The proper projects still get their funding, it's just that now there are so many ones. 6 months ago there were like 2 per month, no it's 10 per week. Of course they can't all sell out (fast). And most of them are shit anyway.

I think with the right amount of marketing NapoleonX its project is good enough to receive the amount of funding they need.

More like 10 a day Smiley. And a lot of shitty onces!
NapoleonX is getting the right marketing, showing there faces on expos, interviews on youtube, ...

Dont like the design of the website but its a great platform Smiley
Hope they will hire a great designer team.

I'm a huge fan of there idea!

You're right, that's all stuff that can be arranged afterwards. Unfortunately devs aren't designers.  Smiley

Most devs aren't designer, so some could do a good job, but we don't know if this is the case, meanwhile, the project is getting traction, more so with the marketing and the apparition of the team in expos and youtube channels, that is good for this, the concept of DAF is a new one, will definitely redesign how common people trade in the market, with cryptocurrencies as well as stock market and equity market Cheesy. I hope I could use the DAF with Depotwallet, I want to trade with real assets too, and depotwallet will let you do that, and with some DAFs many people will make a lot of profits effortlessly.

What makes this algorithmic better than several other algorithmic based ICOs.

Are there other algorithmic based ICOs? you mean other ICOs that propose to build an algorithmic ecosystem for trading in the cryptocurrency market, stock market and equity market? and that pays you GAS for participating in the selección of bots to create new COMPLEX DAFs? or similar? can you link me to those ICOs? I would like to know them and compare.

Don't play daft, there have been several ICOs with similar quips. The first two that pop up is rialto and enigma, and that's without even thinking about it. The market is filled with the arbitrage offers. Anyway, i will let it go and have the dev's prove themself
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EventChain - ICO Sept 13 Stopping excessive ticketing fees on: September 17, 2017, 05:01:20 AM

That's terrible if it's true. I don't understand the motive, I thought EventChain and other ticket ICOs weren't competing as they all focused on their own region/continent.

There are always haters.
When NEO (ANS) was created there were also articles about ANS being scam, ... look at NEO now? Wished I had bought a shitload in the beginning Cheesy

Exactly, recently there was some high level FUD spreading for Paragon also but looking at it's presale and ICO figures it seems like people are well over it.
Same will happen with EC. People know about scammers now and they don't care.

My advice to any potential investor is to do a diligent research. when in doubt, make sure you verify all angles before parting with your money.

Well, too bad for slack. I hope that the slack dev will do something fast about it, it's becoming boring to have +50 notifications and mails every day of scammers.

slack bot is out of control. many moving to either discord or telegram. discord is actually lot better.

Yep, my mailbox is flooded by slack scammers. And, it's not a new thing I don't know why slack is not giving it a much attention.

The damage could be irreparable, if the admins at slack don't do something quick.

hi guys, found another one PAYPIE video review , man briefly and clearly states his thoughts, I like it

What is presenter don't tell us about cheating in the financial accounts by businesses. If they share all their data on blockchain even if its hashes with timestamps, don't they have to be purely honest. How many businesses run at the current time by revealing financial truth? Even big empires share false statements with the world. How will paypie persuade the common business practitioners? That is the question.

The adoption of blockchain tech will improve, and business persuasion will cease to be factor.

Magic Leap is going to be releasing its first generation of hardware in the next 6 months to certain applications and investors. All of the VR/AR world is awaiting this moment.

Big things are coming in the VR/AR space very soon. Better hardware and Better Applications makes for that 10x in market size all analysts are predicting
Why will it be so expensive? 1500-2000$ sounds a lot to me for a VR device from unknown (for me) company. What will be so different/special about it?
I have not researched it yet, but i got some information on that website too.

They are not connected, VibeHub will just adopt their technology when it gets released so you will be able to use magic leap hardware on VibeHub.
If i would knew magic leap got funded by google i would even ask about the high price Cheesy

Quite interesting how they implementing various sdk into their platform. the multiple support might provide the edge needed

According to slack, minimum is 2000 ETH.
The minimum cap will be raised easily. But we will need some more whales believing in this project. Maybe when ETH starts to rise again they will be confident to invest.

I think the investors will be throwing their ETH when the price was low, if the price is back up to what it was then it is hard to get more whales. As far as I see the price per ETH will not change according to its Dollar rate so this is a good time still to have whales.
Yes, everything goes in a normal way,
At any moment large investors can come and fill the cup, project is usefull, in our time is not enough ..

I don't know. They have been getting terrible reviews. Hopefully, that doesn't scare away potential investors.

1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 16, 2017, 05:28:18 PM
Government can't technically ban ICO because cryptocurrencies are decentralized. Payments can't be blocked so they can't be banned

Governments can't stop people from paying, but apparently they can sue the business behind the ICO violating their laws.

