11821  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not work with Trezor and can't send money on: August 26, 2018, 02:29:27 PM
Go to Ian Coleman's BIP39 converter[1] (or run it locally) and write your recovery seed in the "BIP39 Mnemonic" field. Then, scroll down to the "Derived Addresses" section and try to find your address (13ZjqoaMNQSWxXwejA7t5iAWYLcuahE1mi) there. If you do, copy its private-key and import into Electrum (File -> New/Restore -> Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys -> Paste your private key -> Next). Then, try to spend the coins (you won't need the Trezor).

P.S: This will make your current wallet unsafe since the private-keys aren't isolated in the device anymore. When you recover your coins, create a brand new wallet (with a new seed) and try again (this time, test receiving and sending with a small amount before sending your whole balance).

Did you click on the "Sign" button? If not, that's the first step.

Try the following:

Code:
0100000002436a52b31e94aa231d3e3ac7cf0135d157ddbd780d45d2070e52a2d0e51f0cc30100000000ffffffffc3751a242e0cd9b99e018a60b6d29ad0503579e12ba2a784a9c333cb0c2e28660100000000ffffffff01f0490200000000001976a9142ee102e325fd776a6058b3cb7b1aa49f6de6975488ac00000000
You can verify it here.

or

Code:
0100000002436a52b31e94aa231d3e3ac7cf0135d157ddbd780d45d2070e52a2d0e51f0cc3010000000000000000c3751a242e0cd9b99e018a60b6d29ad0503579e12ba2a784a9c333cb0c2e286601000000000000000001f0490200000000001976a9142ee102e325fd776a6058b3cb7b1aa49f6de6975488ac9c370800
You can verify it here.

Which makes sense, since you are trying to spend the inputs of 3JsKiSRNmKv7ZgMjZWTDqLiuZ12TFdjAZW with the private key of 1CvmfSJZUs9KTmu9wrREZVS3EAwTPXxCwD

While 1CvmfSJZUs9KTmu9wrREZVS3EAwTPXxCwD does not hold ANY UTXO's. (And, correct me if i'm wrong, it can't be from a multisignature since it starts with a 1.., right?)

To spend 3JsKiSRNmKv7ZgMjZWTDqLiuZ12TFdjAZW you'll need the privkey(s) of 3JsKiSRNmKv7ZgMjZWTDqLiuZ12TFdjAZW, not 1CvmfSJZUs9KTmu9wrREZVS3EAwTPXxCwD?
That's wrong. From the Coinbin's page, he needs the signature of the address 1CvmfSJZUs9KTmu9wrREZVS3EAwTPXxCwD. In a Time Locked Address, you specify the public key that will be able to unlock the funds after a certain date.
11824  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I made a website that allows you to buy anything on Amazon.com for 10% off. on: August 26, 2018, 12:36:47 PM
You can usually get 15% to 20% discount on Purse.io - I've seen a few friends getting 28% off discount on several items.

Why would anyone use your unknown service? What's the advantage over an already known and trusted service with better rates?

They all are attractive prices. But how is it possible?  How safe is it and how do make from the cheap sales.
Buying discounted Amazon gift cards. The same as Purse.io and a few "making-money" forums.

Do you ship worldwide?
They place the order for you, so if Amazon ships worldwide, obviously they will (they don't actually, Amazon does).
11825  Other / Meta / Re: Why bctalk accounts are getting hacked? on: August 26, 2018, 12:27:19 PM
I've read the topic about this secret question in the link you have provided in the first page but I'm just wondering why the description says different. Well I believe you now as there are several members who already tested it out.
Did you even read the link I posted? Or just the title?

The forum software (SMF) includes the Secret Question method of recovery by default. However, theymos disabled that option for security purposes due to the 2015 hack that leaked the Secret Questions and Answers of the users. He didn't change the page text (that says you can recover your acc with the Secret Question), but it doesn't matter.

