Manchester United form in the Europa league  have been at top level,  they have only lost one and won 5 games. The playoff fixture against Barcelona will be test of their consistency level because it looks like they are finally finding the balance under Ten Hag's management. Manchester United perform better against top teams and Barcelona will be no different from others but it is a 50/50 game and anyone could win.
United has been starting to be even more mature. The new united under ten hag has become a new form of united which has been fulfilled by so many young talented players. it can be considered as the most difficult match for MU. Barcelona has a very good result in h2h against MU. this is the time for MU to break such rumour if MU was an easy opponent for barcelona. this gonna be death battle for both. I think that i will pick MU in this case seeing from the impressive performance in EPL.
MU is also having good performance during the group qualified in europa league too. MU is so underrated at this moment.
I think Manchester United are experiencing the Ten Hag effect, I will clearly agree that Erik Ten Hag has impacted positively to the team with his disciplinary measures, his tactics and style of play is now proving productive which we can obviously see on the team's outstanding performance lately, the most surprising part of it for me is how well he has transformed Marcus Rashford to be more lethal in front of goal.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 14, 2023, 10:42:45 AM
I think the first three teams of top 4 are going to be Bayern Munich, Freiburg and Leipzig at the end of the season. Because they have had a really reliable form for a long time and it looks like they won't give up on their Champions League tickets that easy. I should even exclude Bayern Munich from those two because they are already far stronger from them and will make it to the league title as usual.

When it comes to the fourth member of top 4 I hope Dortmund make it there. Because they haven't been much good for weeks. This break should help them pull themselves together and fight harder.
I expected to see the name Dortmund in the starting three and it is not which is really disappointing. Talking about in form teams in the Bundesliga and Dortmund is not mentioned doesn't look good in any way. I wonder what the priorities of the club management are, because for a big team like Dortmund this level of performance is not acceptable and should be looked into. I also hope they will be able to make top four at the end of the season.

So frustrating for Porter. He needed defenders, he has gotten, and he needed attackers he has gotten, and now the club is not doing well. Many are saying that midfield is the major challenge. Even if Chelsea's significant midfielders are on injury it doesn't mean that the second Choices aren't good enough to cover the pace at least till the rest players return. They are not the cause of the poor results the club is Facing. Zacharia and Kovacic made a good duo in the EPL match against man city, but they underperformed ag against Fulham. Midfield is not the cause, the moment is just bad, I believe it will be fine in subsequent times.
I think the current situation with the club now is very much similar to early parts of the season with Tuchel, same injury troubles and Tuchel wasn't so lucky to get the amount of new signings Potter had got since he joined. This are really trying times for the club and I just hope the management will learn from the mistake they made by sacking Tuchel without giving him enough time to settle in and find a solution to the problems at the time.

Some rumors about Depay now seem to be starting to interest several clubs.
Since there have been rumors that several Barcelona players will be sold in order to save on current salary expenses, Depay has started to be looked at by several clubs.
Previously, there was the name Rome, now Depay was lyrics by Atletico.
This is a little fair in my opinion. Joao's position is still vacant now and inevitably Atletico must find an alternative.
Depay's condition is also a bit favorable because at least at Atletico if this is indeed an agreement then he will get several opportunities to play bigger.
Memphis Depay is still talented and experienced player, a very important characteristic that will be needed in every team. Before the world cup I would have doubted this news but after putting up a good performance at the world cup with Netherlands what would you expect. Atletico Madrid seem to be very interested in the player judging by the number of times and places I see this headlines. Depay will fill in for Joao Felix if he joins.

Today football's rumor transfers:

Goncalo Ramos to Manchester United
Jorginho to Napoli
Marcus Thuram to Chelsea
Matteo Guendouzi to Aston Villa
Formose Mendy to West Ham
Vincent Aboubakar to Besiktas

Only Aboubakar rumor is seems high likely will come true while the other the probability is still unknown which mean they might be interested with the other clubs.

Source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/statistik/aktuellegeruechte
The most current rumour going round is the Vincent Aboubakar to Besiktas rumours. It is so disappointing to see his contract with Al Nassr terminated after the signing of Ronaldo to the club. At this point the former Al Nassr striker will be looking for a possible destination in this January window so if Besiktas are really interested in the player I think it is likely that the deal can happen for the right wages and contract conditions.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 12, 2023, 04:33:19 PM
Pep and his men didn't get difficult fixtures and with their good form this season they are expected to reach the finals because either of psg and Bayern will drop on the way and either of Liverpool or Madrid will also drop on the way. Before you will understand big teams will all be eliminated and manchester city will be at the finals

I wouldn't underrate any team in the Champions league. There is still lots of action, Manchester City might be at top form now and winning games in the English Premier league but when it comes to the Champions league it a whole different case. Every team gives their best and surprisingly Manchester City could be knocked out of the race as the competition goes into the finals.

