known as a striker who is quite fast and also good at seeing opportunities in front of goal, but Suarez, who has a long history of injuries, often suffers from a decline in his performance in his game, but even so I think Suarez could be the right choice for Gerrard on the front lines of Aston Villa, especially Suarez and coutinho have often collaborated so that they really understand the characteristics of each other game, so it is possible that the Suarez and Coutinho duo will be successful and of course it will be very dangerous for Aston Villa's opponents.
Steven Gerrard is still giving Suarez chances and this will be a reunion for these three players, I think he is still sharp in front of goal even though he is not young anymore.
Suarez could still play a few more seasons in the Premier League if his performances are still good but I think he still deserves to be in England after being away for so long and Gerrard knows Suarez's hopes at Aston Villa could turn his fortunes around again.
Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa made a few good changes.
I'm a Liverpool fan with huge respect for Aston Villa because Steven Gerrard, Coutinho, and Luis Suarez will definitely make it magnificent. Having Steven Gerrard as a coach is amazing, he attracts good players regardless of how big or small the club is, he's so impressive. Liverpool is about to have "Liverpool Pro Max" in Aston Villa. Gerrard bringing his old buddies back is incredible. I hope and believe they all find their formation back so we can enjoy them one last time before they hang their boots. Now they will have good attacking depth in Danny Ings, Ollie Watkin, and now Luiz Suarez. Gerrard is killing. What a team Aston Villa will become next season. Captain fantastic is slowly becoming Coach fantastic.

Suarez could really be a good option for Aston Villa. Although he is 34, he is still in good form and I think that he can still play 2 to 3 more seasons at the highest form before he starts to decay.

He has a knack for scoring goals and he is a very opportunist player who always looks forward to how he can score more for his team. His and Gerrard's reunion would be great to see.

Zach Lavine could really contribute well in the game today if it's not because of his knee injury that he committed an intentional foul to exit the game formally. He really need to rest and come back quick because the Bulls needs his instincts and assists.

But the Warriors did really bounced back after they lost twice in a row, I highly commend their bench players because this team is one of the perfect examples as they didn't rely on their starplayers. Kuminga, Poole and Wiggins really drilled some scores there and buried the Bulls as they made 41 points in the 2nd quarter alone.
Absolutely, Kuminga really needs more match time. He was on top of his form. I can say that the bench players saved the Golden State Warriors against The Bulls this time. But I am eager to see what happens when Draymond Green returns from injury and Stephen Curry gets his form right. Having this kind of backup from the bench players, I think the Golden State Warriors are looking at the championship this time.

Bulls at a place where every player matters nowadays. So I doubt that they could be doing something that doesn't really change when one player leaves. Derozan, lonzo, lavine, caruso, vucevic, all of them matters a lot for the team. You miss one of them and suddenly the whole system would not be as good.
I am not saying that they would become a terrible team, but they would not be as good as they are right now. Lavine is definitely needed for them. I am still shocked that they are as good as they are right now, I definitely did not expected them to be this good, I expected them to be a better of course but not as good as they are right now.
The bulls had their 5th loss this season. Even they were on the lead of 20 points against The Trail Brazzers. I think that it was their worst loss this season. They even got a good start, 10-4 lead. But they could keep it up till the last moment. Bulls learned in a hard way that in a pro game like this, they need to keep up the play till the last moment. The bulls now have a perfect form. Every player is in the good shape. With DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and others, they have a really strong lineup. All they need to do is shake it off and give their all in the next matches. I think they are the team to dominate.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 16, 2022, 12:31:06 PM
The Lakers lost by 37 points, and I would even say they were destroyed by the Nuggets. LeBron scored 25 points, Westbrook scored 19 points and had 0 turnovers, and even Howard played in the starting lineup. However, it doesn't matter since Jokic made a triple-double in this match, and the Lakers couldn't handle him.

