11941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mastering blockchain - the free eBook on: August 19, 2018, 10:43:14 PM
Thanks Jet Cash for the tip. I have now downloaded the free copy. Glad I did, because judging from the table of contents, it's a real treat.

But I have to say I nearly missed it.  Because, when I first checked your post, I was under the impression that the giveaway was about "Mastering Bitcoin", not "Mastering Blockchain". They surely have similar titles.

I thought this was about Mastering Bitcoin!

I am going to download it now. Thanks for recommendation Jet cash.

I got it in the last 15 minutes. Smiley
11942  Other / Meta / Re: Meta board flooded by account recovery thread ( ban/locked and hacked account) on: August 19, 2018, 05:34:28 PM
I don't get why can't the forum hire like one or two people to recover those locked accounts with signed messages.

One or two people would be able to recover dozens of accounts per day and this problem could be easily solved very quickly.

There are many trusted members here on the forum that would do that for a small fee in btc.
11943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain without Bitcoin, is it going to happen? on: August 19, 2018, 04:22:00 PM
The volatility in Bitcoin is an avenue for traders to earn money, this arrangement puts Bitcoin ahead of the Blockchain tech. thereby delaying global Blockchain adoption.  Blockchain without Bitcoin, is it going to happen?

For now it's highly unlikely that blockchain adoption will happen without bitcoin.
Everything depends on bitcoin performance for now.

I see many people crying about altcoins and bitcoin price being attached, and saying that the reason for this is that bitcoin has more fiat pairs.

But I don't believe in this theory.

I think altcoins and bitcoin's price is attached, highly correlatated, because bitcoin is the most important cryptocurrency, and if it fails, the others will fail too.

Bitcoin also has the best developer team, best infrastructure, first mover...

So blockchain technology adoption, for now, depends on bitcoin success, in my opinion.
11944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What sites do you use to make your investment decisions? on: August 19, 2018, 03:52:08 PM
What site do you use to get the best information to make your investment decisions into ICOs?

I think it's good to read what icobench and similar websites have to say.

It's also good to read the Whitepapper and the take a look at the team, specially advisors, if there is someone famous in cryptocurrency community.

But the most important is to get knowledge about the blockchain technology so you know how to judge if that project is relevant or not.

Personally I am not investing in ico anymore, specially in this bear market... Maybe in the future if I see some amazing team..
11945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super-bubble exploded, lets grow now on: August 19, 2018, 07:03:45 AM
No I don't think it has exploded just as yet. When the super-bubble really explodes, only a tiny fraction of altcoins is going to survive. It will be a real bloodshed.

Can we say that the dirt has been cleaned and we can now invest at the right price?
Maybe the dirt has settled for now. I have no idea. Maybe it's safe to invest, maybe it's not. It's anybody's guess. But this is nowhere near the kind of bubble burst I anticipate we are going to witness in the future.

I agree. A real Bubble explosion will come.

We have so many useless altcoins. Many "better and faster" bitcoins also...
I hope we can have more time before that. I expect to see an altcoin pump before.

However, ethereum, as op mentioned, is in a very interesting price now. Its also more probable that it will survive a bubble explosion
11946  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any open source exchanges where ICO tokens could be listed for free? on: August 18, 2018, 08:37:59 PM
There are a few decentralized exchanges, where users just trade without any requirement to list tokens. Usually erc20 are all traded there.

Idex, radar relay, many others

https://coinsutra.com/best-decentralized-exchanges-dex/

Ddex is not one of these exchanges. Listing might be free there, but I am involved in a project that has gotten delisted becouse of low volume. The exchange contacted the team, and made an offer to keep it listed and to make some artificial volume. They wanted to charge around 30 ETH/month for this, obviously the team refused to pay so they are no longer listed there.

THe listing is free, but you can't force people to negotiate lol
What a scam project...

Pay to make an artificial volume? That's absurd.
Not the price, buy the idea to make an artificial volume..

If this project is trying to do that, imagine what else they do in the sidelines...
11947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacker can hacked your crypto wallet by getting help from Telecoms Operator on: August 18, 2018, 07:39:13 PM
It's only possible to do this if you are using some week 2fa service.

Google authenticatior is not hackable that way.

If you are using authy and you haven't check "allow new devices" you are fine.

Anyway that's a nice warning, and everyone who keeps high amounts on exchanges should be aware about that.
11948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Smart contract? on: August 18, 2018, 07:35:33 PM
Does anyone in this forum can guide me how to create a smartcontract?

The best way is to learn the program language Solidity

There are many courses online available in the internet
Just google for it Smiley

There are some nice ones in udemy
11949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple be the game changer again? on: August 18, 2018, 07:11:25 PM
Nobody knows what will happen to coinmarketcap in the future.

However I believe ripple has a place in the future of this technology. Ripple is centralized, buy that can be a  Desired characteristic for bank usage.

Ripple could make the banking system better and faster.

I think that both ethereum and ripple will be here for some time.
11950  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Send btc from multiple addresses in one transaction. on: August 18, 2018, 05:37:46 PM
Problem:[/b] How Can I send btc from multiple addresses in one transaction.
Say e.g. there are three address each of them has 2 BTC at any time. Now I want to send 3 btc to address x by consuming two address. How can I decide that from first address deduct 1 btc and from second address deduct 2btc or vice versa in single transaction.

Note: Currently using BlockCypher Api. Any other api could also be suggested or mechanism.

