What should you learn so you never get affected by economic crises ?

Humans should learn to do what computers / ai can't do ...Question is what computers can't do ?

Is this our future :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3quruHpcuo

Are we going to become Obsolete like Mr. Wordsworth the librarian ?
A lot of people have been learning about AI as of recent , and it seems to be a good area of tech engineering to get into.
Mreover, no matter how good and perfect these AI's or robots seems to be, they are still machines and machines will always have fault no matter what, there are time they will reach and they will get weak and spoil, it will always require a human being that’s skilled in that area to fix them up or create new ones, so AI cannot take up every space.

Other good skills that I would recommend people learn are software engineering, writing, and every other kind of jobs that can be done online and remotely.

If the hot wallet is consistently empty, then it's obvious they are very conservative with the amount they keep there.

This situation is indeed not good for bitvest active players although I do believe that bitvest has their own policy about when to refill the hotwallet.
Afaik bitvest has low number of staffs, probably lightlord is the only one who handle this job so once lightlord is having other things to do IRL then it will take longer time to refill the hotwallet.
I'm not really sure if they have a system to notify owner whenever the hotwallet is getting close to empty.
It will be good system so the situation of empty hotwallet can be minimized.

That's fine. I would just keep bigger hot wallets to prevent this from happening too much. There's risk in a hot wallet being stolen but also in people losing interest in gambling or investing if they are annoyed about not being to withdraw as fast as they expect.
I feel like that is actually good thing isn't it? I mean surely there is an obvious problem with people trying to withdraw their money and constantly waiting for it because of hot wallet empty situation and that could be seen as bad when you want to withdraw.

However think of it this way, there will never be a big hack that would steal everyone's money, isn't that cover for the bad and then some? I would rather have to wait for my withdraw to come to me a bit late compared to a possibility that all of my money could be gone one day. That is why I feel like it is rather preferable to have it this way than the other way around.

I don't know because I never had any troubles getting money from here like people say so maybe I just have to face with the situation first to make a better decision but it sounds better as it is.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 21, 2020, 05:14:24 PM
As if Warriors got the second pick! I know most of the time second pick may not become a huge super star, and they usually do not provide skill right away, but remember last year's second pick was Ja Morant and we all know how that turned out. I think warriors are already quite amazing, they just had a bad season because of all the injuries. They still have Steph, they have Klay and they have Wiggins now and they have Dray, these are all great players, plus they are going to get the second pick as well, which will be something huge for them.

If they draft well (and considering they drafted steph, klay, dray all themselves I think they are good at drafting) that is another 5-10 years of awesome team for them, it is unfair what happened with them, but they were one of the worst teams this season and played g-league players all year so it makes sense.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in a good shape? on: August 21, 2020, 04:45:11 PM
Guys I haven't been here for a while and I'm wondering if Bitcoin is in a better shape than last time I checked 2 years ago.
Two years ago? Bruuh, you missed out on a lot of opportunities man Shocked.
So I guess you’re one of those people that decided to quit after the price of bitcoin decreased to a low rate after going for a huge bull run?

Well, you can see that for yourself by checking exchanges for the price of Bitcoin, the price is already back up and currently chasing $12,000. If you were around February, the price was way more less than this and that would have been a better time for you to start reinvesting. Although I don’t think that it’s late at this time, because I still believe that there is going to be further increase before the end of the year.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto cards on: August 21, 2020, 01:31:33 PM
The only cryptocurrency card I have ever used is the MasterCard card that is being issued by BitPay. It’s really cool and I still have mine till now and I’m using it. I have heard about other cards as well, like the Wirex card, I have seen people talk about it a few times, although when I downloaded the Wirex app I think it’s something different, it’s kind of like a bank that functions digitally, but you can still send and receive cryptocurrency with it.

As for BitPay card, I am able to load it any time and use it to withdraw or make purchase, and when I use it in some stores, some people always asks what card it is.

1187  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: August 18, 2020, 10:17:28 PM
It's true. Google as a search engine is fairly complicated and takes in many factors into account. Mostly, if Google feels that the search results provide the best end value to the customer, then it will rank higher for those terms. Even if the word description is not identical.