Actually, I think the Lakers needed a beatdown by 50. you know, they were just standing in the defense, no spirit at all. If you look, they had  Frank Vogel, the best coach, But now it wasn't enough. The match was really frustrating to watch as a Lakers fan. It was almost like LeBron James vs the Nuggets match. On the other hand, Nuggets had 32 assists against 21 of Lakes. It really shows the team effort.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 16, 2022, 12:16:04 PM
Yes, there are a lot of stars players there, and they have been there for years. But how much did they help to win the league?? there were unable to help PSG win the champions league.
Yes, and maybe that's a very logical reason for the PSG club in terms of recruiting Messi, but I'm also not sure that Messi can bring PSG to become champions because the problem of winning is always inseparable from luck, even though there are many star players there.

Quote
Maybe that's why they recruited Messi. As we saw that with even a bad squad like Barcelona's Messi was able to do wonders. Barcelona can now feel that how important Messi was for them. He single-handedly carried them to success. Maybe that's why the PSG board thought that Messi will be able to help them get the CL trophy. So far this season PSG do look like a contender for the title, let's see what the future holds for them.
If for title challengers this year PSG do have the potential for that and even in the past before Messi it was also seen like that and in Barcelona before messi ended his contract with them they also lost a lot, so try to look at each club from two points of view so that can balance between winning and losing.

You are not wrong I have to say. PSG were always like the team who always had the potential to win the trophy for the past few years but they were not able to. Maybe this season they have more probability to win but in order to win the CL, the stars have to align right and the team also needs to play well on the specific matchday. But so far what worries me is that the Messi, Neymar, mballe trio is still not gaining the needed chemistry, right?
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 16, 2022, 12:04:09 PM
Chris Wood actually is good give his age but 30million seems like really waste of money. I really do wonder who is behind the brains for this transfer inside Newcastle. Seems like failure of getting any big names is just taking toll on their heads now. Except for Trippier , I did't liked any of the their transfers.
Yes, spending 30 million for Chris Wood is too much. Chris Wood is no longer a young player and he isn't a top player, his value should be under 30 million. I am a bit surprised why Newcastle decided to buy this man with a big amount of money. There are too many other center-forwards that they can buy with 30 million. To avoid more waste money, I agree that Newcastle needs a new scout that has a good reputation in choosing and negotiating for new players.
Still not understand why Chris Wood spent much money by Newcastle United and waste almost £25 million to get his sign's from Burnley, right now Chris Wood has 30 year old and not gold age for football player but looks crazy for Newcastle United keep get him. Different with Kieran Trippier and spent only £11 million get him from Newcastle United but he has many experience with bigger club from Spurs until Atletico Madrid and last season success give Atletico La Liga trophy, but what have giving by Chris Wood so far for his club never success reach higher position standing on primer league.

I think this is not the best deal for Newcastle. $30M for Chris wood seems a bit high in my eyes, that too for a 30year old striker. Newcastle are now in a building phase and they need to focus on buying young players so that they can aim for being one of the best in Europe in the next 3 or 4 years, but I don't get the logic to buying a 30year old striker for $30M. That too, for an average striker.

And in this game, I'm opting for the Sixers vs Celtics. They won their last game but the Celtics lost their last one so they will have the morale boost compared to the Celtics. The Sixers are on the 5th placed team in the East and I don't think the Celtics will be able to give them a tough time.

Celtics is playing their rough night back then, but a team on a losing side should have strived even more when they are currently in their a lost, but the 76ers have a great form today, that is why they have won against the Celtics,
And here is my Result for the recent pick that I have made,
Indiana Pacers VS Phoenix Suns SCORE 94 - 112 - WIN
Philadelphia 76ers VS Boston Celtics SCORE 111 - 99 - WIN
Chicago Bulls VS Golden State Warriors SCORE 96 - 138 - WIN
Clearly, I have won all picks, and that game of the Chicago Bull VS Golden State Warriors, the Warriors have devastated and destroyed the Bulls only in the 2nd half that was a great game for the Golden State Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga is so fast he just keeps on pouring the destruction on the Chicago Bulls, Cleary that is a 1 sided game.

