Been an AMD guy since I started mining ETH back in 2015...finally picked up a 3060ti (ASUS Tuf) and pretty impressed. Setting up linux was a bitch...reminded me of the early days with all the X server crap needed to run nvidia-settings...AMD drivers are way ahead of Nvidia on linux, but these cards are amazing out of the box...hitting 62.5 stable on this @130 watts. Definitely better than 5700s with ~58MH @140 watts and a shit tone of BIOS tweaking to get them there and not as stable. Now need to figure out how to undervolt these on linux ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) yeah my aorus 3060ti is nice on smos and on win 10 60.8mh on 124 watts.

Smart wifi switches are very nice. I can restart the rig remotely when it freezes. I monitor power consumption too.
They are god send! Ive been using them for years and have saved me so many trips to the moning warehouse ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Mine even have watt meters built in that log the power usage. nice these are the best I have 4 of them from digital logger. you can buy them used on ebay. this is a great model for 1x 30 amp 240 circuit https://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Loggers-EPCR3-Ethernet-Power-Controller/114598321218?

Well that was fun... Shut down my Synology NAS today to do some electrical work around the house. Powered it back on and was greeted with a flashing blue power light and not much else. Turns out the NAS itself has shat the bed and not the hard drives; common issue with the DS415+ apparently (not that that helps me much) So now I've got to buy another NAS tomorrow and HOPE that my 24GB of data isn't all fucking gone when I plug the disks into the new NAS. If it is gone it isn't the end of the world (mostly TV shows and movies on it) but I've spent years collecting it all. I know it's off topic but just had to rant. Told my wife and she wasn't too interested ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) On topic however... these last two days have been good consolidation I think. Things were getting a bit too heated, nice to catch our breaths a bit before the next leg up. Hope everyone has a better day than I yeah I got rid of that one. I have 2 of these. https://www.newegg.com/synology-ds120j/p/N82E16822108637?each has this hdd https://www.newegg.com/gold-wd102kryz-10tb/p/N82E16822234399?and I have one nas copy the other nas. they are a bit slow but they work more reliably the the 415 and there is the back up

Going to make A thread 🧵 for gpu miners.
listing cheap easy tools 🧰 for us gpu miners.
1) a few screwdrivers 2) a wire stripper 3) a digital meter 4) a psu tester. 5) a kwatt meter
software
windows 10 smos hive os
these are very likely the minimum you need
other software
msi afterburner
many would say bios flashing software.

The end of the year is already close, everyone is eager for change, especially considering that BTC has crossed the 20K mark and set several new records. So I thought, why not bring some small but rather significant updates to this thread? I suggest updating the first post by adding a matrix with the regulars of this hangout.- The profiles of the people (below) have been sorted according to their contribution to the development and maintenance of interest in this place.
- I also excluded from this list inactive people and those who sold their soul to the devil (who worship BCH & shitcoin SV).
p.s. I join in the words of Hhampuz, you guys are fucking cool! [Although, it took me two hours to put together the bbcode that emphasizes your awesomeness]This is very pretty. What was the ranking criteria? I gotta say the ranking order seems pretty decent to me... however it must be emphasizing walls of text, words that rhyme with "selfie", or eye rolling emojis or stock photos a little too highly in my humble opinion. Just a little, though. I came back here this year . Stopped posting here years and years ago. But I believed we were going to uptick and this is the best thread to ride when btc is hot. I am thankful I made the list. Hats off to the op

Btw if you look at the charts, you can clearly see which shitcoin got pumped into from that dump in Bitcoin yesterday.
It'll reverse soon.
No that coin has 1-2 months of up before it tanks. It certainly will clear 1000 You said it yourself though, miners mining ETH and then trading directly for BTC is a constant headwind for ETH. Ultimately no one wants to hold that shitcoin long term. Absolutely. I mine it because it makes money. I hold it short term on coinbase. And convert it to btc and cash when It shifts up. This allows me to hodl my btc.