In many countries/regions presently, MintDice has started to trend towards the very top of results for the search "bitcoin dice" among other things which is testament to something, at least, on that logic Smiley
We hope to continue rising on many other terms as the brand and product increases in quality and user base.

You really do not know how Google uses search results and displays them do you? Google displays what is paying them the most. If you want a search engine that only shows you the most relevant results and not paid results then you have to use an alternative like DuckDuckGo.

Then it gives you most relevant:)

Personally, I don't use Google. I use alternatives. And perhaps the usage of alternatives is much higher on BitcoinTalk. Irrespective, Google rankings are what ultimately matter the most since its the vast majority of web traffic. Most devices automatically default to Google or other major brands and most people never switch from that.
I do not understand the hate towards google, I mean yeah  they do track you but I seriously think that they track you for advertisement purposes and not really anything serious, they want to make sure who you are and what you do so that they can show you related ads, and they need to make sure that they are checking it in detail because it would be weird to send amazon iron prices for ironing your shirts, when you searched for iron man comics.

Mintdice is doing awesome in google, just get the keywords right and more common and you are going to see x10 users eventually. I still can't believe that this place still haven't upgraded and already so good, I can't wait for the updated version, that will be just so epic, if this current version is like this, think of how improved version will be.
1188  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy restart big Boom and prosperity Coming on: August 18, 2020, 09:15:18 PM
In addition, we expect a second wave of the spread of this coronavirus.
This is one thing that no one is taking seriously and the second wave might be even more devastating than the first one given people are not taking as much measures as they used to take when the virus was new. People have got into a situation where they feel frustrated and the cold cash they had as savings is also evaporated in the recent times because jobs were cut down and everything was paused and now people need to work to feed themselves and hence the second wave might be a real trouble for everyone.

I feel like economies will restart slowly and everything will be good as long as we are alive we should be happy in tough times and thinking too much about economy is not the best thing one can do, just survive and help poor people around you to survive. Leave the economics to the government.
1189  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: August 18, 2020, 08:26:24 PM

The kind of government has a lot to do when the economy succeeds or fails. When your government asks too much taxes from the companies doing business in the country and the labor cost is higher than of China, these companies will move to China or any other country like Indonesia or India where labor cost will be much lower and the taxes are enough for the companies to profit.
Also there are countries who do not imply any tax on their citizens like Dubai is a tax free economy so anyone who wishes to startup a new business will always prefer such economies and cheap workers can be found from the migrants to the country.

I feel government plays the biggest role for the rise or fall of any economy because they can make the taxes that encourage new businesses or they can imply so many taxes that people move out to start their business. I see that resources also play an important role because you always want to setup industries in an area that is rich of resources and you get those resources with minimal travel and labor cost. And industries are the biggest contributors to any economic structure.
1190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom.com - 3 Million+ users - Jackpots, Rains - unique games modes on: August 18, 2020, 07:56:10 PM
And, more importantly, did you understand the meaning of this text? You are prohibited from using "the services as anonymizing proxy, VPN or the like in order to bypass the law resulting from the blockade by Gamdom.com countries". Well, it could be written in better terms and wording indeed, but the meaning is still pretty clear. In simple language, you can't use VPNs and similar services if your country is blacklisted by the casino. Let me explain in case there's a difficulty. It is not the use of VPNs as such that is prohibited here, but their use with the aim of bypassing these country-specific restrictions

I simply understand it as :

A player is responsible for any legal case result from using Gamdom.com if his country prohibits gambling.  Gamdom do not encourage players to use VPN or any bypassing tool just to use the site if the resident country of the player prohibits/blocks online gambling

Well, there are subtle differences in our understanding

As I see it, it is not about certain countries prohibiting gambling. Rather, it is about countries that are banned by Gamdom specifically and people trying to bypass this ban by using VPNs, etc. If it really were the way you see it ("if the resident country of the player prohibits/blocks online gambling"), you wouldn't be allowed to use Gamdom at all, through VPN or otherwise. Since VPN's are mentioned and they are used to hide your country of residence, it is evidently the second case, i.e. the casino doesn't want players from the countries they blacklisted, for whatever reason, and irrespective of whether gambling is allowed there or not. At least, this is what follows from this text
Using a VPN is rarely a trouble in most places, I have used Opera browser and VPN on almost every single website, in fact I rarely close it if it creates problems but if it doesn't I always go with the flow and use the VPN and nothing else, even if the website I go to is not VPN related, like even if it is google or youtube or whatever I still have my VPN open, it is a good security thing that you can hide your IP from the outer world if you can and that is what I do.