[...] The reason that the accounts are locked is because the May 2015 hack leaked Bitcointalk's database which did not securely secure the Secret Question and Answer. To prevent people from guessing the answers, theymos made it so that accounts that are recovered using the secret question are automatically locked when the option is attempted. This is to prevent hackers who may be able to guess the answers from the leaked database. [...]

~
If you are so sure about this, why don't you set up a Secret Question and try yourself?

Spoiler: NO. No one can access your account with just the secret answer. This will only lock your account - as explained in the previous page. Please read the whole thread before making a new post.

11827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I get help for stolen coins from a scammer? on: August 26, 2018, 03:23:45 AM
What exactly are you looking for? If you sent the coins to the scammer, he is the only one who can give them back to you.
11828  Other / New forum software / Re: ...Question... on: August 25, 2018, 07:36:12 PM
I think I'm having an headache  Huh ... I really can't find other solutions that may prevent these scams and also some remedies to find those culprits to have an immediately filed case for them.

Doing business here in the new platform would still be risky and a lot more money will be wasted if the scams will not be forcibly outgone.
Two words: use escrow.
11829  Other / New forum software / Re: ...Question... on: August 25, 2018, 07:00:10 PM
No. There will never be any kind of KYC verification or requirements to connect any social media account to your forum account in this forum. NEVER.

Ahm, No... I'm not talking about directly of having KYC before having an account on this new platform... What I really mean is "The Same" thing as KYC... like some other forums that has GOOGLE+, FACEBOOK SIGN IN and other ways to log on...then after that a CAPTCHA will pop up the same as we have here.
Anyone can create a fake Google+/Facebook account with fake data. This won't do anything other than making a hassle for the new users who don't use social media websites for obvious reasons (privacy, mainly). Don't forget that you are on BitcoinTalk, and any kind of KYC requirement goes against the real idea of why Bitcoin was created in the first place.
11830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If I am not good at constructive post then I can't get merit. on: August 25, 2018, 06:42:50 PM
If you don't deserve merit, you won't get any. That's what merit was created for: reward those who can do HQ posts, help users, contribute with the forum, etc...

Anyone can make constructive posts if they actually care about having real discussions instead of only focusing on ranking up, joining bounties or making the minimum amount of posts to get paid on a signature campaign.
11831  Other / New forum software / Re: ...Question... on: August 25, 2018, 04:30:41 PM
I thought epochtalk is still under developmental process which is alao discussed by other members as a new forum?  And why such we need KYC  for epochtalk since it is also a forum?  Do we need to invest in a project so that they should require to do KYC?
It's literally in his post. Requiring the users to confirm their ID to prevent scams and helping to catch the scammers.

"And also, I think the scams will be prevented and not only that if this thing happens that person can be sued."

IS EPOCHTALK RUNNING BY THE WAY?
No. You could see it at https://beta.bitcointalk.org but the link is off.
11832  Other / Meta / Re: Why bctalk accounts are getting hacked? on: August 25, 2018, 04:04:08 PM
If the "Secret Question" is one of the reasons why accounts are being hacked, then why is it still there? More people will get confused whether they will use it or not. Huh
AFAIK, the "Secret Question" actually locks your account. So I don't think it's one of the major reasons why many accounts are getting hacked. My guess is that most people are getting hacked because they are using the same password in other websites - e.g ICO related websites/dashboards, which is even worse - or because their computer are infected. I've never seen a tech-savvy user getting hacked here.

Mine got hacked by my "Secret Question" .
It didn't.

For reference: PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT
11833  Other / Meta / Re: Please show Trust in Project Development on: August 24, 2018, 11:59:44 PM
Why instead of showing the trust score only on that section you do not show it on the whole forum?
Even if Theymos activates the visualization in this section, scammers will change section to avoid it. Prevention is better than cure so maybe it's better to enable it on the whole forum.
The main idea (at least how I see) is that someone's trust score shouldn't matter in a discussion (not related with anything that envolves being trusted or requires any kind of trust).

