11881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: October 13, 2019, 07:07:42 PM
I'm curious if fiat will still exist by that time, since our technology is rapidly evolving, Bitcoin might be the main currency we are going to use and fiat would be gone for real.

Ten years is a long time, and I'm all Bitcoin loverboy, but anyone who seriously thinks fiat won't exist in 10 years is completely out of touch with reality (not to mention how you think there's no doubt Bitcoin's price will be "bloody expensive" in the same timeframe).

Reality check, my friend. Most people in the world. And I mean the majority of human population, do not have the same means and access as you and me. That is the situation TODAY and it can be in ten years, the disparity in opportunity will be even wider.

Bitcoin may gain wider adoption, more than we can imagine now, but for fiat to completely disappear, we'd need a huge change in equitable wealth and opportunity.
11882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 13, 2019, 05:38:58 PM
Back in the days i used to disregard some pennies of my bitcoins in several exchanges thinking that these coins would never be worth it looking at its price at the moment. However, this idea came into my mind about some few weeks ago that what if Bitcoin reaches a double of its previous all time or even greater once this long awaited global adoption sets in.

Seriously this made me think twice and have made me roam through all my exchange accounts and wallets making sure that i have access to them in order to cash out all those pieces of bitcoin if they ever become worth it again. This may sound quite silly but i am quite optimistic about it Grin

Love how all these accounts talk about "back in the day" fighting about pennies worth of bitcoin, and then now scrambling for pennies worth of bitcoin with some account that started way back in the day. And then their last few days of posts are all about similar "back in the day" stories, but of course with the odd postbursting periods in random altcoin thread.

If you're really all about Bitcoin, why all the time spent in XYZ token, and then asking to give BNB token attention, for example?

And after 5 years, why on earth are you still keeping anything on exchanges?
11883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: An appeal to all my fellow Cryptotalk signature campaign participants! on: October 13, 2019, 04:37:40 PM
I must be really behind the times. Heard about the new signature campaign a couple of weeks ago, but only noticed now that some threads in gambling have been getting a lot of spam, and from participants of this campaign.

The last time Yobit had this kind of campaign, it didn't last long. Surprised they launched again, not sure the last one would have brought them any good results. But I guess they know something I don't!

And good to have guys like OP remind us not everyone in the campaign's a shitposter. But if they didn't read the forum rules and follow them, not sure why they'd listen to OP. No harm trying I suppose.
11884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Casinos Have the Lowest House Edge? on: October 13, 2019, 02:28:23 PM
Crypto-games for sure IMO has a well rounded dice game. 0.8% edge is below industry standard. Add in loyalty bonuses like faucets to keep you busy on non deposit days, investment options and chat bonuses and it's a lot of incentive.

Monday is also no speed limit day so you can get a looooot of joy even on 1 sat bets and a low bankroll.

Also, at your own risk is 999dice at 0.1% edge. Play there every now and then with a bot. They have a poor autobet function so any auto strat there needs seuntjie.
11885  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins and Tier verification's on: October 13, 2019, 12:39:20 PM
Strange. I got verified all the way to Tier 2 in about the same time it took me to find out it was required, take new docs and trim them to submit. Tier 1 I got within minutes, and Tier 2 within the hour. And I was good to go as usual. In fact, I never have any problem verifying except when the platform doesn't support documents from my country. And I actually look quite different from most of my IDs, but I think face recognition probably ignored facial hair, for example.

@akamit You really don't want to get both accounts blocked. How old is your trading account?

@zhekinsp You don't need any amounts to reach any tier, you can verify any time, even a new account can.
11886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 13, 2019, 11:59:33 AM
Oh ok, i thought you placed your bet at the time of writing. And yeah, bookies must've seen something that made them put the odds to two digits, and it almost backfired since the game finished 1-1, too bad Liechtenstein don't have that winning mentality, any other team would've gone for the win, specially at home in front of the fans.

Well, Italy is officially the 2nd team to qualify to the Euro 2020 after Belgium. 7 consecutive wins, almost an average of 3 goals per game, all thanks to Mancini. Congrats, @coinlocket$  Smiley

Yeah, I was thinking the same too. You play at home, level against the odds, and then you don't take advantage of the collapsed morale and go for the win? They're thinking of playoffs maybe, or what, I can't tell.

But oh @coinlocket, you must be really happy. We all missed Italy last year, but next year we'll see them in the thick of it. Just can't take my eyes of the... green jerseys though!
11887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +18058 units on: October 13, 2019, 10:53:29 AM
Well, it wasn't such a disaster after all. When it was 0-1 at halftime, and Armenia had all that shots and all that possession, thought it would be over. Credit to the boys for getting the goal, but why didn't they just win it haha.

We do a friendly parlay and avoid Euros ok?

