1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 28, 2023, 06:36:48 PM
The most important lesson which we have learnt in the year 2023 is that don't ever blindly trust any influencer as no one can predict crypto movement accurately those so called influencers just wants to make money by selling you premium channels, always do your own research and do data back testing to understand how the market will play.

Second most important thing which we have learnt is that we need to keep accumulating bitcoin regardless of market conditions as the is the safest method which eradicates risk factor to an extend.

Thirdly, We should gradually start moving away from Centralized exchanges as there were numerous controversies regarding CEX this year.
1182  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: are there any bitcoin faucets nowadays !! on: December 27, 2023, 09:06:11 PM
Nah, it isn't worth our time as the rewards are way too little and it would take ages for us to reach the withdrawal limit. Those gone are gone and it's been years, I was bit surprised even to hear the word "faucet". Please take my sincere advise and don't waste your time in faucets and rather start exploring different ways of earning as the link has been shared by one of the user but you can go ahead and offer the services which you can cater because faucets is just a wate of time.
1183  Economy / Economics / Re: Ditching US dollar on: December 27, 2023, 07:42:03 PM
They had been trying something like this for a while but I don't think they will have any success because both Iranian Rial and Russian Rubble as dead and will never be accepted by any other countries. Indeed Russia and Iran have really good relationship but they cannot do much by trading in their local currency instead of USD. May be they can just create a new ecosystem backed by something like gold or minerals and use that as trading choice.

Unless there are other major oil and gas exporters like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, USD will not see any impact even if Russia and Iran ditch USD all together.
1184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it give fuel to skyroket for btc ? on: December 27, 2023, 07:11:24 PM
This is a very generic article but stating there has been push to the value of XRP? No way there hasn't been much happened with XRP and Spot ETF factor has played ita role in giving the much needed boost to the value of Bitcoin but I don't think we should be entirely linking the growth of Bitcoin to it as there are other major factors like upcoming halving.

As far as China is concerned we cannot trust them as they will be pro Bitcoin today and stunch enemy tomorrow but Nigerian market will have a role to play.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 27, 2023, 06:08:53 PM
You don't invest based on how many thousands of dollars Bitcoin is worth but when you invest you think that this investment is just your start and that's how you keep investing. When you can convince the mind like this, the mind will be much stronger and you will be able to have enough confidence in the investment. I think $2,000 is a pretty good amount of money to invest. Most investors start their investments with much less money than this. It is not important how much money you start investing but whether you are able to make your investment consistently. If a sudden investment of five thousand dollars can be invested continuously for four years, then it is possible to accumulate more money by investing continuously than by suddenly investing.

This is the mistake most of the newbie make as just by looking at the price of Bitcoin or even any other coin if it's high they think that the price will not increase any further and they consider shit coins valued few cents or under $1 with the foolish mindset that it will reach the same value as Bitcoin and they would get huge returns. Education about how the value of crypto cannot reach beyond a limit should be understood and people should have idea about market cap and all.

$2k is a good amount of investment if utilized properly.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solana - Is it still good to buy or it's FOMO on: December 27, 2023, 05:22:53 PM
solana price has risen very high from its lowest price, and it is probably not the right time to buy because the increase is no longer significant to make a big profit.
if you want to buy it's better to wait for the price to decline first or correct the price first because next year the halving price of almost all coins will definitely go up again.

from the ATH recorded like this back 2 years ago seems like Solana is moving
high in the last 3 months of the year

All-time high
Nov 07, 2021 (2 years ago)
$260.06

that is so much higher than what is the value now so i believe that we are
not seeing any "Very High from its Lowest Price"

If we are to consider from the aspect of Solana all time high then we may say that we are still a long way far away from there in dip, but looking at it's recent performance, we can also draw a concl that it's making moves to regain back it position from last all time high and from the way it's appearing, there's more possibilities that if it keep on rising as it has started this way, we are likely to get to $200 or more with Solana market price before next year halving.

There are possibilities for SOL going past $200 but we have missed the rally as we should have taken entry when it crossed over $20 but infact I sold it around $24 after taking entry around $8. Now it has increased so much and that too at the rapid pace, If you look at the time taken from crossing $50 and $100 it was real quick and that's when more doubt arrives in the mind whether we still have the time or it's FOMO.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: December 27, 2023, 05:00:36 PM
A degree without the knowledge is pretty much useless and will not help you in any way even to find a job so thinking about starting a business its no, no for me. But if you are already having a successful running company or something and you lack the knowledge about expanding it further that is when the degree wil practically useful but it can be done by hiring someone with the degree and extracting the information from them and the founder can concentrate on basic things while ensures the security of the business.
Knowledge is great power and degree does not in practical life. I saw many people who made a company without  any degree and they became successful in their field. I also saw many people they are academic educated  but they are not able to build any computer and I saw people who have a degree of BBA but they are failed to get a job in good company. I saw many people who are academic educated and they also built their company and they achieved a huge success in World of business. Success depends on your interest in  your field
And someone who gets knowledge of something with interest become successful because degree is just a piece of paper that can't write your fate. Consistency in any field is  a key to success .

