... What to do if you receive funds before they are blacks-listed and then they become blacklisted after you receive them. It wouldn't be right to punish someone who couldn't have known. So any criminal will take advantage of this and swap the bitcoins for clean ones instantly, the exact moment of the crime. His bitcoins will be clean, and so will be the ones that the recipient never could have known were involved in a crime.
On the other hand the government might decide that it wasn't particularly interested in being reasonable, which they rarely if ever are, than they might blacklist coins after people receive them. In which case the lack of fungibility would be a HUGE problem. It could destroy bitcoin.
Yes, This is the crux. Those coins can be Seized as one of a list of definitions whether they be considered assets or any other medium. And for those that say the US gov is not the world, wake up, they rule the world economy whether you I or anyone else likes it. wouldnt a blacklist make the currency completely unusable since the atomic units have allready been mixed so much? or would they just try to block "recent" crime coins so the currency still works?
Don't worry. The state will confiscate and clean them up for us. Then they'll give you the privilege of buying back those shiny white coins through any of the state approved outlets in your area of residence. After your BTC address has been properly registered, licensed, taxed and all "fees" paid up to date of course.

The NXT Foundation has handled the organisation and payment for the conference so far, and we will be able to sign off on the contracts for PayExpo as a legal entity. I think the NXT Foundation should foot the bill. Those deep pockets need to support their side chains.

...I fail to see the problem.
This bothers me. A serious debate is happening in an environment that's almost devoid of technical input, at least from technical people who aren't part of the intelligence establishment. I guess I'm still steaming about the whole Bullrun thing.

So once the database is released for all to enjoy (which is so soon its about to fall off the branch - fruit/github pun!!!) what're we going to start clamoring for / working on next? ...
Do to the dependencies what we need is a hierarchy branch structure of the development schedule. This would make the Teams goals much easier to understand for the layman. Visual representation is so much easier to point out than reiterating lists. Something like a flowchart with arrows would be great for this in my opinion. EDIT: The flowchart could also be updated with people who are working on it, that would make communicating a lot easier and the work will probably go a lot faster. Really a simple Block diagram should be fine. this link might have the right template http://www.breezetree.com/articles/flowchart-templates.htmFlowcharting is designed to handle decision making. yeah, i found a couple tools. I've used flow charts as block diagrams, but if someone actually reads flow charts language, it could get confusing. https://www.gliffy.com/https://drive.draw.io/https://www.lucidchart.com/I think a couple of them have options for collaborative work, though I don't know how they handle version control or "pull requests". But I agree with the hierarchy comment - it would help both newcomer developers and the noncoders (thats me!!). For instance, there was a newcomer developer that popped into #monero and #monero-dev, all gung-ho to develop. He/she was pointed in proper directions, but I don't know what happened to him/her. But to embrace the decentralized nature of things, anyone should be able to stumble into the github via getmonero.org, see a fertile field that needs planting, and go a'forking without popping into IRC to see whats up. But I could have no idea what I'm talking about because, yah know, noob and noncoder. So I'll just go do the dishes Your doing great, wish I had the energy to get more involved but I can't even get up the drive to accomplish shit in my own life so I'll just sit here and cheer lead you guys on.

OK, so I don't know if this is OT or not but here goes.
What's your opinions on BTC next stable price? I will have to be buying in again and obviously want to grab BTC as low as possible as it's nothing more than a vehicle to XMR for me.
I am very curious as to how many monero holders take this stance. Are you "All in" or do you hold some xbt? I know it's heresy to ask how much btc deep these "all in"ers (or anyone) are as it infers approximate xmr holdings, but my curiosity begs the question still. I don't believe in BTC and won't even be bothered to call it XBT as most of the world doesn't know or even care what XBT means and barely knows what BTC means. I think it's retarded to try to rename something that is just getting a foothold in peoples mind. But I think XBT (happy?) will be gone in under a decade as the Blockchain will (If it hasn't already) be completely mapped and when that happens then All hell will break loose as LEA and Lawyers will be going apeshit over who owns what. It's already been shown by Coins being blacklisted from exchanges and gateways like coinbase collecting user info, the writing is on the wall. Nomenclature semantics aside, I simply find interest in the motivations of different xmr investors. I share many of your concerns for btc (happy?, ) and have gravitated to Monero for similar reasons. I believe bitcoins fungibility is fundamentally broken. It's development has also failed to remain agile, miserably. However I still see significant gains to be made down the road. I still hold a strong belief that for Monero to make it, bitcoin has to make it first. The public will be too cynical of cryptocurrencies if bitcoin fails. If crypto is to happen, it rather needs to succeed then fade into the background as something superior takes over. Otherwise I think some kind of state sponsored cryptocurrency may be the more likely outcome. EDIT: Don't want to be OT. Looks like 0.003 is quite determined to be the price of monero right now. I don't disagree, I did not mean to sound like I think BTC will crach and burn. I just see it going the LTC route albeit slowly as it is not an abandoned project. I think Bagholders will be looking to diversify and that is one reason XMR got a nice shot in the arm recently and I fully expect that to continue. As time passes holders will continue to see the threads come apart and will inevitably drift toward XMR and/or other alternatives. AFA the bolded statement, I cannot see any scenario where that will happen. The writing is on the wall and the only reason it will not be a quick death is large holders (and stubborn true believers) will shore up their investments as they divest. To address the "motivations of different xmr investors" I cannot speak for others but mine is simply the belief that it is needed for a free society and anything supporting that goal is where you will find me.

Watching with interest to see the adoption of this... I'm by not means a programmer but taught myself enough python to get a quite sophisticated bot up and running on Poloniex. So always good to see what the competition is doing! Nice to hear, why don't you post what points your bot purchased at in a few days. I'd be interested to see the results.

Post the actual contracts and applications sent to the bank and how this is going to work out. The software is ok, where's the paper work though? Contracts not yet concluded, and will be made before the end of summer At this stage the reformatting of code from the old system which we wrote and split the Node into 2 parts. In legal terms we decide which Bank to work with. But we tend to https://www.piraeusbank.com/sites/ukraine/ru/Pages/default.aspx (wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piraeus_Bank) but this is still under consideration. We also viewed the option of working with the system http://moneypolo.com/. The legal part is we have a lot of time and hinders technological process. We want to make the right decision that would then not be altered. We also study the principles of Western monetary systems, Leader, Contact Still not a lot of patience and everything will get more information The biggest bank in Greece will adopt some obscure cryptocurrency? This seems more like fake information to pump a dead coin. "But we tend to" = speculation, they won't return your phone calls or emails. No point in mentioning any of these hypothetical or speculations or desires until you got results to deliver. Don't pump and dump. Don't turn NODE into scam. I agree with you here, not to mention that Greece's economy is not doing good at all. This makes no sense. While doubtful, actually a ruined economy would be more inclined to trying a different approach than a robust one. IBM has been working on their own Blockchain for banking systems as Banks like to control the assets they manipulate.

Great post. I agree with everything that i know enough about to comment on. Though we might be pleasantly surprised. Especially if there is a catalyzing event such as people being kidnapped by the state as a result of block chain analysis.
Wow. Is that something that big bitcoin holders actually fear ? I would think they would fear the day it loses all fungibility. The day when LEA start seizing coins for any previous iteration they were connected to.

Good day.
Sorry for quoting but he put soo much effort into this dribble I had to. AnnoyMint is special. I doubt everyone gets the humor. Yeah. I specially enjoyed the non-comb reverse Tupelo honey equation. Now that was funny. So I went back and read the entire post and did get a few chuckles from it. How would this handle it? http://thestack.com/cornell-justin-cheng-troll-behavior-130415