A lot of previous ICOs didn’t take the necessary steps to “deny” US citizens from investing. All of those projects and their teams are at the mercy of the SEC for the time being. Violating US securities laws is not something anyone wants to deal with. Additionally, these laws can also be enforced upon non-US companies, which makes it even more important to take countermeasures.

https://themerkle.com/why-cant-us-citizens-participate-in-cryptocurrency-icos/

Though the market is currently taking a beating, this bans will inadvertently lead to a reduction in scam ICOs, things were/ actually are getting out of control lately.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 16, 2017, 05:25:35 PM
Profit from renting real estate or from selling. They build and than can lease or sell.

simplyfied:
they buy an estate and maintain it (they rent it). Therefor they need to take "management fees" because they do the work. then they take a small percentage of the income as a profit for themselfes. they rest of the income is diveded through the investors

No, they ll build estate for investors money, not buy. And than, they can sell or lease estate. As I understand.

oh, my bad.
but that is even cooler isnt it?

I asked Melissa in the Telegram group if they were licensed to do property management. She told me REAL team is not doing the property management but they were discussing terms with a few management companies. So, that would be the opposite of collecting fees for managing the properties. Fees would go to the management company.

That is, the management companies are still connected. Then it turns out that all rental activity will be carried out through them. At first I thought that the scheme would be simpler.

This project is about buying or building an estate, then they will rent it, distributing the profits from the rent to the token holders that participate in the buying/building of the state, so only those token holders will receive their payments. Managing companies will help take care of the estates, and they will receive part of the renting, but not all, most will go to REAL investor.

If you're referring to the management company been responsible for the rental activity, it's as such with most real estate companies. The management company always handles the rental app/ manage every other aspect of that building. Thus the reason they called a management company.

Phase 1 will be over in less than two hours.
Only 851 ETH invested. That's just 9% of the Phase 1 total...
Will Phase 2 start right after?

Phase 1 is 98% raised, it will be finished very soon. After that phase 2 will start and you will only get 15% bonus.

You should read this thread to see that the bar shows the time, NOT the amount raised.
Here you can see that until now 854 ETH have been raised:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xb70f92ff6bca4aa0c61973c27243978b20ecbe5a

Well that's pretty confusing. I don't see why they don't show time remaining instead of percentage.

Well, maybe they hope that people will invest, seeing the bar rise that fast. FOMO anyone?

You have to admit that it's a good marketing ploy. Questionable? sure. But definitely a good marketing ploy.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 16, 2017, 05:09:46 PM
at the first look 2 things are coming into my mind if i was a landlord. one positive thing and one negative thing:
the positive thing first: because relest is auction based landlord will charge maybe higher fees than on a "free market"
but
the negative thing is that the landlord has less options to choose who should occupancy his estate. this might frighten a few landlords
I assume landlord will still be able to set some rules before auction who can rent his place. Like pets, kids, no smoking, age barrier and so on. So i guess if this demands wont be met, he can still turn down the highest bid and go for the second one.

There are rules for this (; ... When someone wins the auction, his or her informations will be send to the landlord. Than they can visit the flat or the house and in this context the landlord can still say no.
So this means the auction is useless because at the end its the owners who get to decide whether he will rent his property or not, its a contradiction to the auction agreement.

I think this is a bit difficult. As I understand it before landlords can maybe say "no", but there is a rating system on the platform.

Let's say there is an tenant who wants to rent a flat of the landlord. He is bidding and wins the auction, which he got shown as ideal, because he has no pets, no kids and is non smoker for example, exactly what the landlord has written what he searchs. Well they meet and the landlord just say no, because he don't "like" the tenant. Well, then he can give a bad rating for this. If there are too many bad ratings, he has to face consequences.

A rating system would be ideal in order to discourage such incidence. This would be beneficial to both tenants and landlords respectively.

Really dont think a rating system will work for tenants, maybe for landlords. Let's say you rent a place, if you rent a place its for at least one year. So after 4 years you only have 4 ratings... if 1 is bad for a small reason landlords will not pick him because of just 1 bad rating in 4 years?

Its better only have rating system for landlords.

No both should have a rating system. am sure the platform will be programmed to reflect/account for minuscule problems. Also if they utilize id verification for registration, should curb a bit on the creation of multiple profile.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 16, 2017, 05:03:46 PM
when will you list your token?

Its actually already listed here: https://etherdelta.com/#REAL-ETH

Tokens are not transferable yet tho, I guess.

Etherdelta is decentralised peer-to-peer so the users decide which trading pairs are available. REAL tokens are transferable 7 days after the contribution period, so you can't trade there yet anyhow.

