There is no doubt that Africa is doing well in recent times regarding the use of Bitcoin as well as other altcoins. The problem I find is that we on our part are doing very little to the sell the blockchain technology to those who are alien to it. I see Africa as a part of the globe where many countries are struggling to have their fiat currency stable and therefore wouldn't have had a problem using bitcoin. We are on track although but it would be good if we could be a little faster.

I have not got much money for investing but with the little I have, I set a target before I invest. For instance, I aim at making a $50 profit on a $200 investment. Once I am able meet this expectation, I feel my target has been met without any emotions. Making a little profit is better than loosing over anticipated huge profits. Being able to execute buy and sell orders at the right time is the most important requirement in cryptocurrency investments.

Yes, I agree. But I think here on bitcointalk we also need to help others. At least answer the questions and recommend some sources on cryptos.
It is said that "God helps those who help themselves". It is very true that we need help from others just as we also need to help others. Recommendations may be made, either good or bad. It is then unto the individual in need of help to choose what he/she needs. At that stage, no one selects for, you become responsible for whatever help you choose to use. |

My balance is being drained into zero, without even a single hit of a number. It really is annoying in my stead, oh well, its just a mere few dollars  just wonder'n if I should keep this up and make another bet again or not, last draw for my account will be on Apr 7 I hope I hit it even just a 2 numbers on it. Ok, it is not what you are thinking. Bitcoin is not a Get rich quick scheme, but the UK series "How To Get Rich Quick - Season 1 episode 3 includes some footage of a rich entrepreneur, Dave Fishwick, creator of Bank of Dave, discussing Crypto currencies as one investment option to become rich. Luckily for us, the Bitcoin price at the time, generated a small profit when that episode was shot and he even commented that the profit he made then, were the equivalent of 3 years of interest in a local Bank. I made 800%+ profit on my initial investment over a period of 4 years. (200% per year) - Go watch the series, it is full of good tips for the budding entrepreneur out there.  <It is also not focusing on Crypto currencies, but all the methods that can be used to increase your wealth>  Edit - I wonder how many people will only reply to the Thread title and not on the content of the actual topic now.  I am very glad for seeing this thread, I would try and get this series and watch it with my friends who doubt me anytime I tell them that Bitcoin is even in the movies. And to speak about the topic " Bitcoin is not a Get rich quick scheme ", I have no reason to doubt this as the early adopters had to wait several years before they finally broke through profit. 2018 was a very bad year. We've hurt as much as we're not expecting. The bear season must end. I hope the bull season is coming. The market needs it. I think Ethereum FORK will have a positive impact on the market. The whales need to give up the market a little bit.
Those who bought btc at 1k, 2018 was not bad for them. We saw ATH in 2017 and major correction was inevitable. Without major correction bull market will never come. We all are waiting for bull market. But it seems bear market last but eventually bull will drive the market Yes the bull run will eventually happen just as anticipated. Signs are very clear at this very moment and the hopes are that we experience a very long lasting bull run if it happens. |

Per this current time I would invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin unlike ICOs, already has a very solid foundation and it would be a very wise decision to invest in it despite the fact it may take a longer time for you to make reasonable profit. ICOs on the are used to be very profitable but that was then, not this era where most projects are unable to reach half of their soft cap.

You can surely invest in cryptocurrency. Crypto investment does not promise profits to investors even though there is so much profit to be derived. It is a free market and anyone can join. You just need to do some little research, familiarize yourself with various terms and activities and you are good to operate.

Bitcoin shouldn't be followed by sentiment. Some people here in this community trust bitcoin and they know that this is just the beginning of this technology, so they still believe in bitcoin and invest in it, like I do, and there are other people who afraid when they see this huge volatility of price in the market, so mostly they quite the crypto world because they find it so risky. Everyone is free to quite or to be a strong believe in the crypto, more especially bitcoin. Personally, I get a huge profit from bitcoin and I know how the market goes and I'm still in profit even when bitcoin decrease to 2k$.
The cryptocurrency market is a market which usually deviates from the way we expect it to and as such it should be considered as a game of chance. Today its like this, tomorrow its the other way round. It is no place for people with emotions. Patience together with perseverance will help better than sentiments. |

Although the difference is very huge, it can be justified by the current market condition. After the the fall in bitcoin value, all other coins and tokens witnessed a great shock and as a result investors are looking for other options other than ICOs to invest their money. Others are waiting until the value of cryptocurrencies start appreciating before they invest again.I am very positive that there will be a rise in the rate of ICO investments as the year approaches its end.

I like your " I wont give up " spirit. Its good to continue doing what you were doing years back once it satisfies your needs. 5 years ago, no one knew BTC will reach its 2017 price but it did. A total surprise to all critics. Who knows, we never need to give up because another 2017 bitcoin character may be ahead of us.

For investors who want to get big profits, now is the right time to buy, I am sure that the market can rise again so by buying when it is cheaper, it is easier to get big profits.
I also see this when BTC was still at $7K, 6K, and 5K, but the price has really dropped. So now it's up to the people if they will buy or not, if they believe the price will further go down, then it's not the right time to buy as they can have a chance to buy it lower than the current price. On the other hand, if we think that the price has bottomed out, we should not hesitate buying now. Yes, while all prices seem to be at the lowest, critical analysis should be carried out because I believe some projects have come to a standstill and it will take almost the impossible for coins or tokens of such projects to rise in price. That being said, I have also realised that most investors are now buy tokens of existing projects since ICOs are no more profitable. |

Tokens received as reward for participating in a bounty campaign can not be considered as free because they were earned as a result of hard work. Just as investors invest their money, bounty hunters also invest their time and other skills in the bounties so such tokens if received, also deserve to be sold at a profitable price. I never intend to sell at a loss.

Bounty hunters alone should not to be blamed or held responsible for dumping because they are also victims of the dumping. How much tokens are usually given to bounty hunters? Amount hardly goes above 2% and I do not think there is a bounty hunter who doesn't want to see his tokens sold at higher prices. What about situations where bounty hunters are paid in either ether or bitcoins. Don't such projects suffer dumping of tokens? What I am thinking is that some investors also dump very well especially when they need money to invest in new ICOs which they think will yield much profit.

Mass adoption is the key factor for Bitcoin to its all time high and even beyond that. Most investors and crypto lovers are staying away from purchasing and using Bitcoin because of the bad news they hear. Should bitcoin be accepted and used worldwide, its price will also propel high.

Looking at the current situation with the market and receiving bounty tokens is very disappointing but what keeps me working is the fact that before 2017, crypto currencies had lesser value and 2017 came and everything changed. I am anticipating another great year to come and prices will reach new peaks again. It is the only hope that keeps me working for more tokens.

Stopping all at once is never possible, it is a gradual process and it requires self discipline. Try first by reducing the number of bets you place a day, then a week and probably a month. In doing this just give yourself an excuse why you can not bet as usual. If you are successful in this, then you can wake one day and say " I'm not betting today" and you will be able to control yourself. Good luck
