I picked a good year to come back to the wo.

Yes... exactamente!!!!  Welcome back ur lil selfie.   Kiss Kiss   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

We (the royal we of course) can attempt to whip you back into shape to try to cause you to realize (and accept - stubborn as you can be) that BTC price dynamics are inspired by MOAR than just BTC mining incentives.

I know this. But I will always show the mining angle first and foremost.

As that is my veiwpoint.

If you go back and look at my early posts this year.
Much was done and said about
big money coming from billionaires.

The top ten people in the world 🌎 could sink money into BTC and jack its price a lot.

I felt they would do this and while it may not be the top ten people doing it as I type it certainly is the top 1000 people sinking money into BTC.

It is why I picked this year to post much much more into wo thread 🧵.

So far so good.

I want to apology for my harsh words. We don't live in a CCP regime.

This covid crisis effects my mental health also it's hard sometimes staying rational.

Well I can understand you being stressed.
Any protesters against masks and shutdowns have a right to an opinion about a disease.

But Me my wife and seven of her relatives have had it.
I still have lingering effects from it. I need more medical treatment for the damage it did.
My wife still has lingering effects from it. She was hospitalized 2 times the pre insurance bills were higher than 111,111 usd for 2020 , thankfully we are well insured and have paid 3500 usd out of pocket vs 111,111+

One of my wife’s cousins was on a vent for 28 days. 3 others went to the hospital. All of us survived it.

we all live in NJ,NY,CT area which was hit first back in early 2020.

I don’t rant and rave, but some people still think it is fake. It is hard to realize that is true. Especially for me since I have seen what it does.

Back to BTC. sideways sidewinder still working some magic here.

23.5 + or - 1k. means another breakout if it continues past Christmas 🎄 I smell a brush past 30k in the dec 26-31 time slot.

I don’t have a lot of coins so I really need $100k+ for it to matter in a life changing way..

I’m pretty comfy being poor though.. Have been poor all my life..
I am very self sufficient so I can do, enjoy, and have a lot while spending very little..
I don’t need as much $$ because I don’t need to hire everyone else to do things for me.. I can do most everything on my own..

My dream is to have a long vacation in a sailboat around the world..
I don’t need a massive expensive boat and can do all the maintenance work myself.. So like $50k for a boat buy/maintenance budget and basically money for food/expenses to last atleast a few years..
If god is kind he will smite me down in a hurricane before I run out of food money so I never have to go back to the rat race..

Nah if god is kind you will find a sinking boat rescue a BTC billionaire that gives you two old unopened 50 coin blocks.
100 btc at 23 k is 2.3 million

100 btc at 100k is 10 million since you will be crusing when coin is 100k + it will be over 10 million in value.

There is an old beer commerical with the theme it does not get better than this.

To make the gift of 100btc to you better BTC doubles by the time you get back on shore.

Making the 10 mil in coin worth 20 mil.

Trump has once again contradicted intelligence experts to arrive at his own conclusions regarding the recent hack by Russia, saying he not only believes China was responsible for the hack, but that it was somehow tied to the imaginary voting fraud issue he uses to undermine the credibility of his own office.

https://news.yahoo.com/after-days-of-silence-trump-says-russian-cyberattack-may-have-been-china-174556724.html

How do you read something like this tweet and not walk away thinking "that man is probably the biggest piece of shit president of all-time" ?

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1340333619299147781

If by now you don't understand that he's just been making this voter fraud "issue" up since 2016, you're either full of shit or very stupid, or both. There's no middle ground here anymore.

Some always trumpers are very smart and looking for trump to stay in power so they can rip off the loyal trumpers that simply follow trumps word.

if you believe the bell curve for iq.

48% of the  population has below a average iq.

so if 43% vote for trump and 10% of the smart people above average vote for trump he wins.

why would smart people want trump they think they can rob the dummies that vote for trump.

no more complicated then this.

