Just an FYI for anyone who who doesn't know exactly what is entitled to you or under what regulation I'll post this for you.

http://www.business.ftc.gov/documents/bus02-business-guide-mail-and-telephone-order-merchandise-rule

Obviously AMT isn't aware of this, or more likely doesn't care as they've not followed many steps of this rule including the prompt return of requested refunds in one week, via us first class mail. I know my request hasn't been honored nor has many of your own, but I figured it might as well be laid out exactly how that process should look.

Anyway, the government can sue them for $16,000 for each violation. So it really is in their best interest to make with the refunds. I'm sure there are competent manufactures who would love to buy the hardware they have and produce miners to sell themselves.

Any way this ftc document makes for a dry but interesting read.

It is entirely in AMT's best interest to refund their customers.  That is plain and obvious.

The problem with AMT may be that they have the funds tied up in manufacturing and operation and can't give a refund unless they do sell new units.  They can't sell new units if they can't show proof of delivery or can't sell them at a competitive price.  They can't delivery because they can't seem to build reliable systems.  the system they sent to Phin appears to have one board not working.  That's the show model!!!!

It is anyone's guess if they can fix their problems.   Bitmine.ch their supplier seems to have similar problems delivery problems ( they at least have shipped ).   Anyway,  this entire thing looks to me like a complete disaster.  Wasted too much time on this already.   I'll wait to have the legal folks to resolve this.... no need to waste any more time trying to get into the bottom of this.    The facts are clear... AMT has not delivered and if they do, AMT would have delivered very late to not make ROI.

NEX seems like a clone of NXT. Maybe I am wrong.

If NEX was a clone, then we would have released it at least a month ago.
OK, you mean the NEX is not base on the NXT ?
You are creating a new coin ?
OK, I am interested, I will keeping watching this.
But I have watched the coin since I joined the btt .
I think you should give a update about the progress.

If is was just a clone for Nxt then we could have released it at least a month ago.  But we examined the code for Nxt and was not very impressed that it was as secure as Bitcoin.

We also stumbled upon a very large technical gap with all 2nd generation coins that needed to be addressed.  Let's say 2nd generation coins are coins that have colored coin capability (i.e. Nxt, Mastercoin, Counterparty) and exchange capability.  There is one area that they are overlooking that is fundamental to Bitcoin, so we decided to focus in this area too.... so you might say this is a 3rd generation coin.

Well, show is over. Guys, don't wait for NEX coz u waste ur time. Better look at Ethereum.

Ethereum is nice... but it is going to be very expensive when it comes out.

NEX isn't expensive and is similarly as innovative.

Sure,  Ethereum wants to spin this idea of a 'Turing Machine',  it's interesting but not sure how innovative that really is.   Anyway,  NEX will have something completely different.

Yeah right.  Even nem is well ahead of you.  And look at your head start.  You keep saying same thing

NEM has a nice logo and nice t-shirts.
1185  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 30, 2014, 12:40:01 AM
Actually... Those here who paid with bitcoins already have the AMT wallet address stored in their wallet transactions log.

Not that it matters much. Hell I have at least 5 addresses I use just to keep track of what pool is paying into it.

Bitcoin purchases were via BitPay,  so you aren't going to be able to trace where all the Bitcoin went.
1186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 30, 2014, 12:35:17 AM

Ready for some good news? Seriously! Not kidding!

Josh told me that soon the bitcoin rate exchange will go up due to Avalon and BitFury about to flood the market with some sort of chips, thus they're going to somehow get said rate up to make their chips more viable, thus hoping to sell a shitload of them. If I heard that rumor from anybody else besides Josh, I probably wouldn't relay it. Ironically, this is one thing that came outta Josh's trap that I may be inclined to believe. Those in the know would be able to dissect this information, for I'm just the messenger.

Well we already know that Bitmain is flooding the market with their devices.  Driving prices down to $3 per GHs.   Bitmine.ch and AMT will need to respond if they even hope to be in business.

It is indeed possible that Avalon2 and Bitfury devices both at 55nm could go the Bitmain route.

What I don't see is how Josh see's this as a good thing.

Manufacturing IT hardware has rarely been a good business to be in.  It is just too competitive.

Feel sorry for these folks who are without a clue about this business.

You signed in with the wrong account.. again. Wink

FC = NEX

solracx = ZTC

Tongue

Go to www.zenithcoin.com .... what does it say at the bottom of the page?

We are the original developer of the coin.  However, the coin now has been taken over by a new owner.

Bruno, check yer PM's.

Anyone want me to head over to Frederick to inspect the machine with a couple of tools?

Curious if we might be able to pull data off that miner, and reveal AMT's wallet information.

Curious how much mining they have been doing themselves.

They say they aren't miners, but if they are truly 'taking a loss on this operation' - i'm sure they'd be mining their asses off to make up for it.

