I think it's a bit disgusting that we're joking this much in a thread like this. Joking is fine, but please limit it a bit.

RIP.

The answer: decentralized exchanges.  Wink

"Decentralized" is the buzzword of the day, especially insofar as Bitcoin goes. In the real world, though, it losses it's applicability.

Sure, someone could build a decentralized crypto--to--crypto exchange. Maybe. Even then, I'd have lots of questions, but there's no point in rattling them off until someone actually creates one.

But a decentralized Bitcoin to fiat exchanges? Impossible. The global financial system won't accommodate that. There will need to be a bank account or many bank accounts. Cash balances held. Wires sent and received. Which means there needs to be a person or company that owns and manages those accounts.

Decentralized could work in theory for a fully virtual currency, but once you have to handle fiat currency, the decentralized idea falls apart.

I see what you mean. There are still a lot of questions to be answered but like you said, all at its own pace.

By the way, the link in your signature is broken.

So... there is no Geforce 960 in that store? Only Geforce 970... But judging by the prices of other graphics cards your price is higher than Amazon or Newegg which is accepting bitcoin as well...

Well, save the link and tell them!  Grin

Are you sure you are the original owner of the background image that you are adding the text to?
Nope, thats why it is so cheap. If this is not allowed, I can delete thread.

I actually don't know if this is allowed or not. I do know that moderators don't really remove threads, so I'd let this thread stay, maybe you'll get a few customers  Smiley

Are you located in Europe, by any chance? I'd like to ship to the Netherlands. Would love some vouches for that!
As a matter of fact, I'm from The Netherlands. I've received over 8 packages now without any problems. However, I never bought more than one "slof" per delivery, so that might be a reason why.

I don't need more than one "slof" every 4 weeks, I think...  Lips sealed That'd be a bit too much for my lungs.

How toevallig that you're from NL too  Grin

OP, you should get someone to make you a new website. Your products are amazing (and deserve to be know worldwide) but your website seems a bit outdated.

For sure. You could get a LOT more clients if you'd update the site.

Bitcoin is too complex for the average person
What? average person does not need to know anything about it besides that he can pay with it

this is how average ppl end up losing bitcoin... they need to know how to backup ther wallet at least

Which could be as simple as "backing up" your CC.

Wait, when is this hard fork going to happen? Or is this not decided yet?
136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Confirmation Time on: March 01, 2015, 07:22:08 PM
Well you only require 2 confirmations to avoid double spending. So you don't really need 6 confirmations all the time.

But wouldn't that still be 20 minutes (on average)?

138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: March 01, 2015, 07:18:29 PM
If McDonalds have announced they are accepting a "digital currency", it will have to be bitcoin. There is no other alternative. If it is a new payment method they are working with credit card companies, they wouldn't be calling it "digital currency".

They might call it a digital currency just for marketing purposes, though.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO: bitcoin is far ahead! Altcoins are distractions! on: February 25, 2015, 06:47:49 PM
I don't think altcoins will ever surpass bitcoin. I think bitcoin will be the "main" cryptocoin and altcoins can be used, for example, in games.
