121  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Adult Porn Sites Accepting Bitcoin on: August 11, 2016, 10:05:32 PM
Here's a new one ...a faucet !!!

http://www.bitcoinadultfaucet.com

I think its more about being a faucet than an adult site though .
The adult content just seems to be decoration,  or in the advertisements.

Its more like a conduit to get to Adult sites .
Would be good if it carried ads for Adult sites accepting BTC !!!!
122  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-04] Bitcoin Price Regains Ground as Traders Brace for Bitfinex News on: August 05, 2016, 02:40:25 AM

I've just heard that BITFINEX are about to announce that they are effectively insolvent and will not be able to honor outstanding accounts as a result of this so-called " HACK"!!!!

IS THIS TRUE?Huh

Does anyone know whats ACTUALLY happening  ? I gather our accounts are frozen.
What exactly are the details of this HACK!!!?Huh How was it done Huh

I assume we are talking "bank robbery" as opposed to BTC crack as general media would prefer to have us believe.

This is F%&$&g GOX..... ALL OVER AGAIN !!!!! Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Yeah thanks Misterbit,  Smiley

but I'd bet Nastyhost has those ranges already

Ill add them to my access list "collection" anyway , but the B@#$&%*!! just keeps adding new subnets

I recently found a whole bunch of new ones ...Kazuldur has them now.

125  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: July 06, 2016, 06:05:55 AM
It seems that FaucetBox's Faucets are hard to earn now. Way back before There are faucets that pay 3000-5000 Sats a day where I earn more than 100k sats in just one day. Now I barely earn 30k sats. It sad how I see only Faucets paying 500 satoshis and they have very very hard captchas to solve. I hope they were back in the old days.

Mate ...you have all the crooks and their BOTS to blame for that.

I'm sure Faucet owners would offer higher rewards and more frequently, if we could guarantee that our balance's wouldn't be  drained by thieves who's also don't register on our revenue earning mechanisms ...so we loose both ways

Maybe that's why captchas today are harder to solve now you need to be clever on solving it. Also its hard to earn the minimum 13k a day if you don't have a list of paying faucetbox faucets

Oh and of course BTC itself has become more expensive. This puts downward pressure on faucet rewards. Most people would have to juggle around the profit margin.
There's a bit of difference in giving away free BTC at $200USD as opposed to $664USD ...ya know?
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ARE NEWBIES CONSIDERED AS FOOLS? on: July 06, 2016, 05:50:47 AM
hmmm

Some of the responses to your question  tend to support your contention that Newbies experience some degree of bias.
Some of these criticisms may well be justified.

Throughout my personal journey , for the most part,  I've found the majority of senior members of this community to be respectful, inclusive and helpful.

However,  there is also a faction of  obnoxious, posturing ego manics presiding over/participating in a number of important threads.

Some of these people appear to thrive on any opportunity to demonstrate their self proclaimed superiority over others having lesser knowledge/ experience/ English.

But then, that's life really isn't it Smiley . There are people like that everywhere you go.

I 'recon there's about a 10:1 world wide "regular Joe" to "total wanker" ratio.

This decreases dramatically depending upon your proximity to any center of academia or republican rally  Grin

I love the faucetbox service and I am using them to run and host over 20 bitcoin faucets.

They have the best support and great features.

Keep up the great work dev!
You are doing the crypto community a great service.

I really mean that.

TOTALLY AGREE !!!
129  Economy / Micro Earnings / DEPO DATA CENTRE!!!!!!!! on: July 06, 2016, 03:11:28 AM
***HEY FAUCET OWNERS***

Who's getting robbed by people working through this mob?

DEPO DATA CENTRE .
organisation listed as : Trusov Ilya Igorevych
location : UI RU

I see so many attacks on my faucet coming via this lot and I've read so many posts about them and people shutting down because of them....

COMON GUYS !! ARE WE JUST GOING TO KEEP TAKING THIS CRAP?

There is PLENTY of data available on the net about this crew and their many IP ranges, networks and domains.