The two demos Trump wins by the most in:

- White males with a high school education or less
- People that make over 250k/year

yep wise guys ripping off morons.
11985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any news about nvidia 3060ti hash rates? on: December 20, 2020, 01:14:46 PM
pricing and availability are the key at this moment. Very hard to find anything at a decent price.

I did get a PowerColor 5700xt for 389. which is a bargain it is now listed for 590

Did you try Conflux Network mining or other algos ?
I believe we can get more than ethash with 3060ti.

I played with octopus a bit on nicehash

11988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can only get 4/6 cards to mine on my rig on: December 20, 2020, 03:41:05 AM
you could  run four cards on it.

buy mobo put the two cards on it and get some more cards.

problem solved.
11989  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pangolin Hosting on: December 20, 2020, 03:32:49 AM
Well it was pretty good while it lasted, but I was just informed they've "suspended" their hosting and want to send my miners to me. Great, just in time for the high BTC prices...

Any others had this happen? Any advice on having them shipped back? I have 2x M21S.

pangolin used dhl with my units. I purchased 10 m10 1 m20s 1 m21s

so if you are usa based maybe use dhl.

wont be really cheap. they are used so listing them as used to be refurbished 399 each

total value 798 should be okay.

it you have more then two you may pay some trump tax on them.
11990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling USDT via Atomic Wallet good rate on: December 19, 2020, 10:36:48 PM
I want you all to remember that USDT team can tag and track any address or even freeze the address if they want, you are been watched, buying such tokens can land you into big trouble, nothing comes for free in this world, think twice before dealing with this OP, it's somehow suspicious

and how can they do that? how can someone freeze your address?

it was done with eth back in the day.
11991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: December 19, 2020, 09:37:23 PM
So I login in to my old Nicehash address to get my remainder of my payout from the hack. And unfortunately can’t withdraw because min withdraw is like 0.01BTC and I only got like $20 left since I withdrew 80% earlier in the year in case they went insolvent again.

Then I notice they have an exchange now. So I figure, ok will convert to ETH and withdraw that. And again I didn’t meet the min withdraw it was like $30 or so. Even BCH or EOS had like a $30 min withdraw. Then I noticed USDC was only $10 min withdraw. So I figured might try that. So again I converted ETH to USDC and tried to withdraw and a huge fee of $5 popped up. Since I wasn’t ever going to use nicehash again i figured might as well get my $10 at least. So made the withdraw, said successful hours ago and even sent me an email it was processed but still didn’t arrive in my wallet.

Oh well. I see nicehash going KYC soon since they got an exchange running now. Seems very similar to the old shapeshift now.

did the address link to an account?

i was mining with a blind btc account. and not with an email account.

so they sent me the coin.

you can still use simple miner and mine to an address .

now maybe they change that. if they do then they are not worth much. to me.

JJG:  thank you for the invitation to have another go at calling the top.  However having gotten it wrong once (and very happy to be wrong), I do try to avoid making the same error twice in a row.

Bitserve:  apologies my comment was not directed at you.

28-30k then we correct.

but cross that out as it is based on dec 31 or earlier.

If we go sideways for 20-30 days 22-24k. we will break out bigly near my jan 27 birthday 🍰 and basically 2021 will be pure platinum. Cresting up and beyond 45 k by second quarter end.

i would guess first case over second case.

I picked a good year to come back to the wo.

Saw them at a pawn shop, didn’t think-just bought them.. They have bitmain psus with them..
I called their bluff of testing them and got a free 3 month warranty on them..
They look clean and shiny.. Fans aren’t even dusty..

Don’t know what to do with them.. I don’t even have a desktop computer..

Maybe I could get someone like phillipma to host them?
Or just sell them to someone here?

Are they worth anything?
I took a risk.. I don’t even know if they are profitable..
I don’t really want to say what I paid for them.. Yet..

I dont even know what coin they mine.

go to alt coin section ask there.
11996  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 257 blocks solved! on: December 19, 2020, 01:44:17 PM
I was thinking somewhere someplace

I have about 0.030 btc  which we collected for this pool to help with the server.

now that coins are 23k should I send it to pay for the server?