After winning the world cup trophy with the Argentina national team, Messi next target is to win the Champions League trophy with PSG. PSG has a good squad to win this championship. The front line they currently have can be a threat to Bayern Munich.
Bringing home the Champions League trophy to France has been PSG dream for a long time. After forming a team with quality players, PSG opportunities are very open. Bayern Munich must be careful with the squad that PSG currently has, especially since the attack line filled with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar is very dangerous when in the opponent's defense area.

It will be a big achievement if Messi can win the champions league with PSG, Messi fans have high expectations and praying that their GOAT wins the Champions League too. That will be Messi making another history at this stage of his career, if this happens he will go down in the history of the club as one of the greatest.

<snip>

Pchettino was not so good as manager. Totenham didn't perform so well under him. Brendan rogers were also the worst choice from the list. Mourinho seems a bit better but zidane will become the best choice for chelsea. Zidane being hunted by so many clubs in the world. Even some big countries have been offering him the job to be a coach for their football team but zidane has been refusing it. That will be far better to see him to be a new manager for cheslea. Tuchel is focusing with the international career.
Todd was making a mistake and he shall not repeat it again by signing tuchel back and sacked him for second times. I think that lampard must be included in the management not for the coach.
Chelsea have been so unlucky with picking managers in recent years and the it seems now that sacking Thomas Tuchel was a very wrong move for Chelsea because he has been the only successful manager for the club in recent years. I have always argued the sacking of Thomas Tuchel came too early and he should have been given more time to figure things out and try to turn the situation around but Chelsea opted for Potter who until now is still struggling to get results. I really doubt Zidane will be open to a move to Chelsea especially at this tough times, he wouldn't want to risk being sacked like others.

Along with Mohammed Salah, he is one of the most valuable football players in the Premier League, but if he does not leave Tottenham, he will complete his career without winning any important cup. I think he should go to one of the cup monster teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. I think every quality football player would like to see one or more cups in his archive. Actually, I would like him to stay in the English Premier League. Manchester United or Newcastle United could be a good option for him. He can continue his successful career by staying in the Premier League. I think there are a lot of options for him but he should definitely leave Tottenham now and go to a more ambitious team.
Indeed Harry Kane is the most valuable player Spurs have on their side and it will be so difficult for them to let him leave the club. Spurs are struggling this season and they need their key player in the team. Despite the many options Kane has, I will also like Harry Kane to remain at the club because he will always be a competition for other strikers in the league and make them put in their best to be in the race for the golden boot trophy.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 12, 2023, 10:38:13 AM
Lewandoski has pretty much made his mark while playing for Barcelona. I initially had thought it would be a tough one for the club to find a replacement following Messi’s leave from the club. But Lewandoski has proved to be a prolific striker and goal scorer, scoring about 13 goals so far. He has proven to be able to adapt and fit into Barcelona style of play. Barcelona may not feel the absence of Messi with Lewandoski around.
He may still be settling in, but he seems to have settled in already and already very comfortable in a Barcelona shirt.
Robert Lewandowski has scored 19 goals for Barcelona in 21 appearances in 3 different competitions. In 15 appearances in Laliga Robert Lewandowski has scored 13 goals, while he has also scored 5 goals in the Champions League this season in 5 appearances. So, whoever says Lewandowski isn't good enough then I think they just want to see him bigger this season with Barcelona. Everything is fine, but I'm really sorry about the ban he's getting at the moment.

I don't know how many appearances Lewandowski will have with Barcelona in Laliga, but I'm sure that in 30-50 appearances he will score more than 50 goals. That's a possibility based on Lewandowski's current performance, not a certainty of course.
Lewandowski's stats just keep going up, he never stops scoring. At this age and level in his career I was expecting a massive decline because of his age but it turns out age isn't a barrier for the Polish star with 21 goals already to his name in all competitions for Barcelona. Whoever says Lewandowski is not good enough does not know what’s he is talking about.

Football is one of the most beautiful things in the world, when everyone thought that the teams that won or time would always maintain their hegemony, that is no longer the case, on the other hand, PSG and City are one of the most famous teams that they currently have, that is why the teams now also seek to have the most famous players, in the case of PSG they have 3 great stars, and City have one of the most emblematic players like Haaland, that is something that any team would like to have, that's why now the PL is so famous, they have very good players, on the other hand in this new transfer window they have a good opportunity to acquire good chips.

