1181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join best bounty and earn money? on: August 30, 2023, 07:01:50 AM
I don't understand there are so many bounty in bounty section. Because a YouTuber made video and I saw. He says make account and than earn money with bounty and I don't have knowledge?
I have also observed that most members who have their accounts banned are from the bounty section. I assume they are not familiar with how the forum works. They keep using different accounts to cheat in the bounties application which usually leads to punishment like red tags and bans. Most of these accounts are usually low-ranked accounts with little merit. These members have no interest in learning about bit on but just to learn quick money.

It will be better to learn about bitcoin and the forum and be patient to grow your account to earn from other better avenues in the forum. If you are patient and build your reputation in the forum, you will get more opportunities to learn from the forum. For now, let your focus be on learning and contributing to the forum.

You did the right thing by seeking the view of the community on this issue and not applying what you just git from a random YouTuber. Next time you should use the search option of the forum because the same equation has been asked over time, you are welcome to the forum.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: Top richest from history, one hyperinflated the economy single handedly! on: August 29, 2023, 10:21:01 AM
I don't know exactly what the difference is between a middle-class person's chance of being rich in the past and a middle-class person living today. We have more possibilities, but the world is not the same as before. Everything is in our hands and depends on our effort, but still, I am not sure whether we are the luckier ones in the past.
I don't know the situation in your country, but the middle class is gradually disappearing in our society. The gap between the rich and the poor is expanding because of corruption and unfavorable government policies. The economy is organized in a way that favors the rich. Before we had the American dream where nobody could become successful but today you have to be connected to a powerful politician or business executive to climb the ladder to the top. Inflation and currency devaluation are making hard work and diligence worthless because what you earn is not enough to provide for your needs.

The scriptures mentioned that the richest man in ancient history was Qaroon, also known as Croesus, who had separate rooms filled with gold and silver to the point that the keys to these rooms needed an army of men to hold.

https://www.rekhta.org/allusions/qaroon-croesus
It is very interesting to see that many religions have different accounts of the richest men in the olden days. Based on the Holy Bible the richest man was Solomon who was the son of David. His wealth was so much that he married about three hundred wives and seven hundred concubines. You just don't know which account to believe.

1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 29, 2023, 09:53:19 AM
Atletico Madrid completely destroyed Rayo Vallecano. That was totally unexpected. Rayo Vallecano won their first two games without conceding a goal. Some writers expect them to make a surprise against Atletico Madrid but exact opposite happened. Atletico Madrid showed their offensive power. Griezmann, Memphis, Morata, Correa, Llorente everybody scored. After 72nd minute Rayo dissolved, they lost concentration totally. It's hard to recover from such losses. Let's see how they will be back from this traumatic loss.
Seven goals from six players is impressive. It shows that Atletico Madrid has competent strikers and is not depending on any player. Diego Simeone's side has not also conceded a goal in three games showing that this also has a strong defense. Their next game is with Sevilla which will be a good test for Atletico because Sevilla is also a good side that is going through some hard times this season. Sevilla will be playing to get their first point this season because they have not won or drawn a single match.

I expected much from a team that has not conceded any goal in two games but football is just unpredictable. Rayo Vallecano just had a bad day because they were not totally outplayed by Atletico but they defended poorly. The fans began to leave the stadium when their team was 4 goals down. They should be grateful that their team has lost only one game, although the score was massive and the game was at home. The club will hope to return to winning ways when they play Real Betis on 2nd September.
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today marks 9 years since the death of Bitcoin first pioneer Hal Finney on: August 29, 2023, 09:05:34 AM
The man who received the very first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto, Hal Finney was absolutely involves on the earliest public Bitcoin days and deserve some credit for a greater believer in the system and confident to Satoshi.

Hal Finney died from ALS (Lou Gehrig disease) on 28 August 2014.
Hal Finney was an uncommon cryptographer and computer scientist. He is an inspiration to many because he was one of the few that embraced Bitcoin when Cryptographers were seen as clueless noobs. He contributed a lot to the development of bitcoin and predicted that it would make many millionaires in the future. Even when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, he still spent his last days working on different crypto projects that benefitted the community. He is seen by many as the inventor of bitcoin but nobody has proved that assumption.

His body is still been preserved through cryonic freezing because he and his wife Fran believe that that he can be brought back to life in the future. This might look impossible to many people but both couples always believed in the impossible. May his soul rest in peace until he achieves his goal of resurrection.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock wants to reduce the price of Bitcoin on: August 29, 2023, 08:22:54 AM
There have been rumours in the market recently that black rock wants to accumulate more bitcoins, but at more reduced rates and for this they will make the market crash more. I don't know if this news is really true or if it is just a rumour.

