It looks like the clowns at SA have finally thrown in the towel on their very unfunny "comedy" troll thread.

Lets make a pact everyone? If BTC's ever go to 1000K, lets pull a few coins together, buy out their shitty forum, and ban everyone in it.

Now that would be some comedy fucking gold.

"I'm gonna get rich, then you're so going to regret picking on me."

Really? That's what it's come down to?
Don't get your panty's all up in a bunch LOL. Why the fuck are yall so worried for anyways? Based on SA's calculations BTC should be worth about $.0010 right now, and def not a threat of ever reaching 100USD by any standards. WHY YOU SCARED BRAH? LOL Cheesy

1184  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitrustica - The new virtual democratic country that governs bitcoin on: December 15, 2011, 05:44:20 AM
Why can't we just call it the Internet? Why must we be so nerdy lol.

I can't believe I'm the one saying this, but this entire thread wreaks of immaturity and butthurtness.
It's full of lulz unlike the SA troll thread.

There is a flaw in your buyout idea. I'm driving home so I'll let you figure it out
LOL THEY DON'T TAKE BITCOIN?  Cheesy

Betcha they will if the price is right Wink.

Current status:
- Request seemed to have a reasonable idea (which he conveyed to me in private), though I think he underestimated the work that would be required of him. He never got back to me when I asked for more details, though.
- Xenland I am not sure about yet. (My fault for not following up enough.)
- FlipPro's idea of sticking with SMF appeals to me because I've grown to like many aspects of SMF. However, I still don't have a ton of confidence in the code architecture. (The DB handling is an improvement.) TweetForum seems mostly unmodified, so I'm not sure of FlipPro's experience.

The forum now has 920 BTC on hand. More bids would be welcome.
If you have that many BTC at hand you should set up a TEAM , and go for a custom built solution.

P.S Xenland's offer is one hell of a deal, and if he want's I am more than happy to help him out with any design work that he needs Smiley

I read about bitcoins on the internet. I just started mining bitcoins but I'm not getting rich very fast, I think I may be losing more money on electricity than I am gaining in bitcoins. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you're spending to much time trolling, and not enough time mining.

I haven't been there since I paid my $9.95 during my Nikki the Bitch stage. I sure do miss her!

you didn't miss anything. it's pretty much devolved from a Bitcoin forum to a "Lets everybody pic on Atlas" forum

I like the idea of buying em out.  If you ever do this, PM me and I'll put in a coin.
I give my word, if BTC's ever skyrocket (like I am sure they will) , I pledge 100 coins to buy those filthy trolls out.

EDIT: What we do with it after we buy them out is up to the community.  Grin SAVE this post TROLLS! $100 BTC = Pure pwnage of SA

I am eagerly waiting for something like this to come out. I am unfortunately to busy working on my own projects to build something like this, but GLBSE sure as hell needs something like this.
1192  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum on: December 13, 2011, 09:32:57 PM
There really isn't enough coders in this community. This was one of the things that attracted me in the first place was "rent coders with Bitcoins".

Come to find out, there are only a handful of coders in this community, and the majority of them are already super busy with their own projects, and/or charge 2x more than your typical Odesk or Freelancer coder. I was honestly going to do the gig for fun, since the money (as said above) isn't worth nearly as much as the amount of time/work that will go into this.

Regardless Bitcoin has been one of my biggest motivators to simply learn how to code myself.

1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction contest: when will bitcoin break $4? or will it never break $4? on: December 10, 2011, 04:29:21 AM
Here's my optimistic prediction:

The price will briefly break $4 sometime in mid to late January.  Between January and May the price will dip back down into the 2s.  Between May and July the price will peak, possibly even reaching new all-time highs.  By December 2012 the price will have settled in the $6-8 range.

PROUDHON SAYS PRICE IS GOING UP! SKY IS FALLING

That was my optimistic prediction.  Wanna hear my realistic prediction?
Whats the realistic prediction?
1198  Other / Meta / Re: "Position: SCAMMER"... wtf? on: December 10, 2011, 04:01:36 AM
I think the "scammer" label is a joke...

it would be a joke if he refunded his customers which has been clearly stated that he will not (unless that's a general statement)
Self-admitted scammers should be banned from our community... This is going back to some weird political ideology that the forum is trying to push, and it's not good for Bitcoin...

If it weren't for me sharing myself on this forum like I do, I would not of met the love of my life. A lot of it is due to our lovely friends on the SomethingAwful forum. She is a member of that forum and she used to casually browse it. She stumbled upon the Bitcoin thread and eventually me through the goon's commentary. It started with emails over a month's time and eventually daily phonecalls. Now she has become one of the closest people in my life.

The funniest thing is she is a self-proclaimed Marxist while I'm an absolute individualist, yet we both recognize the same problems in our society. We just wish to evoke change through different means. It's as if differences don't really exist...

Anyways, I regret nothing and this place has been permanently burned into my heart. Ironically, this applies to SomethingAwful as well although I've been banned from there two times for "libertarianism".

Just consider this a big thank you.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez
Glad to hear you finally got a girlfriend. To bad she is a goon  Tongue !
A lot of the goons aren't half bad. Heh, anyways, thanks.
The cyber bullying on that site has become nauseating. Glad you found one nice person from there. I'm sure the majority of users on SA are decent people just looking for a good laugh, but as always the most vocal ones seem to be the most god-awful trolls I've ever seen before...