True, Skill is all that matters but for some growth gets hindered just because we are not graduated from top tier colleges because I have seen the difference in payout between MBA graduates from ordinary colleges and top tier colleges, top companies hires from top tier colleges. There shouldn't be any bias in our education system as same quality of education should be provided to everyone and skill should be considered. The stories you hear about college drop outs starting companies and becomes billionaire are just good for motivation but in real life it's different.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose, arrange and create your portfolio of altcoins on: December 27, 2023, 03:08:25 PM
Appreciate you are thinking on these line of diversifying your portfolio but it won't work as you may end up losing it all.

No one can be 100% or can give accurate guidance because accurate speculation is a myth and I would suggest you to go ahead with Altcoins which has promising projects and a professional developer team who has already achieved something in life, basically I am asking you to do research on the team who's behind altcoins but this would be difficult task hence I would suggest you to first list down the altcoins which you think would work (excluding mes and NFT) then start doing research. Else stick to Bitcoin and even if you want to do this experiment then do it with seasoned altcoins not new ones.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: biggest misconception about Cryptocurrency? on: December 27, 2023, 01:20:37 PM
The biggest misconception about crypto currency has been it's a get rich quick scheme, people often thinks that they will become millionaires overnight and this is one of the biggest reason why people lose money on crypto currency and end up hating crypto and creating fud.

The second biggest misconception about crypto is that people still thinks that whichever coin are prices lower has chances of giving huge returns as they have zero knowledge on the facts like market cap, total supply.

1190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will be your trading strategy for crypto in 2024? on: December 26, 2023, 07:53:18 PM
There has been a lot going through my mind and I would be accumulating all the methods which brought me profit in 2023 and will be avoiding the mistakes I made. I would be making some decisions like strictly no futures trading in 2024 and will be dividing my trading strategy into three parts, first one would be multiple trading for short profits which should accumulate to atleast 2% profit everyday, second method would be hodling the promising Altcoins by buying them when they dump hard to maximize on profits and the third option would be experimenting with new altcoins like stocking them up once the new about them being listed on big exchanges like Binance are announced for some quick 20%+ profits.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlockSafu - legit or scam? on: December 26, 2023, 07:36:39 PM
I have seen some bonus and offers for pre sales of a project named coinRexx and i did some research and couldn't find anything unique about this project but it was marketed as audited by BlockSafu which made me but suspicious as I haven't heard much about BlockSafu and then when I researched about BlockSafu I didn't get satisfactory outcome hence just wanted to check if you have any idea about BlockSafu because it looks like a shady auditing firm to me, I may be wrong hence checking with you all.

BlockSafu is supposed to be an auditing firm that verifies the security and quality of smart contracts and blockchain projects. However, I could not find any evidence of their credentials, expertise, or reputation. Their Twitter account has only 16 followers and their last tweet was on December 23, 2022. Their website is also very basic and does not list any of their clients, projects, or reports. They claim to have a token called BSAFU, but it has no trading volume, no liquidity, and no market cap.

Based on these facts, I would be very cautious about investing in or trusting BlockSafu. It seem to be either very new and inexperienced or very shady and deceptive. I would recommend doing more research and looking for more reputable and transparent projects and auditors in the crypto space. Hope this helps.

I had the same feeling because I couldn't find much details about it's teams or reputations or even a single testimonials from any good projects which brings back my attention to project coinRexx I just saw it under bounty & bounty signature campaigns as follows:

Bounty Signature Campaign- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478452.0
Bounty Campaign- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478057.0

All this started when I came across this project and there I figured out BlockSafu which looks shady. I think I should take a pause this time and try reaching out to BlockSafu team for some details in regards to them to see if they can justify their nature of business and how they operate.

1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Accomplished What Brought You to Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2023, 07:24:13 PM
It's in progress but Bitcoin has definitely improved my standard of living and now I atleast have luxury of having frequent vacations or to buy stuffs for my family members which a middle class person has to think multiple times and decide but I am yet to reach the stage due to which I got into Bitcoin but soon I will reach there are every year I am getting closer to the goal of having my own business with the money I make from Bitcoin and set up something like apartments which will give me recurring income.
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL!! the origin story on: December 26, 2023, 06:36:05 PM
This happens with everyone when they join the forum and see people saying things like "Hodl", "Hodl till bull run", initially it felt like there is some other meaning since nobody is aware about this funny incident which led to people using this misspelt word instead of the correct word because those who are in this forum like me before the invention of this word were bit puzzled and people were making fun of the spelling mistake as you can see from the original thread. But regardless however we write it either as hold or hold but it play the most pivotal role in the world of cryptocurrency.