Interesting:

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has recalled his early days at Barcelona to illustrate the issues facing Graham Potter at Chelsea.

Chelsea lost to Guardiola’s City for the second time in less than seven days at the weekend as they clinched a Premier League and FA Cup double over Potter’s side.

Potter is under growing pressure at Stamford Bridge, with just eight wins from 18 games, since replacing Thomas Tuchel in September.

However, Guardiola issued a word of caution to Blues owner Todd Boehly over a potential departure for Potter, based on his experiences at Barcelona in 2008.

I’d also advice that Chelsea's board should give Graham Potter more time to try to solve the issues resulting to poor performances and poor results in the team. Guardiola is right, we can also sight example from Mikel Arteta, things weren't so smooth at the beginning but with time and patience he was able to bring the team to it's current level and it took 3 seasons to get to this stage and he is still working so this thing goes through phases and it just required a little patience and trust in the manager.

I'm not sure MU will or at least draw because when we look at the odds below, MU will have face the best squad, Haaland still on fire, while Grealish has blown away his ego. while MU, i heard a news the defender Dalot got injury that possible can't playing yet in the next 2 weeks. So this derby, the MU chance win is hard, I think draw is more promise than winning.

City are the clear favorites in this game, but it's clear to me that betting on United at 4.30 is an easy bet. Firstly, United are on the rise, secondly, United this season is good in big games, and thirdly, this is a derby where the balance of power always changes in favor of an outsider. Maybe this particular game will be won by City but I am sure that United should win one of the four such games, so the odds of 4.30 are profitable.
Don't waste your money if you want to place a bet on this match, just go for Man City, Man U would disappoint you, as they've always done in the past when you trust them too much. It's true that Man U is getting better with their recent matches, but Man City knows how important this match is to them, so they will give their best feats. And with the analysis, I made since the beginning of this season and beyond, Man City will highly likely win this match. Trust me, Man U would succumb to an inferiority complex while meeting Man City.
Though it is almost certain that Manchester City is likely to win the game, I have faith Manchester United to put up a good fight against Manchester City in this fixture. Manchester United have an attitude of playing very well against top teams, just the same way Manchester United defeated Arsenal and Liverpool this season  even in their average level form. Manchester United could surprise everyone by winning the game or even a draw is likely.

It looks like the Super Cup match between Real Madrid v Valencia has started or is about to start and this is the semifinal match, and the other match that will be played tomorrow is the match between Betis v Barcelona. It looks like Real Madrid and Barcelona will play in the Super Cup final because it looks like Valencia and Betis this season are not too promising to be able to provide strong resistance for the big teams in La Liga.
So yes, I personally don't care about the strategy and the players he plays, because it looks like at this moment or this season the rivalry of Real Madrid and Barcelona will indeed continue. With the ambition to prove their quality, then of course Real Madrid and Barcelona will be able to win the match in the semi-finals of the Super Cup this time.
Benzema is back and made headlines in yesterday’s game. Real Madrid advances to the finals after defeating Valencia in a penalty shoot out. I will say Real Madrid were lucky the game finished in a draw. I couldn't believe they let a goal slip in, in favor of Valencia, I expected them to defend the goal they got and try scoring more but I was disappointed at their performance tonight. It wasn't the best of Real Madrid we saw last night and I hope they won't repeat this kind of performance in the Super Cup finals.

They are very ambitious for 3 points but it is very unfortunate that their condition in finishing is really bad, I think so many opportunities are wasted just like that.
They still find it difficult to take advantage of that even though their condition in terms of ball possession and the opportunities they get are actually very good.
17 shot and 3 on target is clearly not very good in my opinion.
Fernández made a very good save for Osasuna, Bilbao should have been able to score in this match but Osasuna defense was really tight. Indeed, statistically 17 shots without a goals is really not good for them, I see their fans disappointed in this match. Should have been able to secure three points but only one point, fortunately they didn't lose points in this match because Osasuna counter attack was really dangerous.
Actually I think that in this match Fernandez didn't really make an extra effort because if we saw only 2 shots in the first half that were dangerous and 1 shot that became a goal but was annulled in the second half.
The Williams duo at Atletic bilbao had lots of chances but they were rarely on target and most of them found it difficult to control and get into the defense because of the tightness of Osasuna's players in guarding the defense because even if we saw almost all the players were forced to stay in this match so earn 1 point.
Atletico Bilbao did their best to get a more positive result in the game, they controlled ball possession and the tempo of the game but couldn't convert their chances in the game and finished the game in a goalless draw. It wasn't a bad result in the end but either team would have cherish a win in the game. Osasuna on the other hand were very impressive defensively and didn't conceive.

