Bonuses are being added on the fly, when you were depositing for example 1 BTC through the first 24 hours of the ICO , your Waves balance was calculated as if you were depositing 1.2 BTC up to the last seconds of the first 24 hours. Now when someone is depositing 1 BTC, his Waves balance will be calculated as if he was depositing 1.1 BTC until the last of April. All Waves balances will be changing in your accounts up to the last day of the ICO while new investors are coming. If I am correct there is no numbers and precise model announced yet but all nodes will be rewarded. They say it will be implemented trough lending your assets/tokens. And I didn't like the word "lending"-it rises centralisation sensation inside my small brain  There will be and need to be full nodes of course above lite clients. Focus is mainly on the end-user that`s why are mentioning lite client more often. Users who want to use only lite version wil be able to choose a full node to lease their balance to and they will still receive the rewards, but at the same time transactions become much faster as full nodes process them effectively. It will be new implementation of POS with new scalability approach to be revealed in the tech paper. At the same time we will enable ALL users to get incentives from the network. There'll be competition between the nodes that process the transactions and anyone will be able to run full node also. The rules will be the same and known for everyone. Yes, full nodes necessary for network to function and the end users are Waves one of the focal points .But will the light clients will have literally lend their funds to be rewarded or it's just technical mumbo-jumbo? Of course, if you want to get part of the rewards from full node you need to lease your balance or part of your balance to it. You should have some balance to get rewards from the network, don`t you think ? |

I had wondered what was behind the name of Yuri Gagarin. Thanks everyone for de-mystifying the mystery. Though I guess a little mystery still remains. For sure, there are 16 team members atm, including 3 Gagarins, not counting partners and cooperators. That's quite a large team before a launch. It could go either way. From the experience of some other coins, I could advise you to keep your burn low, even though you raised a lot in the ICO. These things burn quickly, and you may be left with a half-baked product without any development funds. Just my 2cents. We have it in mind. |

Waves is not clone of NXT or SuperNET, or anything else. Some concepts from many projects are enhanced and are inspiration. Waves team is building first production system on top of Scorex framework where Waves token will be the fuel of whole platform and all transactions happening there, from issuing the assets, through transfer, depositing and withdrawing other supported currencies on the platform. Focus is on custom asset creation, lite client, end-user, no blockchain download, decentralized exchange, asset-asset trading, fiat assets, working with payment providers from the start and being decentralized kickstarter at the same time. Waves will have own transaction types also. Other features and apps/plugins center will be appearing in meantime. What happened to POS?