1194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Trump is Americas best option on: December 26, 2023, 06:25:12 PM
Everyone's aware that it's CIA and other intel, security agencies which runs America and regardless whoever is elected they have too little power to make their own decisions, the fundamental difference between Trump & Biden is the charisma and they way they handle things, I would say we didn't see much wars and US interventions in the affairs of other countries but Biden turned out to be a fox in sheep skin so this guy cannot be trusted. Both are infact not good but if you have to choose between these two choose Trump.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to Look for ICOs (and speculate with the prices) on: December 26, 2023, 06:10:29 PM

When we are to talk to about ICOs, it's another thing on its own that we need to elaborate more on, they are nothing but just I means of making quick financial advantage under nee crypto projects in their initial coin offerings before they were being launched, making an investment in ico is not what we should put more of our minds on because they are risk to invest, there are many sites that constitute their listing, but making a deep research on any crypto project can help almost along the line.

I think we should get over the ICO terminology itself because we have see lot of people losing their money to scam and 2017 & early 2018 were the era of ICO and post which it has been doomed. If the project is good they don't need ICO as we have seen so many projects doing good without ICO. I would suggest don't even waste your time by doing research on ICO projects, I have come across few projects which has advertised like they have been audited but when I check the firm which has audited them and figured out that it's new firm and no where reliable hence instead of trying to research ICO projects and falling for one or the another marketing traps they have laid it's better not even consider ICO.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: December 26, 2023, 05:54:08 PM
In past two months we have seen it all, be it hounding centralized exchanges or crackdown on mixers which has led to banning mixer campaigns in this forum from 1st January as a precautionary measure. But, when it comes to decentralized exchanges the government will have limited scope to target the DEX since they don't control it like they do for centralized exchanges with KYC and all. But if they start targeting people associated with DEX then I would say we might see the real decentralization wherein everyone should go anonymous like Satoshi Nakamoto.

IMO they cannot do much with DEX.
1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historical price of Bitcoin on Christmas Day on: December 26, 2023, 12:19:04 PM
This has been one of the best December for Bitcoin as we have not seen any dump or bearish patters till now and moreover we have spot ETF and halving lined up to give more boost to the price of Bitcoin. But we cannot promise that price of Bitcoin will be trending at $100,000 as we may see BTC hitting the magical 6 figures even before December 2024 or we may not see it as the following event will decide it but if we breach the previous ATH then we will see more investments flooding into Bitcoin which will surely make BTC breach $100,000.

However we should consider both the extreme situations and take the call because out entry point matters and decides a lot.

I have made similar article last week : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5479069.0
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance: get rich or die trying on: December 26, 2023, 12:03:08 PM
Indeed, it was a very smart move to disassociate CZ from Binance as soon as the allegations were triggered which saved a possible downfall of Binance, what's more surprising is the fact that the allegations were accepted but Binance was visibility the most centralized crypto exchange and this might be a warning to all the centralized exchanges that they would be punished if they don't comply with US government and it's demands.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t think bitcoin is now decentralized on: December 25, 2023, 08:56:17 PM
About 20+ days ago ,I sent a transaction with 5000sats fee.

20+ !

It hasn’t been confirmed yet!

Ok to pay more ,confirmed faster.

But isn’t it ok for pay less confirm slower?

The miners are too centralized, and a lot of dust trans was made every day.

From A to A with high fee rate! Why does this transaction exist?

I don’t think a normal man would make such a nonsense transaction.
So what do you think is decentralization? Bitcoin does not exist just to serve you, you should understand that first and are you willing to learn more about transactions that you are not willing to pay more fees to speed up? I've seen the "fee" issue brought up a lot recently and people keep blaming it for being expensive and slow... Let's better understand the appeal of bitcoin that many people are still willing and trusting in it. I have no intention of using bitcoin in all daily activities at the moment, but these problems will be solved if acceptance becomes more widespread. That in itself is decentralization, so if you can't accept it then you are probably moving towards centralization.

How is here a correlation between higher fees and decentralization? If we don't accept the higher fee that doesn't mean we are rejecting decentralization but it just means that these charges are atrocious and unacceptable and cannot be justified. Bitcoin is for everyone and not just for those who make large transactions and I find it really odd why people don't accept the pain point over here and start lecturing on how we can avoid transactions when the network is congested, etc. Instead of diverting from this issue there should be steps taken to reduce these charges.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana just reached $80! - EDIT: Now $110+ on: December 25, 2023, 08:03:12 PM
It touched $126 today and guess what I was wrong in assuming that there would be some correction but there isn't it seems and I have lost a good opportunity to enter the rally when the value of SOL was around $40 and then $60 post which it has raced to $125+ and I was assuming that I am in FOMO and hence avoided investing into SOL thought I wanted to. It seems to be approaching the previous ATH which seemed to be nearly impossible couple of months ago.