SURELY we have enough skilled operators in this community to track them down, Identify the actual people responsible and arrange to have them dealt with through some form of legitimate measure. i.e. banning, petition IANA,  Mom to smack his bottom ...i dunno...whatever! ...YOU TELL ME !! .....Whats good to do ? Bloody CAPTCHA and ANTIBOT Links sure as hell aren't working. So lets try a new approach and attack the problem at its source.

I personally don't have the skills required to trace these people ...My  CCNP  kung-fu is weak !...  Undecided
....but i'd bet some of you others are up to the task!!

Look...While we cant really say that they are breaking any laws , ( they are after-all just clever and able to exploit weaknesses in our own scripts)   They are most certainly a public bloody nuisance and creating distress and hardship for a significant number of hardworking people in the larger bitcoin entrepreneurial community. That in itself, is reason enough to warrant some kind of affirmative action.

Its time for some community service boys !!!! Bitcoin needs less Crooks !!!

SO WHOSE WITH ME !?...Ill get the torches ....One of you guys light a fire ...OK !!!

130  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 30, 2016, 02:05:31 PM

Can you send me samples of these IP addresses? I'll see if they're something I can ban in NastyHosts.

Ok see what I can do Smiley
131  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 30, 2016, 01:16:54 PM
Evening punters!

I'm seeing some kinda weird activity on my faucet wrt payouts that I can only attribute to some kind of BOT.

1.     Bitcoin   3MEnuhfKB86z21F3CFUAdzeKH96CCWTbst   11 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:10:32 ACST   yes
2.   Bitcoin   3GF4h5qqTSVvP4p82ZvDVbFCyQjBZaGcXH   75 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:10:30 ACST   no
3.   Bitcoin   3LXA2x7Me1KvaWp4n3XHZgGo4e7bjXKwpe   11 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:08:50 ACST   yes
4.   Bitcoin   3B2Nu1uab29xF4orfD8oEbTThbtouWpjdY           75 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:08:49 ACST   no
5.   Bitcoin   3EoScnLTZKwXNkddjcQxh4HGiYaYJpE9rT           11 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:08:28 ACST   yes
6.   Bitcoin   3GsayfzWwvr4qRbGMUrEs5MmTeDLC11qQA   75 satoshi   2016-06-29 17:08:26 ACST   no

This goes on for pages. It seems like some wanker has created a BOT of some kind that  not only nabs a payment and a referral all in one , but also changes wallet address for the next "rotation"  and judging from my server logs, the IP as well.

Yeah ok ...very clever douche-bag ...clap clap ...now PISS OFF !!

I was forced to withdraw my funds yesterday. I was getting error logs full of banned IP's , but this dick was also managing to get a trickle of coin from me too.

The  site was literally being bombarded, but this has fortunately now stopped. It was almost like a DOS attack.
The situation is currently back to normal , but I wont return my funding until I can come up with an improved security regime.

I guess i wouldn't mind if this "traffic" was registering as actual impressions , but my advertising accounts and Google analytics show almost 0 activity, so I'm just loosing money... not earning. ( Hmmm.... slightly hypocritical!..  Undecided )

These people are freaking annoying !!! I have to confess that I'm at a loss to know what to do about it . I thought I had deployed fairly good BOT traps, at least Equal to anyone else's, but I guess not.

Being a NEW faucet manager, I find this quite disappointing ...anyone got any "Viable" solutions?...PM me please
132  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Release] Bitcoin Faucet Bot on: June 29, 2016, 04:23:41 AM
Looks way dodgy to me free = dangerous

sorry for dragging an old thread up, ..
but had to cherp in lol

not all "free" things are dangerous,
i have developed lots of software (mainly bots) and ive never slipped anything malicious in

although on the other hand, not everyone has the same mentality,
but there are some good guys out there Wink

Cheers

135  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 24, 2016, 05:45:51 PM

Yea, just restoring your config.php and template's index.php should be enough, they're compatible with r64. However, just to be sure, make backup of everything, all files and database.

ok have struck a problem

In my (your) original script (r63) i added several lines to the main  index.php file, that supplied additional antibot mechanisms.