This is one dark side of these giants that they will never play fair. They have enough money to influence the crypto market which is still at the very initial stage and move the market according to their wish.
Except they are working on something we don't know, if they crash the price they will also lose money. Maybe they want to crash by dumping and use the opportunity to accumulate cheap coins before ETF approval. I don't really care if they want to manipulate the market because I will not sell off my coin due to FUD. If they crash the price, I will keep accumulating through DCA. Another perspective is if they are working as agents of the government to destabilize the market. This plan can only work for few times, but the market will still recover. However this news is not from a verified source, so it should be treated as a rumor.
1186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save in Stable Coin Or Save in Local Currency? on: August 28, 2023, 07:29:08 PM
As a novice in crypto, I want to take enough time to learn more on how the market works before investing. But I'm really concerned on how to keep my money safe as I await the right time to invest.

Do you think it's better to save in stable coin like usdt or I should just keep the money in the bank?
Both stablecoin and local currency are centralized so both of them cannot be trusted because they are controlled by the exchange of the central bank. But I will choose a local currency especially if it is dollars, pounds, or euros. These currencies experience less drop in value and are relatively stable.  My reason for preferring to keep my money in the bank is that banks are insured by deposit insurance. This means depositors can get back their funds from the bank in the case of bankruptcy or financial problems. The accounts of commercial banks are regularly audited and open for public view but these exchange operations are sometimes kept secret from the public. The best option will be to keep your money in Bitcoin because it is under your control and has a history of price appreciation.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: Good and Bad at the same time - Mega entities hold $ 14 billions in Bitcoin on: August 28, 2023, 06:25:23 PM
That's a lot of money under one roof of each entity mentioned above. It should make us think whether this is good or bad to Bitcoin economy? Since these much Bitcoin are under their custody they have full control of it and we have already seen what happens when such entities get hacked for their data leak. The case of FTX is the biggest lesson for us.
FTX went bankrupt because of mismanagement by Sam Bankman-Fried' and this problem led to FUD that affected the price of Bitcoin and altcoins. But the price of bitcoin recovered after a few months. My prediction will still be the same, if anything happens to any or all of these top investors, the price will drop and recover after some time.

And it does not really mean that these amounts are not in circulation because these amounts are in the liquidity pools from which traders are making there trades. I hope you do understand that the assets they have are in circulation and not in there holdings. But you can say that, the inflow and outflow almost remain equilibrium.
I don't get your explanation that the coins are not in the custody of these exchanges. Any circulation of bitcoin between or within any centralized is in the custody of these exchanges. Although you have access to assets these exchanges are the holders or custodians. Any coin that is in circulation outside a decentralized wallet cannot be said to be in circulation.
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 28, 2023, 03:51:04 PM
In light of this, what potential value will this add to the people of Hong Kong. This platform is a centralized exchange and will be regulated by the government in the country. Do you think this move is a good one for the crypto adoption there and won’t the government be so strict with the use owing that it will be regulated by them fully?
Most of these centralized platforms put in much money into advertisement which means more people will know more about Bitcoin. But the problem is that many shitcoin will also be promoted. Regulation leads to centralization and the latter defeats the main purpose of bitcoin. This move by HashKey Exchange and OSL Digital Securities Ltd is not to promote bitcoin but to make profit. These firms can do anything possible to make profit, they don't care about the success of bitcoin.
Quote
This is a good move to crypto adoption in that region since it’ll gain more use and popularity there. Privacy of ownership while trading with those platforms will be very limited. Overall, I think it is still a good development looking to the mass adoption of bitcoin we are anticipating for.
More crypto-related jobs will be created and the government will collect more tax. There will also be high liquidity in the market and traders will have more options. It will also be great if the exchange or customer deposit is insured by the national deposit insurance (Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board).
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effective and Intelligent Solutions to Propel Future Bitcoin Price Surge on: August 28, 2023, 03:10:04 PM
Conclusion:
While predicting the future price of Bitcoin is inherently uncertain, there are several plausible solutions that could contribute to a potential price surge. A combination of mass adoption, regulatory clarity, technological improvements, institutional investment, global economic conditions, and educational efforts could collectively drive demand and value for Bitcoin in the years to come. As the cryptocurrency landscape continues to evolve, these factors will likely play a pivotal role in shaping Bitcoin's future price trajectory.
Price increase is the major factor of measuring the success of bitcoin but it is not the only benchmark. Privacy and freedom can't be measured by money and these are some benefits of using bitcoin. Mass adoption, technological advancement, conducive global economic conditions, and increased awareness of the Bitcoin ecosystem will promote the original reason for the creation of bitcoin which is decentralization. These factors will gradually increase mass adoption and price stability. Regulation and investment by big corporations might lead to an increase in the price of Bitcoin and build public confidence in the sector but it will lead to centralization.
1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting btc of tuitions payments for College/students? on: August 27, 2023, 05:37:39 PM
Bitcoin is a currency that can be accepted for payments of goods and services. Which currency is stable? Some currencies are more unstable than Bitcoin. There are already universities/ colleges that accept Bitcoin as tuition fees. Examples are

