I still believe in populous and the dev team. I think some fud is coming from people who maid bad trading decisions or only want to bring the price down to buy some tokens very cheap.
PPT is already at dip, I don't think it will ever dump more, if you want to buy make this as a buying opportunity. It has been stay over $10 for many days already and that means the support is strong at this level, buy now it would give you good return once bull run starts. its making lower lows and lower highs for months now. there no reason to think this is the bottom. thats whisfull thinking |

It is a shame that the price of PPT keeps falling even though the market is showing some small signs of recovery. Is there any specific reason for the continuous drop in price or are just the old whales cashing out whatever profit they have made and moving on? I know many projects take time to generate real business, but I am feeling a little despondent that the main holders are just squeezing out the juice of the lemon and selling off large holdings or are doing their utmost to just keep the price low and suppressed right now. I am still holding but I hope it does not go any lower.
I think it's still a residual effect from the recent FUD. I don't see a serious recovery happening until invoices really start trading. what FUD, is there new FUD again? |

Afternoon all, I'm a VERI holder and wanted to share a few thoughts on here to see how other people perceive the project. I'm starting to get a red flags that give me concern, I'll try to explain:
Beta testing was open to private testers, large VERI holders and was abruptly suspended and restricted to just employees or contractors of Veritaseum. This was after SEC review. Legal review has been ongoing since February and has no definite plan or communicated strategy to get approval from regulators in the US. It seems that the product was developed as 'software' which may have been naive as working lockstep with the regulators from an earlier phase might have helped deliver a compliant product that could go live in the US. With this inability to go live in NY the focus now seems to have shifted to locations outside of the US, such as Jamaica and somewhere in Africa. Should that be a cause for concern? Isn't go live in a developed nation with strong regulations a good target? We were promised public beta testing in Q1, which didn't happen and there's no indication on when it might. Something is clearly very wrong, we just don't have information on how wrong.
The Jamaican Stock Exchange signed an MOU in October but 6 months on there is no contract and no information on a potential go live. By way of explanation Reggie blamed politics, it would have been good to get more information on what the issues were so its transparent what kinds of issues Veritaseum is facing to get deployed. Especially as there's no public beta testing in Q1 as was promised and no JSE go live; are they impacted by the same issues? Different issues? Are they technical or legal and regulatory? Or are they business related? What does that mean for the product strategy and roll out? Remember your tokens are only of value if you can use them and right now we have no insight into when they can be used. This glaring fact seems to have been glossed over.
The news of two MOUs in Africa is not really news because it is not a contract. Also, its very vague to say 'somewhere' in Africa, no specifics at all. Add to that it would be a licensing deal which means a separate instance of the Veritaseum platform will be delivered to the customer to use on their own servers, this could be a closed environment meaning your tokens are worthless unless you're part of the user base of that particular licensed Veritaseum platform. Its great for Reggie as he sells software and tokens and consultancy and research to the customer, it doesn't have a lot of value to token holders if it happens to be a closed environment. We don't know if it is closed or not, heck we don't even know the country.
I'd also add that it could be seen as a risk to focus your business outside your country or region or timezone in a different continent such as Africa where there is no Veritaseum office or local presence. Add to that there was mention of a 'smart city' application of the platform in Africa, this is also a little off the originally stated goal to disintermediate the financial markets. Maybe there is a strategy, its just that it hasn't been articulated to faithful token holders; the ideas seem to be many and scattered, we even had a medical application that was due to deliver in December but nothing more was said about that (it was mentioned in a video around October or so).
Perhaps some of this could be solved with a more explicit strategy overview or roadmap or business plan that can be tracked or reviewed and adapted periodically. Right now I don't think there is insight into what the heck is going on and whether there will even be a live product this quarter or this year.
Interested in everyone else's thoughts.

Just buy the Token, when you need and use them.
99% of the market has no working product yet. What i do is spread out my investments and use a little bit of TA to plot out when is a good time to stock up, as well as dollar cost averaging (which is a great investing technique). If you've done your research and you believe in the project then there's no reason to not invest a little in it while the project is still in early development stages. By the time they have a working product, it will already be too late to get a decent share of the market at a good price. its never good to buy in a downtrend. low can get lower. better wait till it stops dropping and then buy. The BTC price has stopped going lower, been consolidating for the past few weeks, check out the daily chart on Binance short term doesnt mean much, there are many occasions the price is stable for a couple of days. i mean months of stable prices like in 2013 and 2015. You think a couple months is long-term? And a couple day's is short term? lol What is a couple years to you? Because to me, long term is at least 5 to 10 years or more. Regardless, however, the daily chart on binance is great for perspective because you can get an easier idea of where we've come from, it goes back to when it was listed on the (1st of December) and you can clearly see the last 30 to 40 days have been flattening out in an equilibrium pattern. You're one of those people who is just pretending to be stupid, aren't you? And here I was thinking the FUDDERS are all gone now then you dont know much about reading charts. if it was an equillibrium pattern the swings were not that extreme. |

I think someone in this thread already mentioned how stupid you are for referencing the dollar value. No one should care about the dollar value. It's the BTC price that will ultimately drive the actual dollar value. So its the BTC price that matters. The whales care about the BTC price. Not the dollar price. because BTC is the onramp from dollars to crypto. The whales couldn't give a shit about the dollar price because they are using BTC to buy PPT and other solid cryptos. The only (dollar) price that matters to everyone is the BTC/USD price. Because basically, the entire market follows what BTC does. The PPT/USD price doesn't really matter because you cant trade PPT to USD so if btc falls 99% against the dollar and ppt falls 95% against the dollar u say thats a good thing because ppt rose in btc terms? |

I have been on the ppt slack since june/july which I thought was great at first. As time went on I noticed the biggest Fudster was Nico himself stringing people along with his hot air.  I should have listened to my intuition and sold all my tokens at the high of £53 per token. Instead, I gave Nico the benefit of the doubt after his terrible Alpha website thinking the Beta release would be as great as he claimed and the token value would increase further. How wrong I was to put trust in him. I sold all my PPT like many others, despite holding for 6 months. I did not do too bad as I averaged £22 per token at sale and had only purchased for £3 each. Many people on the slack seem to have their head stuck up their ass. I suspect they are paid to promote. I notice many of them are on this forum also trying to promote PPT from what they call Fudsters. But they are people with genuine concerns. My simpathy to qiwoman2 whom kept asking "should I sell" (she bought in high) and was constantly talked into holding Long by slack members despite her concerns, when she could have sold and bought back much more now if she so wished. I may decide to buy back much less PPT if they hit a low of a few dollars, but I would be extremely scepticle of the investment. Agree. went to the same cycle. bought at about $3 and sold at about $35. populous slack is a cult, everyone who raises questions is a FUDster. impossible to make objective decisions on slack posts. im waiting till populous has a good working product and then maybe im buying back. it doesnt make sense to buy these coins when they are in a downtrend. |

I remember populous being called "dead" in September 2017. If you are a real investor, you're enjoying the beta test and don't care about price. The love of the ctfc and all these judges entering into blockchain isn't mutual. The whole space has crashed.