s it possible with this type of forum to have popup mouseover? Maybe if you do not want to have the option to see a person's trust on the whole forum (even if I do not understand why) it might be useful to have a mousover window popup appears on a person's nickname. What do you think about it?
Yes. It's possible with pure HTML.
11834  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: NEED REDDIT SPECIALIST on: August 24, 2018, 11:41:54 PM
I do have a question for you Sir,

Isn’t, reddit dissallowing promotions advertising on cryptocurrency ?
They did ban cryptocurrencies ads. But what OP wants people to advertise with posts/comments/discussion and not Reddit itself. Crypto related subreddits are allowed.
11835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Listing Token For Free On EXDelta.github.io on: August 24, 2018, 10:06:48 PM
Why is this shitcoin listed in the Bitcoin Services section?

Reported.
Huh

Which shitcoin? This is an exchange (or at least a copy of an existing one).
11836  Other / Meta / Re: Sorry, this account has not yet been approved on: August 24, 2018, 08:32:57 PM
Please send a link where at registration you must specify a bitcoin-wallet. Thanks

At the forum when registering there is an item where it says that you can restore the account using mail!
Look... it doesn't matter. That's the only way. PERIOD. What else do you want me to say? The admins will only recover your account if you can sign a message from a staked address. THAT'S IT. If you don't can't sign the message, your account will be lost. Is this the better solution? No, BUT IT'S THE ONLY SOLUTION. How hard is it to understand that?
11837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Listing Token For Free On EXDelta.github.io on: August 24, 2018, 07:52:31 PM
Does your platform provide trading of these tokens or you just add them on the market?
This website is a clone of ForkDelta/EtherDelta. They utilize EtherDelta's decentralized contract which costs nothing to add a token but are charging 0.2 ETH to "request a token to be listed"; So, there is nothing free in their website and they are trying to scam the users by charging ~$55 for something that is free.

Also, how broke are you that you couldn't afford a cheap hosting and a domain name? Why would you host your site on GH-pages? If your websites involve any transactions, I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
It has nothing to do with being broke. The website is hosted on GitHub, so using GH pages is more like a "transparent" way of showing that the website is running the same code as shown in the GH source repo.

Still, this is nothing more than a clone of ForkDelta/EtherDelta. There are no reasons why you should use this website instead of the original ones (besides the extra 0.2 ETH they are charging you... LOL).
11838  Other / Meta / Re: Sorry, this account has not yet been approved on: August 24, 2018, 07:37:44 PM
I understand that I do not have any chances to return an account?
If you don't follow the default procedure (signing a message from a staked address), no one is going to recover your account. Period.
11839  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 10 min (on average) for block time? is it a rule? on: August 24, 2018, 05:46:33 PM
TLDR: "Decreasing the block time would increase the number of orphan blocks."

Quote
Decreasing block time decreases the amount of time a newly made block has to fully propagate through the network.

Lets say you have 1 node which mines a block and sends it out into the network. 5 minutes later, the last node on the network receives the block, and starts working on the next one. If you decrease the block time to - lets say - 2 minutes, A node would send out a block and because it takes 5 minutes for the block to make it all the way through the network, a node on the other side of the network may also mine one and send it out before even hearing about the one that has already been mined. Now you have 2 competing blocks in the network. Most of the time, the network will instantly reject the block - an orphan block, but sometimes the blocks we're mined close enough together you can get a split in nodes, one following one block and the other following the other block - This is a fork.

In short this is a means of network security, and 10 minutes was selected as a happy medium between low orphans/forks and a fast network.

11840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anybody use ICQ field in your profile? on: August 24, 2018, 05:16:26 PM
I don't think I've used my ICQ login for about 15 or 20 years. Totally forgotten about it honestly. I doubt that my account even still exists at this point!
Is that service even still widely used? I suppose if the option is there to include it in the forum profiles, they must still have a large enough presence to make it worth it.

For all I know, it has maybe even grown by leaps and bounds in design and functionality and I am just in the dark... Roll Eyes
The current forum software is quite old (SMF 1.1.19) and the ICQ option is there by default. I don't think many people still use it, but the option is still there simply because there are no real reasons to remove it. I've also seen a few users who still use it.