University of Nicosia, Cyprus

European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) Berlin, Germany

The Kings College, New York, USA

The University of Cumbria, UK

The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland

FPT University, Vietnam

Varna University of Management, Bulgaria

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Business School (IEBS), Spain

Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, South Africa

1192  Economy / Economics / Re: People keep talking how weak dollar and how bad usa economy getting on: August 27, 2023, 06:57:18 AM
I think it's talked in other places that America's economy is bad, but in our country it's still known how strong the USA is. Nothing will happen easily to the American economy. There was a unipolar world in recent years, but other developed countries are trying to change this. We may revert to a multipolar order in the medium term, but this doesn't mean that America is weak. If a new currency emerges, we may see a hard power clash. This requires being prepared for new wars though, which is bad for whole world but that's the reality and we have to be prepared for that.
Your position is very correct. It will take a long time for any currency to overtake the dollar because the US economy is not standing alone. It is connected to the strong Anglo-Saxon economy which includes the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Changing the world to a multipolar order will also need an alliance of some nations with a fairly strong economy. The hope for the establishment of another dominant currency is on the BRICS and their expansion is a step in the right direction. The dollar will continue to enjoy global dominance until economies like Russia, China, India, Russia and other emerging economies have close partnerships like the Anglo-Saxon world.
1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: August 27, 2023, 06:23:14 AM
In previous cycles, I often found myself struggling to find the answer to the question of "when to sell BTC and switch to Altcoins." BTC is meant to be held, not sold, and even more importantly, never sold for Altcoins. Simply hold onto BTC and when there's an Altcoin wave, use your BTC as collateral to borrow funds for Altcoin investments (ensuring borrowing remains under 30% of your capital). Now, with the increasing choices offered by the DeFi market compared to past cycles, this method proves quite effective for the strategy of using BTC as collateral to borrow USD for Altcoin investments.
I don't think you can find an accurate answer of when to move from Bitcoin to altcoin. The crypto market is dynamic and the occurrence in past bull runs may be different from the expected one. Another problem will also be how to identify the altcoin that will give your targeted profit. The worth of many of these altcoins can disappear in no time. Don't also forget that during the bull run, there are high rates of scam airdrops targeting to reap off unsuspected investors.

It is not good to put all your eggs in one basket but it is better to put all of them in a dependable one than to face the risk of losing them when it is put in uncertain ones. If you are not experienced in such smart investment moves, Bitcoin is the surest asset to hold. The profit from Bitcoin might not be as big as altcoin, but at least you are sure that your investment is safe.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 26, 2023, 11:46:58 AM
The Spanish president Luis Rabiales have defended himself against critics on social media saying he's wrong for kissing Jenni Hermoso on the lip, live on TV during Spain's Women's World Cup trophy celebrations, according to the news it is said that he's hit back with a defense and also trying to set things right and saying those taking the incident too seriously are idiots.
Most of the viewers where furious and claimed that what he did was inappropriate to put his hand on the 33 years old attacker before kissing her on the lips and his response to Radio Marca was, "The kiss with Jenni? There are idiots everywhere. When two people have an insignificant show of affection, we cannot pay attention to idiocy. We are champions, and with that, I stay."
Well I think a lot of viewers are not going to be pleased about that statem ent and there would be questions in the air over whether there's been a previous secret affair between both involved ìn the act, well left for me i think he got carried away by their victory but calling viewers idiots is not professional.
Luis Rabiales is not fit to be the president of a football association because he cannot control his emotions. He couldn't even control his lust for the player he kissed her passionately before the entire world. If it was in my country it would have caused a religious or even tribal argument. His tribesmen will have supported him and others will have used it to shame his tribe. While his religious sect would have been ridiculed by other religions.

Morally this behavior is bad and he does not even feel remorse for his inappropriate behavior rather he is been rude and arrogant. He has no option but to resign and face disciplinary procedures. The public is seeing it as abuse against women because Jenni Hermoso said she didn't consent to the kiss. Rabiales is in for a most turbulent period of his life because many feminist groups are willing to do anything to ensure he is persecuted for sexual abuse.
1195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All business need to risk, so not only crypto! on: August 26, 2023, 11:07:20 AM
All businesses involve risk so the reality is that you should have the ability to take risks.

