Please download the new wallet for solving the difficulty problem. It is to be resolved. The X11 and Blake algos will also work. But these algorithms will get activated at block 114,500.
With this update, you will be on the old chain till block 114,500. The current block is 114,396.

This is the revolutionary wallet update (v2.2). Only the executable is provided. Please paste it in your folder where the dlls are present.

Great news folks! We do not to create a new coin. A techie JohnJoule found the problem which was supposed to be with digishield not calculating the difficulty for multi algos properly.
The new algos will work!  I am testing it. Please do wait for sometime. I will provide an updated wallet soon.

Great , but I will not be able to update my wallet for two days, I hope it will still be ok 😉

Yea thats ok. More importantly the exchanges and miners have to update.

Could you all please comment on how many SFR do you have at present approx so we can figure out the approx total swapping amount. If you do not want to say in public, you can PM.

IMHO POS coins are bad... All POS coin I know are dead or abandoned.
I don't like POS coins.
I don't care about anonymity.

I like the SFR name, please keep it, don't use SFR2 like others failed shit coins!

Ok Tizen we will certainly keep the same name if it won't create any technical problems.

We first need to check and let you know.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 11:20:43 AM
SFR is not a bad one, it has some features.
if u want to make a new one, should at least keep the name.
coz if u use SFR2,, well, its doomed.

by the way, i still have 1396 SFR, if u keep the name, i might still in.
but if u change into SFR2, I am out and will donate to the dev.
give me address then.

most of people like quick money.. but DEV shouldnt be one of them.
no coin was born BIG. and all big ones they came through a long way.
promote, fix bugs, make improvements and developed...
algo is not the key to success, delicate and royal DEV is all that matters.
ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN ONE DAY.

I am sorry if you think I am behind money, if i was, i bought a lot at 20-50 sat and I would have sold everything right now at 100 sat and still have a good profit and would have bid goodbye. But when we took up this project, it was not about getting on a good exchange and dump it and get rich. It was about sustaining and actually create a change.

At present algos do matter because scrypt is almost dead. We need the current hottest algo especially in this Summer.

I guess you still haven't got the impression that moving to another coin is the cause of bugs. It is only to include new algos that are running hot at the moment. We thought the new algos would kick in automatically after the hardfork but after a lot of digging around and finding the problem, it was not technically possible. We apologize for that.

Well yea thanks for the input of keeping the name. But for that, i need to get in touch of all the pools to stop mining and upgrade completely. I still have to hear from Zeuspool. There should be no trace of old SFR anywhere else.

We could keep it as a relaunch of SaffronCoin. Maybe swapping of coins wouldn't be necessary then.

But we need to work on whether it is ok to keep the same name or change it.

We are doing this only for the new algos since scrypt is almost dead. X11/X13 and blake are the ones that are going to rule for the next couple of years.

I guess we can now confirm that we will be going for a new coin. Whether the name will be retained or whether it will be SFR2 is yet to be decided once we see the technicalities involved in it. Please give a day's time for that.

There could be an anonymity feature but no POS. That would change the entire meaning of the coin.