I hope they get listed on some good centralised exchanges though. On the site they state they already have a partnership with Gatecoin and are in talks with Bittrex, Liqui and HitBTC. Bittrex would be great!

Bittrex unfortunaly doesn't list many coins lately, almost none at all - regulations are a big issue for them. But it would be really nice to see REAL on Liqui or Binance even.

Will Binance still excist after the whole China debacle? I thought that they are China based?

I really don't know. I've been trying to reach Binance for 2 days now, but to no avail. Guess they are already down, so I'm glad I took all my coins out just a couple of days before. I haven't read anything about REAL being listed on Binance though. I think most (including me) are hoping for Bittrex if I read the comments Smiley

Last i heard i think they have an agreement with gatecoin and will initially be released there.

Like I said before, this project is not for everyone, this is accountants wet dream they will hold most of the emitted tokens, we will see no epic dumps imho

Yeah, I'm eager to see how the ICO why goes.

Accountability is not sexy, I hope the marketing team will find a way to demonstrated that investment in their project can have very good results.

Sexy projects don't earn money, good ones does Smiley

I will definetly invest paypie.
If what you mean by sexy is attractive, then both will be better.
Good concept/idea + attractive (good marketing and promotion) = wonderful

Nope i didn't mean good marketing and promotion.

I mean people would think accounting is boring, not want to hear lots of things about accounting.

Making chainmails can be a sexy project, you want to hear it all. But probably won't invest Smiley

What you say is true, its boring. Accounting is no fun Smiley
But because its such a niche, there will only be investors that will use or are convienced about this platform.

I believe investors don't care much if the subject itself is boring... as long as they see enough potential in a project to become profitable for them. Which is definitely the case with Paypie.

you don't need to know accounting to know the domain is highly profitable.

the real investors those with large sums/ conjoined efforts tend to do a detailed research on an ICO before joining, so a company like paypie is ahead of the game. Most that think it's boring, probably can't grasp the true extent of the idea presented.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 15, 2017, 02:09:10 PM
3............DECENTRALIZED VIRTUAL WORLD

Thanks for your answer. I'm curious about number 3. The VIBEHub whitepaper mentions decentralization only once, specifically in the context of a marketplace for creative services.

What can you tell us about VIBEHub's decentralized virtual world?

Well when you are a cryptocurrency and you are built on Ethereum. Decentralized is pretty obvious, The Decentralized world and Ethereum's technology in a Virtual World is huge for various reasons, the smart contracts that we will use on this platform will be very important for artists to artists transactions, smart contracts for paid lessons from educators. guaranteed concerts and education streams to meet everyones needs and you could even have a smart contract for a date so you never get stood up haha That is the tip of the iceberg, as the platform develops we will add more marketplaces to only allow more and more use of the smart contracts.

Also keeping away from the centralized platform in the future will be beneficial. A community, artists, educator driven platform will ensure The VibeHub application is constructed and ran by the people for the people. Keeping corporate companies clear of running our Virtual and future Virtual Worlds we believe is of the up most importance.

Ah, I was thinking more about the VR network, not the cryptocurrency. I found some technical specifications in the whitepaper section 1.5: front-end being hosted on AWS CloudFront, voice chat and body tracking through P2P.

i hope they move from AWS and support some of this newer companies with decentralization claims.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 15, 2017, 01:59:57 PM
I still son't get why a landlord would do an auction. Yes this whole thing looks very good for renters but about landlords, I don't know
For me its the other way round. Imo landlords would profit even more. They can set a minimum rent they want at least and then can use the platform to look out for tenants who would be willing to pay more.
I also think that landlords will benefit more from rent auction. They did a research in Melbourne and tenants pay 50$ more for rent if they bid for it. And i guess landlords can abuse this system a little by posting fake bids. I know they will be fighting against it, but its very hard to compliantly remove this from the equation.

you cannot force customers to pay more than they're willing to. if the customer are willing to pay inflated prices, then it's not a bad thing. we all make choices with our money.

It's not about the customers willing to pay inflated price cos they can afford it that's the issue, rather it's the customer who is been kicked out of a neigbourhood he/she grew up in, b/c the landlord discovered relest and misused it to their own advantage

Because of the huge price decreasing now REAL just got around $8 million.
Yeah team can handle the situation. Anyway we'll see how it goes.

price is gonna return up soon. nobody can stop the future of crypto assets!

I'm rather confident early october it will much better market

Hopefully, sooner than that, but i  too believe it's a temp situation. there are lot of uninformed investor in the crypto world and they easily shaken by legislative news. While the whole idea of crypto was to secede from those aforementioned legislative powers.