As ranochigo said you need to choose the utxo you want to spend.

You need a good Wallet. It's very easy to do that on Electrum
You just need to select "coins" window and choose the specific utxo and addresses you want to spend
Never did that with another wallet, as most of them do not let you choose the utxo to spend
11951  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious signature campaign !!! on: August 17, 2018, 06:46:54 PM
With all that money he could hire the. Best posters in the forum

They would be creating very good threads in icoforum . This could even make that forum a good one.

Snow he is hiring spammers and probably will not pay anyone. If he pays, he is wasting money because people will just spam "good project" there lol

What a waste.
11952  Economy / Economics / Re: US bosses now earn 312 times the average worker's wage, figures show on: August 17, 2018, 01:19:46 PM

Does anyone find it strange how news stories covering negative aspects of the united states economy are published primarily by european news media. While news stories covering negative aspects of the european economy are published primarily by US media? In the final analysis americans may only hear negative things about europe and foreign nations economies. And foreign nations may only hear negative things about the US economy. Everyone could end up only reading negative things about other people.

Not long ago, european union courts fined google $5 billion dollars on anti-trust grounds. Then american courts fined bayer owned monsanto nearly $300 million. Monsanto is now owned by bayer which is based out of germany. I wonder if there could be subtle signaling occurring here between european and american news media and legal systems.

Maybe its not out in the open like the US versus chinese trade war. But there could be some rivalry present?

Trump is a threat to this EU model.
He is a nationalist, and his country economy is performing greatly.

If other EU nations become nationalist, the EU will fall and there will be many sovereign countries again
11953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any open source exchanges where ICO tokens could be listed for free? on: August 17, 2018, 01:13:55 PM
Hello, there was an ICO a few months ago but it could not raise the enough funds so we can list the coin on popular exchanges. As the project was serious so we are thinking to start from open source exchanges like etherdelta & then list the token on bigger exchanges. I want to know that how many exchanges are there those are open source?

11954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the fastest transaction speed you've seen? on: August 17, 2018, 12:51:50 PM
I couldn't find any information regarding DAG being Centralized it all says it's Decentralized so kinda came back here to ask where such information exists

Iota the biggest and most important DAG out there.

in iota the transactions are validated with POW and an special node calle Coordinator, which is like a Proof of Authority.
pOw + coordinator forms their  validation and security system which is called Tangle.

The Coordinator is a special node run by the Iota Foundation. It's main purpose is to protect the network from attacks, until the network is big enough to sustain a large scale GPU attack.
The Coordinator makes special transactions called Milestones, which are signed by the Coordinator and are "trusted and legit".

The problem is that now the IOTA network is no more decentralized than Ripple Unique Nodes. What if the Coordinator is compromised?

In future the Coordinator is to become optional or even useless, but as for now IOTA system looks like a centralized service. It's important that investors and users knows about this, even if this is information is polemic and controversy.

11955  Economy / Economics / Re: how does devaluation of national currencies affect the crypto ecosystem? on: August 17, 2018, 03:10:32 AM
Bitcoin is indeed a good alternative.

However as it is too volatile, people from those countries should keep Small amounts of btc and higher amounts of dollars, as hedge to protect themselves.

11958  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S and Ledger Live questions on: August 16, 2018, 07:51:33 PM
I've recently bought a Ledger Nano s. After some struggles at the beginning, I set up the software and hardware successfully and both work fine. However some other questions have been arisen and I hope you can help me

1) Why isn't it possible to install more than 3 apps on Ledger Nano S? How can I manage more coins?

2) Why can I install Stellar on Nano S but can not add Stellar account on Ledger Live although it is listed?

3) When it is planned to support ERC20 tokens on Ledger Live?

1- because there is a limit on it's memory. However you can delete an app after using that coin and install it again when you need

2- never used those coins

3- you can use ledger nano with mew (myetherwallet), works like a charm.
You cannot use it with ledger live and it will take some time probably.
11959  Other / Ivory Tower / I would like to hear your opinion about Ethereum Classic on: August 16, 2018, 07:30:51 PM
Hello guys,

I have been following ethereum classic for some time but I have never bought any of it.

Its trend is a bit different from the other alts, today it's like 20% up.

It's now 14 usd

Technically ETC is the same as ethereum, however they have less developers working on it.
Also, they so not have anything close to ethereum Enterprise alliance.  https://entethalliance.org/members-2/

Ethereum alliance is formed by the biggest companies in the world, such as bp, Microsoft, shell...

On the other hand, code is law in etc. It's a tamper proof blockchain, immutable, different from vitalik's blockchain.

Also, vitalik is having delusional ideas about bch, which I consider a bad sign:
https://cryptovest.com/news/vitalik-buterin-envisions-usage-of-bitcoin-cash-bch-at-convenience-store/

I am considering moving a small amount of my eth holding to etc...

What do you guys think about it?
I know you guys are mostly 100%bitcoin(which is probably the Best portfolio lol)
11960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the fastest transaction speed you've seen? on: August 16, 2018, 06:42:43 PM
In addition to the centralization issue, I don't see that they really have the need for such a speed. Why preparing for high throughput and peak performance if we don't have many users using our blockchain. To paraphrase Andreas Antonopoulos, let us first have a scaling problem, and we will find a solution to it.

IOTA really need free and fast transactions for IoT solutions. IoT would require millions transactions per second..
However I think that now everyone is trying to put everything in the blockchain.