Congratulation mate!!
Last one is a very tough decision, how could you able to catch that!!
The bulls lost by a huge margin, 42!! The GSW were having a tough time lately but I never thought that they will win this game by showing this much dominance against the Bulls. Almost every player of GSW contributed to the win. I think they lost the game in the first 2 quarters. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls scored only 19 points and GSW scored 41! I've seen Bulls played well in the last 2 quarters but the match was already lost and they were not able to get back from the huge lead GSW took in the early game.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 15, 2022, 05:19:54 PM
Golden State Warriors finally won a game. They had a really difficult game against Chicago Bulls last night. I was expecting a close result and it was really hard to predict which side could have been the winner too. Because Bulls also are one of the sensational teams of this season. But here in this game, Warriors were so determined to win that they obliterated Bulls by 138-96. Klay Thompson was rested. Stephen Curry didn't have a fascinating performance also. But thanks to a great team play, they still got a comfortable win.
It was a bit awkward tho that they had to sit Klay because I think they can't afford another lose while testing Klay's present capabilities and doing some adjusting while the playoffs are fast approaching, Steve Kerr made a tough decision knowing that Green isn't around. But eventually that decision led to their win with a huge score difference.
These bench players of the GSW are quite smart and really had some initiatives to dig their own scores and make double figures especially Kuminga who really shines in the game today.
I think Klay could understand the circumstance that they had to sit him and see what could be the effect of it. And indeed they break that slump with a win against the Bulls.
The bench players knows their spot already, even with or without Klay they have to muster everything and help Curry because Green is not around. I thought that Kuminga is also on the injured list, but he played so it was a big plus for GSW.

Team effort, it was the reason that made it possible for the Golden State Warriors to win against Bulls. They had a total of 39 assists against 26. Golden State Warriors could not make the best of Stephen curry last night, they also had Klay Thompson in rest. That means The Splash Brothers could not put on an act. But Andrew Wiggins, Jordan pole, Jonathan Kuminga filled the gap. And they did it really well. Now we are just eager to see what the Bulls do against the Celtics tomorrow night.
1190  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: January 14, 2022, 05:33:13 PM
Yes indeed there is a difference of opinion between us regarding, "money does not guarantee happiness". But in my opinion, the luxury life, being able to buy everything what we want with money is not a happiness, but rather our satisfaction with something.
From happiness we can get satisfaction, but not the other way around.

This is the word that I am looking for in order to be satisfied. I believe that this is the most intense emotion that we would be experiencing if we purchased costly items such as the most recent model of phone on which we bet our lives on success. The majority of individuals who are not wealthy believe that they are happy. They believe that they are truly happy if they are not sick, if they can eat three times a day, and if they have a happy family. The majority of people believe that happiness is about having a strong family.

Actually, It is wrong to combine money and happiness. It is true that one can never be happy with money but in some cases, money brings happiness and makes people smile.
For example, if a person who has been starving for a long time is given some money to buy food, then a smile of relief appears on his face. Let's look at another example Someone is suffering from debt, he can't afford to pay off the loan, so if he is helped with some money, that money will bring him some happiness.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: January 14, 2022, 05:21:47 PM
They borrow money right? That is also the reason some of them go seriously broke. After borrowing money and investing in the wrong assets, they lose it and then they get themselves into a heavy depth that they would find difficult in paying off.  Taking loans is really a huge risk, except maybe when you are very sure of what you’re doing with that money, and you know very well that there is the tendency that the money you are borrowing is going to yield a huge amount of profit enough for you to also pay back the amount that you have borrowed and still have more remaining.

I’m not really going to encourage anyone to take debt, for me it is best for you to raise that money for yourself. Although like I did say, except when you are at least 90% sure of what you are doing.