Everyone says crypto Is high risk is it really true? My guess is less because a lot of people have had success with this crypto.
There is no business in this world that doesn't have a form of risk, but the risk is in levels. Some businesses are highly risky while others have relatively low risk. Another fact is that sometimes the higher the risk the greater the profit, while the lesser the risk the lower the profit. When it comes to the crypto industry, Bitcoin has lesser risk than other altcoins because its price is more stable than other coins. The price of altcoins can shoot up overnight and it can also fall within a short time.

Quote
Some are investing and some are making a lot of money by trading. So why can't you?
People are making a lot of money and others are also losing so much money. Trading cryptocurrency requires some skills and experience because it is very risky especially if you are trading on altcoins.
1196  Economy / Economics / Re: Top richest from history, one hyperinflated the economy single handedly! on: August 26, 2023, 10:23:10 AM
One man singlehandedly caused hyperinflation in an entire region, that's wonderful. I stand to be corrected Bitcoin is one of the most reliable shields against inflation. Yes, my stand is arguable because it is highly volatile but its total cap of 21 million is its unique difference. The market can be flooded with gold because many nations of the world still have massive gold reserves. Lands and other resources are limitless which means that their prices can fall if the supply rises but bitcoin has limited supply. A single country with a large gold reserve can make the market crumble but Bitcoin is decentralised. Yes, the market can be manipulated by some unhealthy practices by whales but their influence is limited. If Bitcoin gains a stable price in the future, it will become an undisputed hedge against inflation.
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto investment have you tried out? on: August 26, 2023, 09:53:59 AM
Tell us your crypto investment let’s learn from you and tell us which platform you used. Personally have tried out flexible savings; flexible savings gives opportunity to make passive income everyday on your savings based on the percentage allocated to the savings you subscribed for. Also there are APR savings on each newly listed tokens upto and more than 100% depending on how the event goes, these are opportunities you can get if you use flexible savings.
I have seen many centralized platforms that offer lucrative profits from investing in some of their investment packages. However, I have not tested any of these platforms because of some experience with these centralized platforms. Some relatives lost so much money they invested in these platforms. Currently, I am keeping my coins in a decentralized wallet because I want to have full control of my investments. My only option in crypto investment is Bitcoin due to its stability and good track record. Some altcoins are too risky to invest in and many are not reliable.
1198  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alt account or loan defaulter [Obari] on: August 25, 2023, 11:12:58 AM
I am surprised that Shashan turned you down because it is unusual for him to turn down members who are in campaigns. And you are in one of the long-lasting campaigns in the forum.
Are you crazy??
Why I will take him/her down? I want to join on that campaign???
No offense boss. You misconceived my position. What I meant was that members in campaigns have better chances of getting loans. So I was surprised that his own was turned down. My thought was that you may have refused to give the loan for other reasons which from what I have observed his insincerity in repaying. If you check my next post you will observe that I told Obari that he has no right to question your refusal to grant his request. I am sorry for my inability to clearly explain my point.

Funny how things work here
And respectful  I'm a user who is very committed  in the lending board and on several occasions I've asked shashan for a loan and he turned me down and I even asked for a loan this morning because as we all know that it takes sometimes several hours before shashan approves of loans and since my appointment  with the doctor was supposed to be tomorrow, I had to seek a loan so I can get ready before tomorrow.
Sorry about your health issue and I wish you a quick recovery. Health problems can be a drain to our financial resources. I am surprised that Shashan turned you down because it is unusual for him to turn down members who are in campaigns. And you are in one of the long-lasting campaigns in the forum. But you need to give some explanation to clear your name from this issue. My mother will always say that it is better she go hungry than to be in debt. I just hope you raise funds and pay the loan.

Obviously you didn't read the rest.
His "friend since childhood" is defaulting a loan. And it looks like Obari and the defaulter are the same person. His explanation makes a little sense, ok I get that, but it also looks super suspicious.

Sakanwa can't pay back a loan and in the same moment Obari tries to take a loan. Also Obari commented in Sakanwa's loan thread like he is answering the accusations. Doesn't make too much sense.
Also Obari was contacting the lender to please delete the quoted post looks pretty sus to be honest.

I think the health and phone story is what it is, a story.
Thank you for your explanation. I read the thread but I don't get the part that it was Sakanwa that has an outstanding loan and Obari is asking for another loan. @Obari, a lender can turn down any loan application without explaining the reason. So you don't have the right to ask for an explanation because loans are given based on the lender's rules.