As for the loans against their houses, I would be willing to bet 100% that's a lie.

Where would find the miner information?  Likely all you will find is a pool account which is of no value to anyone.
1191  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 29, 2014, 08:30:02 PM
Bruno did you ever run into those elusive customer service agents, like Alyssa trusten?? Lol
Actually, could you give us a quick breakdown on what you saw and how many people were involved?

Two other guys in the office: Jim Brown and another guy named Rob. No Alyssa Trusten. Breakdown forthcoming.

Robert Parker?

Can anyone explain to me why is non customers getting our paid for units?

"he drove a long way to come see us" - AMT

Can anyone explain why filming a confession is more important than filming the miner hashing?

www.ixcoin.co and www.zenithcoin.com are two coins that I've worked on.

On the contrary,  CFB has never developed a coin... all he has ever done was write a bad user interface for Nxt.

iXcoin and ZenithCoin were created by other guys. Ur own project - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=387363.0 - what about it?

Yeah right... ask the folks at iXcoin or ZenithCoin about who does the technical work for them.

In other words, you confirm they were not your projected but just worked on them (among other people). Your own projects are never completed.

You are trying to re-interpret what I just said?  If you need specifics, ask those two communities.

Sometime projects need to placed on hold due to other priorities,  that's just how it is with the namecoin project.

Can you give us a update so that we can know what are you doing
When it come out ?
I am patient, but, I want you to update the info about the coin.
I will keep watch the coin.

FrictionlessCoin has not completed a single project yet. He started few ones but delivered none. Odds of the success r very low, so don't expect a lot.

All I am saying is its utterly retarded to be discussing ANYTHING of a legal nature in a public forum. For football fans thats like giving away the playbook. That being said...again I am holding out for my miner. They clearly have them they are clearly making them. Figure I will hold out and see what happens. There are still 3 days left for me to hear back from them about anything. If they are going to be late (which is presumed at this point) I would just like to know and know why. I would be ok with getting a disassembled miner if it meant I got my order faster (as I emailed and posted earlier). But they are not responding any more at this point today. Hopefully they are just working out how to do that and make it up to the people who were expecting a fully assembled device.

There were 2 technical reasons that were mentioned that may be responsible for the delay.

(1) 1 in every 8 coincraft A1 chips are claimed to be defective.  Which should not be an issue since you should be able to test a chip before you mount in on the board!  Anyway, they appear to have the software compensate for the flawed device Still bogus since why would anyone accept a board with 1 or 2 chips that are defective?

(2) Lack of power supplies.   We do know there is a shortage since every miner manufacturer is demanding these power supplies.   It is kind of like AMD GPU a month ago,  you could not buy one even if you wanted to.
1198  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 10:43:36 PM
\I'm taking a neutral stance here. They seem to be legit but over their heads. That much is clear. Whatever the case for my part I wont keep making this worse by requesting a refund just yet. Obviously the hardware exists and it obviously works. Sadly we got to find out the way we had to but it is what it is at this point. For my part I am going to make the most of the situation if it gets me my miners. If not well thats a whole other thing, but it sounds likely I will get a miner at some point soon (2 weeks reasonably speaking?)

What I keep telling them is that it is better to give a refund that to actually delivering the units.

If AMT can't deliver,  then that's going to look to everyone as wire-fraud.  The penalties are much steeper than not delivering and sending back a refund.

I can't see how stalling about a refund helps their situation.

You heard the news,  Bernie Maddow's employees also are going to jail for perpetuating a fraud.  AMT employees should start seriously thinking about this.

1199  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 10:21:28 PM
Not to rub salt into anyone's wounds but did you know that right now over at CEX.io you can buy 1THs of cloudmining for just a smidge over $5000 or 10BTC?  And you would be hashing immediately.

Crazy how the tides have turned!  This doesn't bode well for anyone still waiting on a hardware preorder.   Undecided

1th at 5000 will never pay off, even with no power cost.

Just pointing out the fact that preorder 1THs miners are worthless now that you can get immediate cloudmining for the same price.

I just spent 6 BTC about a week ago on a BitMain S2 1THs miner to arrive in April.  And before it arrives, CEX.io prices will probably be lower still.  In-stock is now absolutely the only option!  Even the quick turn-around BitMain/Spondoolies et al. are looking silly if cloudhashing can get close to matching the price.

Bitmain is $518 for 180 GHs.  That is like $3/GHs
CEX.io is $5.25/GHs.
Cointerra is $2.99/Ghs ... delivery June 2014.

Nobody is his right mind should be buying a pre-order.

We are totally screwed by AMT.   Best chance right now is to take them to court on the MPP.
1200  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 10:06:00 PM

up and running fully hashing.

Crap.... the Controller is at 92%.  Not enough head room to cover an additional board.