This involved inserting a block of code directly after this line

 $data[‘captcha_info’] = $captcha;

However that line does not appear to exist in r64.
Can you suggest somewhere I might stick it ( watch it !!...lol) in the r64 file?
136  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 24, 2016, 03:53:43 PM

I'll go through the code again later today and try to find a cause. For now however - as much as I hate to propose such a blunt "solution" - have you tried wiping your database clean and reinstalling the script?

I Have considered. Thought I could update to 64  at the same time if i decided to do it, but I'll have to redo a lot of tweaks I've done ...Its doable ...just a bit of a "head F%$%^", ya know? ...yeah you know ...lol

look i might go ahead and do it. Whats impressed me most about you and you're team is that you always sem to have an immediate answer to most problems . If this has you stumped , it must be something really weird ...

I gather if i save my existing Config.php and my "template/index.php  and reload on completion all should work again yeah?...all things being equal.

I'll do this and let you know..asap.
137  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 24, 2016, 02:44:23 PM
Hello.

I'm having a problem with my faucet, It's new and ready to go , but testing has revealed a problem with the actual faucet script itself  . Or at least my implementation of it.

When I attempt to use the faucet as a user, The attempt fails, The page appears to reload , but instead of presenting me with the "x satoshis was sent to your address" message it reverts back to the original page and no payment goes through .

Interestingly , after Kazuldur suggested that i turn on error display in my config.php file ,The faucet mechanism began to operate properly , a payment was sent successfully to my faucetbox account on a test,   but 3 errors print to top of the page  and an error log appears in my Public_html directory ...as follows:

[23-Jun-2016 09:08:51 UTC] PHP Notice:  Undefined index: ip_check_server in/ ####/######/public_html/index.php on line 1570
[23-Jun-2016 09:08:51 UTC] PHP Notice:  Undefined index: ip_check_server in /####/######/public_html/index.php on line 1586
[23-Jun-2016 09:08:51 UTC] PHP Warning:  Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /#####/#######/public_html/index.php:1570) in /home/#######/public_html/index.php on line 1620

When I turn off the error display parameter in config.php ...the faucet stops working again???!!!

I know very little about coding , but I've tried to identify the problems . I think i've located the correct lines of code and  it looks to me that something is not right with the retrieval of the NastyHosts.com list. I'm not sure what the header warning is all about though .

I've requested help from the faucetbos guru's , but they seem a little busy at the moment ...can anyone else offer a suggestion on what I might do to rectify this fault?

I'm very much a novice when it comes to coding so you'll need to be pretty specific ...sorry Sad
138  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 24, 2016, 06:38:27 AM
hey faucet guru's

I now you must be busy , but....don't 'spose anyone has a spare minute to cast an eye at TT  (35422) do you Smiley

I'm keen to get this sorted
139  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 24, 2016, 06:34:35 AM
İn faucetbox script , we cant put banners in the center of the page.opening the page you see the claim button , so nobody needs to see the down parts of the site.you can put at most 5-6 banners that can be seen easily , rest is in vain.can sth be done for that , or advice to me to solve that?

Edit the template file directly. However usually putting more than 3 banners actually decreases your revenue, so I'm not sure you want to do that Wink

Hi i noticed this in an old posting

Why do you say this? Why does placing more than 3 banners on a site decrease revenue?

That opinion is based on:

1. personal experience
2. Google AdSense policies
3. opinions of other people, like https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-advertising-industry-best-practices-for-number-of-ad-units-per-page

So it's just an opinion, I don't have any research with explanation or even evidence that I can point you to. However I think that it's caused mainly by two things:

1. if a user sees too many ads, they start to give more mental focus on finding out what's and ad and what isn't, which makes them less likely to actually engage with ad
2. ad networks try to choose the best paying ads, but they will try to not repeat the same ad in multiple banners on single page view. So let's say there are 5 ads that can be displayed on your page, worth respectively $1, $2, $3, $4 and $5. If you only have 3 ad slots, the ads that will be shown will be $5, $4 and $3. So an ad click gives you a minimum of $3. However if you have 5 ad slots, then the cheapest ad that's shown on your page is worth only $1.

It's only a speculation, I'm not an ad expert, so take it with a grain of salt Smiley

Thanks mate Smiley
