1181  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Hashbit.co - Cloudmining starting at 0.00175 BTC/GHs on: August 30, 2015, 02:22:33 AM
The "problem" not is graphic, faq or template to the site, but the really proof of miner. You have any video for proof your farm ? How many ths you have? the ghs buy is lifetime? And when the price of bitcoin is down and the cost of eletricity is more of mining profit?

We are small mining company with 10,000 GHS available for public, we are slowly building. Due to restrictions our supplier is not able to make videos or photos. We apologize for this inconvenience.

GHS is lifetime, or until sold on market. Next batch of GHS once more is ordered, will be at a lesser price on market.

The price of electricity will go down soon once we purchase more mining, soon it will be $0.00135/GHS/Day.

Design is minimal, we are not fancy, just basic necessities / barebones. This also offers faster loading for website.
the last ones said the same thing, i would say this is a ponzi just off of that statement.

We are small mining company with 10,000 GHS available for public, we are slowly building. Due to restrictions our supplier is not able to make videos or photos. We apologize for this inconvenience.

legitimate companies (bit-x) have similar prices for actual mining power, and more for purchase as well, there is no reason for people to go over to your ponzi.
1182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: August 29, 2015, 07:56:06 PM
Just increase your rank to Senior Member... You can make it within 2 months from sig campaigns Smiley
not only increase your rank, improve the quality of your posts also not too often out of topic, and keep posting everyday
its strange to me how earning from a  sig  campaign and not getting boosted or flagged for spam is an actual topic discussed on the forum, just have a meaningful, on topic conversation about a topic in several threads and there shouldnt even be a need to consider such things. with an actual discussion taking place, theres no need to worry about being either off topic or having posts of short length.
1183  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Hashbit.co - Cloudmining starting at 0.00175 BTC/GHs on: August 29, 2015, 08:51:40 AM
Until OP shows some proof of miners I'm considering this site as a ponzi, really poorly designed one.
this exactly, can you at the very least provide a mining address as well as a signed message from that address? pictures would be nice, but a video would be nicer for you to show.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much BTC have you gambled? (anonymous on: August 29, 2015, 04:16:05 AM
Yes, I am not that much lucky.
I deposited into bustabit around 0.025btc and lost and after it I deposited 0.05btc and won and made a profit of 10k bits, then I left it on autobet for all night and in morning I saw that I am in a loss of around 44k bits. So greed also kills people.
It's very risky when you play on bustabit, don't leave your bitcoin and play with the bot if you only have a small balance Wink
and also with your bot setting.
lol, i was using a custom scrypt.
But it was set to be safe upto 4 busts in a row under 1.35.
But they gave less than 1.1 four times in a row and i was left with nothing.
And if i will play now then i will deposit atleast 100k bits, and will set the scrypt to be safe for upto 8 busts in a row.
that might end up being 100k bits lost in the end unless you set a limit for yourself to stop in the case you profit in the short run. without setting yourself a limit, your greed will take over until you end up busting, which is inevitable if you let the autobet run forever.
1185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to Start Lending on: August 29, 2015, 04:07:32 AM
accounts can be sold in the digital goods section, but be sure to take a signed message from the borrower to verify their ownership of the account as well as to ensure the account will be under your control and irrecoverable via a hacked account claim if they should default on the loan.
1186  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: do people actually make money with seconds trade on: August 29, 2015, 03:37:17 AM
is it a game of skill or just pure luck, sent 2 dollars there and i lost, do people predict the price or just hope for the best ?
From what i've gathered it seems like a 50/50 sort of gamble, since you are betting no market noise movements and not any fundamentals, so yeah its way more of a gamble than traditional trading.
with enough market knowledge and experience, secondstrade can be profitable for some people that can predict the price of bitcoin/whatever currencies are tracked on there. this possibility to gain an edge is also the reason why seconds trade has such a high house edge which is visible on the win multiplier.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: August 29, 2015, 03:34:21 AM
FU,CK GAMBLING!!!
I am done with it now, only lost money! Around 200$ that I earned on this forum, all gone to hell!

Regards,
Joust
looks like you learned your lesson the hard way, but be glad that you only lost 200 dollars chasing your greed. also, know that gambling will more then often have you go bust, as people dont know when to stop since there isnt a limit they usually set to stop gambling. unfortunately, there is a limit on how much you can lose, which is what prompts people to finally stop.
1188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Welcome Back To School! 50+ Girls Brawl At Memphis High School on: August 29, 2015, 03:32:29 AM
What happened in Memphis is just a symptom of the disease which is destroying the American inner city areas. Students who idolize drug dealers and gangsters fighting against each other, while the teachers doing nothing to stop it. The quality of the American education system is going down. And the results will be evident in the next 10-20 years.
its more or less the media that's  primarily glorifying the image of "thugs, gangsters, drug dealers, etc." the teachers likely arent too motivated to stop or teach the kids otherwise either, as tenure is handed out more often these days and in their view, that "20 years from now" wont affect them all that much.
1189  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Easycoin? on: August 29, 2015, 01:00:22 AM
Hello,
Unfortunately the link is not working.
To be safe only use official wallets.
The list can be found on bitcoin.org
Be careful.
that because that is an onion link, which your browser cant open. youll need TOR to view the site, which you probably shouldnt trust. and to op, you should try not to use a web wallet, try using a HD wallet instead.
1190  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quickseller scammed me out of my hero member account on: August 28, 2015, 07:27:41 PM
So to be clear, you are saying Quickseller scammed you because you got your account banned?
im guessing turtlehurricane was banned for excessive spamming OT posts/ trolling, which i saw coming seeing how he was spamming "omg qs trust abuse pls remove from dt now whine whine whine" in every thread that even mentioned QS. this would put ban evasion up on there too, which would probably double whatever ban he got on his main account.
1191  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining as sole source of income on: August 28, 2015, 08:32:33 AM
If you want to start earning a viable monthly income next month, and want to use (cloud) mining, 10k isn't going to cut it.
cloud mining wont cut it imo, regardless of the investment put into it, which would have to be ridiculously large to sustain a living off of that since the profits are razor thin anyways, and roi is going to take even longer tha nif you were mining by yourself with hardware.