It is not a bad thing to take a loan. Many people's lives have changed with a loan. Many people have improved their lives by investing in good deeds with loans. Although there is a record of bankruptcy in some cases, it is not correct in all cases. Such banks lend us money. And because of the opportunity to get a loan from a bank, poverty has come down a lot. But yes, investing in the shit project by taking a loan is really harmful to both investor and lender.
1192  Economy / Economics / Re: Sharing and helping others on: January 14, 2022, 05:17:34 PM
Rather than that I think it's better for those who have to find out more if they are really interested in crypto,
too troublesome if it continues like that,
otherwise it's not good for them too and I hope those who are interested start to find out for themselves and follow the progress
It is best to always let those who are interested to know the risk that they’re about to take. If you are not letting them know the risks that are involved, then they are definitely going to blame you later for it. Moreover, it’s not just about them blaming you later, it is very bad on your side if you are going to introduce cryptocurrency to someone, and not let them know the risk that they’re about to take. It would be bad of you to let them lose their money, knowing very well that it is not their plan.

But, when they are aware of the risk that they are about to take, they would tread carefully, and be very sure that they wouldn’t lose their money carelessly. And every money that they are investing, they would be very sure that it is something that they can afford to lose in the market.

I agree with this point. We should warn anyone who seems to be in danger, instead of being mute. One should move forward with the help of the other. If we do not move forward today in danger of other people, no one will move forward in our danger tomorrow.
Maybe at first someone will not listen to you or believe you. But later, when he will fall into real danger, he will realize it. In addition to being careful from the next time, he will give importance to the advice or prohibition of others.
1193  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In a Democracy should the people have the right to kill their leaders? on: January 13, 2022, 05:41:56 PM
Democracy means the rights of the people in simple language. In other words, in this state system, besides the government, the people also have the right to elect the government, to express their views.
In a democracy, the people have the right to select the government of their own choice and to reject the government if they do not like the functions of the government.

 But murder !!!

Do they have the right to kill their leader at all?
If history were to come to light, there would be a number of such incidents where the people were forced to kill their leader in the end to stop his arbitrariness.
During the bourgeois revolution in France, the castle of Bastille collapsed and the people killed the French emperor.
But in the present time, it can be said that this system has changed.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 13, 2022, 01:01:12 PM
It was really great to see another El Clasico in the Super Cup semi finals. Maybe we don't have most of the old players at Barcelona especially anymore but it was still a very competitive game and I enjoyed it surely. Barcelona gave their best even though Real Madrid were the favourite team to win and advance. Barcelona found the equalizer two times and had the 2-2 score. But in the extra time, Real Madrid got 3-2 ahead and Barcelona weren't able to equalize it again. Real Madrid are in the finale now but I appreciate Barcelona's performance also.
I was surprise with final score on el clasico because few minutes left Madrid lead 1-2 from Barcelona but Ansu Fati make it different and scoring one goal again to make score draw 2-2 and match going on with extended although Valverde success give one goal for Madrid and take to final Spain Super League, I don't see Barcelona team right now as favorite to win in this clasico because they have out from la liga candidate to get trophy and now out from top four position standing. Have been over for Barcelona in this season and keep working hard how to back top four position qualify for Champion league next year.

The Ansu Fati equalizer made me think that the match will go to overtime but Fede Valverde gave RMA the win by scoring the last minute possible - 98th minute. But overall Barcelona played really good football after quite a long time. I have to say that Even though RMA won the game and get to go to the finals, Barcelona clearly played better than them and I would say that they deserved the win.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 13, 2022, 10:19:24 AM
250 plus will not be an easy target for South Africa. I am not sure how long Pujara will stay in the pitch but hoping Kohli to stay their longer. Still a lot of batting left and I think they will easily add 200 more runs to the existing lead of 70 runs.

Maybe 250 runs will be enough to win if the Indian bowler performs well like in the first innings. But India will not be able to stay in the safe zone by giving a target of 250 runs. The bowlers have to fight hard and the bowlers have to fulfill their responsibilities well. But if they can deliver targets of more than 300, India will definitely win. It is very difficult to win by batting for 300 runs on such a pitch.

Kohli did well in the first innings, so don't think he will play well in the second innings. No Indian batsman's performance can be predicted for sure now. All batsmen have lost their consistency.

India to have a lethal bowling unit but I also think that if they want to be really 'safe', they need to surpass 250 runs. Right now they lead 116 runs with 4 wickets gone. Kohli and Pant are on the crease right now. Kohli is playing the anchor role as he scored 27 of 118 balls and Pant is playing the aggressive role as he scored 39 runs with a strike rate of about 80. Another thing to note is SA gave away 24 runs in extras including 8 no-balls, which is a lot in my opinion.

