11881  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed transaction help ? on: November 20, 2014, 02:37:23 PM
Wallets by default should include a transaction fee, and for people that don't want to deal with this they must have an option to manually disable fees.

Bitcoin Core doesn't send anything without transaction fee, even if you set transaction fee to 0 they still require you to add minimum 0.0001 as fee.

Thats not true. Bitcoin Core is perfectly fine with sending your TX without a fee as long as the priority of the TX is high enough without fee.

I tried it for fun, and everything when I am trying to send coins without fee it tells me minimum required fee is 0.0001BTC

It won't let me send anything without that fee, even though I manually have set the fee to 0.

Take an input of >1 btc and wait 1-2 weeks after receiving it. Worked fine for me in the past, I think the input you spend is either to small or not old enough. Enable coin control to see more about the inputs before using them.

I will definitely try that for testing purposes.

The coins were just a few days in my wallet when trying. Does it matter if the coins are freshly mined?

11883  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitstamp was hacked - Speculation on: November 20, 2014, 10:32:36 AM
Let's assume for the moment that wobber suddenly stops constantly posting doom&gloom postings here and turns mega bullish. What do you think it would happen to the price?

IMO, he's been bearish with good reason. The price has dropped for nearly a year now and there is still very likely more to come. If he turned uber Bullish it would mean the next bubble is half over.

like how people scream moon @1200 there will be people who scream doom at 300   Cheesy

I don't know if I'm thinking correctly but my main problem is not the price, I'm pretty happy with it. My issue is with all the speculators that use centralized exchanges and platform, basically putting their coins into the hands of a single entity.

USMS coins are in the govt hands because of them. Gox coins are lost because of them.

I moved all my coins 1 month before Gox closed and now using only P2P trading on localbitcoins.

Are there currently any signs that Bitstamp could be headed in the direction of Mt. Gox?  I mean, there were a lot of troubling signs at Mt. Gox - what troubling signs do you see with Bitstamp that would make you point out Bitstamp as the one to potentially get hacked?  Why not BTC-e, or Bitfinex?

I have a lot of money on Bitstamp, so I'd be interested in knowing why you specifically singled out Bitstamp and related it to Mt. Gox;

Nothing will happen with Bitstamp, no worries.

You can't compare Bitstamp with MtGox, as MtGox has a history with a lot failure and unhappy users.

Every exchange can get hacked, OP decided to only point out Bitstamp.

11885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for Bitcoin in Finland on: November 20, 2014, 02:36:57 AM
Would I hope all countries to not tax Bitcoin? Yes. But that's unfortunately not going to happen.

Good news for Bitcoin in general, Finland is an example of how countries should treat Bitcoin.

Volkan Demirel Turkey keeper voluntarily gave his spot to the other keeper because he didn't want to play in the Turk Telekom Arena.

Why?

Because he has some mental problems. Nobody loves him and other sick bastard named Emre Belözoğlu. They need to be in jail for racist/fascist/provocative behavior.

Never seen two clubs literally hate each other that much as with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

Arsenal - ManUtd this weekend, great match for sure! I really hope to see Falcao back on the pitch, perhaps in the second half he will get some play time.
11889  Economy / Speculation / Re: If last year's ATH was manipulated, what's stopping them from doint it again now on: November 20, 2014, 01:09:41 AM
Exchanges can manipulate the prices to a new ATH whenever they want. We all know how MtGox manipulated the price to over $1200.

Nothing will stop them from doing so. I hope the next ATH will be one caused by genuine demand, and not one created by exchanges.

11891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price In The Next 12 Month on: November 19, 2014, 08:56:19 PM
I think it won't change much, we will certainly not see $1000 if that's what people are thinking and hoping for.

It will swing between $250 - $500 There will be a lot opportunities to make good profit Smiley

Dont you think it's better to have the price in 300-400 range rather than sky scraping in 1000 mark?

That's the beauty of a free market, that what today seems low, can tomorrow be way too expensive, and vice versa.

The price doesn't really matter that much, stability will come once we get rid of very short term investors, early adopters, etc.

But that will take many years, time will tell Smiley

Gratis = Free

Christian1998

I still don't get this. What should I do then? Should I give them away as gift? Huh

Try to auction them if you wan't to see if people are interested in it. Set a reasonable minimum bid price, and then just wait for people to bid.

Keep in mind that in the auction section you can't edit your thread and posts, so before publishing anything make use of the [Preview] button.

I understand, thanks. For that reason I'm waiting a little more to determine a reasonable minimum bid price. Something like 0.1btc each maybe  Huh

0.1BTC as start bid is pretty steep if you ask me.

You might consider a 0.04BTC / 0.05BTC start bid for dogecoin.gratis, and 0.03BTC for satoshigame.gratis.

11894  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: Next rally's ATH on: November 19, 2014, 04:35:37 PM
Lol at IDIOTS who think we will see another huge rally....

I have scientific evidence that EVERY TIME I enter an investment it is TOO LATE... out of everything I've put money in... I have lost money 100% of the time. I am deeply invested in BTC right now (~$20K) and I can guarantee you that we will not have another rally. I ALWAYS manage to catch a falling knife, or enter the game a little too late.... I never make money, this is 100% always the case. Sorry guys.

It's not the fault of Bitcoin that you jump in when it's already too late to buy.

Invest some time into knowing how this market works, that might help you in the future to make money instead of losing.

If there is a rally I guess that will be between $2000 - $3000

11897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Retailers see big upside by accepting bitcoins on: November 19, 2014, 01:30:07 PM
The most important thing is for people to be able to buy bitcoins easily without much hassle, which is not the case at this point.

Non tech people must see the benefit of bitcoin, currently they think if I can pay and buy everything right now already, why should I take extra effort to buy and use bitcoin?

11898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin deletion project. 21 million to 20 million. on: November 19, 2014, 01:17:20 PM
Why are people continue to come up with "ideas" that potentially might boost the value??

Are you so desperate to get the price up to sell the tiny amount of coins that you own for a profit?

Bitstamp is a very trustworthy exchange, so the shock will be huge.

I am not sure how much coins their hot wallets contain, but it won't be extreme. Perhaps 300 to 1000BTC ??

The bad media publicity will harm Bitcoin in general, that's the main problem.