I have joined many gambling websites with VPN and so far I have not seen any problems at all, maybe the only thing that could cause any problem could be the KYC if asked but even with that you could just show who you are and just say you are using VPN and that shouldn't really be a big problem I think.
1191  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: August 18, 2020, 07:26:15 PM
They are putting a decent amount to it however the price of bitcoin increased so windice even though sends it fast does cost a bit to get it. That is not windice's fault by the way, the transaction fee's are high so they have to spend a lot of money to send you the money you own.

Also there are other cryptocurrencies, I really prefer to play with them over bitcoin, normally when we are talking about investment I do prefer bitcoin over altcoins however when we are talking about gambling it is a lot easier to just have altcoins and gamble with them, that way you could just gamble very fast and you could withdraw very fast and even deposit. That is just blockchain plus altcoins do not get as much attention as bitcoin. I feel like USDT or whatever stablecoin becomes bigger will be huge in crypto gambling very soon as well.
1192  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh Government Comparing Gaming with Gambling and Cryptocurrency on: August 18, 2020, 06:44:16 PM
Bangladesh Bank just blocked credit, debit and prepaid card purchase / transaction on various video game websites like Steam, Origin, Blizzard and many other third party video games website.
Can't you use different banks? Perhaps your bank is like a government bank or Islamic bank. Not sure how regulations there, but it is surely messed up if all banks behave the same.
Actually in 2014 I believe, Bangladesh banned all the dealings in cryptocurrencies and even stated that anyone who is found to be associated with BTC transactions might have to face some money laundering laws and might get jailed.

Any bank operating in their country would hence never appreciate crypto related services and payments and hence they are actually right to restrict users from doing those transactions. The change has to come from the government because when the government doesn't allow BTC to be legal then there is no way the banks can break their law and allow such transactions. Gambling has been long associated with crypto even if it is not as dominant in the field of gambling.
1193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader Cobb's Training - On Digitex Future Exchange on: August 17, 2020, 10:54:18 PM
Futures trading is way riskier than the conventional trading, but it also is more profitable. It is mostly used by the traders or the investors for hedging or trade speculation. At the same time Futures has the potential for great profits but certainly have very high-risk factor. As futures trading obligates the parties to transact an asset at a predetermined future date and price, it is indeed a game of gamble. The cryptocurrencies are sold and bought at a set/determined price by the traders regardless the current market price. Therefore, it’s a small crypto world in itself that basically trades on speculations.

I would recommend using the Binance platform for futures trading as it is high advanced and reputed. Also, binance has insurance against user assets in case of theft or hacking which makes your investment safe. Although, futures trading isn’t available on Binance in some regions so you might want to check that before you opt for it.
1194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: August 17, 2020, 08:30:38 PM
Still I think it depends on the winner and at the same time that we are talking about the majority of the public, who are not rich enough to get a Lambo, from tax purposes to signing over fee to many other stuff, it would cost a lot but also it is a Lambo so it is still quite free, whatever you are going to pay will not be remotely close to what Lambo would cost you to buy, so it is still almost a free Lambo for sure.
This means what if a whale gambler wins? I guess that they could totally get it, they have enough money to pay for everything and super rich so why not get the Lambo instead of the money, they could totally do that like a trophy kind of thing, winning a Lambo would mean that you can show it off as your gambling win and could justify your gambling as well.

However we all know most of the people here are not that rich and can't afford it, this only applies if a whale wins.

Some others are probably shy and wish to stay anonymous in order to avoid unnecessary attention.