10k either  way i think, wouldnt be enough to sustain an income off mining alone either. you would need several times that initial investment as well as cheap internet, a well ventilated and cooled location to house the miners, and most importantly, cheap electricity. it would be extremely hard even with something like a 30k investment to sustain a living, as miners can and will break, and the difficulty will always be rising. not to mention that hardware is constantly improving as well.

Hi Mitchell,

Tnx for this compilation of sig campaigns, have you thought about posting it as a google docs link so other users can update info when you're busy and make it collaborative?
I have not, but that's a pretty good idea, except that the OP will extremely empty and I would have to make sure that people don't ruin the document. I'll think about it.

That's not a good idea. You know this forum has a lot of trolls out there. They will mess this doc up.
Maybe we have OP sharing in new forum for situations like this.
the document's permissions can be edited to allow only certain people to edit it i believe, also iirc hilariousandco offered to maintain the post as being a moderator, he can edit the post.
1193  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: August 28, 2015, 07:06:32 AM
seriousle guys you cant do anything if even the A+ user scams ...
the only way it can end is deleting his account from BTC JAM and giving negatives to his credit which also not possible as far as i know
i think the accounts are put in a "blocked" status and if the borrower does not respond or make attempts to repay the loan, their documents they used to verify themselves on the site will be released to the lenders so that legal action can be pursued if the borrowers choose to do so. however, the cost of litigation falls onto the borrowers, so action isnt taken most of the time. having your personal info released to the public is fairly compelling enough though.

I know why people are hesitating, it's just because the term for the loan is big enough, but I hope everyone understands what situation I am facing, come ahead and help me get out of it...

As said, I am asking just one week/month's earnings of yours, I know they are hard-earned BTC which is why I moved for loan and not tips... Please come ahead and help...
people are hesitant not because its a long term loan, but because you do not and cannot offer collateral for this large loan youre attempting to take out. if you dont mind the high interest rate, a p2p lending site like btcjam might be your best bet. having no collateral will get you nowhere on this site.

another point to add is if any one look at your post history people will back off reason is 80% of your posts are related to betting suggestions. I think you should be knowing what I mean.
good point as well.

Dude, I know what you mean... But the only reason is that, I have been providing free tips till date and never ever charged anything to anyone and have been profitable always except Horse-Racing as it's been profitable to me as I knew how to bet and with what %...

Let's not get off-topic and talk what we are here for...

If you can help, that's fine and I will be highly obliged under your debt of showing such humanity to me...
If not, I won't mind as it's your choice...
words dont really mean much to people in this section, especially when youre asking for a couple thousand dollars upfront.
1195  Other / Meta / Re: What are Grounds for Negative Trust? on: August 27, 2015, 02:51:10 AM
the grounds for leaving negative trust is you feel the person is shady/shouldnt be trusted. thats the point of the trust system.
1196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Microaggressions, "triggers," and the coddling of the american mind on: August 27, 2015, 02:43:37 AM
That was a great article. Used to grab The Economist first but have enjoyed The Atlantic a lot more lately.
Like they mention in the article the social media kids that always had it around are just now graduating and entering the workforce. Will they dictate or submit when challenged will be the most pressing issue.
thats one of the biggest issue i see; if our universities are reinforcing that idea to these graduates that their university is going to hold their hand hand make their environment a safe place for them, those graduates will naturally come to draw the correlation that their employers will do the same. even if there is no correlation forming in their minds, they become men tally weak and unable to stand up to their so called 'traumas' and return to normalcy. crudely put, that shit doesnt fly in the workforce. an employer/boss will not put up with some bs from one of these graduates along the lines of "oh it reminds me of the time my dad hit me so i cant do this job sorry go find someone else." unlike the university that might have catered for them unquestioningly in the past, that employee would be fired on the spot. granted there are enough cases of something like this, we would end up with an incompetent and inept workforce as time progresses and more of these coddled students enter the real world. kind of rambling with my thoughts here, but that article really put something that seemed trivial/a joke in a different perspective.