Napoli beat Sampdoria unscathed and right now they want to fully concentrate on the Juventus game.  They lost 1-0 to Inter with a bad experience.  There will be compensation for this.  For now, they are focused on winning the first big game against Juventus.  The surprise of the week is the draw between Inter and Monza.  They drew 2-2 and it is quite shocking.
After break Napoli play good against Inter and now Sampdoria, but sadly they were unlucky against Inter and lost the match now things are fascinating for all top teams because we are in second half of the season which needs more intention from players and teams for having better results now if Napoli have no positive result against Juventus then surely they could be in trouble for the title race which is now wide open for the top four even Inter and AC Milan both are losing points against weaker sides which is not signal for them and can give them more problems for the top rank race.

In last few matches, Juventus doing good job and winning matches with clean sheets which is surely good for them but now this week we will have the best entertainment while Napoli will host Juventus, and we will have fair chance for watching who is going to be best for the title race in case of Juventus win things could be surely challenging.
At this time of the season which is the second half of the season, it requires so much focus and determination to fight through until the end of the season. Napoli have been outstanding this season and need to stay consistent and focused to achieve the seasons objectives. The race for the title is still open to contenders and if Napoli happen to lose their focus, then winning the league this season will not be achievable.

There's a sad news Hugo Lloris announce his retirement on international football career, so he wouldn't play for France anymore. At least he already feel become a world cup champion on 2018, although it just need one step more to become back to back champion on the previous year world cup. Well it seems Lloris is still playing for Tottenham, but I think his performance will constantly dropped since he's wouldn't trying very hard like before.

France seems already have Lloris replacement, it's Areola aka West Ham's goalkeeper. While Tottenham need to hurry up to find a good replacement since currently the other goalkeepers are have poor performance.

Source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/20990380/france-lloris-retires-international-football-tottenham/
I think he ended his international career on a high note, winning the world cup once and finishing as finalist in the just ended Qatar 2022. Even though I wish to see more of his heroic performances for France I have to accept that his time has come to an end. France will have to make a new goal keeper selection to take over in his position and Areola happens to be the next suitable candidate to step in as Lloris's replacement.

There are reports that Arsenal are edging closer to an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk over the signing of Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk. I think Arsenal are still in negotiations with their Ukraine Side but both parties seem to very close to an understanding regarding the overall cost of the transfer, which may reach the €100m mark. Some bonuses are still being discussed and the talks are to continue this week. I don’t fell alright with the money involve but if this deal pulls through, he’ll thicken their attack in the hunt for the EPL title.
To be honest I am getting tired already with this whole Arsenal-Mykhaylo Mudryk business. The negotiations are taken too long, today we hear he is close and the next day we hear that Shakhtar Donestsk are staying form to their decision to let the player leave for a fee lower than their asking price. I think Arsenal should just issue Sharkhtar Donetsk an ultimatum to agree to the deal or not so we can move on with other targets if Mudyk cannot be purchased in this transfer window.

Kane and Son are improving their performances after World Cup 2022 and they will bring more danger to Arsenal. With better Kane and Son, Tottenham have more ability to beat Arsenal.

The bottom line is they did not lose to Arsenal in mostly one decade. Will Arsenal win a first match in White Hart Lane after many years? Will Tottenham continue their good record against Arsenal at home?
Both players are very clinical strikers who are capable of inflicting pain to Arsenal.  Their last meeting was a victory for Arsenal who have been in fine form this season. I predict Arsenal will win again in the London Derby to keep their league dominance alive, they have the quality and ability to get a win in this meeting. I'm pretty sure Arteta has his tactics and strategies already planned out for this game.

"Here We Go"

Reported from Fabrizio Romano about João Félix have reached verbal agreement and move to Chelsea with loan option and earn €11m all amount pay or converted by Chelsea. I think good option and agreement deal reach both team between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea due João Félix have contract left until 2027.

