I already solved this dilemma the other day, it was a double top.

I don't agree.

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#igWeeklyztgCza1gWMAzm1g13zm2g25

See the side-wise price action at $50 on the ramp to $266?

That's where we are now... except $50 is $200.

We are not even on that chart yet.

Please let this be correct lol

With a 5K wall at 175 and ~1K at each $5 interval, I don't see it going down too far.

BEARS ARE OUT OF COINS BUY BUY BUY!!!

? The bid depth is still atrocious, what are you talking about? Or are you trolling?

With the dump that took place less than 24 hours ago, and no money flowing into Gox, I'd say the bid depth isn't that bad.

I was more or less talking about how many coins the bears could possibly have, to make people think we are going to crash again, this time to 150, so soon.

One thing "high frequency traders" never seem to grasp ... is that they could have 10x the money if they weren't such adrenaline junkies.

Great.  You made a little cash by selling over half your coin stash.

You claim you'll buy when it dips again.

Unfortunately, it will never dip to $60 again ... like it did a few months ago.

Now dips will be higher, and higher, and higher.

And you will continue buying and selling ... and making your minimal $ ...

Meanwhile, the dude who bought at 60 and held till $1,000 is the true winner.

All that coin you made in your high frequency trading will be gone, no doubt spent ... and you'll have nothing to show for it in 5 years.

While the guy who bought at 60 and held is buying a porsche with 1 coin.

Bought my first Porsche when I was 16 because I knew what I was doing.

6 years later I still know what I'm doing.

Bitcoins do not compound. Nor did I make 'little' cash. I see percentages. Numbers are relative.

You don't understand money. Especially how to make more of it.

You "seem" to know what you are doing, but good luck to you! Bitcoin is different than anything you've traded before, all it takes is one whale to make a random move, then bam, you are screwed. You either didn't see it coming and didn't get to buy back in, or you forgot to sell, sell on the way down, then it immediately corrects, both losing you "percentages". Keep your eyes wide open, because what you know, does not apply, you just got lucky last night, don't try to say anything otherwise.

Not going to quote user mah87 for obvious reasons, but I noticed his/her ignore button glows more than chart buddy's! Seems impossible doesn't it? Has to be the most ignored user here. Some people just need to give up!

Did Btc-China "crash" first or Gox?

I've gotten email responses from them this week, and it took about 3-4 days for a reply. Not sure if insolvent though.

Subcribed to check back in 1, 2, and 5 years. I bet I made a "boatload" of more money by then

Is it possible to have a bid sum/ask sum chart for the top exchanges combined?

If Gox's liquidity problem is "skewing" the charts because nobody wants GoxUSD then wouldn't sellers just put their coins on other exchanges?

I've started flashing Jallys for those without the know-how, tools, or time. Same day turnaround. Might as well raise the difficulty as much as I can lol!

How to get out of MtGox.

1) Open accounts on exchanges around the world.
2) Spend stacked up GoxUSD and buy coins on MtGox raising the price.
3) Plop them down for sell on bitstamp, etc... wait for cross-exchange prices to follow
4) Sell all coins on other exchanges for usable fiat

Either that is going on or someone or group is trying to keep mining profitable.

1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitpay does $34mil in transactions so far in 2013 on: September 17, 2013, 05:08:31 AM
I know people who have "cashed out" their bitcoin using Bitpay instead of waiting forever for Gox. That's a nice little chunk I suspect.   Wink
1198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 30, 2013, 08:31:33 PM
Bottom line is price going up for ALL THE WRONG REASONS. Why you mega-bulls get behind this BS I don't understand.

*edit*

i do understand because it is your bullshit

You don't know why they are buying! The fact you think every purchase on Gox is someone cashing out, compared to the fact they have yet to cash out, or even have near the volume on any other exchange makes zero sense. The only way for these whales to be selling now, like you think they are, is to do it in person, which is bullish, knowing people are out there wanting so many coins.

Personaly, I think these whales have so much cash stuck in their Gox accounts they realize they can profit in the meantime. All they have to do is run the price up until another bubble starts, or until Gox starts withdrawals, and then hope to dump before anyone else to get a good "propped up" price.

50k coins to $90... 50k coins to $300

1200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 25, 2013, 06:26:51 AM
I wonder if Gox could buy coins with their unwithdrawable GoxUSD, and sell it off on bitstamp, in order to have actual USD to process what few withdrawals they wish to complete. That would explain a lot, and would be hilarious (to some people). I mean it's not like somebody audits them or anything.