SWIFT is a huge messaging network used by banks and other financial institutions to exchange information quickly, accurately, and securely.

The issue of US sanctions against Russia is not new, And it is in this conflict that US President Joe Biden has called for Ukraine to be removed from Russia, And it is known that Russia may be excluded from Swift if such sanctions are imposed on Russia. However, it will have a major impact on the Russian economy.

Who should be blamed for “that”, President Erdogan? You want everyone to hold the Turkish Lira, while your cabal inflate and deflate the currency according to your “mood”.

Bitcoin is the back up/fall back that we need.

As we all know, public finances are an important part of the economy.

In this case, we can use the statement of economist Musgrave,
Quote
"The most complex problem that revolves around government revenue and expenditure is called public finance."

Government control over the economy is needed to manage the economy of any country. If the government loses this control the people of that country will face a big problem in their lives and the collapse of that country is inevitable.
1198  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can politics be pure? on: January 12, 2022, 12:57:37 PM
Politics can never be pure because politicans are easily corrupted.

True, politicians are very bad people and without any feeling for others, they do anything for money and power, they are capable of killing hundreds of people to stay in power and have a lot of money. we can see this in so many wars that exist in every corner of the world. What shocks me the most is how most people delude themselves with politicians. One of the main weapons that politicians use is religion, yes, politicians use religion to make their people meek

Can politics be pure, honest? This often makes us think Politics is something that is never completely pure, And now politics has reached a stage from which it is foolish to expect to return to a state of purity. The names of politicians are at the top of the list of FBI. Because they are the most corrupt. They think of ordinary people and never try to understand.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your purpose in life. on: January 12, 2022, 12:40:11 PM
As Franky said, at least for me too, the most vital of all, is to find what truly fulfills you, otherwise, you're likely to live a regretful life, no matter how much money you might earn. Studies have also shown, that from a certain amount of money and upwards, it doesn't affect your happiness. On the other hand, I don't truly believe that there's such a thing as "finding purpose". Our purpose should focus towards finding what truly interests us, something which not all of us have gone through yet (I haven't), if that's about being an entrepreneur, an investor or a first responder, it doesn't matter, as long as it's fulfilling for us.

You know, the biggest question we've heard since childhood is
What is the purpose of your life?
What do you want to be when you grow up?

We would answer the question of whether we understood the meaning or not. We want to be a doctor, we want to be an engineer bla ba bla...

But slowly as age begins to increase This question makes us think when it comes to maturity
What do I want to be in life?
What is the purpose of my life?

As I said in my childhood, I will be a doctor and an engineer
Do you really want that to happen?

Is earning money the only purpose of life?
No, it's not The purpose of our life should be what makes our life imaginative Which gives us peace of mind through good deeds.
1200  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is religion necessary for humans? on: January 12, 2022, 12:36:36 PM
What better way to keep human desires, wants, hopes, morals in check, if not through the practice of religion? I do believe that the way in which it has been packaged, both to suit personal gratification and to keep supposed humans with certain inclinations in check, is both rewarding whichever way one looks at it. Was it not said that 'religion is the opium of the people?' Well, Imagine a society without schools, churches, mosques, and other character fine-tuning institutions, where only opium is actually a accessible for all regardless of age, status or other parameters, what do you think is the fate of such a society In the long run?
Religion is not compulsory but necessary for humans.

What we mean by religion is to engage in the worship of a person who has a certain code of conduct, morality, and strong faith. If the question is whether religion is necessary for people?

Then it is safe to say, "Yes, it is necessary."

No one becomes a perfect human being just through formal education, religious education is also needed. Religious education makes a person an ideal person, keeps away from bad deeds, establishes peace in society. If religion did not exist people did not have fear of the hereafter. So, our civilization is better than this society. It would have been destroyed by being engulfed in violence, So in my opinion religion is necessary for human beings.
