11901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost 10 BTC in three days. Should I end my life? on: April 16, 2017, 08:20:51 PM
Martingale is for millionaires ready to burn their money in a single sitting. Good thing you have already stopped before you lose it all. I know a few degens who would use their whole payroll to gamble and ends up losing them all. Like seriously? I have nothing against them, but in reality gambling would just destroy your life in the ultimate end.
11902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have to pay 10% or 20% extra will you still be using bitcoin? on: April 16, 2017, 08:09:58 PM
Most payment processors charge their customers depending on how much the purchase is. Higher purchase = higher fees whereas in bitcoins, it's not entitely the case. For example A, if it is cheaper to use visa than bitcoin, then I'd go for visa. That simple. I wouldn't frustrate myself so hard on a simple solution which is accessible to me.

As for micropayments, it really is bothering since bitcoin is losing its edge due to tx fees (which is an insane $1-$2 to get your tx on the soonest block possible). Larger blocks 'might' be a temporary fix for the said issue, I suppose.
11903  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: April 16, 2017, 07:21:57 PM
Money is needed by all without exception. If you happen a situation when you urgently need a large sum of money, then either you don't know how to count your budget and will always experience such problems, or you want to buy something that does not deserve it. Is my opinion.

Budgeting is a simple yet clever way to combat any unexpected need for money like accidents (knock on wood) and the likes. If you have that little something that you keep off the shelf then you will not have to worry about borrowing money or hacking some of your items for cash.
11904  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin User Poll #1 - Age - how young are you? on: April 16, 2017, 07:17:30 PM
20 years old and already aware of how money works hehe. I started bitcoin 4 years ago and didn't bother much only to rekindle my interest in 2014. Wish I bought bitcoins as many as I can back in the days and I shouldn't be living with my parents anymore. Oh well, with the help of bitcoin I will get my nice place too!
11905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: April 16, 2017, 07:01:14 PM
Chances are very good you will loose Even more if you go in for trading...
Rather than that.... Keeping 40 btc Is still trading because btc price will eventually go higher

Or you can invest for longterm  in major promising Altcoin like Ethereum Dash XMR or Litecoin... etc

Well the cryptos that you've mentioned are also following the trading patterns of bitcoin for the most part, and apparently bitcoin is also doing good amidst the drama that is currently on going as to where are we going from here. I suggest that you just keep it as it is since the growth wouldn't stop here; there's a lot of money to be made in bitcoin. But to don't miss out on the opportunities, you can always try to diversify your assets.
11906  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity? on: April 16, 2017, 06:14:05 PM
Afaik KYC and AML regulations only apply when a given cryptocurtency is traded for USD. In that case, people should really need to submit verification of identity in order for the trades to take place. However if it is for crypto pairs then there's no need to submit IDs and such. Also, anonymity is very subjective and broad. Yes, exchanges keep records of your trades but once you get your funds out of them, that is wherr your coin's anonymity features come to play.
11907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't bitcoin Money? Aren't there only 2 ways to earn bitcoin? on: April 16, 2017, 05:49:56 PM
Yes. Bitcoin is money, though not your conventional fiat since it is decentralized and no entity rules or controls it. Aside from that, this money can be bought by money (or trade, you get the point) from specialized exchanges that handles the transactions. There are only two ways, yes. It's either you work for it or trade it.

I have one more concern too:

Can bitcoin really protect our wealth?  Will there be one day that bitcoin is as trusted (or even more) as gold?

i don't know. Can it? But as far as you can see bitcoin is performing quite well and delivering positive results. Aside from that, people have built infrastructures and wealth in it and they wouldn't allow bitcoin to fall down that easy.
11908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all nations of the world started to use bitcoin on: April 16, 2017, 05:27:33 PM
We would have scaling problems if it would happen overnight. Also, we would be having problems to divide bitcoins into smaller units and we might even need to look into sub-units for bitcoin. Take also into consideration the lost coins that we wouldn't be able to recover since their private keys are gone. It would be a catastrophe to say the least and wouldn't be feasible for long.
11909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin operated arcade machines on: April 16, 2017, 05:08:17 PM
A nice idea but could really be worse considering the fact that it would take a good 10 or so minutes just for confirmation times and by then, I think the user would be frustrated before he/she can play a single game. Also if the arcade would consider 0 conf that would be an easy target for those who want to have the lulz without spending anything.
11910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: April 16, 2017, 03:39:30 PM
The only ways I know is via signature campaigns and doing some work in exchange of bitcoins. The rest of what you see to earn bitcoins without having a capital is a grey area and should not be considered as part of earning bitcoins. You can always try to get a job and then just buy bitcoins after which is a more plausible and easiest, effective way to have some bitcoins in your pocket.

