11841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: October 12, 2015, 04:38:16 PM
How many of you can admit that buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of your life? I can. I'm approximately -50% in fiat funds now.
Sooner or later some type of bank chain or coin will come and gain mass adoption - while bitcoin still remaining a geek coin
to buy weed.
I know this forum is more like a cult than a information channel what comes to honest opinions but I know there's others
on this forum who feel the same, almost all of us. Don't let your cult believer ego come in the way.

Your never lose unless you start selling , that's the golden rule .
So you should keep them until the price goes up instead of selling them and if you bought them high and u wanted to re-sell then you should knwo that bitcoin is a long term investment and it doesn't work like that & to answer your question I like bitcoin and I never regret buying (even if I didn't buy that much) .
11842  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Loanbase.com - Scam or legit ? on: October 12, 2015, 04:04:21 PM

11844  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi Discussions on: October 12, 2015, 03:23:53 PM
Please add "none of the above" , that would be my vote .
We see a lot of threads about Satoshi lately and most of them are "Is Satoshi a girl" "Is Satoshi dead" "who is satoshi" and those usual questions which really become boring after a while ...
Satoshi was able to hide himself/herself for six years now and people should know that there is no way in hell that they will know who is he unless he decide to reveal his identity using a signed message from one of his addresses (otherwise it's fake) .. Till then all topics about him should be removed/banned because I don't see the point of making two billion thread about one subject and that's just my opinion of course.

and this should show you how much thread there is :  http://lmgtfy.com/?q=satoshi+identity+bitcointalk (click show more results from bitcointalk.org)
11845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Loanbase.com - Scam or legit ? on: October 12, 2015, 02:51:49 PM
this is the renamed site of btclendingclub
i used to received notifications from them
their requirements for loan is outrageous

Oh right , I just saw the backlinks to articles for CoinNewsMagazine & Coindesk still , I don't know both of them so .. if anyone could give me more info about this BitcoinLendingClub , I would really appreciate it .
What do you mean by outrageous ? what do they ask you exactly so you get a loan ; Please don't tell me it's worst then BTCJam for what comes to the informations part .
11846  Economy / Service Discussion / Loanbase.com - Scam or legit ? on: October 12, 2015, 02:39:59 PM
I never heard of this websites but I saw one or two users speaking about it on the forums so I thought on making this topic to see if people know Loanbase.com or not and what's are there experience with it .
It seems like they have a decent amount of borrowers and also funded shitload of $ (BTC) . Anyway I'd like to hear from people and know more about this service and  if it's legit what's the difference between this one and BTCJam .
11847  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-10-12] Meet Secco: The UK’s ‘Blockchain-Inspired’ Challenger Bank on: October 12, 2015, 01:03:59 PM
Three months ago, Chris Gledhill was an innovation technologist at one of the UK's largest banks, Lloyds.

While it was a great job, he told CoinDesk, it was also incredibly frustrating. The scale of the bank meant he had insight into clear problems with the financial system, but it also meant he lacked any ability to change them.

So, he quit. Now, with the help of three (unnamed) co-founders Gledhill is building a 'blockchain-inspired' challenger bank, Secco.

The aim is simple, he says: "To disrupt banking from the outside in, rather than the inside out."

Happy reading :  http://www.coindesk.com/meet-secco-the-uks-blockchain-inspired-challenger-bank/
11848  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: user vortex20000 is a scammer !! ban him now !! on: October 12, 2015, 12:59:02 PM
NOW A NEW STORY IS THERE !!!

HE SAYS HIS WALLET WAS ALSO HACKED AND HE JUST CAME TO KNOW IT TODAY SO CANT PAY ME THE 0.05 HE PROMISED.