Bad news for Manchester United and become second time in this window transfer compete by their rival, last week Cody Gakpo sign with Liverpool and today João Félix prefer choose with Chelsea than Manchester United, beside about salary and offering from Chelsea more excited than Manchester United, I think problem with playing at Europe League and Champion League become reason why priority with Chelsea tan Manchester United.

https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1612784167070179328/photo/1
Yes I also confirmed the news on Facebook via Fabrizio's page that Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have reached verbal agreement on a loan move for Joao Felix for €11m which Arsenal considered too much for a 6months loan move. It looks like Chelsea are hijacking the deal already and are confident they can get the deal completed in few days. Too bad Manchester United will be missing out on yet another good player in this window after missing out on Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, maybe Manchester United were not really interested in the deal after all.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 10, 2023, 08:26:45 PM
Tottenham Hotspur's uneven play makes it impossible for them to compete with Arsenal. Arsenal is the league's top team right now, and they are the favorite to defeat any opponent.
Tottenham is not the favorite in this match; even a draw would be a victory for them. Arsenal is tougher to beat because of their confidence and good defense.
Tottenham is a good team, despite their inconsistency this season. Their match against Arsenal is always difficult because they are all in North London, but based on the current team's performance so far this season, Arsenal has a chance to win, but it will be very difficult because they will be playing the match at Tottenham's home.

Arsenal has won three of their last five matches against Tottenham, while Tottenham has won the other two. Arsenal won all three matches at the Emirates Stadium, while Tottenham also won at home; this indicates that the match will be very difficult because Arsenal is in good form and will want to win, while Tottenham is playing at home, which is always a difficult ground for Arsenal.
Tottenham started very well and at the beginning of the season they seemed to be contenders and of the teams voted as favourites to win the league trophy this season but things seem to have changed and Tottenham have dropped drastically in form and are now struggling. The london Derby comes with much expectations from fans of both teams, Arsenal look to be in position to win this game except it becomes one of those bad and unlucky days and they lose. Manchester City also have an advantage in the game against Manchester United but I doubt Manchester United will make any easy for Manchester City.

Newcastle are having a fine season, one of the best season they have had in a very long time which has been made possible by the change of ownership of the club which has seen Newcastle making some big signings in recent transfer windows and have strengthened the team to a level they can now compete even against top teams in the league for the top four spot.

Arsenal are still a strong side despite failing to win Newcastle and ending in a goalless draw. Manchester City facing Manchester United in the weekend as Arsenal face Spurs this fixtures will do so much in deciding if Arsenal will extend the gap or Manchester City will close up the gap. Indeed the race for the title this season is getting so interesting as everyone is anticipating to see if Arsenal can really beat Manchester City in the race to win the trophy and stop Guardiola's intended record.

Former Wales, Tottenham and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has retired from professional football aged 33.
Bale said: "After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football.
https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/09/gareth-bale-former-real-madrid-forward-retires-from-football-aged-33.html

Gareth Bale has announced that he is retiring from football. He is only 33 years old yet. Even if he didn't play in the top leagues, I think he could continue to play football in other leagues. I think everyone agrees with me that he left football a little early. Especially when I look at stars like Ronaldo and İbrahimovic, I definitely think he left football early. His career has seen many ups and downs but he will be remembered for his three goals against Inter in the Champions League while he was playing for Tottenham.
It was unexpected to hear Gareth Bales will be retiring so early in his career, although it is understandable, at this stage of his career he is not getting the kind of play time as he would have wished for and probably he has decided to embark on a journey with a different career other than football, he’s decided to hang the boots now to pursue his plans and other endeavors. I wish him all the best, he has impacted positively to the game.
When the news about Bale's retirement was flying I thought he retired from international football which could be after non excellent world cup outing.
It was when I paid much attention that I understood that he retired in football I total.
I am not pleased with that when player like Iniesta is till playing football.
Bale would have chosen another club to pay for more 3yrs before retirement.
Same here I also thought he was retiring from international football only to be hit with the news he was retiring from professional football, it is still a shock to me at age 33 most players are still playing for top clubs and still keeping good performances and form for their various teams. We can only wish him all the best in whatever journey he takes on from here.

Jack Butland is a done deal for Manchester United on loan.

Dubravka's loan contract expired on January 1 and left the team. They must have wanted to fill his place with Butland. There have already been rumours like they were going to bring a new goalkeeper to the team. De Gea has also been speculated with leaving the team by the end of his contract in this summer. But it looks like they just want to keep the quality of goalkeepers as high as possible. Butland isn't a bad goalkeeper normally. He hasn't played in any matches this season so far. But hopefully he will stay fit and be ready for duty when the time comes.
Manchester United need a second choice goal keeper. Last month, I heard De Gea was to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract but now I hear he is considering accepting a contract extension to continue at the club, I'm not so sure how much truth there is to this but the signing of Jack Butland after the departure of Dubravka clearly indicates  Jack will be replacing Dubravka as the second Choice goal keeper for Manchester United.