Game 1: South Africa vs Mali. S. Africa WIN @2.02. Betcoin odds: 1.95
Game 2: Kenya vs Mozambique. Kenya WIN @1.99.
Game 3: Argentina vs Ecuador. Argentina WIN @1.71. Betcoind odds:
100 units parlay at Sportsbet.io @6.87. Betcoin parlay: 6.64
Bet ID: 5da30035a71caa14a3c73f6a

Odds advantage: 3.46%
Units advantage: 23

Running advantage after 128 bets: +5,371.64 (+23)
All-time cumulative: +18,371.17
Running units after 127 bets (24W|103L): +5,659.05 (-100 units)
11888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 12, 2019, 07:47:49 PM
I fancy Armenia but Lichtenstein 9.7/1 today is what I'm taking. Anyone following?
Me. My acca for today was destroyed by Boznia winning 4-1 against Finland (I had Finland X2), so i'm down for a side bet (:

Btw, what's with those odds? I just took Liechtenstein ML @15/1. Even Pinnacle have a home win @12/1.

Christ I should have waited! Took it very early and that was Pinnacle btw almost 10/1 (that's the provider for Bitcoinrush which I generally use for single underdog bets.

Bookies must have really upped the odds closer to the game. Doesn't matter much i guess. I shot all game, and now they need to.score 2 while keeping a clean sheet 2nd half. So not happening haha.
11889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you are Satoshi Millionaire? on: October 12, 2019, 03:41:56 PM
I remember that time indeed! Owning 21 BTC, that legendary club, that was something I mildly considered in 2016. It wasn't entirely improbable, I thought if I worked hard, did a lot of projects and saved up as much as possible. But I made the slight daft mistake of thinking 1k would be the sky and the limit for a couple more years at least. By late 2016, I began tor realise something was stirring but it was too late by then.

2017, Even owning 10 BTC was impossible, I thought, hey 2.1 was all right.

Imagine how I felt when ATH arrived.

And then my relief (I guess haha) of when we fell back beneath 10k.

Satoshi Millionaire sounds about right, let's hope we all live to see $1M Bitcoin, and then owning 1 million satoshi makes us smile.
11890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 12, 2019, 02:40:03 PM
Hope that Germany will win tomorrow there match against Estland and make a big step forward for the Qualifying to the EM.
Lately German hasnt playd well and they got every match lost there lead they have done .
But Serge Gnabry plays very well too the last weeks and maybe he will be the one that brings Germany the victory tomorrow.

Tell you what though, nobody saw N Ireland come out with their guns all blazing -- a draw with Belarus or Estonia would at least have kept the top 2 breathing. And now, if I were the Northern Irish, I'd be pulling out all the stops to make sure I beat one of the teams.

Probably we'll still end up with German and Dutch 1-2 finish but man, it would be a glorious upset if either one of them would be forced to qualify through the playoffs.

Not really tempted taking a risk on Lichtenstein, the last encounter between both teams ended in a 2-2 draw, but I'm positive on Armenia winning comfortably today, Good luck with your bet though.

I'm going for a Parlay on Spain to win and Romania offered at 2.28, That's fine with me  Smiley

I liked both Caucasus teams actually, but I feel like Georgia especially after topping their Group in Nations League, have somehow failed to step up to the next level. They ARE still the underdogs, both teams, so I shouldn't feel so disappointed I guess. 10 mins more for Georgia to cause an upset against Ireland (I am hoping for it!).

Oh and Armenia actually won the first meet 3-0, so they should comfortably win this but Liechtenstein club form and home advantage is what I'm counting on =D

11891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 12, 2019, 01:52:03 PM
Nice 50/1 multi parlay on there, pity it was only a 5 cent bet... Do you always go for such long odds? I hardly ever go for that type of multi leg but never won. Guilty of single bets with worst odds and also never hit haha but yeah only when I need to spend a dollar or so!

Was a bit lucky to get the Czech upset and I would have gone for Georgia today but only 3/1 is so unattractive.

I fancy Armenia but Lichtenstein 9.7/1 today is what I'm taking. Anyone following?
11892  Economy / Speculation / Re: 20% price drop 7 months before the May 2020 halving? on: October 12, 2019, 12:56:49 PM
It could be a strategy.
That is one thing that we should consider. If timed right then we might ride the wave and make a lot of money with it.

They might be trying to dump bitcoin and then buy at a cheaper price and then sell again after the halving.
This strategy had been done before.
Hype will come specially for the FOMO.

Good luck with trying to time the market. It's a lesson hard learned by a lot of people. This year alone you can see that neither the bull nor the "bear" were foreseen by any of the so-called experts whale groups, super trader and super signal channels. None could ever have predicted it and so none timed it well.

Speculate as much as you want but just save yourself the pain and dollar cost average.
11893  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-11] Bitcoin Fails at Key Price Hurdle, Risks Return to $8,000 on: October 12, 2019, 10:39:15 AM
Feels a little redundant to say there's a risk of returning to 8k when it was only ever even at that sudden surge under 2% away from 8k. I'd be more interested in the risks of going to new quarterly lows. Would really like to test our resolve this close to the end of year. And put those lowest 5.5k TAs to the sword.