Finally got the rig to work, it wasnt the drivers or anything, seems my hx1200 is dying, 2x 3060ti and a 5700xt modded hashing happily, nvidia really did an amazing job with their new card lineup ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FDHdvSqn.jpg&t=663&c=eAfG4sz6HlXTvA) (i tried to make the pic to show on the forum but it seems im a bit too dumb... so only a link) see if this worked. you were a newbie it does not post for newbies. I gave you a merit keep posting you will become a jr member and can show a photo

nice this is very nice set of streaks BitStamp USD/BTC ------------------------ 1 2020-12-27 27,081 2 2020-12-26 25,613 3 2020-12-25 24,132 4 2020-12-20 23,607 5 2020-12-19 23,490 6 2020-12-23 23,488 7 2020-12-24 23,206 8 2020-12-22 23,142 9 2020-12-21 23,029 10 2020-12-18 22,874 11 2020-12-17 22,781 12 2020-12-16 20,395 13 2020-12-15 19,341 I arranged in a different manner 2020-12-27 27,081 2020-12-26 25,613 2020-12-25 24,133 2020-12-24 23,206 2020-12-23 23,488 2020-12-22 23,142 2020-12-21 23,029 2020-12-20 23,607 2020-12-19 23,490 2020-12-18 22,874 2020-12-17 22,781 2020-12-16 20,395 2020-12-15 19,341 the top 13 has never been 13 days in a row until the set above. true or false ? note all data is from the charts in this thread I also used some of my posts in this thread bits and pieces pulled together https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=138109I find the 13 days in a row all making the top 13 very cool. For USD stats I also find all five currencies are at top 11 in a row No more 4 digit numbers in any currency. On the USD side We never had 1 month in a row of five digits nov 2020 did it If we stay at five digits for 28-29-30-31 We will have Nov above five digits actually above 13,000 and we will have Dec above five digits actually above 17,000 I would love to see all of Jan 2021 above 22,000 Lets go BTC!!

I mean what stops you from withdrawing that money to your own bank account, then use that money to buy bitcoin?
Absolutely nothing is stopping me from doing this. I figured I'd dip my toes into this PPBTC shit to the tune of at least 4 digits USD, and see what happens. As others mentioned already, I kinda get the "moral imperative" part of supporting any new Bitcoin on-ramp, but it's distasteful AF to me.Won't be cashing out the coins until at least this time next year, for long-term capital gains reasons. Hopefully Paypal allows withdrawal of BTC into your own custody by then so I won't have to cash out at all. I don't love Paypal much at all. I have used them for 17 maybe 18 years. I sold a lot of modded mac mini's on eBay 2006 to 2014 then apple made the gear too hard to mod. I shift to BTC and pc builds. SO I would like to thank ebay ,PayPal, and apple for being here on bitcointalk. I will end up buying around 1000 usd over 2021 . added to my 550+

Well we could see some serious earnings for miners if your numbers are correct. The top ten companies have more than enough to lose 15% each and make btc gain bigly 1) 2.244t 2) 1.684t 3) 1.592t 4) 1.174t 5) 0.763t 6) 0.669t 7) 0.627t 8 ) 0.600t 9) 0.550t 10) 0.531t total of 10.43t 15% is 1.5645 trillion 11) BTC .464t btc would be 2.0285 trillion apple if it lost 15% would be 1.9074 so BTC could possibly be Number one and over 2 trillion in a year if Mikey is correct that diff goes 2x. us miners will have an outstanding 2021 year.

Not my list but a good one that points out allot of true things. 1. Approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are living in homes that are either considered to be either “low income” or impoverished. 2. More than 25 percent of all U.S. children have a chronic health condition that affects their ability to learn. Perhaps we should not be feeling them so much junk food. .....
It feels like I returned to the 80s, and I listen to 1 of the 3 available TV channels in the USSR. Classic Soviet propaganda, sample of the 80s ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) One question - if everything is so bad there, everyone is stupid, everything is degrading - why is the American economy the strongest, the United States is a leader in innovation and technology development, the United States provides financial and technical assistance to half of the world, and for 80% it is a market for selling its products ?! You can fantasize a lot, but reality does not change from this ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I was born in the USA. I lived here most of my life. Other than 5 years in the USA Navy. USA is not structured for a pandemic. China is structured for a pandemic. Sooo how long before the next pandemic. Not a very complicated question. My guess is a new pandemic worse than this one in under 10 years. I also guess freedom loving anti mask conspiracy people in the USA will not handle it any better than this one. BTW in no way am I accusing China of creating this pandemic or the next one. I am simply observing China is better equipped to handle one.