That would be converting Fiat to bitcoin, and I think that is not a hustle free for some, and I think is is always OK to make earn bitcoin directly is possible right? and I am also doing signature campaign that is easily paying us direct bitcoin in our wallets, well why not do jobs in the forum and accept bitcoin as payments, you can always apply as an encoder, web designer, programmer, or make an animation for them and just accept bitcoin as payments

Yes, it may not be the most convenient way to get some bitcoins in your wallet but it has a higher chance of success rate compared to earning bitcoins using nothing. If you are skilled enough to sell your services then go, many people are willing to pay in bitcoin provided that you deliver excellent results in the field that they need.
11911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: April 16, 2017, 01:54:13 PM
But if Bitcoin traded at the same range and same volume every day be happen,
I think we are will be difficult to get profit or just for small profit will we are get it,
because the price is stagnant or stable at same range and same volume.

That is where shorting comes to play, and these small variations in price, even though it's within a range of $1-$5, you can still make money out of it if you are fast enough to take advantage of those micro swings. However if you deem that the price wouldn't move for a long time, it is best to just hold the coins in your wallet for as long as you can because you will still see positive results in the end.
11912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver has been compromised on: April 16, 2017, 01:17:34 PM
This is the first time that I have read this statement from Roger, and it seems absurd that there are nodes that are "true" and nodes that aren't. So meaning to say, mining nodes are the nodes that should remain in the network whereas nodes that are there to help relay info are just plain pieces of trash? Wow.
11913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: April 16, 2017, 12:20:24 PM
There are some that could be a pretty interesting alternative out there, but if you are telling us that would there be even the slightest chance to replace bitcoin as a whole? That would be too far-fetched since many people have already been used to what bitcoin offers and many millions of dollars are already built upon it.
11914  Economy / Exchanges / Re: No ID exchange ? (Crypto to Crypto trades only) on: April 16, 2017, 11:30:53 AM
Poloniex?

Afaik these exchanges doesn't really need any verification as long as you are only trading crypto pairs, but if it involves fiat that is the time when it would be asking for some personal information for the compliance of KYC and AML regulations.
11915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: April 16, 2017, 09:53:50 AM
Sometimes I use the coins for fun, say gambling, and most of the time I withdraw happily since I win most of the matches I bet on. Right now, I'm currently betting on the playoffs and it seems to be doing good so far, considering that I have won 3/4 of the matches I have for today. Because of those wins, I am also getting to save some bitcoins for the future.

11917  Economy / Economics / Re: Tips on how to get into the Bitcoin business? on: April 15, 2017, 09:52:42 PM
Holding Bitcoin is the most important part of being in Bitcoin.  If you have it, and you actually own it instead of storing it in an online wallet, you can expect your earnings to go up dramatically in a few years as Bitcoin's long term price continues to increase.

No other advice you get will be definitive, except to stay out of investments unless you have seriously legitimate reasons for believing that they are trustworthy.  Genesis Mining is very shady, even though they're not a straight-up scam.

Mining is not shady if you oen your equipment for mining, that is. However, things will start going down the drain if you invest on a cloud mining site. Also, why risk it on a site that only pays you a fraction of what you invested compared to just buying it and let it collect dollars over time?
11918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites earnings? on: April 15, 2017, 04:45:47 PM
I am also quite curious as to how they managed to keep on rolling even though therr are massive price swings in USD-BTC plus the fact that some high rollers always win in a single day. On sports betting sites most of the time i see some crazy 49 btc slips and yet they still stay afloat.
11919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stop someone forcing you to hand over your private key? on: April 15, 2017, 01:46:26 PM
Have a 'decoy' wallet that you hand over when forced. This will only work when the attacker does not know the Bitcoin addresses in your main wallet.

The situation happening to me would be a bit far-fetched, since it would a hard task to locate a single person's wallet based on only his tracks and taints in the blockchain. But for example I would forced to give my wallet at gun point, I would probably give a wallet that contains only a few coins in it, coins that I would be willing to spare in any case.
11920  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: April 15, 2017, 12:32:22 PM
yes bitcoin is good investment because now bitcoin is high price ..
and if investment now in future we will get more profit Smiley
The spiraling price is proof that bitcoin be an excellent investment for now. especially if you keep it in a long time, perhaps in 1 BTC, you can for about $ 300 when the price becomes $ 1,500 at the end of the year. Well, imagine if you have 10 BTC, or 100 BTC , or even more. of course it would be an excellent investment in the future.

Aside from that, bitcoin despite of some issues in terms of scaling and development, still managed to maintain the range of where it was prior to all of the drama and tension in the development of the coin. It shows some kind of stability at those prices even though at first most traders assumed and deemed that it cannot hold that long.