Total submission, then the death of the First Amendment, then tyranny... Or total tyranny, then the death of the First Amendment, then submission...
well we got the submission part down already...
1197  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: August 27, 2015, 01:08:32 AM
The whole Identity Verfification System is a Joke, i invested in a Listing which was A or B rated and guess what everything was FAKE.
The Guy run with the Money and is now bragging in the Comment's of the Listing that everything is Fake.
And guess what, BTCJAM does nothing about it.

Stay away from BTCJAM!!!!

Can you drop me a message with this listing? I can look into it and see what is going on, thanks man.
its possible that the real borrower in that case used a stolen identity rather than falsified information/documents, and it might be prudent to investigate that case more in depth. im suspecting that is the case because the fake borrower is going around in the comments gloating as he believes that he will not be blamed for the issue; if the documents were faked there would be a larger investigation for falsifying legal documents.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How has discovering bitcoin gambling affected your life? on: August 26, 2015, 11:35:14 PM
It's let my gambling addiction continue as banks etc. (and i do mean etc.) wanted nothing to do with me anymore. It was a damn hassle funding off-shore books with fiat at the end of that chapter of my life.

However, i do like how i have a choice to continue to gamble or not. In no way am i implying bitcoin is at fault for my addiction.

In short: some days i love BTC, some days i do not  Smiley

I like your last statement, and that's largely as far as it needs to go, with many aspects of life, other than gambling, you can apply the same principle.

I think the alluring idea of that "big win" will forever be enough to entice people to return over and over and over again, and now you add stuff like online ease, simple use of services, maybe simple fiat payments/cards/withdrawals/loyalty programs etc...

There are so many things that can and are introduced into the Gambling world to keep people around, And well, if you look at lets say "top 10 pay outs for this week" and it's accurate true information from the Gambling service, then you would see, they actually do fork out a fair amount of funds back to the players, the number of players is small, the rewards are not, everybody is largely working kinda "together" and the winner takes some of my money/some of yours/the next guy and so on, vicious circle, but a business model nonetheless.
rather than the possibility of a "big win" being the main thing driving people to keep on gambling (dont get me wrong, it does), i think the bigger influence is the notion that money can be made with minimal effort, which i think the the fundamental idea that attracts people to gambling in the first place as well. what's better than doubling your money with the click of a button? or even just being dealt a blackjack and having 1.5x of your bet given to you on a silver platter? bonuses such as rake backs, loyalty/rewards programs are nice, but theyre not the driving force that has people gambling.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Microaggressions, "triggers," and the coddling of the american mind on: August 26, 2015, 11:23:44 PM
http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/09/the-coddling-of-the-american-mind/399356/

Mostly based off this article (which is an amazing article by the way, and is worth the read), the issue is focused mainly around the american youth enrolled in colleges and universities (USA). The issue is perceived as a joke here on the internet (see reddit.com/r/tumblrinaction for one example) where sensible people ridicule what seems to be the overly entitled expectations of a handful of individuals complaining about needing "trigger warnings." The writer of the article did a great job of defining it as well, linking the term to the work "microaggressions."

Quote
Microaggressions are small actions or word choices that seem on their face to have no malicious intent but that are thought of as a kind of violence nonetheless.

Quote
Trigger warnings are alerts that professors (or anyone) are expected to issue if something in a course might cause a strong emotional response.
imo, the fact that a normal, college enrolled individual with no real history of severe trauma claims that a simple microaggression, which may be as innocuous as asking an asian student "arent you supposed to be good at math?" can illicit a response similar to victims of shellshock/PTSD is ludicrous.
The loud minority that  claims to be affected in life changing ways by these microaggresions are affecting campus life, to the extent that what can be said in the classroom is limited in order to turn it into a "safe space" for the few that think they are really affected by these innocuous, everyday comments.

what is the point then, of going to college, which is supposed to prepare students for the 'real world' if the universities reinforce the idea to those few that they will hold their hands and restrict what can be said if the students dont like it?
1200  Other / Meta / Re: Is "account farming" frowned upon. on: August 26, 2015, 08:21:00 PM
I think the content from them are frowned upon.  If you are "account farming" then you might be focusing on getting posts, or making so much activity.

If you posts start to suffer because of worrying about farming, I would say yes that is frowned upon.   And what is your goal I would ask?   Raising an account to sell is not against rules but I frown upon it as I think everyone should start as newbie and go up.   But no everyone agrees on that.

I might suggest looking at the amount of time you will put into raising that account it is sizeable.  You will not make a ton of of that amount of time spent farming the account.  There are much better ways you could have spent the time in my eyes.
I created this account to sell to somebody when it hits gets close to hitting Full Member status, then sell it to a newbie who want to get a higher paying signature campaign position. I don't plan to post much from this account so it may be a year's time. I do not plan to use this account with signature campaigns.
there's no problem with that in my opinion then. i think its mostly frowned upon in the case that quickseller pointed out above:

If you are using your farmed accounts as collateral for loans with no intention of repaying those loans then that activity is going to be frowned upon.
if youre intending to just sell off the account when it hits full member status posting occasionally, i dont see a problem with it, but the mods might if the posts become spammy. minimal effort for a bit of pocket change.