I don't know him and I'am not supporting him or anything but maybe he is actually saying the truth , I mean why would he give you 0.05BTC offer while he can simply pay you 0.005BTC on the first place ? It wouldn't make a lot of sense if you ask me (Ask him to give you the adresses the funds was taken from + a signed message from it ) .
Still users like him (who have knowledge on the hacking field etc ) shouldn't get hacked easily due to their knowledge of the security measures that should be taken so...
11849  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About Ongoing Bitcoin Malleability Attack on: October 12, 2015, 12:19:48 PM
There is no need for TL;DR for me , I read all . But if you say that we never lose our bitcoins then how do you explain last time on Bit-x.com (just an example) signature compaign , some people got affected with this attack and never received their coins , and Bit-x had to send us the payouts once again , so the first BTC that they sent and we never received them ... where are they if they are not "lost" ?

Let me make two examples, first the one where no problems occure but the whole things is a bit annoying.

Alice wants to send coins to Bob and issues a transation. The TX uses confirmed(!) inputs since Alice received the coins weeks ago. The TX gets modified along the way and Bobs wallet freaks out slightly. It could e.g. show a wrong balance because it shows the inputs from Alice twice. Once one of the two TX is confirmed, Bob does a rescan for the wallet and everything is fine.

Now a variant that might have happened with Bit-x, because they are a service and send coins on a regular basis.

Alice sends coins to Bit-x. The coins are added to her balance and she is happy. Before the transaction is confirmed Bit-x uses the coins to issue payment for their signature campaign. Because of the way transactions work, they point to the TX ID Bit-x received first. While they did this, the TX was modified and got another TX ID. Now we have two competing transactions. One where everything is fine and one where the follow up TX to the participants of the campaign gets invalid. If the modified TX gets confirmed (which happens) the follow up TX requires a TX ID that can not confirm. Thus it becomes invalid as well. Nodes start to drop it from their memory or at the very least no longer relay it.

The participants got no payment and Bit-x needs to make sure their code does not issue TX that use unconfirmed inputs.

ty for the help so I see after you explained it it makes more sense (had to read couple of times the second part but finally got it xD )  . I thought there was only one issue & it seems like there is two

Yes before you link to that CoinKite article , I already read it . however I still don't get it ... Our funds are logically not going to be compromised or anything however when I send BTC what should do so the other user actually receive them and he don't get the attack ? nothing ?  It's simply by luck ? I can send 1 BTC and simply "hope" so he will receive them ? if he don't my BTC are screwed ?  Huh because this make no sense honestly and is this attack permanent ?

It solves many issues and here is one of them :

11853  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon, and you can help! on: October 12, 2015, 10:42:59 AM
What about Zerocoin/Zerocash?  Huh
http://zerocash-project.org/

https://twitter.com/ZerocoinProject  , It's seems like Darkwallet , just another funded but dead project . Instead of new people using shitload of money to open and run their exchange , they should probably invest in a revolutionary project like this .  But yes agreed with the idea if OP could revive Zerocoin or Darkwallet that would be great !
11854  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Get a website for free! 5 Free Websites for Anyone! on: October 12, 2015, 10:39:40 AM

11856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your opinions on the halving HERE on: October 10, 2015, 04:58:22 PM
With the halving coming up next year there's been a lot of speculation.
What are your thoughts about it?

First of all , people shouldn't be comparing Bitcoin to Litecoin halving block-reward because they are simply not the same .
Now , I personally think that the price will increase even before the halving block reward because demand should rise since people are waiting it so they will buy more to hold after the halving block logically , the issue comes on what's going to happen from now till ..Let's say May-June  .
11857  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Digital goods marketplace on: October 10, 2015, 02:56:13 PM
If you ask me people are looking for something Open-Source and Decentralized and not for another company similar to Amazon and Ebay and that kind of stuff , It dosen't matter if the items are digital or not .
So unless your website will have something additional to give more then Open-Bazaar will do , I don't think you will have a lot of users.
11858  Economy / Services / Re: Get a website for free! on: October 10, 2015, 11:31:09 AM

This is not going to happen very soon then , unless they decide to expand to worldwide or at least to Europe as a start  . because ONLY supprting USA aint going do much to the price .