I will be back at my trezors to look it up. In about 4 hours.

Maybe I should send 1/2 and hold the rest  for six or seven more months.

If coins double again and we send 1/2 we could pay for the server 2 more times and still have some coin left.

It is about 0.0340 coin

11998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: A question about transactions on: December 19, 2020, 05:41:03 AM
Firstly, most "Transaction Accelerators" are simply scams... especially the random website ones that say things like "we work with a number of mining pools" etc... and especially if they ask for a small fee to "accelerate" your transaction.

Most of the time, they don't actually do anything except take your money and then claim that it could take 24 hours for your transaction to be confirmed (which is usually quite likely for any transaction)... other times they'll just use the "free" services available that do actually work.

As for why free accelerators (like the ViaBTC one) actually work without a fee... well, essentially that is just a mining pool giving priority to your transaction, regardless of the fee that you've paid. Mining Pool operators are free to include any transactions they choose. The ones that offer accelerators simply override their automatic transaction selection algorithms and say "include all these 'accelerated' transactions first, then fill the block with high fee paying transactions as per normal". ViaBTC originally did it as a bit of good PR... they earned a name for themselves by trying to help people out.

Which accelerator did you use? and aside from the fact that your transaction finally got confirmed, what proof do you have that the accelerator actually did anything at all? Huh

As far as I'm aware, the only free one that actually works with any level of consistency is ViaBTC, but that's hard to get one of the 100 free slots...

yeah it can be hard. real hard to get a slot.

there are people like me that are on tight margins and have to send transactions at certain times even if fees are high.

I try overnight and do nothing. Set the alarm at 4:45 am and if they did not clear I then work the accelerator.
11999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: A question about transactions on: December 19, 2020, 05:20:29 AM
Well, after creating this thread and receiving the answers I locked it. I think it was a mistake, because before that I locked threads in other sections so that they did not become spam megathreads but thinking about it, that will not happen in this section, which is a serious one.

The thing is that yesterday, after waiting, seeing that the mempool was still full, and fearing that I would be refunded the amount of the transaction, I decided to use a transaction accelerator. I know that they have free and pay versions. I used the free version and next time I looked, after 2 or 3 hours, the transaction had been confirmed.

This raises a question for me. Why do the transaction accelerators work in the free version? I understand that if you pay more to speed up a transaction then it will be prioritized and confirmed, but I don't quite understand why simply putting my transaction ID and clicking without paying anything speeds up the transaction.

Can someone explain this to me?

viabtc has a free one. they allow a few each and every hour. it is simply a courtesy to the network.

they white list a portion of space for them in the next block they hit.

they also will do a charged one which gets higher priority then the free ones.

the network does around 360k transactions a day divide by 144 it comes to 2200 per block

viabtc makes 6-10 blocks a day.  so that is 13200 to 22000 transactions a day.

if they let 50 x 24 = 1200 free a day. they look good. it will make some sales for paid.

if you are desperate you would pay 💰 to clear you tx id.

I am glad it cleared. btw I cleared four this week.
I paid about 25sats and then worked the free accelerator for hours on weds thurs and today.

I did todays in one try. but weds and thurs took five or six trys.

i have only paid for one tx id to clear around 30 usd to clear 2400 usd.

all other times i just kept trying the free one.

since i mine and have partners i do lots of moves.

so on sunday i will be moving .14 or maybe .16 coins spilt to four people

i will pay 25 sats for each transaction and then wait overnight. if they do not clear i will work the accelerator.

Hmm Bitstamp is saying it has "finished" my transaction (send from Bitstamp to my address) but the transaction is not appearing on the blockchain.  This is after I validated the transaction with Bitstamp by email so it is not waiting on confirmation from me.  It is not even showing as unconfirmed.

Any suggestions as to what might be happening?    Does Bitstamp take awhile after they say a transaction is "finished"?  It has been about an hour and there have been 5 - 6 blocks since.

did they give you a tx id?