All the same, doesn't look like any of that to happen before Monday.
11894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin & Bubble Comparison on Charts on: October 12, 2019, 09:51:58 AM
that picture from TradingView doesn't make any sense at all. in my opinion every single point on that chart from the beginning (take off) to the end (return to mean) are wrong. for example the take off here is set at around $3k while it started before that around $1200 when the previous ATH was broken. not to mention that in another view, the real "take off" started in 2015 when price reversed from the bottom and started going from $150 to $300 and had its first 100% rise.

That's the problem with Bitcoin being such a new asset with an even younger market. In fact, I wouldn't even take any market data from before 2015 -- too few traders and exchanges therefore too few stakeholders, too little means to understand how those numbers were taken and at what volumes, too concentrated geographically even.

Zoom in and out, and we get to play with all kinds of different numbers and patterns.

But maybe that's the whole fun of it.
11895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +18058 units on: October 12, 2019, 08:04:18 AM
You know, Iceland almost did it. But we'll be happy and take 1/3 wins, thank you England and wow Henderson you played so horribly, I hope that's all out of your system now!

Tonight let's just go back to upsets.

100 units on Betcoin on Liechtenstein to WIN vs Armenia @9.72. Sportsbet: 9.20

Odds advantage: 5.65%
Units advantage: 52

Running advantage after 127 bets: +5,348.64 (+52)
All-time cumulative: +18,348.17
Running units after 126 bets (24W|102L): +5,759.05 (+339 units)
11896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 11, 2019, 02:20:25 PM
How you guys feeling tonight? I hated myself last night for making what seemed to be smart picks at HT, and what turned out to be truly idiot picks at FT.

Seems the Belgium under 6.5 was shitty too =p

People are talking about an upset in Rejkavik because a lot of French injuries but I think the Nordic boys are now coming down from their World Cup heroics, what do you think? One last upset in their blood?

I mean, they still beat Turkey (who gave me a delicious French upset), so maybe it's not so crazy after all.
11897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptomania: The Bitcoin Bop [Animation] on: October 11, 2019, 12:11:03 PM
Since posting it and sharing on my own channels I think the views crept up over 200, but sorry to say it's not getting the attention I truly believe it deserves. You redditors, go give this some love =p https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/df0q8i/adama_cryptomania_the_bitcoin_bop/

Hard to believe the crap that WILL get engagement, compared to something that obviously has a lot of love put into it. But there you go, I guess.

Say $1 million Bitcoin in your title and it's all the rage.
11898  Economy / Speculation / Re: 20K by March, A positive Look at the market. on: October 11, 2019, 11:04:59 AM
9900 must happen this month -- I agree, else we'll say hello to 6k again.
"must" lmao....

In all seriousness, the market just needs to flush out a lot of weak hands and traders with profitable positions. I am currently stacking up fiat preparing for a $5-$6k visit. I don't often get bearish, but now I rightfully am.

Realistically speaking, $5k is a bit of a stretch, but with how irrational the market is a $5k flash wick might be a great (possibly once in a lifetime) opportunity to enter the market at such lower levels.

After all, it's Bitcoin that we're talking about---pumps and dumps have happened for nearly a decade so don't expect the market to suddenly behave differently. People also thought the market changed last year and paid the price for it.

Was only quoting OP, why the lols =p but anyway, yeah, it was an expression for a speculation thread, surely people are allowed to make some predeterminations Wink

I have always wanted this flush to happen, or the purge as I have been calling it. I was in this regard rather disappointed when after the near 3k low, Bitcoin surged all the way back to past 13k. So of course weak hands git stronger and people went right back into hype mode. Ah well!

@lionheart today was some kind of half hearted push for a breakout!
11899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I get to know detailed stuff about Bitcoin without the coding languages? on: October 11, 2019, 08:01:40 AM
Welcome (in another way) to the forum then!

You probably fit right in with guys like me then! I don't know anything beyond the most basic code, and I actually would need a lot of help from the wiki if I were to operate from a command line (I actually still use a lot of manuals every time I do anything code related, other than from the most basic basic basic commands for windows command line haha).

But that hasn't stopped me from reading about Bitcoin. Hasn't prevented others like me from picking up and using new upgrades, and with reasonably great clients like Electrum, you can have quite a fair level of sophistication on how you transact with Bitcoin, beyond most average needs, so it's the little tools like that that gets you on board.

Here's my take as well: The biggest supporters of a tech may never need to know the nitty gritty underneath it all. I remember the guy who brought my town's first ISP, he knew it all... but the people that spread the word about his ISP, the teacher who asked all of us to get our own emails, build our first homepages on geocities, heck he knew nothing about how it all worked except how to sign up and get online! But thanks to him, I had a headstart. Maybe thanks to you, and the majority of forum users here, we all get a headstart on Bitcoin =)
11900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get into the $8600 Zone? on: October 11, 2019, 07:39:02 AM
Well, what do you know. I wake up, get ready to sell a bit of Bitcoin. Friday, I like to put up trade on LBC, get my weekend stuff done. And then just as I put the trades active, price shoots up. Right into and above the USD 8600 zone. Happy me.

But no one bought anything. Even though my trades are cheapest (Appears top in my area). And then price slaps down hard to current at around 8450.

Then my trades are accepted.

Life goes on, eh?
