Most people will quit when the income from mining will be smaller than the cost of the electricity + maintenance

what do you think will happen when no more people are mining bitcoin but there is still bitcoin left to be mined?

People will never quit mining bitcoin as long as it is a valuable and spendable. The insane difficulty that we had reached would slowly adjust down to reasonable levels and it would once again be profitable for a small time miner hop in and make money with it. The beauty is that by mining you are supporting transactions. By keeping mining profitable it ensures a long term decentralized network with lots of support all over the world.
123  Economy / Goods / Re: buy beef with bitcoins on: March 11, 2014, 12:24:25 AM
I think you should find a trusted escrow such as Tomatocage to use for this.

Next you need a price list. Something like:
#1 - Steak package A $xx
#2 - Steak package B $xx
#3 - Steak package C $xx
#3 - Roast package A $xx
#4 - Roast package B $xx
etc

Then people can just PM you with a list of what they want, such as:
"Ill take the following
2 - #3,
1 - #2,
4 - #4
shipped to springfield Il"

You can then forward that PM to your escrow contact. They will do the math and contact you and the buyer with a BTC address and amount that the buyer has to send. Once you see that the address received the coins, you can send out your meat.

Until you get your name established, i would be weary of using a website to buy meat.

Also i would price your meat in USD and then ask for BTC using the bitstamp rate. (that way there is only 1 number instead of a buy amount and a sell amount)
Or if you are going long on BTC you can just ask for BTC but this may seem risky with the volatility of BTC if you will be converting back to USD.

Try to find some hero members willing to try out your product and give a review. Also pics or a youtube tour of your farm would help your offer 1000%. This place is ridden with scammers from across the globe and if you can show you are legit, you will do well.

41 bitcoin HOLY SHIT.

This is going to be VERY good for the bitcoin communities reputation once it hits the news. (providing the media portrays it correctly)
126  Other / Off-topic / Re: Since my last post, we were almost killed due to some NIGGER! on: March 04, 2014, 01:54:38 AM
Wow, another bigot live and online!

If you had no job and beat your GF, I too would wish that someone beats the shit out of you, but calling you "trailer trash cracker" is in no way the same thing as calling a black person a nigger.

First, trailers are filled with all colored people, its not calling you out because of the way you were born but calling you out on where you live and your financial status.

and cracker.. come on.. don't even get me started!

Please Bob call me anything you want. Write a nice paragraph and break me down. I want to see if i will get so embarrassed of my pathetic achievements in life that i will go to the police/HR/social media to pull the race card.  Must be nice to always have an easy button to hit during an altercation.
127  Other / Off-topic / Re: Since my last post, we were almost killed due to some NIGGER! on: March 03, 2014, 04:46:32 AM
I try to limit the use of racial slurs, but when a black man fits the popular stereotype of a "nigger" to a fucking tee, i think using the term is justified against them. If i didn't have a job and beat my girlfriend, i would hope someone would beat the shit out of me, and say "do something with your life, you trailer trash woman beating cracker" I wouldn't run to the police after getting "physically and verbally assaulted by a racist" because i would know that I failed my race and deserved everything i had coming. I dont like useless people of any ethnicity, but when someone is unemployed and is stoned 24/7, getting arrested, crashing vehicles, beating women etc, i just want to ask them if they are fucking proud for confirming the stereotype, and then hand them a job application. Sadly the systems that are in place today just prop these people up, when what they really need is to hit rock bottom as soon as possible.

Its amazing a company that big cannot come up with a decent chat program on PC or mobile. Also I'm not sure why they would want whatsapp. It will fall to BBM once all of the features make it to android/iphone.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Network Description on: February 21, 2014, 02:50:24 AM
None of these computers have more control over the network than any other computer.”"

How about:

The control of the network is distributed based on the processing power of each individual computer.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road 2.0 hacked through malleability, ~4000 BTC STOLEN on: February 18, 2014, 05:05:02 AM
Of course. I mean, given how often this happens- its hard to understand why someone would deposit funds on these things.

It's hard to understand why someone would pay someone to send them illegal drugs through the U.S. mail, often to their actual physical home address, turning what would otherwise be a minor possession misdemeanor into a major federal felony subjecting them to following a state jail term with a trip to Club Fed.

What conceivably makes this look like a good idea?  People are stupid, I guess.

Also receiving and signing for an un-opened package at your door is not against the law. Unless someone can prove that you ordered illegal drugs online they have nothing to charge you with.

I am running BAMT, and want to ensure that the betarigs pool will be switched to as quickly as possible to keep the renter happy.
How long should i expect it to take before cgminer automatically picks up betarigs.com? Is there anything i can do to speed up the changeover process? Here is my config file.

Few things i could use if implemented...

Sort by column - Make the column titles click-able so you can sort up or down.

Results per page - lets you see 25 rigs, 50 rigs, 100 rigs, 250 rigs, or all. This will work well with the the sort by column feature i explained above.

Make the "Rented" buttons blue instead of red. The color red can then be used for the "Offline" rigs.  One other option would be to leave the "Rented" as red, and then have the "Offline" rigs hidden by default. You would need to populate a "Show Offline Rigs" checkbox in the search  filter section in order to see those rigs.

Remove the "Rent A Rig" button on your own rigs page. When you click on your own rig while still logged in, the Rent button is still displayed. I didn't try to rent my own rig, but it makes things a little confusing.

No you actually dont read. Thats the problem. THE LA6M and LA3M are the exact same. One has 20 pc one has 10.

Stop spreading bull. Patiently waiting? He has a ton of pics up?

+1 , exactly, lol

Direct me to a picture of the LA6M case.

There's no "case" per se.  Basically what you get is 20 of those little red-heatsink miner devices, 4 power supplies, lots of cables, 2 USB hubs, and 2 controller boards.

there will be two new model. one is 6MHS, one is 12MHS. put in industry case.

Has any senior member ordered LA6M USD5100+USD300 units and received  confirmation after sending payment ?

i have ordered 2 x LA3M and received tracking yesterday

He was asking about the LA6M. Many of us are patiently waiting to see a real pic of this model before shelling out $5400. Without pics or tracking numbers, its just a myth I am afraid. I want to believe...

With two curves with different units on the Y axis, you can make them intersect anywhere. The intersection has no meaning.

Even comparing the shape of the two curves over the same time is fairly meaningless. Difficult is just the output of an equation and doesn't actually represent the change in cost of mining, since there were quite a few developments over time that increased hashrate for the same investment.
Then why have they been mimicking eachother since the beginning of bitcoin?