We cannot do anything about that if that is the situations and need to simply move on by respecting their privacy. I guess this will impact on promotion levels of the house as well. Because, if this forum member's one of known/trusted high rank wins means that will work in a massive promotion way but if non-forum member wins and if they opt for being anonymous then that might serve the promotion purposes only half Embarrassed.
1195  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: August 17, 2020, 07:47:52 PM
Everyone was laughing on Ray Diallo when he said his famous phrase "cash is trash" on 2019 and they even laughed more when his hedge fund tanked 30% under water on early 2020. guess what, US stock markets are bullish again and on a stunning V-shaped recovery and Gold recently hit all time high and bitcoin of course in its way to break new price record. So, who's laughing now!. he was damn right.
I just don’t understand some people lol, you say Cash is trash but you’re still making use of it. When you invest your money in an asset, at last the profit you make will still go back to cash. We should understand that cash is meant to be different, it’s like the price for everything and everything is calculated in real currencies. Cash is not trash, it has its own ways of being useful.

When the market is crashing you will have to withdraw to cash to save your ass, and at that point in time cash becomes very important. You can then buy back when things starts getting better.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in your ability to earn more. on: August 17, 2020, 05:56:41 PM
Crypto investor is the most less risky job in crypto market that require little of skill or time compared to the trader or other jobs. But to be a good investor, you will need guts and some luck that having skill alone won't work.
You need good analyzing skill though if you are someone who invests in altcoins and retain them for long term because most of the coins will have a definite life span during which they will have a pump and then a dump and one who waits or holds too long is always in loss. This is only and exclusively true for altcoins because bitcoins are always going to rise.

I have been someone who would get hyped and buy altcoins like coinstarter tokens and hope to earn a lot but then fall of my own back so many times that now I hardly invest for long term in any altcoins rather I just buy them and try to sell them once they have reached their peak.

As for long term investment we always have the evergreen and every growing bitcoins.
1197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The importance of support resistance on: August 16, 2020, 07:55:28 PM
It is very safe to trade with support resistance but when we learn to trade we forget it after learning it or we are not interested in using it. But the use of support and resistance is very important in trading. Many of us run after strategy and forget or ignore the use of support resistance. The market always respects support and resistance or breaks out and moves in an up or downtrend.
I urge new trades to learn to draw support resistance with great care and observe the market to see the results for yourself.
Support and Resistance is important for anyone who is trading. If you’re still a newbie in trading, making use of Support and Resistance is going to be helpful to you in lots of ways. I have seen some analysts who make use of resistance and support to show people when they should sell and when they should buy. If you’re a new trader you can make use of the support level to know when you’re going to buy, or if you’re being short you can take profit at the support level, and take profit at resistance when you’re being long.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: August 16, 2020, 07:20:26 PM
Bitcoins have three useful qualities in a currency, according to The Economist in January 2015: they are "hard to earn, limited in supply and easy to verify". Economists define money as a store of value, a medium of exchange and a unit of account, and agree that bitcoin has some way to go to meet all these criteria.
Nah, there is nothing that is not hard to earn, even the USD is hard to earn man. You can’t be walking on the road and be picking up free dollars, can you?

Nah, you can’t, rather you will have to get a job and work hard to make your dollars; the money doesn’t come free just like that, you will always have to do something to get it. That’s the same thing with Bitcoin, you will have to either work hard for you to be able to earn it or you will use your money (which also came through hard work) to purchase the Bitcoin. And Bitcoin doesn’t contribute to our economy, although it can better the life for people.
1199  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 16, 2020, 06:49:59 PM
Things will not get back to normal right away just because there is a vaccine. Remember vaccine is something you get so that corona wouldn't hurt you as bad as it used to hurt people, so it is a prevention and not a solution. People who have it right now would not really be getting any good effects from the vaccination as far as results shows, they are still trying to recover the way we have been for months.

This vaccine would only allow you to be get a prevention shot, like if you are healthy and have no covid virus, you take the shot and if you end up with the virus you will not have this much bad results but something much smaller. Considering how easy it is to get infected the troubles are still there with probably less death, that is ALL this means.
1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit, and batching, a must in these times on: August 16, 2020, 03:10:56 PM
Yeah, you’re right about that, but it still ends with the big cryptocurrency exchanges and companies, they are usually the ones who make the decision. We can only pressure them to do something, but they will still be the ones to decide if they want to do that or not. I am always in support of everything it takes to move cryptocurrency forward and make things to improve, and this should be implemented to make things easier and also save the cost of transactions. Sometimes I feel Bitcoin is lagging behind in some things, it’s just swimming in its glory as the first cryptocurrency.
